He told the crowd that later on tonight the REAL #1 Detective Agency would be taking on The Law to clear their names, but right now he & Rapada intend to show Marshall & Maloney's accomplices what good, old fashioned American truth, justice & integrity are all about! Lugosi got Stu in the Vampire Bite Neck Hold but Stu managed to break free just before Lugosi sank his fangs into Stu's neck* *He fought back and hit a third Gator Drop, leaving just the Vudu Chief himself to face* *The Chief looked a little worried as he got into the ring, and Stu came at him full force* *However the previous three opponents had taken their toll on Stu, and the Vudu Chief looked set to win the match, setting up the Vudu Bomb...* *...but Stu countered!!! Then later on will see the men of the two bands face off in a four on four Elimination Match! And finally the ladies of the bands will face off, with the winner of their match going on to face Angelique for the GAW Ladies Title at Last Night in New England this coming Sunday! And after that the WINNER of the FIRST ANNUAL GAW BATTLE OF THE BANDS will be announced, with the losers having to 'break up the band'. Reviewers Thoughts: Good hype from Ford there. About his runs in RAWA & WWWE and what it takes to be a legend.... and on and on, before finally Eric took the mic off him and said, 'Yeah pops, but we wanna wrestle tonight, yeah? Come on, I got a punk kid from my youth to mess up!' Reviewers Thoughts: So, Guy went on and on, but honestly, the crowd were hanging off every word! Eric actually got booed when he stopped him! Oh, and as a side note, Travis visibly winced when his dad said XEW was in England! Brian King & Famous C have absolutely zero chemistry together and I'm pretty sure that the match was meant to go on longer but the Lotharios called time on it. And it needed it doing too! Such a shame for Travis Lothario to have his debut US match be such a mess. Eric & Travis released their submissions and the Lotharios swaggered to the back while medics checked on Too Famous. Reviewers Thoughts: Still not sure if Travis & Famous C just went with it or if all that was planned, but it went over nicely with the crowd. The Lotharios are as hated as ever! Awful wrestling here though, I have honestly seen better indie matches from rookies. But the crowd seemed to like it so... Santana told Ford that it was a pretty sore subject right now, no-one feels good when they are turned on by someone they thought was their friend. So instead Ford asked what he thought of Eric's new tag team partner. Santana admitted knowing nothing about Travis. Ford asked Richie about where he wants to go from here now that he is out of the tag scene and Richie asked Ford why he thinks that a Santana isn't worthy of holding the GAW American Tag Team Titles? Ford tried to explain that that was not what he meant, but Santana got up fuming and walked away from the ring. Forgetting he was still micced up he was heard to say, 'No tag partner? I'll show him!' as he walked through the curtain. Ford was left in the ring to shrug and ask the crowd to give Richie Santana Jr the applause he deserved and wished him well, whatever he ended up doing. Reviewers Thoughts: Ford handled himself well, Santana not so much. At least they kept his bits short. And it seems that we shouldn't count Santana out of the tag ranks quite yet. And its great to see the Winner of the TEW.com 2012 Independent Wrestler of the Year get the recognition he deserves. Brunzell & Kendall shook hands afterwards to show no bad blood, a nice touch. Plus it means that hopefully Dirk Robertson will be able to move beyond the lower-midcard title scene. He introduced both Serenity & Susie Van Zant to the ring and tried to ask them some questions but it quickly dissolved into a catfight which somehow ended up with Serenity on all-fours with Susie Van Zant riding her like a horse while whipping Serenity's rear with her mic cord! After laughing along with the crowd Ford broke it up and told the Ladies to save it for their match that will begin in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Reviewers Thoughts: A really funny segment, and lets not forget that Van Zant & Serenity are two of the hottest ladies around! So maybe it is a good job the RAWA closed when it did, to stop these two guys from ever setting foot in the ring together! After nearly twenty years of waiting it turns out that Nomad & Rudy Single have absolutely no chemistry together in the ring. None. Maybe even less than none! Such a shame, and it looks like the feud isn't done yet either, this could make things tricky... He nodded to his brother and the pair rushed the ring, causing the heels to bail and allowing the Hart Brothers to play to the crowd a little.* *The match finally got underway and the Hart's 'picked their dance partners', Scott concentrating on Massey while Nick worked on Kinsella* *With no count-outs Kinsella & Nick Hart spent a bit of time on the outside, with HOSS & Angelique getting involved when the ref wasn't looking* *Kinsella rolled Nick back in for the pin but Scott made the save* *The faces got back in charge and both dumped their opponents to the outside before shaking hands and squaring off* *What followed was one of the greatest displays of technical wrestling I have ever seen which ending in both men trying to make the other tap out at the same time* *But Massey & Kinsella had recovered and laid the boots to the British Hart Foundation, taking the advantage* *But then things began to fall apart for Kinsella & Massey as they argued about who would pin the downed Nick Hart!* *The Harts recovered while the two brawled and stuck back with twin clotheslines before both locking in the Figure Four, Scott on Kinsella & Nick on Massey. After about a minute of trying to fight out and being dragged away from the ropes (and their stablemate) Shay Kinsella began to tap a mere second before Brett Massey did!* *The bell was rung and Scott Hart was declared the winner. Kinsella & Massey were helped to the back by HOSS & Angelique while Scott Hart celebrated in the ring, his brother shaking his hand, hugging him and raising his arm to end the show* SCOTT HART wins via submission to retain the GAW World Heavyweight Title (12:38) Reviewers Thoughts: A damn fine Main Event level performance from all four men there! That match could have gone any way a dozen times, and Nick came so close! If Kinsella had held out another two seconds Nick Hart would have been the champion right now! GRADE: B OVERALL THOUGHTS That was a pretty damn respectable show to leave Austin, Texas with to be honest! Barring a few disappointing matches (Single/Nomad & Lotharios/Too Famous I'm looking at you here) a very very good show and if early indications are correct it's quality will put GAW in contention for the top spot in a lot of TEW.com Regional Battles this month! Eric tried to apologise but King threw it back in his face and the pair almost came to blows. Jack America reportedly took the fatherly approach and advised Brian to drop it, saying that kids do awful things and he should keep the past in the past & look to the future. But then when King & C were awful together in the ring Eric apparently lost his cool and just got the match finished. After his recent 'unstoppable' push in PWI it came as a bit of a shock that they would job him out on the pre-show to be honest.
