JACK DECOLT storms down to the ring, pacing back and forth.

JACK DECOLT

Poison!!! POISOOOOOOOOOOOON!!! Get out here so I can punch

you in the face!!!

Strange Chimes sounds. Some of the lights in the arena flicker and die. SOOTHSAYER and POISON are here.

SOOTHSAYER

One by one the relics of the past fall. Washed away by the sands of

time. Alex DeColt has already felt the wrath of Poison. He’s seen the

future first hand and now hides away in his home, desperately clutching

the CGC World Title while he still can. He knows the future has no place

for him, just like it has no place for you, Jack. It’s only a matter of time

before Poison does to you what he did to your brother.

JACK DECOLT

Just who the hell are you?

SOOTHSAYER

I am someone you’ve never faced before, Jack. A servant of the future.

A future without the relics of the past. Without DeColt Rule. No matter

how hard you fight. No matter how much you struggle. What I see

will come to be. At ‘In The Company Of Legends’, Jack DeColt,

you will join your brother and be washed away by the sands of time.

Enjoy your final days. For in three weeks, Poison will be your end.

Davis Ditterich “These two are looking to get their first points in the Ultimate Showdown Series. With their jobs on the line no one wants to end up in last place.”

Stevie peppers him with hit & run tactics, until Pow Wow accidentally squirts him with water from a flower and takes control. Pow Wow bends the rules as much as he can, until Stevie dodges, ducks, dips, dives and dodges! He goes for the Tornado DDT, but is thrown off. Star Treatment (Super Kick) 1... 2... 3! JENNY PLAYMATE interviews RICKY DECOLT.

JENNY PLAYMATE

Ricky DeColt. You’ve got a hugely important match tonight in the Ultimate

Showdown Series, but do you think you’ll be able to keep your focus after

what happened to Alex last week?

RICKY DECOLT

What happened to Alex was a major blow, but DeColts are tough. Alex

will bounce back, and until then I have every confidence that Jack is

going to get some DeColt Justice by taking down Joey Poison. Can

I keep my focus? Damn right I can. I said 2013 was going to be the

year of Ricky DeColt, and it’s time I made that happen by winning the-

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/BobbyThomas_S_zps30060627.jpg

Wearing the most business-y business suit ever to do business, BOBBY THOMAS interrupts.

BOBBY THOMAS

I’ll cut to the chase. I know your mind is elsewhere tonight, and we’ve

both got long roads ahead of us in this Series. So I’m prepared to let

you make me an offer. You pay me, and I’ll let you pick up a draw against

me tonight. You get the night off. You get an easy point. I make myself

a profit. Do we have a deal?

RICKY DECOLT

Are you kidding? No dice, Bobby. I don’t need to pay you to get points from you.

Ricky DeColt leaves laughing. Bobby Thomas glares at him, straightening his tie.

ULTIMATE SHOWDOWN SERIES

1pt - NATE JOHNSON VS JOHN McCLEAN - 2pts

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/NateJohnson_zpsf0e0bed7.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/VS2_zpsf88031f9.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/SqueekyMcClean_zps2c914017.jpg

Davis Ditterich “Back in 2000, their time in CGC only overlapped by a few months, but apparently that was enough to create some bad blood between these two. McClean is back for ‘satisfation’, and to win the Ultimate Showdown Series.”

McClean deftly attacks with cravates and neckbreakers, until he’s cut off by a dragon screw. Showing off for the cameras and smiling an insincere smile, Johnson targets the knee and ankle with takedowns and painful holds. Rallying the support of the crowd, McClean smoothly counters the ground game to roll him, turn him, and even ride him like a horsey. He goes for Stain Removal (Pancake Facebuster) but Johnson turns it into a roll up. Handful of tights! 1... 2... 3!

EARNING 2 POINTS VIA PINFALL

NATE JOHNSON (8:34)

Nate jumps for joy as McClean tries to calmly explain what happened to the referee.

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Banner_zpsac259299.jpg

Jenny Playmate “Looks like John McClean didn’t get the satisfaction he was looking for thanks to some good old fashioned cheating. Sorry folks, the referee’s decision is final. Who else added to their tally this week? Let’s find out.”

http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/SWhippy_zps8a28f1bd.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/VS2S_zps2960baea.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/SZeus_zps831c0881.jpg

ZEUS MAXMILLION summons up Godlike strength to counter a HuraClownRana into the Thunder Bolt (Sit Out Bomb) 1... 2... 3! (Zeus Maxmillion earns 2 points)

ZEUS MAXMILLION

I know not the meaning of his warpaint, but the puny mortal Whippy

put up a far from puny fight.

SEAN DEELEY goes for a german suplex, but TRENT SHAFFER manages to rip away the turnbuckle pad. As Referee Jonathan Taylor turns his back to fix it- Low Blow! Handful of Glitter! Roll up! 1... 2... 3! (Trent Shaffer earns 2 points)

TRENT SHAFFER

The CGC World Title is meant to be with me, and I’ll do everything in

my power to be with her.

‘The Man Without Fear’

RICKY DECOLT

Davis Ditterich “Last time these two met was at ‘Luck of the Draw’, Ricky DeColt picked up the victory. Will history repeat itself tonight?”

Catherine Quine “Or will the Series’ emphasis on submissions give Thomas the advantage?”

Ricky takes control with a awesome combination of power and speed, until ‘Just Business’ gets lucky with a High Knee to the shoulder. Thomas repeatedly goes for the arm in methodical, business-like fashion, using his knees to their full advantage. Arm compromised, Ricky uses his legs to fight back with high-intensity, high-risk offense. Leg kicks. Epic dropkick. High Fly Elbow. He goes for DeColt 45, but Bobby twists free and hits Specialist Touch (Single Arm DDT). 1... 2... Kick out. Bobby immediately transitions into a Gekko Lock (Scissored Keylock).

“One Minute Remaining!”

Unable to crawl to the ropes, with time ticking away, Ricky takes a risk. He rolls Bobby up, brutally twisting his own arm in the process, screaming in pain. 1... 2... 3!

EARNING 2 POINTS VIA PINFALL

RICKY DECOLT (9:17)

Bobby is in disbelief as Ricky checks on his arm. It doesn’t seem so bad. Look like everything’s turned out alright-

JACK DECOLT to the rescue! He storms the ring, charges Poison, and starts to Punch! Him! In! The! Face! Unfazed, unfeeling, unblinking, Poison takes Jack apart with deadly right hands of his own and hurls him from the ring.

Jack looks on in horror as Poison stares at him with cold, dead eyes.

Alex DeColt is sitting at home, and his absence is really felt in the locker room. My backstage rating is down a whopping 9%, bringing it to a questionable 70%. I’d ‘fixed’ the backstage harmony a while back, but a combination of bad hires (a certain Wildboy) unpopular booking decisions (both of The Specialists hated last week’s draw) and vacations (What will Eddie Chandler’s protege do without him?) have brought it further and further down. So in that respect I look forward to the 9 vacationing roster members returning, but it has made some room on the Saturday house shows for younger talent to develop.

Sean Deeley vs Stevie Grayson Grayson and Whippy seem to be the 2 least likely candidates to win......which also means one of them is likely to get fired! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> With Whippy getting over without you pushing him, I see Grayson as the most likely loser as of now.

Trent Shaffer vs Whippy The Clown See above

John McClean vs Ricky DeColt I see Ricky getting screwed out of a win by the Soothsayer, who seems to be gunning for the DeColts. But either way, a draw is most likely.

John McClean “They say cheaters never prosper, but Mr. Shaffer has been cheating like a maniac so far in the series, and has been nothing but successful.”

Whippy plays him for a fool with tumbling and simple mime tricks, until Trent practically caves in his chest with a dropkick. The Sparkling Vampire works over the sternum and ribs with sharp elbow strikes, until Whippy hastily mimes a wall. Trent pauses for only a moment. Clownziguri. HuriClownRana. Clownsault. Reeling, Trent Shaffer unties a turnbuckle pad, forcing Referee Jonathan Taylor to turn his back on the action to fix it. Handful of Glitter! Low Blow! Vampiric Embrace (Sleeper) Whippy passes out.

TRENT SHAFFER (7:56)

TRENT SHAFFER

Look at me. What do you see? A cheater? Perhaps, but that's just my

nature. You can't blame a scorpion when he stings. You can't blame a

monster when he does whatever it takes to win the Ultimate Showdown

Series and be with his one true love; the CGC World Title. I-

WHO RULE?

DECOLTS RULE!

RICKY DECOLT

Well, you admit you're a cheater, that's something I guess. Ladies and

gentlemen, just in case the guy with the glitter has you confused, this

isn't Twilightville. This is Quebec Stade Uniprix. THIS IS DECOLT

COUNTRY! And in DeColt Country monsters always get what’s coming

to them. Jack’s going to give Poison a taste of his own medicine at

‘In The Company Of Legends’, and next week, Trent, it’s going to be

you and me in the Ultimate Showdown Series. I guarantee- No, I

ADRIAN GARCIA

Yes, Ricky. You're undefeated. You haven't picked up any losses... but

you haven't picked up any submissions either. In the Ultimate Showdown

Series submissions are the name of the game, and when you're talking

about submissions, you're talking about Shooter Sean Deeley.

RICKY DECOLT

Um... he doesn’t have any submission wins either.

NATE JOHNSON

Oh yeah? Sorry to disappoint, Zeus, but tonight ‘100% All Natural’ is

going to 100% end your hot streak, just like I did to John McClean. You

think your quest is special because you think you’re magic? Well I’m

on a quest too. I’m going to make everyone see that I’m the most

Deeley stalks his prey, pouncing repeatedly for the left arm and twisting it at unholy angles, mercilessly attacking every single joint. Grayson fights back, peppering him with hit and run tactics, but Deeley counters the Tornado DDT with a Northern Lights Suplex into the corner. Forgoing the pin, he locks in a Seated Arm Stretch. JACK DECOLT

What Soothsayer has done to Joey Poison is nothing short of terrifying,

but the Wild Man can be pretty terrifying too, and never more so than

when someone messes with his family. He took out Alex. He tried to take

out Ricky. He’s coming for me. But what Poison and his hooded friend

need to learn is that the DeColts aren’t relics of the past. We’re the

present. Right here. Right now. Punching you in the face.

I can beat Joey Poison. I may not be Alex, but I know a weakness when

and over and over and over and that’s a DeColt Guarantee!

ZEUS MAXMILLION

John McClean “I’m afraid the differences Nate and I had in the past have once again popped up in the present. He cheated to beat me last week, so I sincerely hope Zeus Maxmillion does some damage here.”

Nate Johnson is clearly distracted by McClean’s presence at ringside, allowing Zeus to summon Godike strength to overpower him, launching Nate with backdrops and hip-tosses. Johnson answers with leg kicks and a violent dragon screw in the ropes. Showing off for the cameras and smiling an insincere smile, he dominates until the Bronzed God hits a desperation Twisting Spinebuster. Movement severely limited, Zeus is still able to knock his opponent around with herculean left hands until Nate locks on a Rolling Half Crab. Zeus grimaces, determined not to give his opponent the satisfaction of a scream as he gets to the ropes. Johnson’s back on him immediately. Knee Bar! This time Zeus screams... well... more of a guttural roar as he drags himself to the ropes.

“One minute remaining”

John McClean “Clearly Johnson hasn’t mastered leg submissions. This is taking more time than he can afford.”

Frustration mounting, glaring at McClean on commentary, Johnson goes for Natural Order (Leg Lariat) but Zeus summons Godlike strength to catch him in midair and drop him with the Thunder Bolt. He locks in the Olympian Clutch (Camel Clutch). Johnson taps!

ZEUS MAXMILLION (9:24)

Davis Ditterich “What a week to be a submission expert! Thomas! Shaffer! Deeley! Now Zeus all picking up 3 massively important points.”

A furious Nate Johnson yells at the referee, claiming he didn’t tap. He notices John McClean shaking his head in disappointment, and jumps him! Johnson and McClean brawl as security rush in to separate them.

Jack may have saved this show from slightly lowering CGC's popularity. I Love the field for the Ultimate Showdown Series, but they're a "C" level bunch, ain't they?

Adding to my backstage troubles, Eric Tyler just got signed away to SWF. I’m not sure how he ended up on a PPA deal, but he did, so I signed him up to a similarly non-exclusive deal sometime during the build to WrestleFestival. As a Road Agent, I won’t miss him too much. Chance is solid, and I have several guys with awesome psychology on the roster for the special matches, but as a backstage presence it’s a bit of a bummer to lose him. His friendship with Sean Deeley was a boost, and every little helps. Given how quickly I’m annoying some of the Ultimate Showdown Series participants.

Prediction table to come later. I’m rather busy this morning.

Just one more episode until “In The Company of Legends” and surprise, surprise, it’s more Ultimate Showdown Series action.

Bobby Thomas vs John McClean

Nate Johnson vs Whippy The Clown

Pow Wow The Clown vs Sean Deeley

Trent Shaffer vs Ricky DeColt

Stevie Grayson vs Zeus Maxmillion

Also, quick question. What do you think of how I’m covering some of these matches in ‘highlight’ form? With just the finishes. Is it enough information, or do you find yourself a little disappointed when certain matches don’t get a full write-up?

Opening matches can just be summed up real quick, no need to stress yourself out.

- Yup, just fine the way it is. Well, I was a bit bummed Ricky vs McClean didn't get full coverage, but in theory, it makes sense to only focus on select matches and write quick highlights for the other ones.

I think the write ups you are doing are fine, I actually prefer shorter write ups than longer ones. When I did my CGC dynasty back in TEW 2010 I only wrote out the angles and just copy and pasted the results from the game into a post when writing results. It's ultimately up to you and how you want to do it but I enjoy it how it is right now because sometimes I don't necessarily have time to read longer match write ups so I tend to skip them and just read the finishes.
