The main event underperformed. Perhaps the wrestlers aren't as talented as their pushes suggest. Perhaps lack of tag experience played a part. Perhaps the fact that three of them are undersized (you know, compared to DeColts) played a part. Still, it was a perfectly fine match, and their opening promo pulled the show up to my typical B- rating. May be worth noting that for the second week in a row, DeColt vs Prospect got match of the night. In other news, someone got suspended at this show.

I'd answer some comments, but they're mostly about Trent and I'm frankly sick of him. If I had a Royal Rumble coming up I'd have half a mind to job him out in a 20-minute barnstormer of an opening.

A familiar-looking Double Underhook Powerbomb gets a 2-count. Alex is thrown outside again, but this time outwits the prospects, stunning them with throat thrusts and ducking El Eet’s plancha. The luchador crashes into his team mates, and is dragged back into the ring. Tower Collapse Superplex! He sets up for the DeColt Driver (Straightjacket Drop) but Fraser and Technique attack!

Cooking on gas. I'm also very happy with the decision to put Alex/El Eet on last, instead of the Price/Zeus match that had to do with the World Title program. El Eet doesn’t have the best popularity (in his defense, he debuted quite recently) but he and Alex work very, very well together. Y'know, the D-Bry comparison had occurred to me. In fact, pretty much that exact response had occurred to me - "I wonder if this is how annoyed the WWE booking team feels, when the fans insist on cheering for a guy that they don't want to push yet?"

The question becomes, how much are you writing this for yourself, and how much for the audience? Neither is wrong, I hasten to add. If you have a story that you want to tell, and you put it here so that we can see it, then that's legit, do what you like. If you want to roll with your wacky internet fans and use our feedback as inspiration, than that's fine too. It's just a thing to consider.

Do I write for me or you guys? The answer is neither, and the answer is both. Yes, there's a clear written-in-stone story being told. Yes, your reactions change everything. Which came first? The chicken... and the egg... and neither.

Don't take the Trent/Bryan comments too seriously. I'm screwing around. Being topical. Trent is one of my favourite characters. Although I also think Bryan is one of Vince's favourite characters, so maybe there is more of a correlation between the two besides "they're small".

They are small though. Really small. So shut up about them.

As much as I am looking forward to a color scheme change (it really is a nice touch and sets the different championship reigns apart and makes them feel special) I don't feel that Poison's reign is over. Heck it feels as if it hasn't really started because to me it's just gaining steam with the story you are telling.

El Eet is my favorite character in this entire dynasty I love what you have done with him so I can't predict a loss for him.

Technique & Golden vs Prime Energy

Normally I would vote against a team that isn't really a team in favor of a team that is an actual team. But it would make sense for Technique and Golden to get the win in order to prove their worth to the Elite.

Of course, before that we'll uncover some of Trent's deepest, darkest past, how he was neglected or even abused as a child, how he became twisted as a result, how he's desperately starved of motherly love, and the very reason that he will inevitably turn on Christian: he's jealous of the fact that Christian has the loving mother that he lacks. He will of course start with trying to win her over by pretending to turn into the dear little darling boy that Christian is, but will eventually snap and resort to force when it becomes apparent that he will never take the place of her real son in her heart. And it will all culminate in a Mommy-Price-on-a-Pole match where Christian and Trent battle to retrieve Mommy from a forklift and the winner getting to keep her. .......I'll just go take my medicine now.
