Pro Wrestling... But Not Quite As You Know It...

Recommended Posts

After trying Captain Charisma's present day mod but unfortunately finding the processing too long (even for a patient guy like me), I am again using Genadi's 2001 mod, only this time I won't be with TNA...

PSW – PRIOR TO OPENING

Potter opens PSW and signs the following people.

AJ Styles

Amazing Red

Austin Aries

Bobby Roode

Bruce Prichard (road agent)

Caprice Coleman

Claudio Castagnoli

CM Punk

‘Cowboy’ James Storm

Doug Williams

Drew McIntyre

Samoa Joe

Wes Adams (referee)

PSW will be a wrestling company like no other. There will be no predetermined winners except for when a storyline dictates there needs to be one, which won’t happen until a tv deal is earned. In addition, there will be a ranking system based on a wrestler’s earned points from his victories. There is no heel/face divide, every wrestler faces another on their merits. The ranking system will determine who is in line to challenge for championships.

SATURDAY SCRAMBLE

Saturday, week 3, June 2001

FCW Arena, Tampa, Florida

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTNNp2xte7Sc7TCef1PeM69NBEDTu8ijj9N4QJ_4xiTP17X3mso

THE SECOND CLASH

Austin Aries v Doug Williams

A solid match devoid of interest from the masses (ha ha) in attendance, Aries got the better of Williams in 9:52 by pinfall with a Brainbuster. Both men were hellbent on hurting the other, feeling that they had been robbed of their chance on the South Eastern Championship Tournament due to their draw last week. D-

FIVE WAY MATCH

Six ranking points to the winner (those not involved in the fall do not have their rankings affected)

Amazing Red v Bobby Roode v Claudio Castagnoli v CM Punk v Samoa Joe

This match lifted the crowd following the opener, but it suffered in that there was too much action going on at once for the crowd to follow, especially in the absence of any video screen to play any replays. Many, many near falls in the match but the one that ended the chaos occurred in 14:07 when Amazing Red defeated Claudio Castagnoli by pinfall following a Code Red.E

PSW SOUTH EASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI FINAL

Drew McIntyre v Nigel McGuinness

Another solid match and another big upset as the young Drew McIntyre defeated Nigel McGuinness in 15:45 by submission. McIntyre, nowhere near old enough to drink beer on either side of the Atlantic yet will be in the final to determine the first PSW South Eastern Champion. And he's earned it. While unexpected, his two victories to get there have been deserved. D-

PSW SOUTH EASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMI FINAL

AJ Styles v Caprice Coleman v ‘Cowboy’ James Storm

The hottest crowd yet in PSW, though that's not saying much saw a good match where the winner meets McIntyre for the title next month. Coleman and the Cowboy both came close but both came up short, as AJ got the decision in 21:32 by defeating 'Cowboy' James Storm by pinfall with a Styles Clash. AJ looked good and was the deserved victor. D+

Before Potter Sport Wrestling's second show is posted, I have a couple of questions...

1. Unlike TEW2010, when I pre book the shows, it doesn't show any heat. Has this been taken out?

2. Has changing ticket prices also been removed? I couldn't see it in the business section any more.

Yes to both, ticket prices are set automatically now.

(Nigel McGuinness v Samoa Joe was originally to be on the show, but McGuinness will be away touring with Pro Wrestling NOAH.

PREDICTION COMPETITION

The winner gets to name my fourth show (tiebreaker if required)

Also the monthly prize (like on my TEW2010 diary) of choosing a wrestler to be profiled (no tiebreaker so there can be joint winners, and remember it’s 2001 on my game)

COME ON DREW! I know you can do it!

Honestly, to see Drew third in your rankings is great. Caprice grew to be your standout guy in TNA so I look forward to seeing Drew and Caprice clash. AJ Who? :p

This first show is more me going with what I think their popularity in the mod might be.

PSW SOUTH EASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FINAL – Drew McIntyre v AJ Styles

Sorry MichiganHero, I am not a fan of Drew at all. In fact whenever the 3 Man band are on television I cringe. All they would have to do is add Zach Ryder to the group and you would truly have the four people on the roster that I could care less about.:D
