TEW 2013 Active Diary Index

Recommended Posts

After seeing the mod index I got the idea to do something similar for the diaries on here. I'm going to keep a list of the running diaries on the board with a small description of them with it. With it being grouped into types of diaries it should mean that if someone enjoys a certain diary then can look on here for others of a similar type that are up and active.

Let me know if for some reason you want your diary taken down or if it isn't active any more. Also if I put one in the wrong category or anything like that then just let me know.

Whether your diary is up here yet or not, if you want there to be a short description of what it is then post it here or PM me and I'll add it in. If I've not yet added it a link as I've done it would also be helpful!

Also a big thanks to smwilliams who has kept this up to date each month!

RW: WWE THREE Brands... 'The Corporate Era'... by The Lloyd (Mod DOTM x3, Monthly Spotlight DOTM)

WWE: Three Brands has been running since March 2013 and is all written up to December 2014 so far... You'll see familiar names at the top like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, John Cena and Dolph Ziggler... But also some slightly less familiar top stars, like TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd - yes, I pushed him before the WWE did in real life), Sami Zayn (from NXT) and Johnny Curtis (Fandango)... As well as signings from TNA like Bobby Money (Bobby Roode) and Samoa Joe!!

Join in and predict at any time, the prizes at the end of each month normally go down well... Prizes include things like: Picking who faces Undertaker for 'The Streak' at Wrestlemania... Who wins certain Titles, matches, or feuds... Sometimes I open it up to the readers to pick ANYTHING... recently, Triple H was chosen to 'cheat' on Stephanie McMahon, leading to him leaving the company... This meant that Steph needed a new 'squeeze' - to be revealed soon... And then smaller prizes include: picking tag team names... picking nicknames for some undercard talent... and picking entrants in the Royal Rumble Match, MITB Ladder Match or King of the Ring Tournament!'

WWE 2004: The Hangover by RKOwnage (Mod DOTM, Monthly Spotlight DOTM x3)

After buying out their mortal enemy, World Championship Wrestling, in 2001, many believed that Vince McMahon and the WWE had gotten lazy with their programming as well as the brand split. With Triple H 'hogging' the World Heavyweight Championship on RAW and the perceived devaluing of the WWE Championship on SmackDown, many fans see this time period as wasted on account of complacent and hapless writing. But this time, it's different!

WWE 2014: What did I just watch? by Captain2 (Mod DOTM, Monthly Spotlight DOTM)

When the WWE takes a change in creative direction it veers wildly off course. Detective Dolph Ziggler investigates cases with the aid of his trusty friend Big Show, Emma, Layla and Bayley form Super Magical Fighter Team S Series to protect love and friendship against the forces of Evil, Paige is possessed by the lord of darkness and The Miz is a genetically enhanced super wrestler. Once described by reader MichiganHero as "It's chaos so beautiful...it's perfection."

When Glass Shatters, it cracks in many different paths. Just when it looked as though the storm clouds were passing for the WWF after the Montreal Screwjob, a huge setback was dealt as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is forced into retirement! Can Vince McMahon still bring the attention of the world back without Austin, or is the die cast for WCW to completely take over the wrestling world? Written from McMahon’s own point of view, will the coming Attitude Era sink or swim without its brightest star?

Yeh this is an excellent idea my friend :)

As far as describing the diaries, I think mine can be summed up like this:

"RW: WWE THREE Brands... 'The Corporate Era'...

Started in February 2013, just after the Royal Rumble... OFF SCREEN: Vince McMahon decided to create a THIRD 'brand' but all that meant was to have a third 'A Show'... originally called Superstars, but now called WWE Warzone... With an aging roster, and plenty of people fairly injury prone, McMahon also decided to bring in an aging wrestler who is also injury prone, in Kurt Angle!! He also asked Triple H to promote a fair few NXT stars, and then raided ROH for some of their big names, such as Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards, Roderick Strong and Tommaso Ciampa...

ON SCREEN: Vince, Angle and Ciampa formed The Corporation, along with Randy Orton, Shad Gaspard, and a few others here and there... but then Vince McMahon died... annoyingly..."

That's too long?

Okay...

Try again...

"RW: WWE THREE Brands... 'The Corporate Era'...

Its an alright diary... top five guys at the moment are probably Randy Orton, CM Punk, Samoa Joe, Daniel Bryan and John Cena... Punk and Orton are the World Champs heading into Summer Slam...

I run a prediction contest on EVERY show... but then the best average across the month, and also the best score at the pay-per-view, gets a decent booking prize... I think of it as a diary for the people, by the people... as my readers make a LOT of decisions for me through prediction prizes!! :)"

How do you think things should be categorised? I'm pretty sure it should be split up into C-Verse, RW, Thunderverse etc. And then probably into current/historic. But then I'm not sure how to split it up promotion-wise. Should I list every promotion? Or have most the big companies and then an others list? Or I could split it into game areas, or the size of the company... What do people think would be best?

<p>For now, I'd have what you are doing right now. For mods based on mods (like CV-97 or the LotharioVerse), I'd put a mod category on their parent mod (so the Thunderverse mod would have a 'LotharioVerse' subsection).</p><p> </p><p>

Right now, I'd have every company that is currently being used right now, with a 'Created' option for created promotions.</p><p>

Then again, it's from my opinion.</p>

I would say if it drops off the forums so below the 5th page then I can safely assume it has ended but it is possible some people might just update it very rarely, I'm not sure how long it would take for something to drop off. I could just do it whenever the writer says it's over but plenty of times that might not happen. But hey, don't forget about IPW: A Friend In Need. It may not be the best or biggest diary, but it's got heart.</p><p> </p><p>

As for a description...</p><p> </p><p>

It's really kind of The Big Lebowski in a sense with Nemesis, Eric Tyler, and Johnny Martin as The Dude, Walter, and Donnie. May 2014 right now. Johnny Martin is the champ and he's still kind of an asshole, especially since he runs a group featuring Nemesis Campbell and Teddy Powell. They're feuding with Frantic Ali and Eric Tyler (who has wrestled a few matches).</p><p> </p><p>

I'll not bother with a description as it seems a bit odd writing an advert for it! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Similarly not going to write a description. Partly like jhd1 says, because it's an advert. Partly because all I can think of is "I'm doing CGC". There isn't really a special gimmick for the project (anymore) or a special goal or story that my user character is on. </p><p> </p><p>

Actually, screw it. Super advert time. Imagine the movie voice over guy. </p><p> </p><p>

CGC: On The Show Show [8RoW]</p><p>

<em>"The author of FCK and vast quantities of Twilight fan-fiction welcomes you to DeColt Country with a vision of Canadian Golden Combat that promises to blow your mind and Punch! You! In! The! Face!"</em></p><p> </p><p>

Aww yeah.</p><p> </p><p>

Neither is PWC (Guest Booker) technically as that was evolved from USPW. Other than that, looks awesome! Good job.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I've edited those two but I'm not sure what should count as created. IPW definitely shouldn't, I just forgot that it started as a promotion. With the promotions that are yet to debut I suppose it's a thin line between being that promotion and using that promotion's name and logo.</p>

To be honest when I mentioned a description I more meant things like the format. Does it follow the shows? Is it more about backstage segments? Does it have a narrator etc. Although the advert style things works too.</p><p> </p><p> If it's any consolation, yours did the job. It reminded me to go see if that Gargantuan profile is up yet. Sadly it isn't...</p>
