New countdown to the WrestleFestival. That’s right, folks, we’re just 12 weeks away from the most exciting event of the year; George DeColt’s annual bonanza at Bearberry Field. Rides. Games. Music. Wrestling action. It’s fun for the whole family, and everyone's invited.” Adrian Garcia “I can’t wait. I’ve never seen eye-to-eye with George DeColt, but the man sure knows how to throw a party.” Davis Ditterich “As exciting as it is, the WrestleFestival is still a ways off, and we’ve got plenty to look forward to in the mean time. RICKY DECOLT Ladies and gentlemen... Welcome to King Edward Multiplex. Welcome to Canadian Golden Combat. Welcome to DECOLT COUNTRY! ALEX DECOLT Two weeks time. ‘CGC Elimination’. For the past few years, The DeColts and The Elite have made the annual 3-on-3 matches our personal playground of violent destruction. This year will be no different. 3 members of The Elite have issued the challenge, and The DeColt Family are happy to accept. Make no mistake, Adrian Garcia has assembled one hell of a team. One of the best we’ve have ever seen... but when you’re dealing with The DeColts, you’re dealing with THE best. JACK DECOLT Individually we’re phenomenal, together we’re unstoppable, and there’s not a force on this earth that can tear us apart. Whatever The Elite do to us at ‘Elimination’, we’re gonna pay it back tenfold. This won’t be a technical masterclass, this is going to be a war, and that’s a DeColt Guarantee! RICKY DECOLT Tonight we make a statement! Tonight we give The Elite a taste of what they’re in for! Tonight, in DECOLT COUNTRY, we let them know... WHO RULE??? DECOLTS RULE! http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Banner_zpsac259299.jpg BRETT FRASER VS RICKY DECOLT http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/BrettFraser_zpsc0981921.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/VS2_zpsf88031f9.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/RickyDeColt_zpsc6d2167d.jpg Davis Ditterich “Time was, a man like Brett Fraser would have dwarfed Ricky DeColt, but the Man Without Fear bulked up while he was on the shelf with a foot injury. Quite the physical presence.” Fraser is taken by surprise by his inability to overpower the youngest DeColt, who responds with a flurry of high intensity offense, even body slamming the larger man. Brett throws some desperate heavy hands, doing some damage until Ricky takes a risk, launching himself full force at Fraser with a dropkick in the corner... ... It pays off! Fraser is practically decapitated! Running Bulldog! High Fly Elbow! DeColt 45 (Roll Inverted DDT) Ricky gets the pin. YOUR WINNER... RICKY DECOLT (5:49) Davis Ditterich “He may not look like a young, skinny, high flyer any more, but Ricky DeColt is still a risk taker at heart” Adrian Garcia “The gamble worked tonight, but at ‘CGC Elimination’ it could be another story.” http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Banner_zpsac259299.jpg RYAN POWELL VS JACK DECOLT /w Hotstuff Marie http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Bumper_zps6b106515.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/RyanPowell_zps92cf02e8.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/VS2_zpsf88031f9.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/JackDeColt_zpsce8dac5f.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/HotstuffMarie_S_zps1ff6afda.jpg Davis Ditterich “Jack DeColt has had a tumultuous few years, but since marrying his sweetheart Marie at the 2011 Wrestlefestival, the ‘Wild Man’ seems to have calmed down a bit.” Jack takes it to ground early and controls Powell with simple and effective mat wrestling. Ryan scores a cheap shot and presses the advantage, bending the rules as much as possible. Jack’s anger builds and builds until he explodes! Jack goes berserk, firing off right hands with reckless abandon. Shoulder Tackles. Wild Ride (Reverse Death Valley Driver) End of Days (Bow & Arrow Dragon Sleeper). Screaming in pain, Ryan Powell quickly taps. YOUR WINNER... JACK DECOLT (5:52) Enraged, Jack refuses to break the hold, until Hotstuff Marie hurries into the ring to calm him down. Jack’s fury quickly abates. He releases the hold, and celebrates with his wife. Davis Ditterich “Maybe I spoke too soon about the ‘Wild Man’ calming down.” Adrian Garcia “Jack’s anger is one of his greatest weapons, but also his greatest weakness.” http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Banner_zpsac259299.jpg GOLDEN PROFILE 01 “The Thinking Man’s DeColt” ALEX DECOLT Age… 38 Height… 6’4 Weight… 270lbs DeColt Country, Vancouver, British Columbia http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/AlexDeColt_zpsb86889da.jpg Title History: 5x CGC World Champion. 2x CGC Tag Team Champion Strengths: Intelligence, Expert Striking, Specialty Moves: DeColt Driver (Straightjacket Drop) Tower Collapse Superplex Combat Connections: Alex DeColt, Ricky DeColt (Brothers) Dan DaLay (Nemesis) From the day the promotion opened in 1990, Canadian Golden Combat has been DeColt Country, George DeColt and his four sons running roughshod over the territory to the delight of their army of fans. A beloved wrestling institution and role models for children all across Canada, the colorful and charismatic DeColts have stuck together through thick and thin, despite their wildly different personalities and methods. While Steve relies on pure strength, Jack upon his unceasing fury and young Ricky taking to the skies, Alex used his intellect to outwit his foes. “Every wrestler in the world is a puzzle, just waiting to be solved.” Strange as it sounds now, Alex never thought he was going to be a wrestler. A shy and gangly child, he believed himself too different from the example set by his father, the brash, muscular powerhouse George DeColt. So instead he threw himself into the world of books, developing an insatiable appetite for knowledge. Dragged against his will to the DeColt Power House on his 16th birthday, Alex was surprised to find that not only did he possess his family’s natural abilities in the ring, but that his intellect gave him many advantages, first against the other trainees at the DeColt Power house, and then against the competitors of Canadian Golden Combat. “I’ve fought thousands of men over the years. Men bigger than me, stronger than me, faster... but everyone has a weakness. It’s just a case of staying in the fight long enough to learn what it is.” While no one can say with any degree of certainty which DeColt is the best fighter, no one questions that Alex is the smartest. A shrewd businessman and keen strategist, who has also authored a series of mystery novels described as “too clever” by several critics, his brothers regularly seek his counsel on matters both inside and outside the ring. “DeColts quarrel. DeColts compete, but ultimately, DeColts stick together. When one of us faces a challenge they can’t overcome, the others are happy to lend a hand” At the top of his game, both mentally and physically, Alex DeColt kicked off 2012 with a bang, defeating his long-time nemesis Dan DaLay to recapture the CGC World Title. With the belt around his waist and the most powerful family in wrestling at his side, The Thinking Man’s DeColt seems nigh-on unstoppable. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Banner_zpsac259299.jpg IN-RING http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/TrentShaffer_S_zps6a64c2b4.jpg TRENT SHAFFER saunters to the ring, microphone in hand. His skin sparkles like diamonds in the light. TRENT SHAFFER Look at me. What do you see? Beauty? Don’t believe the lies. Don’t believe this camouflage. I’m a killer. I’m the world’s most dangerous predator. My voice, my face, even my smell. Everything about me is designed to draw you in. To make you want me. That’s when I strike. Alex DeColt. One year ago, you beat Dan DaLay for the title on the first show of the year. Tonight, I’m going to do the same thing. Kiss your title goodbye. She’s coming home with the Sparkling Vampire. Weighing in at 270lbs. Hailing from DeColt Country, Vancouver, British Columbia. He is the current, reigning and defending CGC World Heavyweight Champion. “The Thinking Man’s DeColt” ALEX DECOLT Davis Ditterich “One of the most intelligent fighters to ever step into the ring, Alex DeColt is a force to be reckoned with.” Adrian Garcia “With an unorthodox style that made him undefeated during 2012, Trent Shaffer may prove to be a puzzle even Alex DeColt can’t solve.” The two fighters circle each other cautiously. Alex attacks with precision punches, but Trent is fast. Scary fast, avoiding the blows and lashing out with strikes of his own. Alex tries to overpower him, hoisting him up onto his shoulder, but Trent slips away and rams him into the turnbuckle. Trent ruthlessly presses the advantage, as Alex tries to get enough distance to rethink his strategy. Trent locks in the Vampiric Embrace (Modified Sleeper) Alex is fading fast! He tries to break Trent’s grip, but can’t. He charges into the turnbuckles, but Trent won’t shake loose. Finally, just as the lights begin to fade, Alex rolls backwards, pinning Trent beneath him. 1... 2... Trent is forced to release the hold to kick out. As Alex gasps for air, Trent rolls to the apron, and with a scream of “BELLLLAAAAAA!” springboards in, and... Throat Thrust! Alex timed it perfectly. Shaken, Trent Shaffer rushes to attack, but Alex intelligently blocks, dodges and parries the blows, and unleashes pinpoint counter-punches, targeting pressure points for maximum stopping power. Powerslam! Tower Collapse Superplex! Alex straight up overpowers his weakened foe, and hits the DeColt Driver (Straightjacket Drop) for the win. YOUR WINNER AND STILL CGC WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION ALEX DECOLT (18:14) Davis Ditterich “A DeColt clean sweep! Alex DeColt ends Trent Shaffer’s win streak and keeps the CGC World title around his waist! Is there a force alive capable of stopping The DeColts?” Adrian Garcia “Just you wait, Davis. Next week I’ll unveil the Elite team that will destroy the DeColt Family at CGC Elimination”

Dragonmack
I suspect, D-Mack, that you and I were talking about two different things. Yeah, it seems everyone else was referring to his twilight gimmick. I thought you were referring to him being able to pull a B promo and a B- match with Alex. Because while the first one is weird ( I usually play him as a prima donna type, but I can see that being similiar to an arrogant vampire) his skills are something i have seen from my games, so his results weren't a surprise to me. Him and Eddie Chandler are easily the two biggest assets CGC has not named DeColt. Maybe I'm just too much of a workrate guy, but I've always preferred Deeley to Shaffer. Yeah, Shaffer has a little more star quality and mic skills, but Deeley is just better in the ring -- and he comes pre-built with Garcia to talk for him, and an alliance with Chandler, your other top heel. Not saying Shaffer is worthless or anything, but Deeley's a cut above in my opinion. Then again, I'm also not very good at the game.
Rayelek
And this is surprising...how? I would expect maybe an 80% DeColt show. There was no mention of the midcard titles (Tag & Canadian) and none of the champs were involved in the DeColt stuff, and thus the show. I'm sure that won't be the case every show, but for a lead-out show, I would've guessed I'd see more of the characters.

I'm sure that won't be the case every show, but for a lead-out show, I would've guessed I'd see more of the characters. Given that the default show is only an hour long, there really isn't time to feature the other stuff on TV. Not to mention, those things will tend to drag your tv show ratings and grade down. One thing I have done in my CGC games is lengthen the tv show to 90 minutes. That will usually go through with no problem. That allows you time to add something besides DeColt to the show while still loading up on DeColt time to keep the grade up.

I'm sure that won't be the case every show, but for a lead-out show, I would've guessed I'd see more of the characters. In a way, the fact that it was the first show is why it made sense to me. There's time to introduce the secondary players later -- right now, it's time for the DeColts, plus one more guy (in this case, Shaffer, who's as good a choice as any -- the top non-Elite guy in the company at the moment, and given that Elite is the biggest threat to the DeColts, I can understand wanting to be sparing with the Elite-DeColt showdowns on free TV.) That's just about all a 60-minute show has time to focus on. Presumably, next week will feature Elite and some of the second-tier faces. And so on, and so on. Also, the next PPV is Elimination, and that's made up of three-on-three matches, so there's a good chance none of the titles will be on the line? Self
Thanks for commenting, guys. Far more replies than I expected. I don't think this project is going to lend itself very well to prediction contests, so it's good you found stuff to talk about. I'm very happy to be back writing. Ever since my last project (Frontier Combat Kingdom back on TEW08) I've made several attempts to get something off the ground, but could never find the hook and/or motivation needed. The 8RoW project, with it's unique multiplayer component, has given me that. I'm having a blast. Previously I've kept a kayfabe-only stance in diaries, letting the shows stand of their own merits. I have my reasons for this. However, as multiplayer may lead to a more unique gameplay experience, I'll talk a little more openly. I love the setup of CGC. Some of my favourite wrestling television of the past has only been 1-hour long. TNA Impact back in the day. Dragon Gate Infinity before the change. As a viewer, I loved not having to dedicate 2 hours of my time to keeping up. So it's a booking challenge I'm excited to take on. Plus it's less to write, so I can focus on quality over quantity. We're one week down in this great multiplayer experiment. A week dominated by Bidding Wars. Usually I take my time bringing in new talent, but with 7 rivals snapping up top prospects to 3-year deals, I had to try. It didn't go well. As a Cult promotion, I was handily outmuscled, and my hopes that one or two prospects would be forgotten by my National foes were quickly dashed. They've done their homework, these guys. Still, I didn't come away empty handed. I snagged a potential new colour commentator (love Adrian Garcia, but hate heel commentators with a fiery passion), a new personality, and an undercard worker who is already proving his worth, albeit in ways you won't be seeing. Yet. I'm content with my haul. I plan to make full use of the existing CGC roster. Bringing in new wrestlers would have just been the icing on a cake I already think is going to be rather delicious. Again, thanks for the comments. Hope you enjoy what I've got coming up.

When a DeColt gets caught in that inevitable submission hold, another DeColt has to be there to save the day. Marie’s next sketch shows Jack dressed as a superhero, posing heroically. JACK DECOLT … but I guarantee. No. I DeColt Guarantee that at the end of the night, WE are going to be the ones celebrating. Big smile on her face, Marie starts furiously sketching. JACK DECOLT You… um… You don’t need to draw that one. (looking closely at the sketch) Oh wow. That’s… not at all suitable for children. (to Vibert) Yeah. You’re gonna have to leave now. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Banner_zpsac259299.jpg GOLDEN PROFILE 02 “The Fabulous One” EDDIE CHANDLER Age… 37 Height… 6’4 Weight… 242lbs Gatineau, Quebec http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/EddieChandler_zps1b1432f1.jpg Title History…2x CGC World Champion, 3x CGC Tag Team Champion, CGC Canadian Champion Strengths… Master of Mind Games, Literally No Shame Specialty Moves… Fabulous Stretch (Double Arm Bar) Elitist Plex (Sustained Front Suplex) Combat Connections... Adrian Garcia (Agent) Dan DaLay, Nate Johnson, Sean Deeley (Allies) Looking at Eddie Chandler today, it’s hard to believe that this is the same kid from Quebec who burst into Canadian Golden Combat in 1995. Back then, the good-natured rookie was always happy to shake hands and high five fans. He even took a long string of losses with a smile on his face. “I was an idiot. I thought if I just kept being nice, people would ignore the fact I was getting my ass kicked every week.” Eddie Chandler seemed destined for a life of quiet obscurity until rumors began to spread that he was a homosexual. What incident started these rumors, or if they’re even true, has long since passed into irrelevance. What is relevant is that the subsequent mockery and hazing almost caused Eddie to quit the sport. That is, until he noticed the effect it was having on his opponents. They seemed unnerved by him. “Homophobia is fear. In the right hands, fear is a weapon. Once I learned to use their homophobia against them, I was unstoppable.” An impressive winning streak soon caught the attention of Adrian Garcia, who saw Eddie as not only a talented fighter, but as a unique marketing opportunity. Sick of the locker room that shunned him, and the fans who mocked him, Eddie Chandler was quick to sign with the “Agent To The Stars”, forming the cornerstone of the now infamous Elite stable. “Before The Elite, I never got the respect I deserved. Now, I get the cars, I get the money, I get the... You know. Do any of the DeColts have a cellphone made out of diamonds? I don’t think so.” Not afraid to use his still-questioned sexuality to take his opponents out of their comfort zone, and backed up by a powerful stable, Eddie Chandler is one of CGC’s most dangerous fighters, and one can only assume it won’t be long until he sets his sights on the World Title once more. http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Banner_zpsac259299.jpg Introducing first. He stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs in at 242lbs Fighting out of Gatineau, Quebec. He is a former CGC Triple Crown Winner. “Fabulous” EDDIE CHANDLER! http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/AdrianGarcia_S_zps76f8387e.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/EddieChandler_zps1b1432f1.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/VS2_zpsf88031f9.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/JoeyPoison_zps38e450f6.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/FaithS_zpsec0e66ac.jpg and his opponent, accompanied to the ring by the lovely Faith, 6’0. 235lbs. Hailing from Toronto, Ontario JOEY POISON! Adrian Garcia “Did you hear that, Marty? Triple Crown Winner. That means he’s held the World, Canadian and Tag Team titles over his career. That’s one hell of a resume for the crown jewel of my Elite.” Davis Ditterich “I certainly can’t argue with that, but Joey Poison is quite the decorated athlete himself. Eddie Chandler may be caught by surprise in this one.” Joey Poison looks determined. Chandler blows him a kiss. Poison turns in disgust and- Backcracker! Eddie Chandler lays him out! Chandler takes the fight to the ground and starts grinding Poison into the mat, practically humping him. Poison panics, trying to escape, but he’s just wasting energy and Chandler knows it. The Fabulous One works over his back with elbows drops, backbreakers and Abdominally Fabulous (Kneeling Abdominal Stretch) thrusting his hips to add insult to the injury. Poison manages to break free and attacks with a flurry of offense. Flying Forearms. Russian Legsweep. Twisting Neckbreaker. Eddie Chandler bails outsides and starts throwing a hissy-fit, squealing and crying. Poison launches after him with a Suicide Dive, but Chandler casually steps aside with a smirk, letting Poison slam into the guardrail with a sick thud. Adrian Garcia “He was playing possum! Master of mind games!” Eddie Chandler drags his barely conscious opponent back into the ring, hits the Elitist Plex (Sustained Face Front Suplex) and locks on the Fabulous Stretch (Double Armbar). Poison quits! YOUR WINNER... EDDIE CHANDLER (17:58) Adrian Garcia “The perfect combination of physical and mental power! Who better to captain my Elite to victory in 5 days as ‘CGC Elimination’?” http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/Banner_zpsac259299.jpg CROWD http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCminor/PhilVibertS_zps5557dd38.jpghttp://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p366/celdom/CGCmain/AlexDeColt_S_zps33bed42d.jpg PHIL VIBERT interviews ALEX DECOLT, who sits in the crowd, surrounded by his fans, CGC World Title on his shoulder. PHIL VIBERT Alex, you’ve been out here for the whole show, getting a great look at your ‘Elimination’ opponents. We got Jack and Ricky’s opinions on The Elite earlier, but what do you make of their captain; Eddie Chandler? ALEX DECOLT Eddie Chandler’s got some tricks, but we’ve seen them before. If he expects mercy from us, if he expect us to let our guard down for even a second, he’s got another thing coming. There will be no remorse at Elimination. We’re in for the fight of our lives on Friday, but it’s a fight we’re more than ready for. Individually, The Elite are impressive, but there’s no way they work as well as a team as we do. We’re more than a team. We’re family. WHO RULE? DECOLTS RULE!
