John Hennigan landed the Moonlight Drive, but before he could land Starship Pain, Alex Shelley rolled out of the way and locked him in the Border City Stretch for a submission victory. These two fought it out for over eight minutes, before Chris Sabin went for the Cradle Shock. Instead, Alex Shelley climbed into the ring. Sabin got in Shelley's face, which allowed Kage to land the Guillotine Choke on Sabin for the upset submission victory. In a good match without much heat, Vince Kage def. Chris Sabin with the Guillotine Choke at 8:19 after Alex Shelley turned on Chris Sabin. The attempt to take down a unit like F.O.E. continued, with Abyss and MDH teaming up with the Whole F'N Show this time around. The team was a good one, and Fall of Entertainment had their hands full. Things broke down in the end, around the ten minutes mark. Rob Van Dam brawled all the way to the back with The Terrapin, and Kane and Abyss traded blows up and down ringside. The two tag teams duked it out in the middle of the ring, and Cody Rhodes was taken out of the ring with a clothesline from Rompo. This left Darren Rosser to land the Rosserator on Hurricane Helms to secure his team the victory. In a good match with average heat, Fall of Entertainment def. Abyss, RVD & MDH in 10:28 after the Rosserator on Helms. Rhino landed the Gore on Joe for a pin. (Total: 38) 5. Christian Cage landed the Unprettier on Nosux, but Morgan pushed him out of the ring and stole the pin. (Total: 68) 6. <div style="text-align:center;">TNA IMPACT WRESTLING Thursday, Week 2, November 2014 KS Century II Convention Center Sold out in front of 5,244 fans! The show was led in by Mike Tenay, Jim Ross, and Taz before heading to the ring for the first match-up. Match 1 Singles Match Samoa Joe vs. Zane Nosux This opening singles bout was a good one, pitting two of TNA's toughest competitors against each other. Zane Nosux looked to set himself apart from Fall of Entertainment as a dominant force, and he did such here tonight. Joe put up a better fight than anyone though, and only fell victim to the Package Piledriver after his former tag team partner, John Hennigan, interfered and landed a Flying Chuck when the referee wasn't looking. In a match that had some good action and average heat, Zane Nosux defeated Samoa Joe in 12:53 by pinfall with a Package Piledriver following interference from John Hennigan. Rating: 69 Match 2 Tag Team Match Non-Title Sick & Twisted vs. Mr. Anderson and Rob Van Dam A pretty good match saw two members of Fall of Entertainment take on two of TNA's top stars. The tag team champions looked to prove themselves, without the use of underhand tactics, as advised by TNA Owner Paul Heyman. Unfortunately, Darren Rosser and Rompo couldn't get it done as Anderson and RVD managed to isolate the smaller competitor and RVD kicked Rompo off the ropes as Anderson finished off D-Ross. In a match that had some good action and average heat, Mr. Anderson and Rob Van Dam defeated Sick & Twisted in 7:51 when Mr. Anderson defeated Darren Rosser by pinfall with a Green Bay Plunge. Rating: 59 RVD improves Technical & Performance skills. Match 3 Singles Match Director of Chaos vs. Brutus Magnus Another bout focused on FOE not cheating to gain a victory, DOC took on the man pegged as a 'future world champion.' Magnus has been trying to find a stride since agreeing to end the British Invasion tag team, and he may have found it here tonight. He put away the bigger man with a Tower of London. In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Brutus Magnus defeated Director of Chaos in 8:06 by pinfall with a Tower of London. Rating: 49 Magnus improves Rumble skills. A hype video played, showcasing Bobby Roode and his recent attempts at success, as well as his past success. Rating: 48 Match 4 Singles Match Bobby Roode vs. Stevie Richards The ECW Original was no match for an intent Bobby Roode here tonight, who wants to prove himself in the ring more than anything. "The It Factor" picked up the win after a solid bout with the Payoff. In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Bobby Roode defeated Stevie Richards in 7:23 by pinfall with a Payoff. Rating: 53 The shot cuts backstage, where Samoa Joe is shown in the locker room. His towel is draped around his neck, and he looks at the camera. Samoa Joe: "Look, I'm tired of John Hennigan! Obviously he got tired of me when we were tag partners, and now I'm tired of him trying to pretend he's Shawn Michaels or somethin'. You wanna turn me into Marty Jannety, John? Good luck. See, I had a career before you, and I'll sure as hell have a career after you. I'll regain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, no matter if you stand in my way, or anyone else. Joe's gonna kill you." He stares into the camera with an intimidation factor. Rating: 62 Match 5 Tag Team Match Modern Day Heroes vs. HayaMoto The two 'evil' Japanese competitors took on, in a fitting way, the two members of the tag team division that fight for justice and the good deed. A solid match of good vs. evil saw Cody Rhodes and Hurricane Helms continue their escapades as excellent tag partners, and they landed a nice stereo Cross Rhodes/Nightmare on Helms Street combination on their opponents. In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Modern Day Heroes defeated HayaMoto in 8:16 when Cody Rhodes defeated Yamamoto by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. Rating: 61 Yamamoto improves Performance. Kane is seen in the ring with a microphone. He is without the other members of Fall of Entertainment. Kane: "Tonight, I hand picked Shelton Benjamin's opponent. TNA has recently signed another former 'E competitor. And that man will face Shelty B here.. tonight. The reason I'm in the ring is to give this man, and he knows who he is.. an offer he can't afford to refuse. So, why don't you just come out here, kid?" A slightly familiar theme song hits, and out comes a young man from the back. Mike Tenay notes "that's Joe Hennig! Son of 'Mr. Perfect' Curt Hennig!" Joe Hennig makes his way down to the ring and is handed a microphone. Joe Hennig: Now, listen, now.. I was brought to TNA for a reason. Do you think that reason was to become one of your lackey's Kane? Do ya--do you think I was, am being brought here to play your games and follow you around like Christian and Shelton and 'D-Ross' or 'Rompo' or 'Terraspin, or whatever'? Like Gall--DOC? No. I'm here to make an Impact! I don't care if you wanna Chokeslam me, I don't care if you wanna bring the goons out here to attack me.. I don't give a damn. I'm here because my father would've wanted me to carry out his legacy, and I'm gonna do that. For starters, I'm gonna be Shelton Benjamin up next. And then you, you are going to take notice of me!" Perfect Jr. drops the microphone and Kane looks frustrated, but heads to ringside as Shelton Benjamin's music hits. Rating: 66 Joe Hennig's Family Tradition gimmick received a 90 rating. Match 6 Singles Match Shelton Benjamin vs. "Perfect Jr." Joe Hennig This was a good match that saw Joe Hennig showcase his skills. He took it to Shelty B, while Kane watched from ringside. Shelton and Kane both headed Heyman's advice to keep from cheating and underhand tactics. This led to Hennig picking up a nice victory with a Perfect Plex. In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Joe Hennig defeated Shelton Benjamin in 10:24 by pinfall with a Perfect Plex. Rating: 62 Pre-Main Event Singles Match Wilow the Wisp vs. Christian Cage The pre-main event was a good one. Jeff Hardy's crazy alter ego was let loose here once again, as he took on another Fall of Entertainment member. After beating The Terrapin last week, he looked to prove a point in beating Kane's second-in-command here tonight. The two fought back and forth, with Christian getting the advantage and slowing Willow down for the majority of the match. Willow managed to escape a Pendulum Kick attempt and land Whisper in the Wind, however, followed by the Swanton Bomb for the victory. In a match that had some good action and average heat, Willow The Wisp defeated Christian Cage in 15:19 by pinfall with a Swanton Bomb. Rating: 70 Christian improves Performance skills, Willow improves Technical skills. After the match, Willow grabbed a microphone. A distorted version of his voice came out as he spoke, but it was slightly understandable. Willow: "F.O.E... you are the ultimate foe.. I am doing no more than proving that I can conquer all of you at this point.. two down, four to go.. and then one remains.. Kane.. You bestn't worry about Perfection whilst Willow the Wisp wonders the wayside.. I shall beat your crew, and nothing will be left but you.." He lets out a wicked laugh before heading to the back. Rating: 64 Matt Morgan & Rhino hit the ring to hype their match against AJ Styles and Kofi Kingston. Morgan put himself over like a god among men, and said the monster to his left would make sure Kofi wouldn't be a problem, and he wouldn't have a problem punishing AJ and giving him a taste of the pain he'll give them in their WHC match. Rating: 64 Main Event Tag Team Match Matt Morgan & Rhino vs. AJ Styles and Kofi Kingston The main event started off with Rhino and Kingston. "The War Machine" used his powerhouse and brawler approach to attempt to slow down "The South African Savior", who was more on his game than ever here tonight. Kofi's flurry of, mostly kicks and chops, staggered the stronger man for quite awhile, until Rhino halted a Springboard Splash with a Gore in mid-air. AJ Styles landed a Springboard Splash to break-up the pin, however, which led to Matt Morgan and Styles brawling for quite a while. Toward the end of the match, Styles and Kingston teamed up to calm the rage of "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan. Morgan tagged out to Rhino before being knocked out of the ring with a Pele Kick/Trouble In Paradise combination. Kofi landed Trouble in Paradise on Rhino as well, allowing Styles to land the Styles Clash on "The Man Beast" for the victory. In a match that had some good action and average heat, AJ Styles and Kofi Kingston defeated Matt Morgan & Rhino in 17:33 when AJ Styles defeated Rhino by pinfall with a Styles Clash. 75 Styles improves Rumble skills, Rhino improves Performance skills.
