Now, Poison is merely the reliable midcarder and Shaffer is the next main event star of CGC CGC Canadian Title Match: Thrill Seeker vs Christian Price © This comes down to if you actually have any vision for Christian Price or not. I haven't found one for him in my games, but I have seen Lee Rivera, aka Thrill Seeker go on to have massive success in previous editions of the game. After Trent Shaffer took some flak I was a little worried how this version of Eddie Chandler would be recieved. I assume you dont have owner goals since you are playing as Alex, but i do know that Fate seems to be on his 'push' list Actually, I'm playing as Phil Vibert, but you're right in that there are no Owner Goals. I wouldn't say what Trent Shaffer took was flak, as such. More like good-natured heat for a truly unexpected Heel gimmick. We all want to see more of him, really we do. It's just that we're always going to mock him for being Trent Shaffer-Cullen. Also, I was kind of amused at Eddie's gimmick, not just because it's a good one, but because I gave a similar gimmick to Joey Poison when I ran 4C back in '08. Not that he did it for mind games as such, Joey just did weird stuff all the time, but it was fun running the angle where he pinned Jacob Jett by making out with him extensively, leading to Katie Cameron desperately trying to get Jett to have a rematch because it was totally hot. Chandler is inspired; a great take on the flamboyant heel persona, and he uses it as a gimmick rather than just a personality trait, which is awesome. Oh, and I don't hate Trent as a character. Ricky DeColt (Friend/Rival) Impressive as the Canadian Champion now stands, it wasn’t so long ago that Christian Price was considered the joke of Canadian Golden Combat. Despite his towering height, the then-pudgy pugilist was one of the worst natural athletes to ever step into the DeColt Power House, reportedly unable to run without tripping over his own feet. It’s nothing short of a miracle that he graduated from the prestigious training academy, let alone got signed by CGC in 2005. “I… I don’t know what you want me to say. I thought you were going to ask questions. Someone ask a question before this gets awkward.” After only winning a scant handful of matches in his first few years with the company, CGC management sent Christian on a tour of the UK in 2010. Officially, the idea was for him to learn new techniques, but there were rumors that officials hoped he’d get lost over there and never return. While Christian never got to grips with the technical side of the British wrestling, he did learn one thing; a thunderous european uppercut that he has used to devastating effect since his return to Canada. “If I could have any superpower, it would be teleportation. That would be cool. What was your question?” Learning a new technique isn’t the only change Price has undergone in recent years. Formerly afraid of gyms, Price completely changed his physique in 2011 after being challenged by Ricky DeColt to see which of them could put on the most muscle mass. Videos of the pair hitting the gym, being force-fed chicken, and attempting to sabotage each other’s efforts, soon went viral, launching Price to unexpected fame. Although Ricky was eventually declared the winner via fan-voting, Price claims he would have won had the audience not been biased against gingers. “Hey. That’s our word! Only we can use it.” Christian Price comes into 2013 as one of the most popular stars of the CGC roster, a fact that surprises no one more than Christian himself. Still far from comfortable in the limelight, he’s half-convinced his current CGC Canadian Title reign is an elaborate practical joke. “Can I get a lift home from one of you guys? The company make their way to the ring, when Christian Price suddenly realises he isn’t wearing the CGC Canadian Title. He and the dwarves frantically look around and- ROAR! Suddenly, a DRAGON emerges from the entranceway… or at least, four blokes in a costume do. Price and the Dwarves go crazy, attacking the beast with manic, theatrical fury. The dragon is too strong, batting them aside with ease. Several of the dwarves cower in fear. A particularly fat one has stolen some kid’s popcorn. Another attacks a camera, claiming it stole his soul. Just as all hope seems lost, Christian Price european uppercuts the Dragon’s head off. Chocolate gold coins pour out, which the dwarves throw into the crowd. Price reaches into the dragon’s stomach and pulls out the CGC Canadian Title! Price eventually realizes he’s huge and powers out, but Seeker kicks up the tempo and starts bouncing off of the ropes at impossible angles, three steps ahead of the flummoxed Price at all times. Price can’t keep up... So he stops trying. Instead, Price starts laying in with thunderous european uppercuts. Simple. Effective. Unstoppable. Thrill Seeker is in serious trouble from the assault, but manages to turn the tide with some innovative kicks. The two fighters go toe-to-toe, move-for-move, until Thrill Seeker lays Price out with a Daredevil Drop (Fame Asser) and launches off the top with a huge frog splash. Price nails him in mid-air with a European Uppercut, and hits the Price Check (TKO) for the win. ADRIAN GARCIA Split them up! Eddie and Nate flee to opposite sides of the arena, Ricky and Alex in hot pursuit. Jack tries to finish Sean off with the End of Days (Bow & Arrow Dragon Sleeper) but the Shooter turns the tables with his superior mat skills. Meanwhile, Eddie tricks Ricky by pretending to cry, before hurling him into a guardrail. Grinding Nate’s face into the ramp, Alex sees his brothers in trouble. ALEX DECOLT Back to the ring! Alex rushes to Ricky’s aid, taking Chandler out with a hurled chair, and the brothers make it back to the ring just in time to save Jack from a Seated Stretch Armbar. The DeColts once again take control, fighting as one while their opponents attack individually. Suddenly, Eddie grabs a handful of Jack’s junk, sending The Wild Man into a rage. Jack chases Chandler around the ring... and runs right into Natural Order (Leg Lariat) from Nate onto the cold hard concrete. Ricky goes for a suicide dive, but Johnson ducks and Ricky crashes into the crowd. Three-against-one. Sean Deeley tries to lock in the Seated Stretch Armbar, but Alex has studied it well. Nate goes for the leg lariat, but Alex ducks just in time. Chandler goes for the Elitist Plex, but Alex counters and goes for the DeColt Driver (Straightjacket Drop). Nate makes the save, and the three Elite warriors swarm the champion and hit a Triple-Team-Elitist-Plex (Assisted Front Suplex) for the pin. ALEX DECOLT HAS BEEN ELIMINATED Jack DeColt goes berserk with right hands and Shoulder Tackles, while Ricky hurls himself fearlessly at the enemy, barreling Nate and Chandler over the top with a crossbody. Jack levels Deeley with the Wild Ride (Reverse Death Valley Driver)! SEAN DEELEY HAS BEEN ELIMINATED Eddie Chandler waffles Ricky with a chair shot that busts him wide open. Jack goes nuts, tackling The Fabulous One to the ground and pounding his face into a bloody mess. So focussed is his rage that he doesn’t notice Nate sneaking up behind. Marie screams for him to turn around, but Nate nails him with a chair, and hits a Double Underhook Powerbomb onto it for the pin. JACK DECOLT HAS BEEN ELIMINATED Nate Johnson and Eddie Chandler stalk the bloodied, battering, yet surviving DeColt. Chandler locks in Abdominally Fabulous (Kneeling Abdominal Stretch) thrusting his hips to add insult to the injury, while Nate taunts him. As Nate turns to show off his corporate logos for the camera, Ricky counters the Elitist Plex into a risky roll up on Chandler, and... It pays off! 1... 2... 3! EDDIE CHANDLER HAS BEEN ELIMINATED Ricky is fired up! Nate turns around into some patented DeColt right hands. Throat Thrust. Nate gasps for air as Ricky picks up the chair and busts him wide open!
