Horrible Backstage Drama!!

Recommended Posts

I have been playing the 1983 Mod for a long time now. I am up to 1989. As the NWA I have bought out the WWF and the AWA. I have set each up as a separate "brand". So, technically I am running NWA, AWA and WWF at the same time. Awesome, right?

It would be except for the backstage drama! The NWA brand has a solid backstage rating of around 90% but both WWF and AWA have dropped to 0%!

The WWF Negatives are:

Hulk Hogan, Vince, Savage, Orndorff, Piper, Ultimate Warrior

The AWA Negatives are:

Rude, Manny Fernandez, Tiger Mask, Dynamite Kid

I don't want to get rid of any of these guys (Especially the WWF GUYS) but EVERY SHOW there is an incident followed by a "whatever" response when I handle the incident. Feel like I need to start firing people. What do you guys do about stuff like that?

I fire people after these incidents on 3 occasions.

1. If i can tolerate it. For example, i can tolerate millions of whatevers from Hulk Hogan, but if Brooklyn Brawler does some 2 or 3 shits, i will fire him. It depends on how popular the guy is, how up in the card he is, how much money he can generate for me and the plans. I'm going to return to the plans very soon, but then, i give chances to the Midcarders too. But if they continue to lower the morale, they have to go. Paul Roma is a example. He has one strike here in my 1991 game, and if he hits 3 strikes, i'm not going to be Pretty with him (:p).

2. If i have plans for the guy. If the guy is a Main Eventer too and i have no plans for him, i'm going to consider firing him. Maybe raise the maximum strikes to 5 or 6, but if a guy is lost on the roster and lowers the morale, he's out. Because i don't need him.

3. If i don't like the guy. This is very rare, as i just don't like some 5 wrestlers, like The Warrior and Ezekiel Jackson. But like i said, it's very rare.

<p>I think it's worth considering ditching some of them. Orndorff, Warrior, Fernandez, Dynamite Kid, possibly Vince would be the ones on the block for me.</p><p> </p><p>

If there are negative relationships, consider getting rid of one side of it. If one guy has multiple, probably worth axing him. Look at the positive relationships people on your roster have and hire their friends/family. Seek out positive personalities. Maybe redistribute your bad guys among all three brands so they are spread thinner, and have positive influences on each.</p>

I can actually see Vince McMahon booking all of that! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> Also, I agree with Yank. Savage, and Hogan for that matter(in 1989 anyway) shouldn't be weighing down the backstage area. I'd say have Savage just a tick, but not very much, towards Egotistical. If any of his personalities should be extreme, it should be him being Driven because that's one of the few personality traits that doesn't have an effect, positive or negative, on the locker room from my experiences(and he was a driven worker). Now Dynamite Kid? Oh yeah, he should be a major headache. You have to be bad to have your own relative calling a company and making up a lie about you being in a serious car crash.</p>

<p>Hogan is right up there with HHH for the most egotistical workers of all time.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Hogan was such a joke that even when he was ancient and semi-retired, he still refused to put over anyone. That and he's pretty damn mercenary.</p>

Do these guys have anywhere else to go? It sounds like you're dominating North America so feel free to kick some troublemakers to the curb. Let them enjoy being unemployed for six months and see if it improves any of their attitudes.

If you job them hard before firing then they can even help build up their own replacements. :D

I think. Each show has a set brand. Is that what you mean?</p><p> </p><p> Maybe the backstage ratings are different but they appear to be the same. A dude from Brand A will do something positive before a Brand B show. Also, you can select a guy from Brand A to cut a promo on Brand B's show if you deselect that grey box when setting up an angle.</p>
