What's going on in your game?

<p>Hogan has screwed up everything! I ran the royal rumble and had him win the WWF title. Next day he hands in his notice. Even after I kissed his ass after the show. </p><p> </p><p>

So what now? Have him lose the title on Raw? Have my biggest Wrestlemania main event yet be on Raw? Nooooooo. And that doesn't really work since the Rumble winner gets the Wrestlemania title shot. </p><p> </p><p>

Can't explain how upset I am at what has happened here. Austin vs Hogan was going to be special. Austin taking over the industry in 1994. Now we have no Hogan to put him over. Mr 100* pop everywhere, well, most places. </p><p> </p><p>

I am tempted to cheat, I can't lie. Game recovery could solve things. Have Bret retain and turn heel? Can we say let's bring Bobby Ewing back from the dead. That is just not going to work. Bret is no heel at this stage of the game. He was all set to lose to Owen in the Wrestlemania opener. Follow that! </p><p> </p><p>

To conclude this rambling mess. I did game recovery and have to book the Rumble over again. Here is what I am going to do. Hogan is not even appearing, so Piper steps in to challenge Bret Hart. We never did get the Bret vs Piper match in my world. It kind of makes sense. Can say Hogan is lost in Cleveland. </p><p> </p><p>

One last thought. King Brian Pillman never got the WWF title shot he was promised after he won the king of the ring. I've got it. The Wrestlemania 10 main event will be the Hollywood Blonds against each other. Yes, King Brian wins the WWF title at Royal Rumble. </p><p> </p><p>

Not Hogan vs Austin, but not too bad. Their previous 1v1 draw got me in the 90s rating.</p><p> </p><p>

Pillman is no bum.</p><p>

<p>Ever get that feeling that the idea you were forced to use is even better than what you had planned? I'm starting to dig the Hollywood Blonds as the Wrestlemania main event.</p><p> </p><p>

Bret has his not so subtle excuses ready after the defeat to Pillman. ''I trained for Hulk Hogan, not for a guy that could actually move.'' Oh, shots fired!</p><p> </p><p>

Now we have to write Hogan out of WWF. I usually do Raw every 2 weeks ( if you read my posts, you know this. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> ) but I'm going to do 2 in a row so I can get 2 weeks out of Hogan leaving the company. Just putting Hogan and Austin out of my mind. Undertaker pop has fallen to upper mid, no idea how I let that happen. He has been gone for 5 months. Undertaker beats Hogan, puts him in a bodybag and then drives him off. Sounds good to me.</p><p> </p><p>

Wresrtlemania 10 will look like this. </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

WWF title</strong>: Pillman vs Austin</p><p>

The Hollywood Blonds headlining. I might just put Wrestlemania 10 in Hollywood instead of MSG. </p><p> </p><p>

Savage vs Michaels. Michaels to get the biggest win of his career so far. As long as he keeps his nose clean and doesn't leave me before that, etc. Savage is finally on the decline list. </p><p> </p><p>

Bret Hart vs Owen Hart</p><p>

This will open the show and Owen will win. Bret to take a three month vacation afterwards. </p><p> </p><p>

Mr Perfect vs The Gambler</p><p>

(Gambler has been losing money on Perfect and he recently got involved in one of his matches)</p><p> </p><p>

Rob Van Dam vs The Ultimate Warrior (RVD challenged Warrior and Warrior was happy to accept. RVD IC title will be on the line. Face vs face. </p><p> </p><p>

Razor Ramon&Marty Jannetty vs Roddy Piper&Kid Waltman</p><p>

Ramon recently turned face. In Hogan's last act as boss of power, he said Razor was weak and had him take a beating. This happened after 2 losses in a row to RVD and Bret Hart. </p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Tag titles</strong>: Royal Flush vs Bates Motel </p><p>

Bates Motel have now transformed. Al Snow has head and Cactus is now the deranged Mankind. I smell a title change here. Have a nice day. Royal Flush still have another year left in them, but I think the time is right to give Bates Motel a chance.</p><p>

</p><p><strong>

Jr heavyweight title: </strong>2 Cold Scorpio vs Juventud Guerrera vs Rey Mysterio Jr.</p><p>

Ladder match is coming to Wrestlemania 10</p><p> </p><p>

The Undertaker vs Darkside (Brian Lee) in a casket match. </p><p>

Darkside won their previous encounter at Summerslam. I wouldn't bet against the Deadman, but hard to bet against Darkside either. He is unbeaten. So many locals fed lol. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>TV title</strong>: Hunter Warburg vs Raven vs White Meat Bagwell vs Dean Malenko </p><p>

White Meat Bagwell is Vince protege, so I imagine brownie points for putting him on the card. Dean Malenko has left the Jr heavyweight division. Thinking I will go with Raven</p><p> </p><p>

Pre show: Harlem Heat vs Slop Drop</p><p> </p><p>

Hogan has joined WCW in 1994. Some things are just meant to be, I guess. In this world, WWF are better prepared to deal with post Hogan. WCW will now be competing with WWF and CMLL for USA dominance. As long as WWF are around, CMLL and WCW will always be fighting for second best...</p>

<p>Argh! I finally dragged 4C up to Cult level, primarily on the back of Spencer Spade who was churning out 70+ rated matches and 90 rated angles.</p><p> </p><p>

I was all set to settle into the Cult level - raised production values, signed a better ref and road agent...and then NOTBPW came along and stole pretty much all my main eventers after they rose to National.</p><p> </p><p>

Seriously, Spade, Chris Flynn, Ozzie Golden, Frankie Dee, Hugh de Aske and Lassana Makutsi, all gone in a week.</p><p> </p><p>

The one saving grace is that I managed to sign Garry The Entertainer and Nathaniel Ca$ino to written deals before NOTBPW swooped, but I'm not left with much at all.</p>

<p>I didn't screenshot it as it happened during one of my Multi-Advances to my TV show, but Champagne Lover's prostitutes use was revealed.I really think it's hardcoded he will be caught in a scandal <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

If I send him to one of my dev companies I still get hit with penalties? That's some B pop. and High B's ~ High A's of skill just waiting to be poached from the indy scene here.</p><p> </p><p>

EDIT:He thinks I'm too small.Ok then you fool, good luck making a living for one year, you were paid less than Axxis Jr. in SOTBPW anyway.</p>

<p>Really proud of this card. Only an average rating [b/77] but a lot of great talents booked on it. <p>WCW offering over 100k a week for Roddy Piper. See you later, Roddy. Enjoy the money. I recently got an email saying he had become flabby, losing a lot of star quality, obviously he still has the other entertainment skills, but no great loss. </p><p> </p><p>

Power is definitely at an end now. Hogan gone, Austin turned face, Razor turned face and Piper soon to leave. He hasn't accepted the offer yet, but I know he will. He can now lose to Razor Ramon on Raw.</p><p> </p><p>

Shane Douglas is back in. I remember at the start of this game and the dreams for a lifeguard gimmick. I was even thinking of a stable called Baywatch. His heel/face stats made it hard to do. Shane did not last long during his first run, but this is his second chance, 2 years later. </p><p> </p><p>

He will come in with a high society (cocky) gimmick and team with....... Hunter Warburg. Wow.</p><p> </p><p>

Bully Ray is also coming in. There will be no Dudleyz in my world. Going a bit outside the box here, Marvel is coming to WWF! Well, not really. What I'm doing here is bringing Bubba in as ''Frank Castle/the Punisher'' no anti hero status, just a heel version. I was really impressed with the Frank Castle on season 2 of Daredevil, so here we are. His first act will be a brutal attack on Bret Hart on the Raw following Wrestlemania. This will write Bret out for a while like I always planned to do. Instant cred for The Punisher. I see good things here.</p>

<p>Another year, another tournament. Given that I had to top last years', I was sort of at a loss (besides adding 4 more people and another night to the tournament) until Bryan Vessey died at the top of TCW shortly after I signed Cameron Vessey up from USPW.</p><p> </p><p>

Cameron dedicated 'his tournament win' to Larry, and for a while it seemed like he might actually do it... Won his first two matches over established main event guys, but went on a losing streak afterword. I feel like I booked it all-around much better this time, though, as everyone involved was elevated like crazy. Mainstream Hernandez had a losing record, and yet he's one of the most popular guys in my company now.</p><p> </p><p>

<img alt="14fc9c26ae128ea5b8386cd0c131375c.png" data-src="https://i.gyazo.com/14fc9c26ae128ea5b8386cd0c131375c.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Spencer Spade and Hawkins advanced from their respective group stages, Ross Henry was once again a Bridesmaid and not a Bride, and Champagne Lover (my figurehead) got screwed out of advancing out when a salty heel he beat in the previous round ran in and attacked... his opponent, DQing him out of top tournament contention. I sort of feel like this was a stroke of genius, as it made a good feud and protected Champagne while allowing me to advance Spencer Spade without jobbing him out clean.</p><p> </p><p>

After this, I'm doing a brand split, and the tournament will be the only time when you get to see some of these matches in order to make it more special. I'm just waiting for my current TV deal to run out so I can switch everything over to my Network (An 80mil investment...) to run a Brand Split to make the workload easier on my guys and hopefully boost my popularity up to Global so this Local to Global save is done.</p><p> </p><p>

Ah, and some screenshots of the tournaments... I'll link most of these, except the final, as not to spam the thread up with 10 straight screenshots.</p><p> </p><p>

Spencer Spade got hit with some inconsistency, and they were both fatigued so it wasn't quite a 100 on the last match. Fast forward a month and I've put the title on Spade after he beat Chord-- who's behavioral problems were getting so problematic that keeping the title on him was a liability-- as he has 100 SQ despite his middling performance skills. He can put on good matches and is a big money draw, so I'll keep it on him for a while.</p><p> </p><p>

... I'm thinking of giving Mainstream the suit alt, and putting him under Jimmy Hernandez, and having him do a Summer of Punk esque run where he threatens to go to USPW or SOTBPW with the title. He went 3-6 in the tournament, but his overness shot up 10+ points in all areas of the US in the process. He's 92-98 in the US, and has 100 SQ too. Not entirely sure how he got that over, but I gotta embrace it somehow.</p>

<p>presently halfway through booking the expanded Rip Chord Invitational with a few surprises for the big event. Match ratings have been way better as a whole despite the expanded field. At least 5 matches so far better than the best from the prior year.</p><p> </p><p>

End of year I had 3 in the top 100 (I'm still regional) and about 50+ people to appear overall in the rankings.</p><p> </p><p>

The Big news item is that, for reasons I'm not entirely clear on, despite being #1 in the world, USPW dropped to cult and lost their TV deal. I've been stealing a few of their guys, might actually get to keep them if I can make it to cult in time.</p><p> </p><p>

Major free agent acquisitions in the past year include DWN, Masked Cougar, Darryl Devine, Robert Peak (a TCW grad who I stole immediately) and I have one more from USPW awaiting debut....</p><p> </p><p>

I've also pushed one ref into the 80s, one into the 90s, and the others remain stubbornly at 64 and 69/70</p><p> </p><p>

I also noticed that I made an error that was costing me 50K/month and corrected it. Since I'm doing fine moneywise, I funded the companies in the red to help prevent bankruptcy. To give myself something from the deal I added a few points all around to bryan holmes as he is in time decline and I'd hoped to find some use for him given that he was my first champ. So far, no luck; he's getting terrible match ratings.</p>

<p>A couple of days ago I put a post about how I got my first 100 show in a Network special in Japan. Well I've just done Wrestlemania 34 and I got another 100 rating show. I expected a good show but this delivered so well.</p><p>

<span>http://imgur.com/a/MEbd1</span></p><p>

I'm going to explain how this happened for anyone interested. So the main event was Shinsuke Nakamura who has held the title since Wrestlemania 33 when he won the title against AJ Styles and CM Punk in a triple threat match against Daniel Bryan who after being attacked by Nakamura therefore unable to be Raw's GM anymore went against the doctor's orders and entered the Royal Rumble which he won and he would go on to face Shinsuke in a retirement match for the WHC with the loser never able to compete in the WWE again. Shinsuke retained and Daniel is finally properly retired and is going to be a colour commentator on Smackdown.</p><p>

Hiroshi Tanahashi became WWE Champion on his debut in January when he defeat Cole (Drew) Galloway for the title and he disrespected the belt and all of his opponents. Up steps John Cena who is all about that respect and he finally claims his 16th world title.</p><p>

Randy Orton finally ended Ziggler's amazing Intercontinental Title run and it got a 100 which was match of the night as they had excellent chemistry and Ziggler had 100 pop everywhere while Orton was in the 90's.</p><p>

Shane Erkan is a guy I don't know much about but it's Cash Money Erkan and I signed him to NXT where he grew extremelly well and was even NXT Champion so on his debut at the Royal Rumble he beat Owens in a non title match, at Fastlane Owens cheated to beat him but finally Erkan became champ at Mania'.</p><p>

Bulletproof right now for me is Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson but Ambrose and Shelton Benjamin used to be a part of the group. Dean left Bulletproof at Survivor Series and after his match at Elimination Chamber in December he was beaten down by Finn and AJ before Seth (Bulletproof's main target) came to make the save. They feuded for a couple of months but Bulletproof always had too many numbers so at Mania' Dean and Seth were going to get a partner and face Finn, AJ and Karl and their partner was of course Roman Reigns and The Shield are back together. The other matches were just feuds but that Nia Jax/Bayley match is insane for women.</p><p>

Also i got this message: <span>http://imgur.com/a/wEm5a</span>#</p><p>

Which absolutely sucks because they were going to semi main event Wrestlemania 35 behind Roman Reigns retiring The Rock in the Main Event.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway that was extremelly long but I hope you guys enjoyed.</p>

<p>What we learned at Wrestlemania 10. Sugar Shane Helms became a Rapper. I just love booking rappers and this time, Helms gets the gig. Suge Knight wants to sign him, apparently. I might have booked him as a rapper before in a previous life. Hard to remember every game. Hard to remember anything I'm not doing right now. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

The card is not in order here. </p><p> </p><p>

Dennis Knight won a pre show battle royal to earn shot at TV champion on Raw. Knight and Canterbury recently turned face. </p><p> </p><p>

Raven won the TV title in a four way with Hunter, Dean Malenko and Sugar Shane. This got 83. Raven has risen to upper midcard and Hunter will move into a tag team feud against Royal Flush. His partner will be Shane Douglas. I have not came up with a name yet. </p><p> </p><p>

Razor Ramon beat Kid Waltman. 80 I gave them 10 minutes and a win for Razor. Have to establish the main event scene and Razor will be part of it now. Kid will be a challenger in the Jr Heavyweight divsion. </p><p> </p><p>

WCW didn't actually go in for Flair when I let him go. They did, but then they pulled out. I dropped out of my negotiation with him, so now waiting the six months. Love to do him vs Shawn earlier on. </p><p> </p><p>

Undertaker and Darkside had a lame 78 in their casket match rematch. Early Undertaker matches at Wrestlemania not getting the job done. I will make sure to give him better opposition next year. </p><p> </p><p>

Warrior and RVD have great chemistry. I'm happy about this, they have been in many segments together and their face vs face got 80. 10 minute intentional count out loss for RVD. You have to watch Raw to find out why RVD would use such a shady tactic. </p><p> </p><p>

Bret vs Owen did have the ultimate opener. 97 lol yes, follow that. What a way to end their story. Owen will now move on to title contention and Bret will leave for a few months. Going to do that Frank Castle angle I posted about earlier. Vince took Bubba under his wing, so now has Bubba/Castle Dennis Knight and Bagwell as protege's. </p><p> </p><p>

Perfect and The Gambler had the task of following it. They had a 'decent' 75. Throwaway match that Perfect won. </p><p> </p><p>

The three way ladder match with Mysterio, Juventud and 2 Cold Scorpio has been rated as a dud. Meltzer is so disappointed. He was hyping it up big and it got a lame 67. Was expecting better. Maybe the world is not ready for it. Sad way for Mysterio to win Jr Heavyweight title. Lowering the title prestige. It will be cool, he will rebound. </p><p> </p><p>

Shawn and Savage turned it on. This was the match before the semi main. Savage on the decline, but putting on a peak performance against Shawn. Savage was complaining about losing and they still gave me 96. Shawn finally beats Savage. ''Out with the old and in with the new.''This now concludes their story. Brian Adams got involved after Warlord (Shawn's bodyguard) was sent from the ring. He will explain why he did this tomorrow. </p><p> </p><p>

Wrestlemania 10 going to rival Wrestlemania 8 as the greatest show of all time? </p><p> </p><p>

Royal Flush beat Bates Motel to get a 86. I'm happy with this rating. For the second year in a row, Royal Flush get the win. Following the match, Dibiase says Bates Motel could be special if they knew the power of the dollar. hahahahah. Dibiase will take over management duties. I hope they have chemistry. </p><p> </p><p>

and wow. It finally happened, folks. The moment I have been waiting on forever. Wrestlemania 10 has now surpassed Wrestlemania 8. Austin and Pillman got 100. woohoo.. I will now actually have a contender for a match of the year. </p><p> </p><p>

Looks like I have now hit my peak with this save, the good thing is I have a lot of post mania stuff planned now. Pillman and Austin will certainly meet again. WWF fans know they get their money worth from me. So happy with how this ended up, considering Austin vs Pillman was not the original plan. Hogan was probably wrestling Jack Victory on WCW Saturday Night, Dude. </p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i66.tinypic.com/2v80djt.png</span></p><p> </p><p>

To end this. Wrestlemania 10 did score 100 and overall, I'd have this at the top because of the main event and opener. I don't see how I can now beat this. You're not going to be able to have Owen and Bret opening the show every year. It was a dream scenario. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Now on to Raw.</p>

<p>Basically, without going into detail, I can say this about my BREAKTHROUGH promotion save.</p><p> </p><p>

* Nearing the 1-year mark on the save.</p><p>

* CM Punk has joined the company and has won the world title off of Claudio Antonio Castagnoli, who is busy with his stable, the Industry (with Stu Barrett, Chris Hero, Marty Scurll, LuFisto and Doug Williams).</p><p>

* Might be considering giving RVD and Zack Sabre Jr. a tag run, since they have excellent chemistry and scored a big A with Hero and Claudio.</p><p>

* Shinsuke Nakamura's WWE contract came up, and both they and TNA lost out in the bidding war against BREAKTHROUGH. He is guaranteed to be a main event mainstay at this point. I don't know why, but I almost snatched up Bo Dallas too, but I didn't really feel like it in the end.</p><p>

* Dave Batista is set to have a hiatus from the company for filming a movie in July. Not doing too much with him so far, besides being Punk's challenger at Drunken Desires. Might have him put over a couple talents when the Battle For Washington Tournament comes up in June.</p><p>

* Also, I somehow managed to sign up Stone Cold Steve Austin for a deal, and WWE didn't bother at all to try and counter-act. He'll be the surprise guest host of Drunken Desires.</p><p>

* I considered hiring The Rock as well, since he was open for negotiations, but since his regular employment salary for a written contract nears $100,000, I think I'll give it some time before I get to him. No pressure, since WWE isn't touching him right now.</p>

in that case, they don't seem to complain much if =/<2 matches per night, so I only do 3 on the last day, only affects the last 2 workers

the first 2 years I ran the RCI as a 32 man tournament. I knew it wasn't possible to make it a 1 night event so I made it two days in a row. Day 1 was a lot of short matches for rounds 1 and 2, and day 2 was the final three rounds with a little more time to the matches.

You could just as easily make it a 3 day event and separate the first 2 rounds. I don't because in the game I have to make it three individual events, linked in my head only. Because the game is not aware they are linked, my giant roster loses their cool if they aren't on every day. With a smaller roster, you could fiddle with brands to avoid this, but for me that'd be too much work.

The present variation I did was based off of my schedule which is

week 1: Tues Throwdown, Thus Underground

week 2: same, +Sat mid month madness (secondary monthly event)

week 3: same as week 1 + Sat APW japan (showcase for my Japan brand, held in Japan)

week 4: Tues throwdown, cx thurs, and RCI on Sat and Sun.

I'll have it all labeled and posted when I'm done (currently fighting some technical issues that are wrecking match grades), but this time I did a 64 man tournament and started it outside of the main two days to allow for longer matches. I did the first 16 matches of round 1 on week 1 throwdown and the second half on week 2 throwdown. These are still fairly short, but not as bad as before. Then I did half of round 2 on mid month madness, and half at the week three throwdown. I gave them week 4 off for recovery.

One mistake I made was the throwdown before the event I toured Mexico and ran a few storylines that tanked my storyline heat a little, but I got it back up quickly

Of note, all of the events mentioned are 4 hours events, couldn't fit this as easily onto smaller shows without dragging it out or making it a lot smaller.

As far as the actual booking, my world title contenders are usually not in the tourney by my choice (in the past they were too much more over to realistically lose), will likely change that as I expand the credible main event scene. I try to legitimately seed the first 8 or so and then just look for good matchups (face heel, worker chem, people in storylines together, etc). If I know who I want to win, I start from the finals and work my way back. This also allows me to see how deep of a surprising run I can give someone without messing everything up, and allows me to seed things in a way to make the run a possibility. Also, if you're smaller like me (regional), pay attention to where you have the event and worker popularity. You want to have it where your workers are most over.

I believe in the past Adam said there wasn't really a way to code tournaments without overhauling the system. But since most of us are making image records, maybe someday we can link to our images to provide a sense of history for recurring tournaments

Wow!!!! That is awesome and massive. Love it and it gives me ideas but for now it's way out of my league as I'm running MAW, Thanks

I ran this in '13 but it should work in '16.

1. The first match, in my case the quarterfinals, contain "jobber" matches -- guys lower-midcard or below versus main eventers. These run for ~10 minutes.

2. I usually borrow two guys (or more) from the territories -- these guys lose in the semis [usually] and put over my two competitors. Usually, I borrow ME guys from OLLIE or 4C with low US overness and/or guys willing to put over other talent (humble).

3. The winner earns an automatic title shot -- sometimes the next event, sometimes the next "big" event. The winner will be the opposite alignment of the current champion.

4. I usually (8 times out of 10) put the Rip Chord winner over in the next event.

5. Current champions (American, Tag Team and World) are barred from participating in the Rip Chord Invitational.

I run a similar format for the Sam Keith Classic, with the exception that the winners get a title shot of their choice: MAW American, MAW Heavyweight or MAW Tag Team -- great way to start/end a storyline.

Thanks for your input as well all good ways of doing a tournament. More ideas that will hopefully boost my tournaments

<p><a href="http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2177796&postcount=1031" rel="external nofollow">Previous Update</a></p><p>

So WWE have ran Royal Rumble 2017, and in what can only be described as a contriversial ending, we witnessed a referee get sent to Suplex City, multiple times, as WWE Champion, and leader of Bulletproof BC, Dean Ambrose somehow held onto his title. </p><p> </p><p>

If you read my previous post (listed above) you might have noticed something. Sami Zayn emerged from Armageddon as the WWE Champion, why is Ambrose champion? A little briefcase changed everything.</p><p> </p><p>

Zayn made his way to the ring on the first Raw of the new year in high spirits, he was the WWE and Intercontinental Champion after all, as he cut a promo the lights dimmed, and the titantron showed Bulletproof BC (AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor, Machine Gun and Gallows) were in a locker room. Ambrose congratulated Zayn, before warning him to have eyes in the back of his head, before saying 'Adios, Amigo.' Halfway throughout the show, GM Daniel Bryan (WWE stole this idea from me,) told Zayn he'd been told, due to Zayn not defending his IC title at Armageddon, he'll have to vacate it. Zayn agreed. After vacating the IC title, Zayn was attacked from behind by Bulletproof BC, before Ambrose cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Zayn had lost both of his titles in the space of a 10 minutes.</p><p> </p><p>

Also on the first Raw of 2017, Ambrose announced that Machine Gun and Gallows would be competing for single titles now, Alexa joined Sasha, Summer and Charlotte, joining the BFFs, and a mystery vignette played, hyping a certain King of Strong Style.</p><p> </p><p>

It was announced on the first Smackdown of 2017, to help everyone get into the Royal Rumble spirit, next week on Raw there will be a 15 man battle royale to determine the new IC Champion, as well as Brock Lesnar appearing. On Smackdown, Karl Anderson approached Bryan at the possibility of a singles run, and Bryan books Anderson vs Neville vs Breeze.</p><p> </p><p>

The next week of Raw was certainly eventful. The show started with Zayn in the centre of the ring, who claimed last week was the worst night of his life but he will overcome it. Lesnar came out with Heyman, who made a proposition with Zayn. "You beat Brock Lesnar, you become a star kid; your face will be on billboards, you'll be on all the TV shows. Everyone will know you as the guy, who beat the 1 in 21-1. If you lose, you give your Rematch Clause to Brock Lesnar." Zayn being the Ultimate Underdog accepted, but ultimately it was a bad choice. Lesnar leaving the winner. Else where, the team of Becky Lynch and Baymella defeated the BFFs (Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Summer) when Sasha intentionally got herself DQ'd. After the match, Bryan made his way onto the stage and praised Sasha for fighting so hard for Womens Wrestling to be considered equal, and as a reward, she'll be defending her title at the Royal Rumble in a 20 Women Royal Rumble match. The Winner leaves with the title while the Runner Up will face the Winner at Wrestlemania 32. Sasha Banks initially refutes the idea, but eventually she grows to it. Elsewhere, it was a good night for Bulletproof, with 'Machine Gun' Karl Anderson being named No1 contender for Roman Reigns US Title, while Luke Gallows won the battle royale to become Intercontinental Champion.</p><p> </p><p>

Next week, Bulletproof BC storms into Bryan's office, demanding to know who the referee is, Bryan eventually tells them, before calling someone to get it changed, while Sami Zayn tries to get his life back on track. Later in the show, Bulletproof BC find Mike Chioda, the assigned referee, before Balor sneaks up behind and puts a bag over his head and Bulletproof drag him into an unmarked dressing room. Meanwhile, more Nakamura vignettes and a Luke Gallows Open Challenge-ski</p><p> </p><p>

On the go home show, we had a contract signing between Lesnar and Ambrose, the Vaudvillains breaking up and another Gallows Open Night.</p><p> </p><p>

So came the long awaited Royal Rumble 2017. The show opened with Samoa Joe going over Crews, a blood feud that recently developed. Post match, Crews attempts to shake Joe's hand in a show of sportsmanship, Joe initially accepts before locking in a Coquina Clutch on Crews. Meanwhile, we go backstage to a camera man standing outside of a unmarked locker room. Dean Ambrose is heard shouting "You will do this for us, OR ELSE! Now get out!" and Mike Chioda is shown scurrying out of the locker room. Karl Anderson defeated Roman Reigns with the help of Bulletproof BC, (**** Roman refusing to put Anderson over clean), while Luke Gallows retained his title.</p><p> </p><p>

So came the first of the Triple Main Event. Sasha walked into a 20 Woman Royal Rumble, the champion, and despite the best efforts of a returning Trish Stratus, she left. Bayley survived all the way, being left in the final 4; at a 3 vs 1 disadvantage. Since her Debut, Bayley has been fighting off the BFFs, and it was no different here. A final 4 of Charlotte/Sasha/Summer and Bayley left the Huggable One at a great disadvantage, she overcame the odds however and managed to eliminate the other two. Bayley had Sasha on the ropes, both figuratively and literally, before new BFF member Alexa Bliss came into the ring and attacked Bayley from behind. Sasha eliminated Bayley and retained her title. Just.</p><p> </p><p>

Then came the co-main event. The Royal Rumble match. The Rumble featured returns in the shape of Vladimir Koslov, Rikishi and Jake the snake Roberts, the debut of the King of Strong Style Shinsuke Nakamura, and a final 4 who truly represent the new era. Left in the final four were AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura, with Zayn eliminating Balor to become the 30th Royal Rumble winner. Zayn will face the winner of the main event.</p><p> </p><p>

After some pysching up from the Bulletproof boys, Ambrose headed out to the ring for his Main Event match with Brock Lesnar. Much to Ambrose's dismay (and anger) Mike Chioda wasn't in the ring to officiate. The match followed the suit of every Brock Lesnar match ever, suplex, suplex, suplex etc. Brock went for an F5, the referee catching a foot in the face as Ambrose went up (It would've looked better than <a href="http://i.imgur.com/QOrqYvT.gifv" rel="external nofollow">this</a>, I promise), Chioda ran down to the ring, hitting a Low Blow on Lesnar, before Ambrose rolled him and Chioda fast counted the beast. Bulletproof immediately ran down to the ring, to retrieve their man. Lesnar stood up pissed, Chioda trying to escape the ring, he puts his arm out for Ambrose to grab. Initially Ambrose puts his arm out to grab it, before turning his hand into a gun, and walking off. Lesnar sending Chioda to Suplex City multiple times.</p><p> </p><p>

So how will WWE build the rest of the road to Wrestlemania? We shall see.</p>

<p>May 96' The War Begins.</p><p> </p><p>

As of January 1st 1998.</p><p> </p><p>

Armageddon, the last WWF PPV of the year ending with 2 titles changing hands, with <strong>Dean Malenko</strong> winning the IC title off of dominant champion <strong>Lance Storm</strong> and <strong>Owen Hart</strong> defeating <strong> "Stone Cold" Steve Austin</strong> to finally win the WWF World Heavyweight Title.</p><p> </p><p>

-The odd alliance of <strong>Chris Jericho</strong> and <strong>"The Big Bad Booty Daddy" Scott Steiner's</strong> goal of ridding the WWF of <strong>The Undertaker</strong> once and for all has hit a snag now that <strong>Mankind</strong> has arrived to even the odds.</p><p> </p><p>

-The newly dubbed "Global Elite": <strong>Chris Benoit</strong> and <strong>Steven Regal</strong> have scored one of the biggest wins of their regime, defeating <strong>Goldust</strong> and <strong>Syxx</strong> with the help of their new manager, <strong>Bobby Heenan</strong>. Bobby sounds like he has big plans and this might just be the beginning for the Global Elite.</p><p> </p><p>

-After a series of great matches <strong>Bret Hart</strong> has finally emerged triumphant over <strong>The Great Muta</strong>. The loss has done little to deter Muta's momentum. </p><p> </p><p>

-<strong>Eddy Guerrero</strong> after defeating <strong>Ken Shamrock</strong> has declared his intention to win the 1998 Royal Rumble. On the other end Bret Hart has declared it his dream to main event with his brother for the WWF world Heavyweight title at Wrestlemania XIV. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Al Snow</strong>'s bizarre Brood "The Snowflakes" (<strong>Abyss and Viscera</strong>) have vanquished <strong>The Hardys</strong> to retain their World Tag Team titles, but at a terrible price. Viscera shattered his elbow and will out of action for the next 13 months.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The British Bulldog</strong> can feel his relevance and career shortening with each passing day. This fear has led to a desperate push for the World Title, and an attempt to stifle any young greenhorns who might cut ahead of him in line. Unfortunately for him, his attempt to muscle <strong>Rey Mysterio Jr. </strong> out of his slot has ended in failure. Unfortunately for Rey, his ascent has caught the attention of Bulldog's partner in Camp Cornette, <strong>Vader</strong></p><p> </p><p>

In other news.</p><p> </p><p>

As of January 1st 1998 4 of the 5 core members of the Clique are presently unemployed. Here's how it went down.</p><p> </p><p>

1)The Clique, having proven problematic backstage needed to be dismantled. While I recently signed Sean "Syxx" Waltman to a 3 year deal no such deal was made with Triple H and consequently he was released when his contract lapsed in January 1997</p><p> </p><p>

2)After 9 months of rehab failed to stymie's Shawn desire to bury Bret in the locker room at every opportunity he was let go. Surprisingly WCW did not sign him. Other than a tour with a tiny British indy fed he has been the greatest all around unemployed wrestler in the world for most of 1997.</p><p> </p><p>

3)<span>http://i66.tinypic.com/333hb8w.jpg</span></p><p>

Yeah.</p><p> </p><p>

4)After being pushed to main event level, seeing his attitude get worse and not being able to correct it or placate him, Syxx was released in December of 1997.</p><p> </p><p>

So only, of all people, Scott Hall is presently employed of the 5. I could bring HHH back easily enough, but my UMC heels are pretty solid atm. </p><p> </p><p>

-National Battle Score as of January in USA: 3889 Points: </p><p>

1) The Undertaker (854)</p><p>

2) Steve Austin (811)</p><p>

3) Bret Hart (783)</p><p>

4) Owen Hart (751)</p><p>

5) Scott Steiner (690)</p><p> </p><p>

Still probably lower than WCW, but it can't be helped. Taker is the only guy I have with an SQ of 91+, except for Rocky but he is nowhere near ready for the main event. Luckily WCW seems at this point unable to rise above cult. (And even if they did Nash is gone and Hogan/Savage/Flair/Piper have passed their relevancy ages and their SQ is starting to sink).</p>
