I also wanted to get some of the lower end workers a chance in the spotlight. Clearly this resulted in a less than successful show but I was able to finish up the Studd/ABA storyline which was a drain and I got to test out Macho Man in the main event (it didn't work) so all in all it could have been worse. At least it wasn't televised! -------------------- Vince McMahon announces several matches for this weekend's PPV: NO WAY OUT ~WWF Heavyweight Championship~ Bob Backlund vs Jimmy Snuka ~WWF Intercontinental Championship~ Jimmy Snuka vs Don Muraco ~WWF Tag Team Championship~ Afa/Sika vs Rocky Johnson/Tony Atlas ~WWF Ladies Championship Fatal Fourway~ The Fabulous Moolah vs Mae Young vs Judy Martin vs Leilani Kai ~Steel Cage Match~ Andre The Giant vs The Man who put a bounty on his head (announced at Match) ~Win or Your Fired Match~ Bruno Sammartino/Pat Patterson vs Randy Savage/Vince McMahon, Jr ~Tag Team Hardcore Match~ Ray Stevens/George Steele vs The Strongbows Plus much much more! And yes Jimmy Snuka is being forced to wrestle back to back for two championships! Will the Superfly become a living legend by winning BOTH the Heavyweight and Intercontinental titles on the same night or is this more than one man can handle? Also there will be plenty of guest appearances and more GCW War fallout so please make your predictions and then stay tuned for the results!

~WWF Heavyweight Championship~ Bob Backlund vs Jimmy Snuka *I'm going with Backlund on this simply out of loyalty, but I have a feeling Snuka might make history. ~WWF Intercontinental Championship~ Jimmy Snuka vs Don Muraco *To me, at least, these two are on the toppermost of the poppermost. You really can't go wrong with either. I have a feeling, though, that the Superfly is going to come out on top in this one. ~WWF Tag Team Championship~ Afa/Sika vs Rocky Johnson/Tony Atlas ~WWF Ladies Championship Fatal Fourway~ The Fabulous Moolah vs Mae Young vs Judy Martin vs Leilani Kai *When I was about 10, I thought Elizabeth Montgomery (from Bewitched) and Leilani Kai were two of the prettiest women I had ever seen. I still stick by Elizabeth Montgomery. :) ~Steel Cage Match~ Andre The Giant vs The Man who put a bounty on his head (announced at Match) *It's hard to say, considering the Mystery Man could be Andy Kaufman. :) ~Win or Your Fired Match~ Bruno Sammartino/Pat Patterson vs Randy Savage/Vince McMahon, Jr Duh! Unless there are plans for a mysterious masked man named 'Mini Mac the Heart Attack', there is no way Bruno and Patterson come out on top. ~Tag Team Hardcore Match~ Ray Stevens/George Steele vs The Strongbows Looking forward to this one. Good luck!

~WWF Heavyweight Championship~ Bob Backlund vs Jimmy Snuka Bob's stamina combined with a tired Snuka results in a successful defense. ~WWF Intercontinental Championship~ Jimmy Snuka vs Don Muraco Gotta love Muraco, but the Superfly won't lose both matches. ~WWF Tag Team Championship~ Afa/Sika vs Rocky Johnson/Tony Atlas The Samoans won't be stopped. At leat not by Soul Man and MR. USA ~WWF Ladies Championship Fatal Fourway~ The Fabulous Moolah vs Mae Young vs Judy Martin vs Leilani Kai Youth seems to be the key for Vinnie Mac, so... ~Steel Cage Match~ Andre The Giant vs The Man who put a bounty on his head (announced at Match) Something tells me "the Man" will have some aces up his rich sleeves. ~Win or Your Fired Match~ Bruno Sammartino/Pat Patterson vs Randy Savage/Vince McMahon, Jr Ditto DBoon's commentary ~Tag Team Hardcore Match~ Ray Stevens/George Steele vs The Strongbows Every match is hardcore for Steele

Saturday, Week 4, February 1983 NO WAY OUT Philadelphia Spectrum located in Philadelphia, PA Showing Live on Pay-Per-View 7,600 people are in attendance --------------------------------------- Pre-Show: Steiner Brothers vs Pedro Morales/Mick Foley (C Rating) ~This match is brutal from the beginning for the Steiner Brothers as the veteran Pedro Morales beats both men from one end of the ring to the other. Mick Foley does not even get a chance to tag in and the Steiner Brothers mount zero offense. After an easy pin of Rick Steiner, Pedro Morales jumps out the ring and confronts Vince McMahon who is working the broadcast in the announcers’ booth. There is a heated exchange as Pedro makes it clear that he is a Main Eventer and that Vince McMahon better not forget that the veteran workers are who made this company! The two are separated after some more threats are made and Vince returns to his broadcast duties and begins to blast Pedro Morales, calling him a “has been” and yesterday’s news. 10 Man Battle Royal featuring DDP, Eddie Gilbert, Lex Luger, Masked Superstar, Mr. Fuji, Rick Rude, ABA, Tiger Chung Lee, Tito Santana, and Tony Garea (C+ Rating) ~This is a solid match with Eddie Gilbert, Masked Superstar, Mr. Fuji, and Tony Garea making it to the final four. The veterans worked together the whole match to eliminate the rookies and then square off to see who is the best. Masked Superstar finally gets the win after he ducks out of the way of an attempted running double clothesline by Eddie Gilbert and Tony Garea who go flying out of the ring. Vince McMahon actually brings the match down a bit as he moans about the “old timers” working slow and lacking any real excitement. However, the crowd seemed to enjoy the match and a few Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW) signs could be seen in the stands. --------------------------------------- Main Show: The WWF is going to war! (B Rating) ~The main show opens with Vince McMahon, Jr and the Macho Man Randy Savage in the ring. McMahon goes on about how the WWF is going to destroy GCW and that NO workers from GCW are welcome in the WWF because white trash should stay home in its Georgia trailer park! The crowd roars its hatred of McMahon and a G C W chant breaks out. The chant is so loud that it takes McMahon a few moments to regain his focus but he finishes his speech hyping the “Win or Your Fired Match” tonight against Patterson/Sammartino. He talks about the armed guards waiting to escort the old timers out of town. Macho Man jumps in with a few of his patented catch phrases and overall the segment draws a ton of heat. Lets get hardcore (B- Rating) ~Ray Stevens and George Steele along with manager Jimmy “Mouth of the South” Hart cut a brief promo in the backstage area hyping their hardcore match against The Strongbows. Plenty of insensitive slurs are used against Native Americans and George Steele drools on himself. Basically a low class stunt to draw heat and as usual it works. Fatal Fourway for the WWF Ladies Title (C+ Rating) ~The first match of the night features The Fabulous Moolah, Mae Young, Judy Martin, and Leilani Kai fighting it out for the WWF Ladies Championship. Usually watching a fourway catfight is very entertaining but when two of the women are 50+ years old it just loses something. However, in the end the youngest and “sexist” of the group which is Leilani Kai gets the win and is the new WWF Ladies Champion! The Fabulous Moolah gets a little crazy at the end of the match saying that she was supposed to win and then attacks Kai with the title belt. A four way brawl erupts and security finally brings it all under control. McMahon is giggling like a little girl ringside as the action goes down. Snuka looks to make history (B+ Rating) ~Jimmy Snuka and his manager Captain Lou Albano cut a brief promo predicting that Jimmy Snuka will make history tonight by winning both the WWF Heavyweight AND Intercontinental titles! The crowd eats it up as both the Captain and Jimmy Snuka on their A game tonight. Ray Stevens/George “The Animal” Steele vs The Strongbows (B Rating) ~This tag team hardcore match is very rough from the start and the announce crew mention how George Steele probably has no idea that this match is anything special since he never follows the rules anyway! Miss Elizabeth looks on in horror as Stevens and Steele beat The Strongbows into a bloody mess. The Strongbows are clearly out of their element and you really have to question why they were booked in a match like this. After Stevens gets the pin on Jules Strongbow, George Steele wanders around the outside of the ring towards the Strongbows' manager, Miss Elizabeth. The young beauty clearly has the beast’s attention and she quickly exits backstage to avoid Steele although George continues to eye her with a very curious look on his face. The Champ Speaks (A Rating) ~WWF Heavyweight Champion Bob Backlund comes out to ringside while the next match is being setup for a brief interview with Gorilla Monsoon. Bob predicts a victory tonight and says that he will keep a close eye on Lou Albano because he expects some kind of ambush from. The interview comes off very well as Bob is continuing his good guy role and playing it up to perfection. Clearly the fans love Backlund even if McMahon doesn’t. On a side note, McMahon was not ringside during the Backlund interview. As Backlund leaves, Monsoon hypes the upcoming WWF Tag Team Championship match between The Wild Samoans and Tony Atlas/Rocky Johnson. The Wild Samoans vs Tony Atlas/Rocky Johnson for the WWF Tag Team Championship (B+ Rating) ~This is the strongest match of the evening so far as both teams battle back and forth. There is a lot of history between these two teams and while the Wild Samoans are probably the more talented of the two, the team of Atlas/Johnson has always seemed to find a way to make it tough on the Samoans. Near the ten minute mark Afa and Atlas are on the outside going toe to toe when Rocky catches Sika off the ropes for a big powerbomb…he goes for the cover…Sika appears out cold…Afa doesn’t see what is happening…the referee starts the count…the crowd roars…OH NO it’s the Macho Man Randy Savage running out from the backstage area carrying a steel chair! He swings and knocks out the charging Rocky Johnson and then knocks out the referee! McMahon begins to laugh wildly and talks about how the Macho Man is an unstoppable force in the WWF! The massacre continues as Savage tracks down Tony Atlas and delivers a chair shot to his head also! Finally security clears the ring but not before Afa/Sika and the Macho Man put a serious beating on Atlas/Johnson. The Wild Samoans are DQed giving Atlas/Johnson the win but it is meaningless since the titles don’t change hands on a DQ. It would appear that the Savage vs Atlas/Johnson feud has just gone to another level! Captain Lou Strikes Again (A Rating) ~In yet another backstage promo, Captain Lou and Jimmy Snuka are hyping the Superfly’s matches tonight. However, they are interrupted by a WWF staff member saying that some of the paperwork needs to be finalized regarding how Snuka is getting paid. Captain Lou says he will take care of it and disappears off screen leaving Snuka looking a bit bewildered before he turns toward the camera and finishes the hype promo. Backstage Attack (B- Rating) ~Now we see Pat Patterson and Bruno Sammartino walking backstage toward the ring for their match. Both men look pumped up and are ready to get a big win when Vince McMahon and Randy Savage ambush them from behind! Savage and McMahon put a real beating on the old timers before telling them to get up and get out to the ring! As McMahon and Savage run off toward the ring we see Pedro Morales just in the edge of the camera’s view. He saw the entire attack and doesn’t appear pleased by what has just happened… Vince McMahon/Randy Savage vs Pat Patterson/Bruno Sammartino (B Rating) ~Before the match starts, Ray “The Crippler” Stevens joins the announce team as he takes the place of Vince McMahon. Gorilla Monsoon questions what Stevens is doing here and that Stevens is nothing more than a McMahon goon who is here as an insurance policy. After a few insults back and forth between Stevens and Monsoon, the competitors enter the ring and the Win or Your Fired Match begins. The match is a good one as McMahon even shows some decent moves in the ring although he only tags in when the opponent is first softened up by Savage. Everything appears to be falling into place for McMahon when Pedro Morales comes running out from the backstage area. Ray Stevens jumps up from the announce booth to intercept Morales but Morales knocks Stevens into the front row and out of action. Next Macho Man goes after Morales and the two men lock up outside. This confusion leaves McMahon alone in the ring with Sammartino who makes quick work of him and before Savage can react, the referee is calling for the bell…Sammartino got the pin and the team of Patterson/Sammartino are the winners!!! The crowd goes nuts as McMahon is beside himself, he can’t believe what has happened! The crowd taunts McMahon/Savage as they leave ringside and the winners celebrate in the ring. Is McMahon out of a job? What about the Macho Man? Pedro Morales joins Sammartino and Patterson in the ring afterwards and clearly we have a new force to be reckoned with in the WWF! They might be old but they just whipped McMahon's butt! Don’t Forget Donnie (B+ Rating) ~Don Muraco and his manager Jimmy “Mouth of the South” Hart cut a promo backstage hyping their IC match tonight against Snuka. Hart plays up the underdog role of Muraco and says that nobody is giving Muraco any credit or even thinking he has a chance to win. The segment really draws some heat as Muraco is looking sharp and Hart is killer on the microphone tonight. Don Muraco vs Jimmy Snuka for the WWF Intercontinental Championship (A* Rating) ~While some of the other matches tonight have been good…this match is nothing short of legendary. The two men battle back and forth with non-stop action hitting high risk move after high risk move and executing with precision. Jimmy Hart is wildly annoying on the outside with his mega phone and Lou Albano is very amusing as he threatens to attack Jimmy Hart every time the two men get close to each other. Around the 12 minute mark, Snuka appears to have the edge and is climping the ropes for his Superfly Splash with Muraco lying prone in the ring when Bob Backlund comes running out the back and grabs Snuka’s leg knocking him from the top rope. The ref sees nothing as he is trying to separate the two managers who are arguing with each other. Snuka hits the ground very hard and seems to have the wind knocked out of him as a weakened Muraco rolls over on top of him to try for the pin….1….2….3! The bell sounds and Don Muraco is the new WWF Intercontinental Champion thanks to a little help from Bob Backlund. A video replay is shown of Backlund’s involvement in the match and the crowd cheers. Snuka appears injured and is actually helped to the back by EMS workers…things could be looking down for him as he still has to face Backlund in the Main Event. On a side note, Vince McMahon did not appear at the announce booth for this match and his spot was covered by Eric Bischoff who announces that he was told to finish the show by “higher ups”. No word on McMahon or Savage as this point. Attacker Revealed (A Rating) ~After a short break for the fans to regroup after all of the excitement, the house lights go off. The silhouette of a man appears in the ring but it is not clear who he is. The mystery man begins to speak saying he is the one responsible for the bounty that was placed on Andre The Giant’s head and tonight he will finish the work that others began. The lights come on and the mystery attacker is revealed…it is Superstar Billy Graham! The Superstar begins to laugh and taunt the crowd with a flare that only the Superstar has. The fans boo and the segment draws a ton of heat. However, Graham quickly exits the ring as a new roar is heard…the roar of Andre the Giant who is lumbering out from the back toward the ring! Andre the Giant vs Superstar Billy Graham (A Rating) ~While not the most technical match you will ever see, these two guys put on a great “Sports Entertainment” match with Andre carrying most of the offense although Graham has his moments. The crowd is cheering every move and the arena feels like it is about to explode. Graham’s manager, the Grand Wizard, is working the crowd from his ringside position like only he can when he suddenly decides to get involved as things turn bad for his wrestler. Andre has one hand around Graham’s throat ready for the choke slam and the win that will follow…when The Grand Wizard jumps up onto the ring apron and swings his walking stick at Andre’s head. This proves to be a bad decision as The Wiz misses and Andre uses his free hand to grab The Wiz by the throat! Andre then turns and does a double chock slam lifting both men into the air and slamming them to the canvas! Andre then places one foot on the Superstar and gets the 3 count for the win. The crowd goes nuts and Andre proceeds to pick up and throw both men out of the ring! Looks like Andre has settled this score and proven that no bounty is worth taking on a Giant for! Bob Backlund vs Jimmy Snuka (A Rating) ~The main event for the WWF Heavyweight title is finally ready to go. Backlund is first out and looks ready for action. Next out is Snuka who has heavy bandages around his midsection. Eric Bischoff reports that Snuka has “broken ribs” and a lesser man would be in the hospital right now. The match is a great one as they play up Snuka’s injury for all its worth. And while Snuka certainly doesn’t have broken ribs, he does appear truly injured, however he continues to battle like the champion he is. At various points both managers, Arnold Skaalund & Lou Albano, interfere to help their worker out of a bad spot but in the end Backlund is able to finally wear down Snuka and apply his Cross Face Chicken Wing and get the win. After the match Backlund helps up Snuka who is clearly exhausted and raises his hand to show the crowd that Snuka really gave it his all. The crowd cheers but Snuka’s manager, Lou Albano, appears disgusted and quickly gets Snuka out of the ring and tells Backlund that this isn’t over. The show closes with Backlund celebrating in the ring and the fans cheering. --------------------------------------- WWF Challenge Preview: *Appearances by Vince McMahon, Randy Savage, Lou Albano, & Jimmy Snuka *Pedro Morales vs Ray Stevens *Masked Superstar vs Bruno Sammartino *Tito Santana vs The Iron Shiek *Mr. Fuji/Tiger Chung Lee vs Atlas/Johnson *And much much more! --------------------------------------- Show Final Rating: A

Palumbo Center located in Pittsburgh, PA Showing Live on TV Cable East 4,884 people are in attendance --------------------------------------- Pre-Show: Total Perfection (Rick Rude/Lex Luger) vs Eddie Gilbert (E Rating) ~Not a strong match as Gilbert tries to work with the two youngsters and show them a thing or two about wrestling. The idea was to help Total Perfection draw heat by double teaming and cheating to defeat Gilbert, however the crowd doesn’t seem to be buying it and the match is a flop. Lex “Total Package” Luger finally gets the pin on Gilbert after some outside interference by manager Jimmy Hart. The Glamour Girls (Leilani Kai/Judy Martin vs Mae Young/The Fabulous Moolah (C+ Rating) ~As the only female wrestlers currently on the roster, this group is getting used to working together and puts on a solid warm up match. WWF Ladies Champ Leilani Kai gets the win for the Glamour Girls by putting the pin on Mae Young at the 10 minute mark. --------------------------------------- Main Show: Excuses! Excuses! (B+ Rating) ~Things open up with Vince McMahon, Jr. and Randy Savage in the middle of the ring. The fans are booing loudly and chants of YOU GOT FIRED are heard throughout the arena. McMahon goes on to explain that he has reversed the decision of last night’s match and is giving himself & Randy Savage a win by disqualification. The crowd does not seem pleased by this decision and within moments of this announcement Pedro Morales, Bruno Sammartino, and Pat Patterson come out from the back to confront McMahon. McMahon says that as punishment for his interference, Pedro Morales is being booked in a match tonight against Ray Stevens. Sammartino will also be punished by being forced to work against The Masked Superstar. Finally McMahon looks at Patterson and tells him that he needs to take some time off in the ring and Vince has a “special” surprise for him. With that, McMahon & Savage leave the ring to the boos of the crowd and chants of YOU GOT FIRED! The Iron Sheik vs Tito Santana (B Rating) ~Good opening match with solid work on both sides. Sheik finally gets the win by pinfall thanks to interference by his manager The Grand Wizard. The Wiz and Sheik leave the ring after the win while drawing plenty of heat from the crowd. Vince McMahon is absent from his announce position and Eric Bischoff covers the match in his place alongside Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes. Patty’s Playhouse (B- Rating) ~Seemingly never able to get enough TV time, Vince McMahon appears on the big screen after the previous match to announce that a new “talk show” will debut next week. The show is called Patty’s Playhouse and will be hosted by Pat Patterson! McMahon then begins laughing and seems quite pleased with this obvious attempt to discredit and embarrass Patterson. McMahon goes on to say that he has a major announcement that will be made at the end of the show and this announcement will alter the course of wrestling history…FOREVER! Mr. Fuji/Tiger Chung Lee vs Rocky Johnson/Tony Atlas (B Rating) ~Vince McMahon returns ringside to work this match and Bischoff returns to the backstage area. McMahon takes a few minutes to talk with Classie Freddie Blassie who is the manager of Mr. Fuji/Tiger Chung Lee. This match is equally as solid as the previous one, as all four men put on a very professional effort. There is plenty of back and forth action until Randy Savage walks down to the ring. He grabs the headset from Lord Alfred Hayes and knocks the old man to the ground before taking his place at the announce table. McMahon and Savage take the next few minutes to hype themselves and talk about how Savage is the best wrestler in the business today. Finally Savage gets up from the announce table and jumps right into the ring! He attacks Rocky Johnson while the referee tries to regain control of the match! Suddenly the bell rings and Vince McMahon announces that Mr. Fuji/Tiger Chung Lee are the victors by DQ because Johnson/Atlas had outside assistance! The crowd gasps in disbelief since clearly Savage was attacking Johnson/Atlas but yet again McMahon has screwed honest workers out of a victory. Rematch Demands! (B+ Rating) ~A video promo is shown with Captain Lou Albano and Superfly Jimmy Snuka complaining about how last night’s match against Backlund was unfair and that Snuka deserves a rematch. The pair continues to make various threats against Backlund and say that they will get the WWF Heavyweight Title one way or another! Pedro Morales vs Ray Stevens (A Rating) ~This match is the best of the night so far as both old pros put on a real show. Stevens carries much of the action before a late rally by Morales. Finally Stevens tosses Morales out of the ring right in front of the announce booth. Vince McMahon gets up from his announce position and restrains Morales from returning to the ring. He waves to the official, Earl Hebner, saying that Morales is too injured to continue and Hebner calls for the bell giving Stevens the win! Morales pushes McMahon in a fit of rage and attacks him with a steel chair! Total chaos breaks out as Stevens jumps out of the ring and attacks Morales from behind. Both men begin battling and the action carries out of range of the camera and into the backstage area! The brawl continues! (A Rating) ~The previous segment continues as the cameras pick up the action in the backstage area. Stevens has Morales pinned down until Pat Patterson and Bruno Sammartino rush Stevens and knock him to the ground. Macho Man Randy Savage is next to enter the picture as he attacks all of the old timers with a 2x4. Now as if there are not enough people involved, Rocky Johnson & Tony Atlas run into the room to attack Savage. The camera fades to commercial as all of the men are brawling wildly and nobody really seems to have the upper hand! Masked Superstar vs Bruno Sammartino (A Rating) ~When the show is rejoined already in progress, Bruno Sammartino has somehow freed himself from the earlier brawl and is in the ring about to face off against the Masked Superstar. Vince McMahon is not at the announce booth and has been replaced by The Grand Wizard who is almost as annoying as McMahon. This main event match is just as well worked as the previous match and has the crowd at a fever pitch. Things continue back and forth although Bruno seems a bit worn down from his earlier brawl and the Masked Superstar is looking very strong. Finally Masked Superstar gets the win and begins to celebrate wildly in the center of the ring as he taunts Sammartino. The Masked Superstar hasn’t been on the main show for awhile and seems to be overdoing it a bit. Sammartino appears to be feed up with Superstar and clubs him from behind. Pat Patterson & Pedro Morales come running out from the back and the trio puts a beating on the Masked Superstar. Just when you think the beating is over, Pedro says “I want the mask!” The crowd roars and the three men begin to unmask the struggling Superstar. Despite his best efforts, Superstar is unable to fight the trio off and is finally unmasked! The crowd cheers again as the three men taunt the humiliated Vince McMahon thug and continue to call out McMahon himself. Pedro throws the mask into the crowd who loves every minute of the action! Wrestlemania Announced (B+ Rating) ~After the ring is cleared and fans think the action is over, Vince McMahon Jr’s music kicks on and the owner of the WWF comes out to the ring. After briefly mocking the Masked Superstar for losing and saying that he has no connection to the Unmasked Superstar, Vince goes on to say that wrestling is about to change forever. He announces that the WWF is launching the greatest Pay-Per-View wrestling event in the history of the sport. It will be called Wrestlemania and will take place in March! Matches will be booked each show leading up to the event and it will be a 3+ hour extravaganza like the world has never seen! During the middle of McMahon’s skit, Lou Albano & Jimmy Snuka come out to the ring to complain about being jobbed in their match against Backlund. McMahon agrees that they were cheated and he makes a rematch for the WWF Heavyweight title between Snuka and Backlund. He says that this match will headline the newly announced Wrestlemania event in March! The crowd cheers the announcement when suddenly all power is cut to the ring and all lights go off in the arena. Then the big screen comes to life and the letters L O D appear on the screen. There is no music, there are no other words, and there are no people. Just utter silence and a scrambling Vince McMahon who is trying to regain order. WWF Challenge: Week 1, March 1983 Tuesday Night Titans The Ridgewood Groves Arena located in New York, NY Showing Live on TV Local – Tri State 4,438 people are in attendance --------------------------------------- Pre-Show: Total Perfection (Rick Rude/Lex Luger) vs Eddie Gilbert/Tony Garea (C- Rating) ~The training of the young tag team Total Perfection continues and it is a solid match. Jimmy Hart did good work as the Total Perfection manager. In the end Total Perfection got the victory as Lex Luger pinned Eddie Gilbert. After the match, the youngster continued to beat down Gilbert/Garea and drew a decent amount of heat in the process. Mr. Fuji vs American Bad Ass Mark Calloway vs Diamond Dallas Page (C- Rating) ~A solid training match with Mr. Fuji carrying most of the action. Fuji got the win by pinning DDP. Word around the locker room area is that Fuji is tired of working dark matches and being jobbed out. Fuji has also been late to a couple of shows and there could be trouble down the road if something doesn’t change. --------------------------------------- Main Show: Debut of Patty’s Playhouse! (C+ Rating) ~The show begins with the debut of Patty’s Playhouse. Pat Patterson is standing in the middle of a cheap looking “Mr. Roger’s” like set, dressed just like the actor from that very show. Patterson clearly is not happy about being there and that brings the segment down a bit. Finally Patterson announces his first guests and out walks Vince McMahon, Jr and Randy “Macho Man” Savage. After berating the crowd and Patterson for awhile, McMahon has this to say. McMahon: Now I would like to bring out an individual that is not a man, but only half of a man after his unmasking the other night at the hands of a couple of senior citizens. Please welcome the UNmasked Superstar…Bill Eadie! ~Out walks Bill Eadie in street clothes with his head down. He is clearly not feeling very pumped up about being on the show since he knows what is to come. McMahon: You know Bill, some people suggest that you are one of my goons…one of my enforcers…one of my people. But that isn’t true because none of my people would EVER be defeated by a couple of old timers who need walkers to get around…let alone be unmasked by them! And furthermore, since you no longer seem to have a gimmick…there really doesn’t seem to be any need for you in the WWF! ~The crowd boos as Vince McMahon continues to abuse his power and push around anyone that doesn’t fit into his master plan. Eadie gets up to exit the set when suddenly loud rock-n-roll music kicks on and 5 men coming running out from the back and attack EVERYONE on the set! The letters L O D flash on the screen as the fans scream and are not sure what is happening. When the dust settles we find Jake “The Snake” Roberts, The Spoiler, Road Warrior Hawk, Road Warrior Animal, and Paul Ellering standing over the prone bodies of their victims. Jake Roberts takes the lead talking to Vince McMahon who is being held up by Road Warrior Hawk. Roberts: Well well well…Mr. McMahon…you sure don’t look so high and mighty now. Let me introduce myself and my associates. We are the Legion of Doom and we are going to be your worst nightmare. You said some things about Georgia Championship Wrestling that should NOT have ever been said. You have done some things here in the WWF that should never have been done. Now it is time for you to pay the piper! ~The crowd cheers as the cameras zooms in on all of the LOD members. First you have Jake Roberts who is a tall man dressed in long black tights. While he has no special “gimmick”, he does have bad intentions written all over him and he appears to be the kind of man you would never want to meet in a dark alley. Next you see the Road Warriors, Hawk & Animal, who appear to have just stepped off the set of some post-nuclear war movie set like Mad Max where they played the roles of insane bikers. Then there is The Spoiler who is a large man dressed in regular wrestling gear and a mask. He sort of looks like Bill Eadie did…before he was unmasked! Finally you have Paul Ellering who is the manager of LOD. He is dressed in a similar way as the Road Warriors but is of course the smallest man of the group. While not as physically intimidating as the rest, he looks like the sort of person who would stab his own mother in the back if he could make a dollar by doing it. Jake Roberts continues talking… Roberts: Before I continue with Vinnie Mac, you fans need to know one thing…SHUT THE HELL UP! The Legion of Doom is not here to save your beloved WWF…we are here to DESTROY it! If you are not a part of LOD, then you are against LOD and you fans will never be a part of the Legion! ~The fans boo as they now seem a bit confused on whom, if anyone, they should be cheering for. The good guy/bad guy lines have become very fuzzy and little do the fans know that they are seeing the start of what will become known as Sports Entertainment for the next couple of decades. Vince McMahon appears visibility shaken and afraid. It is almost as though this is unscripted and he is unsure what will happen next. Has something gone terribly wrong or is Vinnie Mac just giving us an Oscar worthy performance? Roberts: I’m gonna make this short and sweet McMahon. I have heard you say that you can control any man, woman, or child alive because you can look into their eyes and see their souls which will tell you exactly what their motives are. But McMahon…what happens when you look into a man’s eyes and there is NO soul?!?! ~Roberts stares directly in the McMahon’s face, eyes unblinking, and with a look of utter evil on his face. With that, Roberts throws down the mic and the Legion of Doom give Patterson, Savage, Eadie, and McMahon one finally beating before finally exiting the stage area. The announcers are speechless and even the crowd seems unsure how to respond. Tiger Chung Lee vs Tito Santana (C+ Rating) ~The crowd is still very restless from the last segment and the announcers of Gorilla Monsoon, Lord Alfred Hayes, and Eric Bischoff have a difficult time talking about anything other than the LOD Invasion angle that just played. Santana finally defeats Tiger Chung Lee by pinfall in a sold but unimpressive match. Ax is born… (A Rating) ~The cameras show Bill Eadie walking backstage. He is battered and bruised from his earlier beating and looks like a man with nothing left to lose. He turns the corner of the hallway and you see a room ahead that contains the Legion of Doom. Bill enters the room…the door closes…the screams of a man in pain can be heard…then nothing but silence. Wrestlemania Match Hype (A Rating) ~Before the start of the next match, Gorilla Monsoon hypes the Main Event for Wrestlemania which is Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka vs Bob Backlund for the WWF Heavyweight Championship. A brief video replay of their last match is played to help hype up the event. Steiner Brothers vs George Steele/Randy Savage (B- Rating) ~What a match! There is plenty of great action in the ring as these two teams go back and forth. Savage looked very strong in the ring despite being attacked earlier and Rick Steiner was especially sharp for his team. The match is won by Savage/Steele as Savage hits Scott Steiner with a flying elbow drop from the top rope and then gets the pin. However, this victory is short lived as the Legion of Doom rushes the ring and attacks EVERYONE, including the referee, and cleans house. This time out there are six men with the LOD instead of five like before. The extra individual is dressed similar to the Road Warriors but it is not exactly clear who he is. The fact that the LOD seems to be growing does not look good for the rest of the WWF. As before, the LOD leave the ring after they clean house and no security personnel even attempt to interfere with their activities. Handicap Time! (B- Rating) ~After the match the cameras go backstage to find Tony Atlas/Rocky Johnson standing in Vince McMahon’s make shift office at the arena asking him for a match against Randy Savage. McMahon seems completely out of it and almost comatose. In a very un-Vince McMahon move he gives them the match and says that it will be a handicap 2 on1 match vs Randy Savage at Wrestlemania! The crowd cheers and both men seemed happy about the announcement but are surprises that McMahon gave him so easily. Clearly Vince much be distracted with other concerns… Pedro Morales vs Big John Studd (B Rating) ~A very interesting match of styles in this contest as you have the big lumbering giant of Big John Studd facing off against Pedro Morales who is a strong technical wrestler. However, both sides make it work as the action moves back and forth although Morales does seem to struggle a bit with the size of Studd. As the match continues, the crowd keeps looking toward the backstage area assuming that LOD will come running out at any moment. Finally, Studd catches Morales in a bear hug and begins to squeeze the very life out of Morales when sure enough, the Legion of Doom come running out of the back. They again clean house in the ring and Studd goes running toward the back. However, Morales is caught in the ring and continues to be beaten down by LOD. Then the newest member of LOD picks up the microphone and speaks to Morales who is being held down by the Road Warriors… Ax: Look me in the eyes boy! What’s wrong you don’t recognize me without my mask? Well that is your own fault and this is YOUR creation. You destroyed the Masked Superstar…you almost destroyed Bill Eadie the man…but now with the help of the Legion of Doom, AX has been born and your life is about to become a living hell! ~With that, Ax throws down the mic and puts a beating on Morales like most ringsiders have never seen. At the end of it all, the EMS workers come out to the stage and take Morales out on a stretcher to a waiting ambulance. That attack looked just a little too real and even the announcers seem slightly unsure how much damage was done. The fans are again left speechless and disoriented. The match is ruled a no contest. Vince McMahon finally speaks (B Rating) ~After the ring is cleared, Vince McMahon Junior comes down to the announce table where he grabs a headset condemns the attacks of the Legion of Doom and says that he is having all members of LOD arrested for trespassing and criminal assault. He goes on to say that no member of LOD or of Georgia Championship Wrestling is under contract with the WWF and that they are all criminals! The crowd boos just because it is Vinnie Mac although they still seem confused just what “side” LOD is on. Not so fast Vinnie Mac (B Rating) ~As the previous segment is about to wrap up, Vince McMahon Senior walks out to the ring. McMahon, Jr stares at the old man and appears genuinely surprised to see him. The crowd cheers the old man and seem excited to hear what he has to say. Senior explains to Junior that the LOD ARE under contract with the WWF because HE signed them! Junior jumps out of his seat and into the ring going wild. He can’t believe the old man pulled this off and says that Senior doesn’t have the authority. Senior says that while Junior does run the company, Senior still has the authority to sign whoever he wants and the LOD are here to stay come hell or high water! Junior is absolutely livid with the announcement and suddenly sucker punches his father, knocking him out cold in the middle of the ring! The crowd boos as Junior stares at the old man. The segment ends with the EMS workers again having to haul another person out of the ring and to a waiting ambulance. Things appear to be quickly getting out of control and Vinnie Mac looks to be losing his grip on the company. The Iron Sheik vs Bruno Sammartino (B+ Rating) ~A classic match between Sheik and Sammartino as the old timers do things old school and give the fans a real show in the ring. However, the action in the ring is not enough to distract the fans from everything that has happened and the energy just isn’t there. Everyone keeps looking to the backstage area thinking LOD will run out at any moment. Bruno finally pulls out the win at the 12 minute mark but a mild response from the fans. Bruno seems slightly confused why nobody is into the match when the match was so good but right now the out of ring storylines are overshadowing the in-ring work. Main Event Hype (A Rating) ~Gorilla Monsoon hypes the upcoming Main Event featuring Andre the Giant vs Don Muraco/Ray Stevens. Giant recently beat down Stevens as he searched for who placed a bounty on his head. The match is clearly an attempt by Vince McMahon to allow Stevens to get a little revenge allow it still remains to be seen if just two men are enough to stop a Giant! Andre The Giant vs Ray Stevens/DonMuraco (A* Rating) ~Stevens and Muraco attempt to jump Andre early to get an edge but the Giant is much too powerful for that. The match swings back and forth with Stevens and Muraco often in the ring at the same time in attacking Andre. The crowd really responds to this match and seems to maybe have put the LOD storyline behind them for the moment. Just as the match is wrapping up in what appears to be an Andre the Giant victory, Superstar Billy Graham runs out from the back carrying a 2x4 and jumps into the ring attacking Andre. The ref quickly calls for the bell giving Andre the win by DQ. The three men attack Andre but Andre is able to overcome all THREE men at once and throw them from the ring! The crowd cheers as Andre appears to be an unstoppable force…however the cheering dies down as an immovable object appears from the backstage area…Legion of Doom…there is a brief stare down between Andre and LOD before the stable rushes the ring attacking Andre. Andre fights like a man possessed but the now six members of LOD are too much and Andre is forced from the ring! Andre backs slowly up the ramp toward the back with LOD still in the ring taunting him. The crowd cheers Andre, who although unable to overcome LOD in the ring, at least was able to put up a fight and escape somewhat uninjured. The storyline only appears to have begun… --------------------------------------- WWF In Your Neighborhood Preview: *Eddie Gilbert/Tony Garea vs The Road Warriors *Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs Tito Santana *Ax/The Spoiler vs Bruno Sammartino/Pedro Morales (if Pedro's injury allows it) *The Wild Samoans vs The Strongbows (in a non-title matchup) *More fallout from the LOD's invasion of the WWF *One more Wrestlemania Match announced --------------------------------------- Show Final Rating: A --------------------------------------- Writer's note: Sorry for so much "reading" and not as much in-ring action but I need to set up the whole LOD storyline and introduce workers so the later matches make sense! Just got caught up with this, man. I'm a Road Warriors fan from way back and I can just picture the beatdowns that they're inflicting (even with the additional members, which is being done fabulously by the way). I look forward to more mayhem from the L.O.D!

I enjoy the reading, It helps paint a visual picture in my head! As for upcoming card my predictions are: Road Warriors will destroy garea & Gilbert Jake will beat Tito Santana ~thus elevating these guys and building the LOD takeover storyline Bruno & Pedro will beat Ax/Spoiler I'm gonna guess soemthing maybe with Pat Pattereson filling in for Pedro, either way i see storyline advancing here and getting more involved in it Strongbows over Samoans since it is non-title

Lewis Gym located in Atlanta, Georgia Live House Show 356 people are in attendance --------------------------------------- Pre-Show: Total Perfection (Rick Rude/Lex Luger) vs ABA Mark Calloway/Tony Garea (C- Rating) ~The development of Total Perfection continues only this time Mark Calloway is thrown into the mix. The match is solid but certainly not impressive. Total Perfection carries a bit more of the load than they have in their past matches but ultimately are defeated when Mark Calloway pins Rick Rude for the victory. Tiger Chung Lee vs Mr. Fuji (C Rating) ~In a rare “non-training” match these two veterans battle it out in a Steel Cage Escape match. The action is solid but both men are not at their best and appear slightly worn out. Mr. Fuji finally pulls out the win as escapes from the cage at the 8:45 mark of the match. --------------------------------------- Main Show: Backstage Beat Down (C- Rating) ~The show opens with Jake “The Snake” Roberts walking down the back hall on his way to the ring for his opening match against Tito Santana when Santana suddenly jumps out and ambushes The Snake! This is very out of character for Tito but everyone is acting a bit crazy around the WWF now that LOD is here. The two men battle back and forth until security separates them with no worker really getting an upper hand. Jake warns Santana that he will pay in spades for ambushing him tonight! Senior is running the show tonight! (B Rating) ~Vince McMahon Senior walks out to the ring and announces that he is running the show tonight and that his son is back at headquarters dealing with some “legal” issues. Senior goes on to announce that the crowd will see all of the LOD members in action tonight and he also announces that the Andre The Giant vs Superstar Billy Graham “No Holds Barred” match has been made for Wrestlemania later this month! The crowd cheers both of the announcements and the elder McMahon exits the building to mild applause. Eddie Gilbert/Tony Garea vs The Road Warriors (C- Rating) ~In true Road Warrior style this match is over before it begins as the Road Warriors man handle the over matched team of Garea/Gilbert. The Warriors display no selling because they don’t need too…crushing move after crushing move is performed on their victims until they hit Tony Garea with the Doomsday Device and get the win. The Road Warriors continue to beat down their victims after the match under the watchful eye of their manager Paul Ellering. The crowd really got behind the Warriors in this match as the Southern crowd was pleased to see their boys kicking around the WWF workers. Main Event Hype (C Rating) ~A brief video clip is shown to hype the evening’s Main Event between the Wild Samoans and the Strongbows. It is a tag team match up and is a non-title bout. The crowd doesn’t seem overly excited about the match. Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs Tito Santana (C+ Rating) ~This match picks up where the earlier backstage attack left off with both men working back and forth with excellent technical skills. Roberts seems to control most of the action and Santana is really in a 2 on 1 match as Jake’s manager Paul Ellering continually attempts to distract or attack Tito whenever the opportunity presents itself. Roberts finally puts Santana away at the 10 minute mark when he hits him with his famed DDT. Its lights out for Santana and another win for Roberts. Of course in true LOD style, Roberts continues to beat the helpless Santana after the match is over and then works the crowd before he leaves the ring. The announcers mention that there are a ton of LOD signs in the audience and people seemed to be cheering Roberts on as he attacked the baby face Santana. Things appear to work a little differently down here in Georgia than they do back in New York City. Pedro is out of action! (C+ Rating) ~Pedro Morales appears via videotape on the big screen and talks about the attack on him at the last show. Pedro has apparently suffered some very serious injuries and will be out of action for a couple of weeks…he might even miss Wrestlemania! The ex-IC champ was scheduled to work tonight but again will not be here so he announces that Pat Patterson will be taking his place in the ring. Patterson, Sammartino, and Morales have formed a loose alliance over the past few weeks so it is no surprise to the audience that Patterson will be taking Pedro’s place. Pedro closes his skit warning LOD that payment is coming and they better keep their eyes open because he will strike at them when they least expect it! Bruno Sammartino/Pat Patterson vs Ax/The Spoiler (B Rating) ~This ends up being a very solid match with both sides working with some real aggression. Patterson ends up getting the pin on Ax for the win after The Spoiler tried to knock Patterson out with a set of brass knuckles but missed and nailed his own partner! Sammartino then jumped in and knocked The Spoiler to the outside of the ring as Patterson covered the unconscious Ax for the easy win. The crowd boos as the ex-GCW boys are defeated and Bruno seems a bit unsure how to handle the reaction since he clearly planned on a big celebration after the win which he wisely decides to put on hold. Patterson and Sammartino quickly exit the ring before any members of LOD can come out from the back and attack them. More hype but still no reaction (C Rating) ~Another video is played on the big screen to hype the main event between the Strongbows and the Wild Samoans but the audience still doesn’t seem overly excited about the match. The Strongbows vs The Wild Samoans (C+ Rating) ~As expected this match only gets a mild response from the crowd considering it is the Main Event of the evening. The guys in the ring put on an excellent show but the people just don’t seem to be getting behind the story that is being told. Captain Lou Albano and Miss Elizabeth both gave solid performances at ringside but still still the audience was only mildly interested…UNTIL…the Road Warriors came running out from the back and the crowd went nuts! The Warriors jumped into the ring and began attacking both sides while the referee immediately called for the bell and declared the match a no contest. However, things just get crazier from there as the rest of LOD: Jake Roberts, Ax, and the Spoiler come running out from the back to help the Road Warriors. It doesn’t take long and LOD has cleared the ring. Jake Roberts takes the microphone and has a few words for the people: Roberts: You know in the short time that the LOD has been in the WWF, we have caused more chaos and destruction than this federation has seen in a long time. And tonight I hoped we would talk to Mr. McMahon but it seems he is “busy” and couldn’t make the trip down here to Georgia. Now you do have to wonder if ole Vinnie Mac just has a problem with us Southern folk or maybe he really is just a busy man. You know McMahon you say that the LOD aren’t welcome in the WWF and that we don’t belong here and that you are going to run us out of town. Some people would say that I should be mad about that but I’m not. Actually I want to HELP you Vince…I want to reintroduce your brain to your mouth, cause you've been talkin' out your a$s! And that can happen next week or that can happen at Wrestlemania…it really doesn’t matter to me but I guarantee you one thing…it IS going to happen! ~With that Roberts throws the microphone out of the ring and LOD’s music kicks in as the stable heads to the back. Clearly a message has been sent to McMahon, Jr tonight and that message is that the Legion of Doom is not going anywhere and if McMahon doesn’t do something soon, the WWF as he knows it will never be the same again! --------------------------------------- WWF Challenge Preview: *Mr. Fuji/Tiger Chung Lee vs The Road Warriors *Jake Roberts vs George "The Animal" Steele *Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka vs Bruno Sammartino *IC Champ Don Muraco vs Randy Savage *WWF Heavyweight Champ Bob Backlund scheduled to appear *WWF Owner Vince McMahon to respond to the LOD's most recent comments --------------------------------------- Show Final Rating: C+

Breaking News! BREAKING NEWS: MAJOR DEFECTIONS HAVE ROCKED GEORGIA CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING (GCW) TO ITS CORE! After having its TV show dropped back in February by TBS, Georgia Championship Wrestling took another major hit today as three of its biggest stars (all members of their top stable The Legion of Doom) left the company. The Spoiler, Paul Ellering, and Road Warrior Hawk have all failed to extend their contracts and left GCW. Also all three men are currently working with the rival WWF and rumor is that their involvement with the WWF is the major reason that they failed to resign with GCW. Losing this three men effectively ends most of the current storylines in GCW and destroys their top heel stable as well as their top tag team combination. While GCW is scrambling to replace these workers, there are rumors going around that the remaining LOD members will also jump ship to work full time in the WWF. While most wrestling insiders blasted Vince McMahon for starting a war with GCW, that move is now looking to have been a good one as a once proud promotion is on the rocks. Stay tuned for more information.
Seemingly never able to get enough TV time, Vince McMahon appears on the big screen after the previous match to announce that a new “talk show” will debut next week. The show is called Patty’s Playhouse and will be hosted by Pat Patterson!
Oh, wow! :D To the hells with the PC Police, that is hilarious. I really marked out for the signing of Don Jardine. As a young fan, The Spoiler was the first villain I cheered for. In my own 'Favorite Wrestlers Ever' opinion, he and Nick Bockwinkel always flip-flop the top spot. The mask had a lot to do with it, but the entire character sealed it; he was big, agile - the rope walking was as incredible to me then, as it became later for the Undertaker fans, he gave very intelligent promos, and had the dreaded claw-hold. His pairing with Bill Eadie (as Ax) should be wicked cool. Speaking of, I'm really enjoying the excellent write-ups. The transformation of Bill Eadie into Ax was very well done, as are the LOD v. McMahon, Vince v. Georgia Championship and McMahon Sr. v. McMahon Jr. subplots. I especially like how you are incorporating your expansion through the Georgia war. The move into the South East was totally unexpected, despite the increasing tension between the two promotions. While you have solidified your standing in your home base territory of the Tri State area, I would have thought that the New England or Great Lakes region would have been the logical next targets. Still, the wisdom of going directly after GCW in their own market is a wise one. You've got the entire LOD stable to lead the way. Their popularity in that area will greatly help in getting the fans on your side. Great diary, Doc.
