Rebooking Nitro's

Recommended Posts

Easy pick: Kevin Sullivan. He has no point being on contract with you, and plus it should really help both your backstage and the mood of the hopefully-not-future-Radicalz!

Though I must say I'm glad Mootinie chose to keep Adams. I always liked the big guy, so I would have been a little bummed to see him get dropped here.

We are one week away from Souled Out, guys, keep predicting. I still waiting for you to get rid of some guys, and the deadline is coming. If somebody wouldn't be thrown off before the PPV, he will stay on the roster...

And to make predictions count, a new reward is settled. User who will correctly pick the most results for 3 upcoming shows (Nitro, Thunder and Souled Out) receives the "creative control" over one WCW active wrestler. Sounds good?

And now, let's preview Nitro!

  • After Madusa did a trick with fake retirement, she also added up an alliance with Berlyn to the mix to completely fool the fans. It is obvious now that all that angle with broken neck was a set up to give Berlyn the title. We don't know what Madusa and Berlyn have in common, but they look like a major threat to the cruiserweight division of WCW.

  • Konnan and Booker T will meet Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit at Souled Out for the vacant WCW tag team championship. Both teams had a lot of obstacles on their way, but now it looks like they overcame them. Eddie and Konnan are best friends, Booker T and Chris Benoit respect each other.

  • Norman Smiley's head slowly turns grey, as Bam Bam Bigelow continues to bully the WCW hardcore champion. It is now well known that Bigelow wants the strap, and wants to get the hands on it only at the PPV. Smiley counts minutes of his title reign already, that's how desperate Norman is.

  • Sid and Meng have a bloody rivalry for God knows what. It all started in the catering, where meng placed the fork in the knee of the vicious one. Couple of days later Sid got his revenge, and his arms were all red. This Monday Sid goes one on one with Crowbar, and it seems two psycho's would tear each other apart.

  • Dustin Rhodes was mistakenly attacked by Jarrett last Thursday. Now "The American Nightmare" wants a match with Double J, and the US title on the top of it.

  • Jim Duggan ended up victorious last week against The Revolution, and "The Franchise" is outraged now. Gossips flow, and it is rumored that Malenko has an evil plan...

  • Upcoming Nitro gonna be a historical one - NWO 2000 challenged Diamond Dallas Page to a 4 on 4 elimination tag match! DDP asked Eddie and Benoit for help already, and it looks like Ric Flair joins the corner of "The People's Champion" too. You don't want to miss that, my friend! Nash will be focused on this one to not look as weak as last two weeks, DDP hinted us that the "Diamond Cutter" is gonna put Bret Hart on the shelf. RAW won't top that!

Official Nitro Match Card:

  1. Crowbar vs. Sid Vicious
  2. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Mike Rotunda
  3. La Parka, Kaz Hayashi and Juventud Guerrera vs. Berlyn and Creative Control
  4. Blue Bloods vs. Booker T and Konnan
  5. Diamond Dallas Page, Ric Flair, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit vs. Kevin Nash, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner and Bret Hart

The nWo need a big win so that they can look great. Because right now, all they look like is a bunch of old guys in nWo shirts who can't get along.

January 2000, Week 3

Mid Atlantic, Dorton Arena (6,256)

Pre-Show

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Reno and Tony Marinara defeated Jungle Jim and Lash LeRoux in 6:33 when Tony Marinara defeated Jungle Jim by submission. 10/100

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Evan Karagias defeated Steve Armstrong in 7:33 by pinfall. 33/100

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, The Mamalukes defeated Lane & Lodi in 5:39 when Big Vito defeated Lodi by pinfall with an Impaler DDT. 29/100

A new anti-record! I wish we will show the opposite in the main event. Today I expect a 76 and more as the final rating.

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/24/d748df7b5840b0092e2123128b4e4024.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/31/fa0ad97ed1705edd9436f95fb0881531.jpghttp://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/c0/9e7cfc9f83b4bf623bf02205d286cac0.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/3e/7ff9dd24c60e7d5279c5bc438d65153e.jpg

DDP breaks the tradition of NWO opening the show. He heads down to the ring with his army for tonight - the finalists of the tag tournament Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. DDP praises his friends, claiming that they can pull off a clean sheet against the bunch of losers NWO are.

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/36/76486c783fe7bd5bfedddb45b4729436.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/93/84cbbe8a6877fd980fed8f3819505093.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/b6/37f8d4124bc1b36619d167559fe0d7b6.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/2e/767f1037ba0bc361b16b845d1c7b742e.jpg

At this moment Bret Hart comes out. The leader of the NWO 2000 says that DDP has no chance, even with those guys backing him up. Hart agrees that Benoit and Eddie are tough nuts to crack, but Steiner and Nash are way tougher. Ric Flair interrupts Hart, just to be cut off by Nash. A lot of swearing and a good old 4 on 4 brawl close this segment. DDP hits a Diamond Cutter on the Jarrett at the end, just to point at "The Hitman" and yell "BANG!". 73/100

Good start, I hope the storyline for tag titles will get a boost after Eddie and Benoit show up in the final match.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Berlyn, Patrick and Gerald defeated Juventud Guerrera and Parka & Kaz in 7:41 when Berlyn defeated Juventud Guerrera by submission with an STF. 44/100

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/95/dfc03f74176849515944bbecdfa31c95.jpg

Piper comes out and ironically calps hands. "Rowdy" says that he just finished napping after Berlyn made a title belt compress for him last week. "Creative Control, huh? Guess who really has that control, chump? ME! At Souled Out that shiny belt comes back to normal life, because Filthy Animlas are gonna get ya!" 53/100

So, Roddy booked Berlyn in a triple threat match for the WCW cruiserweight title against Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman. Low ratings, Piper couldn't save them.

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/6d/85f64e987b4b11cdc2069aa0667be76d.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/bf/6f0514bbae309be26f75188e0ce5e1bf.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/83/19d4e11d48d7d4527f460c5cd6bff683.jpg

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Mike Rotunda in 6:40 by pinfall. 56/100

After the match Bam Bam Bigelow grabs a steel chair and smashes Kevin Sullivan with it so hard, that "The Demonist" and a founder of The Varsity Club falls down cold. Bam Bam addds a brutal piledriver to the mix, sending Norman Smiley a message. To make a statement, Bam Bam puts Sullivan on the announce table and jumps off the ladder, splashing hard. Smiley's "roof" just dropped flat. 47/100

Another squash for Bam Bam, and a decent rating too. Bigelow ends his work with Varsity Club, also ending Kevin Sullivan's career. After this show Kevin gets his last check...

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/2e/e2ca734eaf7a99159f440f772f5ef02e.jpg

Shane Douglas is standing near the american flag, smugging. "The Franchise" cuts a signature promo about how he is the best thing around, how much he hates USA and stupid wash-upped patriots like Jim Duggan.

"This country needs a kick in the ass, and I will deliver it to her!"

After that Shane puts fire on the flag and lifts it up, so everyone nearby the arena can see what "Revolution" is all about. 51/100

Weak promo, expected more from "The Franchise".

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Sid Vicious defeated Crowbar in 8:08 by pinfall with a Power Bomb. 54/100

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/79/6d2186e2ad5b7bc26761c5ffca0d6979.jpg

After the match Meng runs in and attacks Sid with a crowbar! Vicious attack, no doubt about it. Meng chokes Sid with the crowbar for a good minute or two, and it's over for tonight. 64/100

We need those oafs at Souled Out. In a "Readers Bring Weapons" match. C - Z -W style!

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/3a/425030bef6518e80526b37f5581aaa3a.jpghttp://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/de/5a9160f42a816a126fb55779128049de.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/1a/94c20b3ed3f69a744997bd8b9f744b1a.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/44/703880752bbfa737291246bad07be644.jpghttp://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/c3/e369d16f565af6b9fe2f3f23ef8f4dc3.jpg

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Konnan and Booker T defeated The Blue Bloods in 7:32 when Booker T defeated David Taylor by pinfall with a Harlem Hangover. 55/100

Another stinker by Booker and Konnan. I know that they have no chemistry at all, but I do't want to belivev that penalties are harming those two soo much.

Scott Steiner does push ups backstage, with Hart and Nash talk at the background. Jeff Jarrett sits on the bunch with an ice pack on his forehead - the "Diamond Cutter" effect. Nash says he will take on Flair, he wants to powerbomb that pensioner as hard as he can, and he doesn't care if NWo loses or wins tonight. "Hitman" tries to calm "Big Sexy" down, as he's more than confident that DDP's team is not skillful enough. Steiner grabs an ice pack from Jarrett and throws it away.

"DON'T BE A SISSY, JARRETT! GET YOUR ASS UP!"

Jeff is scared, he doesn't want to be knocked out again. NWO leaves the locker room, main event time! 74/100

Better than the first segment! Nash is determined to take out Ric Flair, that's a rivalry in the making!

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/36/76486c783fe7bd5bfedddb45b4729436.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/93/84cbbe8a6877fd980fed8f3819505093.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/b6/37f8d4124bc1b36619d167559fe0d7b6.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/2e/767f1037ba0bc361b16b845d1c7b742e.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/e8/0e3d271b9a3652334882d6dcc22e2de8.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/24/d748df7b5840b0092e2123128b4e4024.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/31/fa0ad97ed1705edd9436f95fb0881531.jpghttp://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/c0/9e7cfc9f83b4bf623bf02205d286cac0.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1130/3e/7ff9dd24c60e7d5279c5bc438d65153e.jpg

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, nWo 2000 (Bret Hart, Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Jeff Jarrett) defeated Diamond Dallas Page, Ric Flair and Eddie & Benoit in 18:47 when Kevin Nash defeated Ric Flair with a Jacknife Powerbomb. 81/100

Yes, another superior main event! How could it be lower than "B"? Imagine if our locker room was OK, momentums were high and Eddie was more popular? "A" at least! Great match.

Final Rating: 73/100 (3.97 on TNT)

Increased popularity in 18 regions, lost in one.

+ 0.1 in TNN rating, oh yeah! After Souled Out we can get 4.0! Bret is pleased with his booking at the moment, DDP is still 80 in momentum. PPV main event is destined to be historical, I believe that DDP can top Flair's performance. Attendance is a huge upset though, expected around 8,000 people. RAW had 18,000 and Rock'n'Sock vs. Triple H/Y2J in the main event.

Sorry, I've been out the loop these late few days. My pick is Leia Meow, I've never heard of him/her...

Her. It actually makes sense. Sullivan is fired, and she was his manager. Anyway, Thunder preview is ready, so I'll post it right now.

  • Norman Smiley is near the end of the nightmare called "hardcore championship". At Souled Out Bam Bam will crush Norman, both sides are sure about it.
  • The final of the "Joker Wild" tag team tournament also will be at the PPV, but both sides will meet at Thunder. "The Crippler" Chris Benoit meets Konnan face to face, while Eddie Guerrero will fight Booker T. Two great matches, you can't say for sure who's gonna win.
  • Vampiro and Dustin Rhodes both want a piece of Jeff Jarrett. Vampiro hates Jarrett for personal reasons, while Rhodes just wants a fair chance to hit the guy back. Both wrestlers square off on Thunder to decide who will fight Double J at the PPV for the US title.
  • Roddy Piper booked Berlyn in a triple threat match against Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman. The cruiserweight title is on the line, but that's not the thing Filthy Animals have to care about right now. The Creative Control and Madusa are the obstacles to overcome, and Thunder is made just for that.
  • Scott Steiner is unhappy with authority figure - Roddy Piper. "Big Poppa Pump" called "Rowdy" a fragile trailer park trash, and all hell broke loose since that bold statement. Steiner wants to get his big arms on Piper, and Roddy wants to show the locker room who is the real boss out there.
  • Nash and Flair both were unlucky for a couple of weeks now, until "Big Sexy" powerbombed "The Nature Boy" last Monday to break his losing streak. Huge ego battle scheduled for Thursday, don't miss that!
  • Last, but not least, a cheesy contract signing between DDP and Bret Hart is gonna end the build up for the January PPV. We all know how beat up "The Hitman" is, so he can ask for the "champion's advantage" against "The Master of The Diamond Cutter". Tune in to find out the lastest details of Souled Out's illustrious main event!

Official Thunder Match Card:

  1. Filthy Animals (Mysterio and Kidman) vs. Creative Control (Gerald and Patrick)
  2. Vampiro vs. Dustin Rhodes
  3. Eddie Guerrero vs. Booker T
  4. Konnan vs. Chris Benoit
  5. Roddy Piper vs. Scott Steiner

Guys, you still can fire somebody from the "black list". Also, keep predicting to get the potential "creative control" over one active roster member. That should be fun!

January 2000, Week 3

Mid West, Duluth Entertainment Center (7,178)

Pre-Show

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Juventud Guerrera defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. in 8:30 by pinfall with a Juvi Driver. 50/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Crowbar defeated Hugh Morrus in 7:47 by pinfall with a Northern Lights Suplex. 44/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Big T and Stevie Ray defeated The Varsity Club in 7:46 when Stevie Ray defeated Mike Rotunda by pinfall. 52/100

I think we did good ratings for the dark part of the show. I look forward to get 75 or more for this one, wish me luck!

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/a9/118adda8e440ecd3d07b852dae493fa9.png

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Vampiro drew with Dustin Rhodes in 7:58 following a double knock out. During the match we saw Scott Steiner run in and attack American Nightmare and Vampiro. 54/100

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/b4/5e0c62503cd03887c5c8e656b1a1e2b4.jpg

Scott Steiner made a huge favour for Jeff Jarrett in this one. He suplexed enough times to knock both guys out! But "Big Bad Booty Daddy" did it for himself...

"Piper, you walk around this place like you are the real deal, but you're just a skirt dressed crazy old whimp!".

Piper obviously has reached his boiling point a couple of minutes ago - Steiner ruined one of his PPV made matches! "Hot Rod" starts a brawl with Steiner, through the crowd, until security guards break it all up.

"I'll see you in the main event, chump!" 59/100

Ugh, was expecting 70. Kicked off the show with a fight straight away - rare. Main event rating is in danger...

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/60/6ac219b37d5b545b93d449add08cb560.png

In a bout that had solid backstage action but not much in the way of heat, Meng defeated Norman Smiley in 5:36 by submission with a Tongan Death Grip. Meng wins the WCW Hardcore title. 44/100

Yeah, it happened. Smiley wasn't expecting Meng to squash him right now, but we changed the champ right before the PPV. That's our first title change in the dynasty?

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/9d/ecfce34181dbf9f9582237b10963669d.jpg

Bam Bam can not believe his hardcore title match is gone. He won't appear on the PPV, he won't beat Norman Smiley, he won't be the champion. Bigelow starts to trash the backstage area, beating some guys to a pulp in the process. 60/100

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/dc/312bbe69f548d9745c6e3bb44e1670dc.jpg

Jim Duggan appears on the Turnertron via sattelite. He jokes about those modern technologies and starts reading a patriotic promo, so people start chanting "USA!".

Hacksaw says that he's aware his best years are gone, but he can't just leave the squared circle, he is not a quitter! He wants his rubber match against The Revolution, and he has some friends, who are at the same phase of career he is right now. Veterans that should go home, but love this buisness so much that they keep coming back! Jimbo says that Terry Funk, Larty Zbyszko and himself call out Malenko, Saturn and Dougals for a war, even if they lose, they'll fight like Real Americans. Obviosuly, the match will take place at Souled Out. 44/100

"Real American" Larry Zbyszko, that's cute.

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/9f/1af97a6416c69b2a0fa0e637f613ad9f.jpghttp://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/59/6c490a9444710a69294b2d84075d7f59.jpg

Duggan's signal is lost... so Berlyn comes out to the podium, with Madusa and "Creative Control". Berlyn says something on german, Madusa translates it with peasure: "Shut. Shut up. You people and your propaganda machine! You should be insulted and afraid. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You always jam your Western Civilization and your so-called democracy down everybody's throats. You are leaderless. Roddy Piper books my leader in a triple threat match against low-lifes like Mysterio and Kidman, what a coward move! At Souled Out, Berlyn will crush you. He will crush each and every single one of you. But today, today Gerald and Patrick would crush those Filthy Animsals!" 42/100

Madusa is not anywhere near Lana, we all know that. Two brown-coloured grades = crap.

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/95/ec8dd0ff24b83c74b5cbd37c43005395.png

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Filthy Animals (Rey & Kidman) defeated Creative Control in 8:05 when Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Patrick by pinfall with a Springboard Huracarrana. 55/100

"Homies, soon we will be sinking in dinero!". Konnan praises Rey and Billy, then swithcing to Eddie, who is lacing his boots.

"Not all of us would be the champions after Souled Out, holmes. And I'm not going to just hand you over my spot, ese.". Eddie leaves the locker room, he is going against Booker T tonight. Konnan says smth abrupt on spanish, what an international roster we have! 50/100

Mexicans in the Mid West - only in WCW!

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/4d/08dc2356109ca9ef62e2d96b86b65b4d.png

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Booker T defeated Eddie Guerrero in 7:55 by pinfall with a Missile Dropkick. During the match we also had Konnan run in and attack Eddie. 69/100

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/21/523787eeae25db6d80ee10b0746dbc21.png

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Chris Benoit defeated Konnan in 7:41 by pinfall with a Diving Headbutt. During the match we also had Eddie Guerrero run in and attack Konnan. 70/100

Two matches in a row, that's like a tag match without partners. *Stoned Logic*

Roddy Piper had an interview hyping his upcoming singles match with Scott Steiner. "Hot Rod" looked angry during that one, he's ready for the battle. 56/100

Meh, another "orange". Rod is not so Hot.

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/d4/87f84b1d3d7d8ae0b5d4f52cb33b93d4.png

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Scott Steiner defeated Roddy Piper in 10:12 by submission. 68/100

Horrendous. That's the lowest grade for the last match since we started. Maybe a contract signing could help?

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/03/475d0a4060b7bf4a505db02a2dab5803.jpghttp://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/bb/61ba67bebcec5bae34dfe099d8ba46bb.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/85/b9beb807eeb80bfd2b8ec8afafba4a85.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1202/f1/a2c63f91cb226e30b40af2b80dea21f1.jpg

Contract signing starts with "Hitman" and DDP making elaborate entrances, with Kevin Nash and Ric Flair following them respectfully. Hart puts his world title on the table as Bobby "The Brain" enters the ring and mini-interviews both men.

DDP, as a challenger, speaks first. Page wants nobody from NWO at the ringside, so dirty tricks could be off the main event. Hart says he doesn't like run ins too, so he accepts the stipulation on one condition. DDP is willing to listen, Bret starts talking about the concussion he had a few weeks ago... it al results in a tricky request: if Page won't use "The Diamond Cutter" in the match, nobody will interfere. DDP starts laughing, says that's pure BS. Hart says that he can use it, but only if Nash will be a special guest referee in that bout. DDP says no, but Hart parries with: "Piper is out. If I won't put the sign on this contract - no match for you, buddy. DDP asks Flair for advise, and "The Nature Boy" has an idea.

"How 'bout you Nash, giving me a rematch at the PPV? You win - you can referee all you want, but if I win - you better stay away from this two."

Nash smugs, he says he's down with that. Bret Hart is not so sure, and he shows his irritation. "Big Sexy" mentions that, but his ego is far bigger than his camaraderie with the champion, he is willing to put Hart in jeopardy just to get a fat paycheck.

Hart: "That's not your contract signing, Kevin!"

DDP: "C'mon Hitman, I'm willing to step in the ring without "Diamond Cutter" and with Nash in it, are you kidding me?"

Flair starts taunting Bret, but at that exact moment Hart signs up. DDP adds his signature and a Diamond Cutter through the table!!! Nash and Flair leave the ring, brawling, as DDP poses with the big gold belt. 72/100

Highest rating of the show, still disappointing. Gonna fix all those at Souled Out, that's for sure.

Final Rating: 68/100 (2.64 on TBS)

Yeah, worst show so far. Rankings for "creative control":

  1. Beejus - 9
  2. Uncrewed - 9
  3. Warhawk8492 - 7
  4. Mootinie - 4

Souled Out will determine the winner, so don't miss the third round of predictions!

So, let's preview our first dynasty PPV! Souled Out is coming, and we have a couple of promising matches on the card. So promising, I really expect to put 80+ show. Show will be held in South East for sure, I already can promise you 20 thousand people sitting in the arena. Let's have a look on the card.

Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Berlyn © vs. Billy Kidman

WCW Cruiserweight Championship triple threat match

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/0b/a420f98c3baead3fc1d1fe4602189c0b.jpg

Rey is a favorite in this one, Billy could really help his gang brother to win his sixth cruiserweight title, but also could try to grab that title the third time for himself. Berlyn has a "wall", even two: Gerald and Patrick. That should be enough to guarantee the successful title defence, but it's all about high risk maneuvers, and you can't predict any of them in those kind of matches. Madusa and Torrie Wilson probably could clash at the ringside, a little catfight won't harm to anyone!

Jim Duggan, Terry Funk and Larry Zbyzsko vs. Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Shane Douglas

3 on 3 tag team match

A lot of people, but we can not expect a lot of action from them. Everybody expects a mat style contest, maybe a little brawl before the match even starts. The favorites clearly are "revolutioners", each of them stands out in terms of in-ring skill and is hungry as a wolf. Funk can bring some hardcore flavour to the bout - he is the toughest man from his team. Larry is a great strategist, can talk and manipulate opponents, while Duggan's heart may be bigger than WCW.

Sid Vicious vs. Meng ©

WCW Hardcore Championship match

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/93/e552331f48d90bb13c36b29ffc6aea93.jpg

No doubt those two will collide at Souled Out. Sid couldn't make it to Thunder, but is already warming up a bloody bath for Meng. Bad knee is something that can stop Sid from winning the title, but excluding that - he is the favorite.

Lex and Buff vs. Kanyon and Sanders vs. Disco Cats vs. Tank & Train

"Second Chance" 4-way tag team elimination match

Commissioner Roddy Piper couldn't announce that as our bonus match for the pay-per-view. It is likely that one of those teams will have a title match against our new WCW tag team champions. All four teams are grateful for the opportunity, and could deliver a good fight.

Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit vs. Booker T and Konnan

WCW Tag Team Championships match

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/d1/c0bb3cef81089d0006eaa40a3f690dd1.jpg

"Joker Wild" tournament ends here, tag titles are the grand prizes. The x-factor of the bout is Eddie's tensions with Konnan. "Filthy Animals" won't lay down easily, you gotta beat them to the pulp first. Booker and Benoit have a long, decorated history, and it will continue at Souled Out!

Ric Flair vs. Kevin Nash

Winner referees the main event match

Nash already broke his unlucky record, but Flair only looks to turn his momentum back on the track. Veteran Ric is smaller in size, but his experience and "dirty tactics" could make him a referee. Nash is confident and ready for a fight, that's a good sign for Bret Hart, as he doesn't want to meet "The Nature Boy" in his match.

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Bret Hart ©

World Heavyweight Championship match

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/82/c28f29ddd9b10e958be5df0f0a872582.jpg

Sharpshooter vs. ??? That's all you have to know about this match - DDP is not allowed to use his own finisher on "The Hitman". DDP used it at the contract signing though, so the champion could be soften up already. Hart claimed that DDP is not a match for him, so that's gonna be an easy one. Title on the line, and a lot of pride too. Flair or Nash, it doesn't matter, because at the end we will have only one WCW world heavyweight champion!

Smellness Dissension? Kidman would put Rey Rey over really well.

Jim Duggan, Terry Funk and Larry Zbyzsko vs. Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Shane Douglas

No way the old guys take this one, they are here to put over the revolution.

Sid Vicious vs. Meng ©

Champ retains, only to drop soon to a younger competitor. Not sure who is older, Meng or Sid at this point.

Lex and Buff vs. Kanyon and Sanders vs. Disco Cats vs. Tank & Train

Have to think Lex and Buff are the most experienced and the most over...

Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit vs. Booker T and Konnan

WCW Tag Team Championships match

Have to go with Eddie and Chris in this match with Booker and Konnan having bad chemistry

Ric Flair vs. Kevin Nash

Stips matter, so the winner here will aid the winner in the ME.

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Bret Hart ©

Bret getting screwjobbed? Sure, it won't make the in-game ratings much better, but it will kayfabe make for a good story, and the nWo established guys like The Hitman are a bit stale at this point.

January 2000, Week 3

South East, Rupp Arena (23,500)

A huge promo pack, announcers hype tonight's pay-per-view, and discuss some "hot" topics. Shiavone then says that cruiserweights will kick off the action for tonight, and it's starting right now!

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/86/b1aada55817200caa920834c602b2f86.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/78/29f3514a53a06bfb638d1856390b0f78.jpghttp://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/07/7de56a9e2905d69b4f23dab376b8f107.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/78/29f3514a53a06bfb638d1856390b0f78.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/ed/d1070b8b995faee7c833109bf98349ed.jpg

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Berlyn defeated Rey Misterio Jr. and Billy Kidman in 12:39 when Berlyn defeated Billy Kidman by pinfall. Berlyn makes defence number 1 of his WCW Cruiserweight title. 60/100

We kicked things off good, Rey and Billy had a pretty long argument after the match. Kidman broke the pin after West Coast Pop maneuver, which could make Rey a champion. Champion retains, his stooges eated a lot of spingboard attacks this evening. Madusa helped Berlyn a lot, she distracted Kidman, assaulting Torrie Wilson. Berlyn just had to roll up his opponent, and he did just that. Rey is angry now, my bad.

NWO limo is packed tonight - all four men are here! Steiner and Jarrett, who are not on the card agian, gloat about the power of the NWO, how they will break the show for Piper and so on. 66/100

The Revolution cuts a promo backstage, but in fact only Shane Dougals is talking. He mocks the "Pensioner Club" of Zbyzsko, Funk and Duggan, claiming that they will send Hacksaw home with his stick right up his ass! 60/100

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, The Revolution (Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn and Shane Douglas) defeated Jim Duggan, Terry Funk and Larry Zbyszko in 11:59 when Shane Douglas defeated Terry Funk by pinfall with a Franchiser. 62/100

After the match Jim thanked his team, hugging Terry and Larry. He then left the ring to shake the hands of all those people in the first rows, also bowing to all those who prefered a more "shy" ticket. Funk and Zbyzsko raised the hands of Hacksaw on the ramp, it looks like it was his final match for WCW...

A video plays hyping Bret Hart vs. Diamond Dallas Page. Stipulations explained, footage rolled. Hart is focused as always, DDP wishes Ric Flair luck in his match. Same goes to "The Master of the Diamond Cutter" 79/100

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Sid Vicious defeated Meng in 13:13 by pinfall with a Chokeslam. Sid Vicious wins the WCW Hardcore title. 58/100

Sid attacked Meng with a jack-screw, what a crazy man he is. I have to give Meng some credit though, he fought well after a potential concussion. More brawls to come in the future!

Kevin Nash has an interview, in which he goes off on a rant about how much he hates Ric Flair, how overrated he is, and how dumb he is to put himself against 6' 11" dude with bad intensions. Also Nash says "hello" to Piper, recommendes to watch the next match closely! 77/100

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett defeated Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger, The Cat and Disco Inferno and Ice Train and Tank Abbott in 13:36; the order of elimination was Ice Train and Tank Abbott first, then The Cat and Disco Inferno, and finally Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger. 62/100

Steiner and Jarrett attacked Kanyon and Sanders before the match, eliminating him from the bout. Who inserted them in the match? They did it! After the match NWO members spray paint "NWO" on Cat's back.

Four of the biggest WCW prospects face off in a title match next, Konnan was asked some questions by "Mean Gene", but ignored Okerlund and gave kidman a cuff on the nape for his selfish attitude in a triple threat match. Rey is nowhere to be seen, he must be really pissed off. Filthy Animals are in the foul mood. 62/100

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/5c/d8bf18ec8f38beb0fb6bf24add54515c.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/17/5f2fa84435783ba6d18d7e01381c7f17.jpghttp://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/a5/02e410214f8cc52d6ee510a9fb7a2da5.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/91/0027c82a6fde998a800127e5d56a7491.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/8f/6659d858160c1cc0567c5724a8e3978f.jpg

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Eddie & Benoit defeated Booker T and Konnan in 17:41 when Eddie Guerrero defeated Konnan by pinfall with a Frog Splash. Eddie & Benoit win the WCW World Tag Team titles. 63/100

Eddie and Chris are the new champions, both were extremelly happy to get the titles. Can't say the same about Konnan, he hated the storyline and did nothing special in this one to put the faces over.

Ric Flair had an interview in which he taunted Kevin Nash. "The Nature Boy" said the following:

"NWO! They have no passion! No guts! You want all the money, you want all the glory, you wanna fly first class… You don’t deserve it! You haven't worked for it! You haven't bled, sweat and paid the price to be here. THAT's what’s driving me crazy! I'm walking around trying to figure out why GUYS LIKE YOU are taking all the spots? YEAH! I've been here forever and I'm gonna work my ass off to stay here." 73/100

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/f2/bd08da48f6f82cfefa0a7f3c7b0cc8f2.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/fd/4709b70013c96065771ddc1f4e4544fd.jpghttp://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/8c/cc53ce26220451a0fade6f87b47d3c8c.jpg

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Ric Flair defeated Kevin Nash in 12:34 by submission with a Figure-Four Leg Lock. 77/100

Bad quads are bad, "Big Daddy Cool" couldn't do anything dangerous after Flair attacked his knees with his signature maneuver. Flair is back on the track, WOO! And he will referee the main event!

S. Steiner and Jarrett and Eddie & Benoit are argiung backstage, and all four of them start brawling. A host of road agents and staff have to pull them apart. They really think they have what it takes to mess with new WCW tag team champions. Imagine the matches those four could produce! 57/100

DDP makes his entrance, popping the crowd! Self High Five warms up the crowd for the main match of the night. Bret Hart makes a spectacular over-the-top entrance, with a title belt on his shoulder, with this theme playing in the background:

69/100

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/7d/d4bae932683807a595da059b936c4d7d.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/67/a3506832bd0b9147bce97c1c51f83b67.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1203/56/3ea7d00a9b88d20c639c89ad7c63df56.jpg

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Bret Hart defeated Diamond Dallas Page in 22:36 by pinfall with a Piledriver, Bret Hart makes defence number 1 of his WCW World Heavyweight title. Ric flair had no choise but to hand the world heavyweight title over to "The Hitman" 80/100

Hitman is cool as always, no emotions on the face of the champion. He retained the title clearly, that caught the fans by surprise. Everyone expected a swerve, a ton of run ins, dirty tricks, but it all ended up purely. "The Master of the Sharpshooter" used Piledriver to become the winner, that's the biggest twist in this story! 75/100

Final Rating: 78/100

Increased our popularity in 39 regions.

Buyrate: 2.28

I think we did not so bad. Main event had a pretty good chemistry between competitos, that surely liftd the final grade. All matches were good, with Sid-Meng beign the worst one. They'll have more matches, so 58 for a lowest rated match on a regular ppv is not too bad.

Franchise Players

  • Bret "The Hitman" Hart, our world heavyweight champion had a solid month. Sure, he had some misunderstandings with Kevin Nash, but was able to pull off an impressive match against Ric Flair and a confident title defense from Diamond Dallas Page. 3 wins in 3 matches, Bret rides the momentum of 77 right now, in addition to 81 popularity in US. Bret lost some flashiness, but he doesn't need it with his style, so everything is great for the #1 guy in WCW.

  • DDP had a very interesting month too. He won 3 times but lost twice, yet his popularity raised a little bit. His victory over Scott Steiner at Thunder and a good showdown against "The Hitman" did a lot to make "The Master of the Diamond Cutter" hot in January. Clear defeat at the ppv made DDP's momentum somewhere near C+, but it's not over for "The People's Champion" yet.

  • Ric Flair is an example on how to deliver promos and matches. His all-time classic bout against Bret is the highest rated match in January and in this save. Bad thing about "The Nature Boy" is his popularity, it decreased by 3 points now. We should book Ric stronger, even if he's 50. Right now he's the hottest thing in WCW - with 85 in momentum.

  • Kevin Nash lost popularity too, he lost 3 matches after all, one of them on the ppv against a pretty old man. 65 in momentum, "Big Sexy" is outraged with the state of his career in kayfabe, which is better than to have an angry 7 feet guy. Bad month for Nash, maybe he can turn it all around the following weeks?

  • Maybe one of our hottest heels, Scott Steiner, is doing pretty good. Even with commissioner Piper, who keeps him away from the top, "Big Poppa Pump" delivered 4 wins and a lot of memorable angles. +1 in US popularity and 72 in momentum make Steiner a threat to everybody who stands in his way.

  • Jeff Jarrett, due to his minor injury, avoided a lot of high-profile matches, but be sure that he will have them in February! Current US champion had 2 multi-sided matches, and did well in both. Piper will focus on NWo, so title defenses are coming for the guy with a guitar.

  • Chris Benoit scored 5 wins and 2 loses after 3 weeks of tag team action. He won the WCW tag team championships, and to do that he made a lot people tap out. The dark side of the medal is that Chris had a lot of matches that were around 60-70 rating. We know "The Crippler" can do a lot more than this, so February will be a test for him.

  • Eddie Guerrero threw his name in the hat and won the gold at the end, that was a successfull month for Eddie! In terms of personal realtionships, Guerrero did not so good, falling out with Konnan and leaving Rey and Billy out of the spotlight. 4-3 for the record, no momentum or popularity changes yet.

  • Meng did a lot of bloody work, and had a hardcore title on his shoulder for a couple of days, his edgy feud with Sid Vicious continues. Barbarian lost a couple of points in overness, but consistently good in skits and matches.

  • Sid is a current hardcore champion, he payed his dues to get that strap. With a bad knee and not so good neck, Vicious looks to become the craziest SOB WCW had ever seen, with freaks like Terry Funk and Bam Bam Bigelow beign still active.

  • Lex Luger had a dissapointing run so far, beign lazy and unmotivated in his matches. He had a second chance match, but blew it away. "The Total Package" wants a lot more than he has in his plate right now, and with Buff around it's not gonna happen.

  • Buff, on the other hand, likes where his carrer is going. Beign positive makes your life better, you know. Bagwell suffered 3 defeats, but has a big times coming at him. Also, "Buff Daddy" likes to be around Elizabeth, but who doesn't?

  • Booker T wanted his big opportunity, and he will get it very soon. Claiming that Stevie Ray was a dead weight, Booker did a lot better indeed. The finals of the "Joker Wild" tournament, 4 wins with only 1 defeat and a lot of progress in-ring make this guy a potential candidate for the top of the hill named WCW.

  • Konnan did his part in destroying the freindly atmosphere between the "Filthy Animals", hot mexican blood and big ego costed Konnan everything he had in WCW. Also he was demotivated last month, pulling off some conflicts backstage too. He made it to the pay-per-view, but right now he has not a very bright future awaiting him around the corner.

So, I did some work backstage, and "wham!" - our morale is 81%! That's +30% from last week. I hope it will help us with ratings, because that penalty pissed me off for 3 straight weeks.

First Nitro after the pay-per-view and last Nitro in January. Let's preview it!

  • Berlyn defended his cruiserweight title against two "Filthy Animals", but on Monday he will align with "The Revolution" to take on Jim Duggan, Terry Funk and Varsity Club! Huge four on four situation can start a new feud or continue the existing ones.

  • Bam Bam Bigelow missed Souled Out because Norman Smiley lost his title to Meng on a TV-show. "Beast from the East" finally meets Norman in one-on-one match, so we can decide who the rightful number one contender is!

  • New WCW tag team champions decided to give some teams a chance to show themselves. First in line - Blue Bloods! Steven Regal and David Taylor are amazing in-ring performers, so we can expect a top-notch bout from the best technicians on our roster.

  • Jeff Jarrett skipped his title defence at Souled Out just to insert himself in another title picture - for the mentioned above WCW tag team championships. Roddy Piper, as a commissioner, punishes "Slap Nuts" on Nitro. Triple threat match against Vampiro and Dustin Rhodes is confirmed. US title is on the line too, so Jarrett has a lot of problems to deal with.

  • "Joker Wild" tag team tournament was a disappointment for a couple of guys in the back. Lazy, unmotivated Lex Luger couldn't show his strengths in a "second chance" match, so Booker challenges him to a fight on Nitro, because he is willing to get his second chance himself, without assists. Konnan, Stevie Ray and Big T want Booker to fail, so "The Total Package" is the favorite.

  • Place in the main event goes to the teams of Kevin Nash & Bret Hart and DDP & Ric Flair. NWO 2000 meet DDP and Ric Flair at what looks like the last match between the four. We don't know how good Nash and Hart will behave to each other, but we're damn sure that Ric Flair and DDP have some tensions between them too, because DDP was unsuccessful in his championship challenge. He blames Ric for not beign too helpful as a referee, "The Nature Boy" surely made some mistakes in that striped shirt. The good news for "The People's Champ" is that his finisher is back, beware of "The Diamond Cutter"!

Official Nitro Match Card:

  1. Berlyn and The Revoltion vs. Terry Funk, Jim Duggan and The Varsity Club
  2. Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Norman Smiley
  3. Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit vs. The Blue Bloods
  4. Lex Luger vs. Booker T
  5. Ric Flair and Diamond Dallas Page vs. Kevin Nash and Bret Hart
