Official "Booking Committee" Thread

<p>Yea I'm liking the idea of getting rid of half of the guys I mentioned. I think I was just adding people for the sake of it. Signing them so the other companies couldn't have them.</p><p> </p><p>

I don't think I will just release all in one go, however I think the Kirk Jameson, Valentine and Nelson Calum group can be released... probably do a group v group thing loser leaves CZCW kinda thing.</p><p> </p><p>

Loving the idea of My users vision of CZCW v The co- owner version. My users will be the hiring stars and changing the product kinda view to make it mainstream, the coowner will be the traditional CZCW style viewpoint. </p><p> </p><p>

Thinking Of getting rid of the brand split. getting rid of all the women , getting rid of the filler masked high flyers and keeping the main masked guys as part of the Co -owners group alongside guys like Fox mask, Masked Cougar, Remmy Sky, Cali Love Machine. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">From the Coast to Coast Brand ( the main brand) I'm thinking of jobbing and releasing. </span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

Rick Law - </p><p> </p><p>

Nelson Calum- his group will be the first casualties of the owners war, will loose to guys like Remmy Sky,Fox Mask and CLM.</p><p> </p><p>

Casey Valentine- see above</p><p> </p><p>

Kirk Jameson - see above</p><p> </p><p>

Jefferson stardust - I'll release him - meh</p><p> </p><p>

Ross Henry - it's a shame as by now he's developed to one of my boys,no matter if he was a appointment's, if he had better mic skills he'd have been used as a manager.. but he's not so he'll go.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Others to be released from the lower ends of card on the main brand:</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">

</span></strong></p><p>

Drake Younger - he's developed pretty well,however, I don't like his look. </p><p> </p><p>

Logan Wolfsbane- Had him for a couple of years, but he does nothing for me at the moment. I could put him and younger cousin James Diaz together maybe... but not sure.</p><p> </p><p>

Owen Love- pure jobber... could release him.. I may leave him until last, there's room for some guys I don't care for to be warm bodies. He could be just that.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Solomon Gold- at 23 is a good prospect but his gimmick and size are not CZCW</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Released from my secondary brand FlashPoint!</span></strong> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Women.</strong> </p><p> </p><p>

Charity Sweet</p><p>

Cherry Bomb</p><p>

Ariel Breaks</p><p>

Demelza Wade</p><p>

DEVIL Kurbe</p><p>

Fuyuko Higa</p><p>

Killer Cass</p><p>

Hanna Ajibana</p><p>

Juliette King</p><p>

Kate Lilly</p><p>

Katherine Goodlooks</p><p>

Missy Masterson</p><p>

Nadia Snow</p><p>

Paige Croft</p><p>

Sandra Shine</p><p>

Selina Svelt</p><p>

Talia Quinzel</p><p>

Valentine Abbot</p><p>

Yuma Maruya</p><p>

Zoe Ammis</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Men </strong></p><p> </p><p>

El Jaguar - At the start he and his partner were going to get a mega tag push, were getting bulit up, then bam WLW took his partner, Jaguar has been in Limbo</p><p> </p><p>

Elemental IV - good lawd does this guy suck, I took him on as a project to get his stats up so he doesn't ruin the name of Elemental, spent time in developmental before I called him up to the new brand. He'll go back down to developmental untill he's good enough to be signed by the indies.</p><p> </p><p>

Golden Scorpion- I used him as a named vet to help bring up the younger masked guys, but he can be chopped.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Guerrerro Muerto - A solid hand, used as midcard gatekeeper but can be chopped.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Halloween Knight- singed him as he reminded me of LA Parka - but he's 35 and used as a gatekeeper, he can be chopped.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Jagged - well he's young but average, I don't like his mask,he can be gone.</p><p> </p><p>

Stealth Z is Talented but I don't like his mask, his name is very Indie - he can go. </p><p> </p><p>

that's like 3/4 of the Flashpoint roster gone.</p><p>

.....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

As well as releasing everyone above. I will take on the advice of sending a couple of the other guys on Holiday especially until I can get myself sorted, they can be surprise returns to join sides when the Traditional v Mainstream CZCZ feud happens.</p><p> </p><p>

Trim down the roster seems to be a good idea I had the idea that progressing the company meant making it bigger in every way but i'd be happy not to have a mass of talent to try and book and have second thoughts on.</p><p> </p><p>

I think some evolution needs to happen, that the CZCW style is not just having high flying talent but more so about the style of matches.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I think that I need to rebalance it however so that half of the matches contain high flyers, another 1/4 contain gimmicks leaving another 1/4 to be the evolition I want to make it more mainstream like having a Tommy Cornell v Shooter Shawn Daley or Swoop v Jacob Jett. etc</p><p> </p><p>

....................</p><p> </p><p>

Other Notes.</p><p> </p><p>

Cali Love Machine -I love this guy - Pushed him gradually as the first couple of years went on, he's now a 2 time World Champion of my cult promotion. defeated Tommy Cornell and is one of my most popular guys. His performances grew with his rising pop and rising place on the card and at one point was the Jerry Lawler of the South West in terms of being mega over in the region. He's like my peoples champion Underdog. I would love to make him the offical figurehead but his SQ isn't up to it, in the 70's but it's not enough. He will always be the homegrown Main Event guyand always be in and around the title hunt. He's my biggest achievement on TEW16.</p>

I'm playing WCW in 2001(starting in Jan, not may), and I have no idea what to do with Dustin Rhodes. I want to do something with him, but I have no concept of him of a character/wrestler outside of Golddust, and his younger, generic southern babyface days. If my memories of WCW at that time are right, he was just kinda there. I don't need a story-arc or angle or anything, just a character, or personality, to give me a direction to go with him.

Because much I've loved the guy from Day 1, that's a pretty darn good description of face Dustin. Especially early face Dustin. He was never the technical wizard, he was the never the master showman electricifying the crowd with his puns and his catchphrases. He was just a blue-collar, workmanlike wrestler who happened to have a name to keep him afloat. Even as a big fan of Dustin, I don't know he even reaches Goldust if he's Dustin Jones or Smith or Abramowitz. Being Dustin RHODES kept him going until he got the distinct character of his own. And maybe that it itself could be his gimmick. He's floating along being Dustin Rhodes but slowly starts developing an attitude. He's terse with the crowd. He's not as friendly in interviews. Somebody asks him what's wrong at the wrong time and he just snaps. Letting the crowd, the locker room and the world in general just have it because none of them ever believed in him. It wasn't "Dustin" they cared about. It was the Rhodes family name. Maybe he could take the American Nightmare moniker Cody's been using IRL. He takes a new last name that spoofs his old one. Like "Avenue" or "Streeter" and he goes out on the warpath against all the people the establishment believed in over him. In short, make Dustin resent having been generic.</p>

Thinking about bringing back Team Canada to my TNA March 2017 save with some of the top Canadian Stars coming to TNA to form the new faction, Team Canada 2.0 if you will. Originally I was thinking about doing 1 Main Event/Upper Mid, 1 Tag Team, and 1 Knockout. Maybe throw in a X-division star in there too. Who would you guys would think would be the top guys to bring in for that kind of faction? I already am going to have Scott D'Amore be the ring leader of it.

Just a warning, this could end up being a very long post. Thanks to anybody that takes the time to read it and, hopefully, respond.

I'm using the Risky Business mod, playing as the WWF. started in January 1985, currently in April, 1991. So, I've been playing for quite a while. Simply put, I'm just looking for any ideas at all to run in my game.

To help out, I'll provide a overall of my company. First off, the wrestlers and any plans I have for them, ATM.

Main eventers-

Bret Hart (face): Just entered the main event scene a few months ago. Won the 1991 Royal Rumble, but lost at Wrestlemania 7 to the Undertaker. Will be winning the Heavyweight title from the Undertaker at the April PPV. Will than feud with Ric Flair and Randy Savage over the belt.

Randy Savage (face): Pretty much the face of my company since Hulk Hogan left to WCW. In a holding pattern right now, winning main event matches, and not feuding with anybody.

Razor Ramon (heel): Has turned into a movie star, hence his high popularity. A former IC champion, has done nothing of note in the ME scene. Is set to turn face soon and enter into a feud with Ric Flair.

Ric Flair (heel): Always entertaining, a former three time Heavyweight champion. Will enter into a high-profile feud with Hart once Hart is champion. Currently feuding with Razor Ramon.

Rick Rude (heel): Current tag team champion alongside Ted DiBiase. Feuding with the Fabulous Freebirds. Had higher hopes for Rude, but he's turned into a tag team specialist, this being his fifth run with the belts.

Ted DiBiase (heel): Pretty much like in real life, always entertaining, always at the top of the card, but never "the Man." Just resigned him to a massive five year, $65,000 per month deal to keep him away from WCW. Might push towards the Heavyweight title just to make good use of that deal.

The Undertaker (heel): THE MAN in WWF. Won the Heavyweight title at Wrestlemania 6, still has it over a year later. Currently has a record of 91-0 in the three years he's been in the WWF. His first lose will be at my April PPV, losing the belt to Bret Hart. Not sure where to go with him from there. Does he get his rematch? Does he move onto other feuds? But, against who?

Upper Midcarders-

Dusty Rhodes (face): Stole him from WCW a few months ago. He's been on a decline for a few years now, can't wrestle long matches, but is still extremely entertaining. Thinking of putting him in a tag team with a young wrestler, but not sure who yet.

Jerry Lawler (heel): Has settled into a nice role as a cocky upper-midcarder. His contract is up in three months and I might not resign him, unless he wants to become a part-time wrestler and a color commentator.

Kerry Von Erich (face): Has 97 star quality but can't cut a promo for the life of him. Has been a solid hand but not sure where to take him. Not good enough to hold the Heavyweight title and the IC title has passed him by. He's not as young as I was thinking, but maybe team him up with Rhodes? Could be a good upper-midcard tag team.

Michael Hayes (face): Had been trying to sign him for years, now I kind of regret it. Causes trouble backstage, segments are never that good, same with his matches. Currently teaming with Jimmy Garvin but after their feud with DiBiase and Rude is over, I can seem to becoming a team that just jobs to younger teams.

Nikita Koloff (heel): Another guy I tired to sign for years, and has done nothing of note since entering the WWF a year ago. Currently managed by Bobby Heenan.

Rick Martel (face): Thanks to WCW, Martel has a contract that he does not justify. In hindsight, I probably should have just let him go. He's currently in a tag team with Dynamite Kid.

Scott Steiner (heel): Thanks to his high star quality, he's always at the top of the card. Him and his brother Rick are former tag team champions and they may be moving towards those belts again in the near future.

Shawn Michaels (heel): Current IC champion. Slowly been moving him up the card, making sure he's always involve in a feud with somebody he can learn from, or put on great matches with. Currently feuding with Owen Hart and Mr. Perfect.

Jake Roberts (face): Currently on vacation, feels isolated backstage thanks to not liking Ax and Dynamite Kid. Hoping I can improve his morale before bad things happen.

Midcarders-

Arn Anderson (face): Would love to push towards the IC title, as he's been a steady hand his entire WWF career.

Ax & Crush (heel): Forming the Demolition tag team. Ax is getting up there in years and Crush is still pretty young. Hate to waste Crush like this, but it's nice having a brute force heel team around.

Dynamite Kid (face): Causes a lot of backstage issues, but puts on great matches. Currently teaming with Rick Martel.

Haku & The Barbarian (face): Forming the Faces of Fear tag team. Just broke away from their long time manager Bobby Heenan, turning them face for the first time ever.

Hercules (heel): Currently managed by Bobby Heenan, has great basics and psychology, and menace.

Jim Duggan (face): Just kinda there. Used a lot in filler matches.

Jimmy Garvin (face): See Michael Hayes.

Mr. Perfect (heel): Managed by Bobby Heenan, a former three time IC champion, and won the second annual King of the Ring, he's dropped down the card the last year thanks to backstage issues. Looking to build him back up.

Owen Hart (face): Has been on the main WWF roster for three years already. Currently feuding with Shawn Michaels and Mr. Perfect over the IC title. Slowly building him up to become an amazing main eventer in the future. Too bad that him and his brother Bret have awful chemistry fighting each other.

Rick Steiner (heel): Teaming with his brother Scott, but has issues getting over, unlike Scott.

Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson (faces): Forming the Rock n Roll Express tag team, they've always been at the top of the card. Contracts are expiring soon, so I'm looking to use their overness to help out a few of my younger teams.

Lower midcard, openers, and enhancement-

Brian Knobbs & Jerry Sags (heels): Forming the Nasty Boys tag team.

Dick Slater & Dean Malenko (faces): They have great chemistry when teaming together, so they've been a tag team for a few years now. Always capable of putting on good matches with anybody.

Brooklyn Brawler (heel): In between quite a few trips to rehab, has become a pretty decent wrestler.

Big Boss Man (face): Has been an enforcer for Bobby Heenan for a few years now. Turned him face and is in line for a big push up the card.

Jim Powers (face): Just a good hand to have whenever needed.

Steven Regal & David Taylor (heels): Forming the Blue Bloods tag team. Will most likely be released when their contracts expire soon.

Brian Pillman (heel): Called up from development at the end of 1990, will mostly job until his contract is almost up, unless something up comes up.

Typhoon & Earthquake (heels): Afters years in development, just called these two monsters up. Will be the first team that the Rock N Roll Express helps get over.

Women's Division-

Faces are currently Jaguar Yokota, Rockin' Robin, and the Woman's champion, Wendi Richter.

Heels are currently Alundra Blayze (leaving soon to have a baby), Ashley Cartier, Candi Devine (hasn't debuted yet), Hollywood, Magnificent Mimi, and Sherri Martel (who also manages Rick Rude.)

Still trying to build up the Women's Division, so looking for lots of help here to get them over.

So, that is my main roster. I have a pretty healthy development company, full of young wrestlers. However, most of them are just signed to improve before being released into the world. The ones that I will be wanting to use soon are:

Bryan Clark, Charles Wright (any gimmick), Cutie Suzuki, Dennis Knight, Jacqueline Moore, Lisa Moretti, Luna Vachon, maybe Marc Mero, Tatanka, and Sweet Saraya, and Gangrel.

I have a lot more than that signed, but I'm hoping they get some time in either WCW, NJPW, or ECW once it opens before I resign them for my main roster.

As far as events go, I run the big 5 PPVs yearly, with In Your House PPVs filling in the other months. In June, is the King of the Ring tournament, either a 16 or 8 man, depending on how my roster looks. In August, I run the WWF Tag Team Classic tournament. Depending on how much work I want to put into it, I've ran 32 teams all the way down to 8. It currently has a prestige of 92, so I like to think of it as a big deal for teams to win. I also use Saturday Night's Main Event whenever I get the urge.

I currently only have a working agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling. Always try to trade one or two of my wrestlers over there every trade to get some experience.

Alright...that should be about it...now what I'm looking for...

If you were watching this roster in 1991, what would you like to see happen? Anybody you want to see pushed? How would you book The Undertaker after he loses the Heavyweight title?

Any events/tournaments you would like to see the WWF run that would be fun to run in-game? If you were in control, what would you do?

Thanks again to anybody that took the time to read all this and a big thanks to anybody that responds.

Your main event scene is heel heavy, so I'd suggest a Taker/Von Erich feud to get Kerry elevated and give you another face main eventer. And if promos are an issue for Von Erich, get him a manager.

On the women's side, I'm playing the same mod and have had crazy success with Dump Matsumoto. I'm only up to August '87, and she's at an A pop pretty much across the board in the US. Works well as a dominant heel.

If they are available, I've had success with Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody as well. With them being big, nasty wrestlers they might make a good stable with Taker.

Personally I would have the Undertaker disappear for a while to "find himself", then do a slow build in to a rematch with Bret Hart for the WWF title. Taker would probably be the face here since it is a redemption story so Bret would need to turn heel. I'm thinking have Bret create the Hart Foundation with Owen, Mr Perfect and Brian Pillman. The Hart Foundation could do what the wanted, ganging up on anybody who went against them. Then at Survivor Series (where Taker debuted of course) Taker costs the Hart Foundation their Survivor Series match due to his mystical powers. Do a slow build up to Taker's return in the Royal Rumble, he cleans house and wins the match to go on to face Bret at Wrestlemania. You can go whichever way you want with this, but I'd probably have Taker winning, and then dropping it back to Bret at Summerslam to go feud with somebody else, maybe a Ric Flair. I'd also have Taker become more of a spectre, lurking in the shadows to keep him fresh, so you dont run out of ideas for him

Elsewhere on the card, I'd be looking at Macho Man vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania for the Intercontinental Championship as my co-main event. Savage puts over Shawn on the grandest stage of them all, and gives him the rub of beating the top guy in the company. Following this, you could have Owen defeating Shawn at Summerslam so Shawn can move on to a feud with the leader of the Hart Foundation, Bret Hart for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania.

Looks like Scott Steiner might need to break away from his brother though, maybe have Rick cost them the tournament in the final and then Scott just loses it on him. Could also go for a Steiner vs Savage feud after Wrestlemania to legitimise Scott as a top singles guy

KVE/Undertaker have put on some good matches in the past, so that could be very good feud.

I've been toying with the idea of signing Dump Matsumoto. How did you get her up to an A pop?

I've used both Hansen and Brody in the past. Brody was a complete bust, always having drug issues. Hansen I've thought about resigning, just not sure how he would fit in in the WWF.

Oh man, I love that Undertaker/Hart idea. Not sure I want Hart to have the belt for a whole year, but I could easily have him drop it to Flair or Savage, than have him regain before next years Wrestlemania.

Was debating on a Savage/Michaels feud, as it seems a logical step. Might not be at Wrestlemania, since it's already pass, but I can see it happening at Summerslam.

That could be a good idea for breaking up the Steiners. Was hoping to keep around as team a bit longer, but I don't think I have much of a choice.

Thanks guys!

I let Dump pretty much run through the roster, winning match after match, pretty much every show we have. Having a big number of these be title matches helped as well. I've never gotten a women's wrestler this popular before, so it's a bit of a surprise to me.

Another thing I do is I do an 8 man modern opening. I use 6 of the spots for my top main event/upper mid card feuds, but I also give the women the final 2 spots. I mostly use Dump, Richter, and Kai because they are my top three, and the others never perform well in these spots.

I may have also had success in eliminating All Star Wrestling and creating Raw much earlier than reality, and making it a 2 hour A show. I've also re-branded Championship Wrestling as Smackdown, and am running two 2 hour A shows a week. It helped me get my popularity and importance up quicker.

I'm currently playing the WCW lives mod as WCW and i'm just into 2002. I'm looking to build up CM Punk as the next big heel and will introduce a stable around him at Sin. I am thinking a straight rip off of Straight Edge Society, just much earlier and (hopefully) better booked and more utilised. I'm looking for idea on who would be the best wrestlers for the two follower roles in this time period. Ideally i'd like it to be two guys i can also book as a tag for a while, but will be useful to get over for WCW in the future. Any ideas?

Can't remember if they're in the data, but N8 Mattson(active when the mod starts), and then Josh Prohibition and Matt Cross(Son of Havoc in Lucha Underground) are all actually straight edge and have used the gimmick in wrestling.

Cross & Prohibition were a great tag team called Youtha****a. They both debut at various times in 2001. So if they're in the data, they're the best two fits in my opinion. N8 is great though. Huge fan of his work.

well i found Matt Cross but i can't seem to find the other two. Is it possible they would be under other names? Unfortunately i'm not very great with indy wrestlers around this time. I'm thinking of using Samoa Joe in an enforcer role as the fourth guy. any other guys anyone could recommend if these ones aren't in the data?
