Last year I won the jackpot with my Dojo, a guy with pretty good in-ring skills and 88 star quality graduated. I strapped a rocket on the guy and he's now my world champion. Problem is that he has an ego the size of Germany and already got suspended twice for assaulting other wrestlers backstage. He's currently feuding with Claudio Castagnoli (Cesaro, his contract wasn't renewed by WWE) and they are killing it, promos and angles in the 80s and their last match was the best I ever put on with a 92 rating.

My six men tag champs somehow got over huge so I added three young guys to their stable and they are growing nicely, currently booking the guys with some tension between them so the three youngsters can break off and eventually win the titles.

Oh, and John Cena is gone from WWE after going on a homophobic rant. I was thinking about getting him and turning it into a storyline, give him some weird heel gimmick but NJPW was quicker and signed him. He's now wrestling midcard matches over there.

I had ideas of turning this into a diary entry at one point, but made several mistakes and decided to just use this as a test run to learn the game.

I've created Bluegrass Championship Wrestling, a local fed based in Kentucky with the backing of $500,000 in cash. Lost $30k in two months and only lost 12.8K in month 3. Hopefully, I'll have some left over before we finally hit small.

Growth has been slow but steady as I've been working with a bunch of people barely known outside of the region. They're gaining popularity as BCW is.

Current World Champ is Tripp Cassidy which was considered top draw in the first sitdown with the creative team. Building my way towards a match between him and villain Nick Brubaker who has a vampire gimmick that is totally not inspired by Gangrel.

His opponent in Class Act? Joe Pittman who has been rolling with the midcard Kentucky title all the way to main event status. Of course he's going to give up the belt prior to the World match, so I'm doing a three way for the belt.

The tag team champs are The Sons of Michigan (Ben Boone and N8 Mattson). I've been marking time (and hoping to find another team with chemistry) until I can build up the Thomaselli Brothers (Vito and Sal) into legitimate threats by beating If Looks Can Kill (Greg Glover and Brian Nelson), a team who has been avoiding them.

I decided to take a popularity hit and have a women's division. First champ gets hurt during the title match that she wins against a wrestler hired for a tryout match. But she's now at 100 percent and the other two wrestlers have good chemistry against each other.

I've spent a long period of time crafting my own custom iDOM 2001 mod using the mod squad's 2001 roster as the base, slowly tweaking it over the last 6 months or so. Finally started a game with RFP and 3 months in I'm having an absolute blast.

The Main Event scene is starting to age, especially curent NWA United States Champion Lex Luger. My current plan is to build up quickly rising star Chris Jericho to feud with Luger and take the title from him in the next couple of months to really push him up into a true top of the card contender.

My main star Sting is currently feuding with WCCW's Kurt Angle, who believes he is the future of the NWA and has shown Sting no respect since returning to RFP. Sting is determined to teach Angle some respect and prove exactly why he is "The Icon". My plan is for Sting to go over and build towards a program with NWA World Champion Steve Austin for another run as the top man in the NWA.

The Steiner Brothers are still one of the top teams in the NWA and while they have had a couple of shots against ECW's The Dudley Boyz and have so far been unsuccessful in regaining the gold, but their determination to be recognized as the top tag team in the NWA once more is strong. I'm hoping to put them over for the titles against The Dudley's at GAB in 2 months time, unless the CPU decides to take the belts off them before then.

The undercard has been a lot of fun to book, the likes of Shane Helms and Matt Capotelli have a lot of potential to be future stars for the company. It's been a slow process getting the scenario to a state I deemed good enough to start playing and while there's still things I'd like to tweak a little bit, the work has been sooooo worth it!

So I have been playing TEW since 2005 maybe, could be wrong but I think that's when I started and I typically never make it past 2 years in any save whatsoever. I blame it on all the good re-renders and people posting cool save games they have haha. I haven't really played much in the past year but decided to get back into it when I saw someone post not too long ago about simming a year or two in and choosing someone who either needed a booker or owner. So i decided that the first promotion that really caught my eye whether it be booker or owner I was in.

First year went by with really nothing happening owner/booker wise. Year two happen and BCG became available because the owner retired but I was like eh I like them but I'll pass. Then Feb Year 3 came. I got an email. The board of TCW fired Kyle Rhodes as CEO.

I was like damn I've seen them go from National to Cult a bunch of times but didn't think they were doing that bad. So I said let me go take a quick look at the money they got. 26 million. I said yup lets go without even looking at there roster.

Every big star imaginable was gone. No Rocky, no Wolf, no Sammy, no Joshua...nobody. Their biggest stars were Greg Gauge who had C pop in the US and Art Reed and Freddy Huggins who all had the same pop at C. They did have some young stars so I decided you know what this is gonna be fun. I decided to buy out GCG to gain pop in Japan because I want to battle it out with SWF, SOTBPW and USPW who are top 3 in the world. I opened up a small development company and signed a bunch of young stars that were still available.

I've gone a month or two in and my current champions are

TCW World: Greg Gauge

TCW International: Freddy Huggins

TCW Tag Team: New Wave

TCW US (new title): Darryl Devine

I've signed some cruiserweight guys and am looking to start a cruiserweight division probably in the summer. I've just scratched the surface but this is the most fun I've had playing this game in a long time.

Doing a SOTBPW save. July 2016, and we scored Company Of The Year So Far, Show Of The Year So Far (the June installment of a monthly 3 v 3 event) and Young Wrestler of the Year So Far (Jormugand).

Leading up to Luchamania, I'll have Pirata Malvado vs Campeonato Del Mundo Pablo Rodriguez, and Champagne Lover, Campeon Jr, El Fuerza, El Leon, and Ultimate Phoenix vs. The Infernal Horde (minus El Rey & Heavy Metal Anarchy) in a (ideally) a modified version of the Cage War match (not Brawl Based, with 2 out of 3 falls once all the competitors are inside).

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Champagne Lover is going to make a movie; THANKFULLY production is scheduled to start AFTER LuchaMania. Thank the Lord. I've had a few instances where someone goes off to make a movie and it's right before where the perfect blow-off to a long running feud would be.

After getting back on the TEW groove after a hiatus, I put my long running CV97 Aussie game on hold and decided to hop to MAW 2016. And the game has been my longest effort in the default database, closing in on the end of 2019. Here's how things have been shaping up.

Only had four departures thus far. Greg Gauge went to GCG and later to BHOTWG in early 2017, dropping the title Spencer Spade (who had been let go by SWF for... reasons, I guess). Roderick Remus in 2018, heading off to GCG and after that collapsed, getting picked up by PGHW. Spade held the title for two years, dropped it in late 2018 and was signed by CGC in early 2019. Spade is rocketing towards the top of the card, currently feuding with Jack DeColt. The latest guy to departure was Logan Wolfsbaine. After a four year run, he was picked up by BHOTWG after touring in multiple promotions for years. As a departure gift, he challenged Xavi Farrera for the MAW title, blowing off their feud, and delivered a A rated match! Holy hell. I also had Heroe and Nigel Svensson for a cup of coffee, but they were gone in a few months. I'm fearing written offers every month, with Austin Smooth, Gidaya "Lariat" Katou and now George Wolfe touring Japan.

I tend to mostly sign unemployed talent (Ferrera and Wolfsbaine were both released by PSW early) and try to groom form within. Despite that, it's my signees who have had most success. Austin Smooth has turned into an absolute beast, banging in B+ performances every time. He has excellent chemistry with THE ARCHITECT and their team (creatively named The Smooth ARCHITECTS) has delivered big time, routinely delivering the match of the night. Really, THE ARCHITECT is the biggest success of the homegrowns, winning the 2016 Rip Chord Invitational and then 2018 Sam Keith Classic with Smooth. They will probably feud at some point, after they drop the titles to a lower card team.

The "big" name acquisitions have been former SOTBW guy Star Master and NOTBW "Dropped Ball #1" Mark Griffin (who has been routinely released by those darn Stones in every long term game I've done from TEW 13 onwards). Master is probably my third most reliable guy after Smooth and Ferrara, but with his popularity absolutely refuses to job without throwing a fit. So after a brief spell with the MAW title he's mostly been spinning his wheels in the uppercard, mostly in tags.

Griffin was supposed to win RCI 2017, but took a booking in FCW instead. Then he was supposed to win RCI 2018 but Spade was angry about jobbing, so no dice. As a consolation price I made him the COTT champion (seriously, Too Hot? Did you book yourself as the champion?). Griffin reigned for two years, having great matches all around the alliance, until dropping it to... Handsome Stranger? Nani?

Uppercard also features George Wolfe (good challenger for uppercard faces), Quentin Queen (really avarage, but autopushed because of pre-existing popularity), Bradley Blaze (future champ, if keeps developing) and Miller Fjorde. I really love Miller, but he constantly underperforms. He never gets a higher than a D+, despite some good performance stats. Was going to give him a tag run with Gauge, but that ended at the first hurdle, since Gauge got signed IMMEDIATELY after they won. Being a cruiserweight in MAW really sucks and I'm hoping he can find success elsewhere, having just signed to PSW. I'm not going to give up trying, as he's improving his weakest top row stat, brawling, in every show.

Tag ranks! Collier and Jones had a two year run plus two short reigns with the COTT straps. Canadian Grapplers Inc (Cal Sanders & Kirk Drury) are my top babyface team and since Sanders hasn't hit decline yet, they're probably getting the belts back at some point. DeMarcus & Grey are there, Grey is not setting the world on fire. Paired up Copperhard and Deadline, since the latter is better in tag environment anyway due to below average stamina. Heartbreak Express is given time to develop, Ralph Liotta has all the sings of a star! They're due a title run sooner than later.

Current American champion is Gidaya Katou, who has gotten scary good really fast. Was in undercards for a year or two, then shot up to midcard pretty fast. Pulled a B- out of Hal Harvard! He's probably keeping the belt until eventually going home via written deal in one of the big companies in Japan.

Lower card doesn't really have any gems currently. Jules Knight and Seth Whitehead have potential. Signed all but one of the regens popping trough the boot camp. Teamed two of them up and they have become a solid tag team, one of them being Sam Keith's protege and getting tips on psychology a lot. Rest of the regens are rotting in pre-show hell, so I'm hoping some of them develop.

Rest of the world keeps chugging along. GCG is the only place to go under thus far. Lots of retirements. USPW is still a powerhouse, but is seriously lacking youth. PGHW is taking the lead in Japan over BHOTWG, while BCG keeps rising. 21CW almost went bankrupt, released almost everyone worth a damn, and are looking very different nowadays. Lots of the young guys found themselves in smaller European promotions, USPW won the bidding war for Cornell and Orson headed North of the Border.

I decided to play one of the few 90s Real World mods that I haven’t checked out, 1991 – Rising Storm. Just finished up my first month and the 1991 Royal Rumble, and figured I’d post my card. Enjoy!

1991 Royal Rumble

The Undertaker & The Powers of Pain defeat Ricky Steamboat, Road Warrior Animal & “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan

Ted DiBiase was scheduled to team with the newly reunited Barbarian & Warlord, but the Million Dollar Man claimed he was not medically cleared, and made a handsome donation to the Funeral Parlor to have the undefeated Undertaker take his place! Miraculously, DiBiase would recover in enough time to compete in the Royal Rumble later on in the evening!

DiBiase would even get involved in the match, distracting rival Ricky Steamboat when The Dragon was on a hot streak. DiBiase got decked by Steamboat as a result, but the distraction allowed Undertaker to hit The Dragon with a Tombstone Piledriver to gain the victory! (75)

Road Warrior Hawk was replaced by Jim Duggan after he failed a Drug Test (Painkillers).

Razor Ramon defeats Tugboat

The hottest newcomer currently in WWF, Razor passes the tough test known as Tugboat and remains undefeated. He’s unable to lift Tugboat up for the patented Razor’s Edge, but manages to put the big guy away with a Flying Clothesline from the top rope. (55)

“The King” Jerry Lawler defeats Haku by DQ

Bobby Heenan would interrupt Lawler’s debut interview at the start of January, setting this all up. Thinking The King would most definitely accept Heenan’s invitation to join his faction family, Heenan was appalled when Lawler not only rejected the invite, but insulted the Weasal errr Brain in the process.

Heenan has been making Lawler’s hell ever since, leading to this match. When Lawler hit Haku with his patented Piledriver, Heenan would reveal one more trick up his sleeve. “The Model” Rick Martel would appear and assault Lawler, locking him into his Boston Crab and refused to let go! After officials finally broke Lawler free, Martel would depart with the Heenan and Haku. Lawler might not have joined the Heenan Family, but it sure does look like Heenan has found a new client! (74)

The Hart Foundation defeat The Nasty Boys to retain the WWF Tag Team Championship

An old rivalry renewed, Jimmy Hart is jealous of the success of the 2-Time Tag Team Champions, and he is out to prove that HE is the reason why the Hart Foundation are considered the best tag team in the world! Fast forward a couple weeks, and Hart’s latest team The Nasty Boys would defeat The Rockers to become #1 Contenders to the Tag Team Titles!

Despite Jimmy Hart’s best efforts (aka interference), The Hitman & The Anvil prove once again why they stand atop of the tag team mountain. Knobbs gets hit with the Hart Attack, and it’s 1-2-3 for the Hart Foundation. (79)

Mr. Perfect defeats Jake “The Snake” Roberts by Count Out to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship

Mr. Perfect & Bobby Heenan would do their best to dodge the challenge of The Snake, claiming Roberts was not deserving of an IC Title shot. But after Roberts teamed up with The Ultimate Warrior to defeat Perfect & Randy Savage in a tag team contest, WWF Owner Vince McMahon would grant Roberts his title match!

Late in the match, the fight spilled out to the floor. Roberts laid in a beating all over ringside as Earl Hebner counted away. Perfect snuck back into the ring in the hopes to escape the assault. When Roberts attempted to get back into the ring before the ten count, Bobby Heenan would grab onto The Snake’s leg, out of the referee’s view as Earl Hebner’s count reached ten! Roberts would plead his case, but the decision was final!

Roberts would get some revenge, as the Brain received a well deserved beatdown from the Snake. Roberts attempted to even give Heenan a close up interaction with Damien, but Perfect would help Heenan escape before that could happen! (81)

Hulk Hogan Wins The 1991 Royal Rumble Match

Sometimes you cannot change history, as Hulkamania runs wild all over the Royal Rumble for the second straight year. The story leading up to the Rumble was the feud between Hulk Hogan & Earthquake, and it all comes down to those two men. Quake would miss his patented Earthquake Splash, allowing Hogan to Hulk Up and eventually toss the big man over the top rope and to the floor!

Hogan celebrated with the crowd, knowing that he has a date at Wrestlemania with the WWF Heavyweight Champion! (76)

Final Four: Hogan, Earthquake, Jake Roberts, Big Boss Man

Most Eliminations: Ted DiBiase

“Macho King” Randy Savage defeats The Ultimate Warrior to become the NEW WWF Heavyweight Champion

What a travesty! One of the best title matches every seen in WWF is ruined by some masked man! After being named #1 Contender to Warrior’s Heavyweight Title by Vince McMahon, the Macho King just couldn’t keep Warrior down for a 3. Warrior would begin to beat Savage from pillar to post, but in the process would accidentally throw Savage into Referee Earl Hebner!

As Warrior prevented to lift Savage into the Gorilla Press, some masked individual would hit the ring and strike Warrior in the ribs with a steel chair! The masked man would then stand over Warrior and drive the edge of the chair into the champion’s ribs three more times! The masked man would then disappear with the referee never having a clue! Savage would recover, head to the top rope, and connect with the Flying Elbow! 1-2-3, Randy Savage is now a 2-Time WWF Heavyweight Champion! (92)

A rematch is now set up for Savage & Warrior, and Vince McMahon has put the rematch in a Steel Cage to avoid any further interference!

That’s it for now! I’ll post again when it’s Wrestlemania time!

WWE's 2003 Royal Rumble just completed.

The tag team of Goldberg and Taijiri (who apparently have great chemistry!) took the tag titles from Edge and Rhino. Edge and Rhino were a fearsome team, but there seemed to be more opportunities for good matches in the "chase". Goldberg and Taijiri recently unmasked the Noble Ninjas to reveal Jimmy Yang and Jaimie Noble.

Kurt Angle defeated William Regal for the Intercontinental title in a fantastic match.

Big Show vs Undertaker ended with Show getting himself intentionally DQ's, and then continuing the beat down. This was our attempt at a "double turn" and it went well. (Turned Show heel, turned Taker face)

Batista retained the World Title in a rematch vs. Chris Benoit that went

24 minutes.

The 30 Royal Rumble was won by STING, who surprised the crowd with his appearance (after 7 months in rehab.). Sting tossed out HHH for the win, securing a feud with both Lesnar and HHH

BTW - as of this writing, Evolution did not form.

* HHH is managed by Stephanie MeMahon and has employed Batista (and formerly Chuck Palumbo) as his muscle.

* Meanwhile, Ric Flair manages the Age of Excitement: Randy Orton, Billy Gunn and Jason York. (Formerly Christian York). Sean O'Haire was part of the team but left when Arn Anderson was hired as a Road Agent.
