Small Questions Thread & "Living FAQ"

For enhancement talent should I just sign loads of rubbish wrestlers? I was using young promosing talent but after a few weeks they start to complain about their push. I want 7 or 8 enhancement talent that are just happy to have a job, like jobbers back in the day. But do enhancement talent need a certain level of skill or does it matter seeing as they are getting beaten week in, week out.

Also I like to have regular title changes, does this devalue the title or does it matter as long as talent are good wrestlers and popular?

The best thing to do is hire some people with low popularity... whether they be promising workers you want to develop or nobodies who are literally there to just fill up the numbers, having lower popularity will ensure they autopush to the lowest end of the card. Autopushing your roster ensures people will stay happy too, so you don't even have to worry about getting those pesky emails about a worker not being happy with their push. Workers will gain popularity just by being on screen with others, up to one third of your company popularity, so it can get crowded around whatever that level of popularity is, so as long as people above that level are still beating your designated jobbers they should also stay at the low end of the card.

Regular title changes don't hurt the belt prestige, that's mostly determined by having champions with good star quality putting on good matches with similarly good opponents. That said, finding one good champion is easier than finding four good champions, so regular title changes will definitely make it more likely that you could hurt your title prestige.

Is there a way to completely kill someone's popularity? I mean to bring him down into the 10s and 20s maybe or even 0..

The "Burial" road agent note is the best way to kill someone's popularity, but it will also kill their happiness and it's likely that they will want to leave before you can get them all the way down. There are also popularity floors for workers, so someone who has reached a high enough level of popularity can only fall so far again... combine this with the feature where a worker will gin popularity up to one third the level of the company's popularity and it's very hard to absolutely destroy someone now. Though with strategic losses to people who can take popularity from them, you can certainly do a lot of damage. :p

My pop in the U.S seems to be capped at 82, while Canada has now risen past it into the B+ area. I have just as much (probably more) coverage in the U.S as I do in Canada. I'm really hoping to get to international, so does anyone know how to fix this cap?

Usually when it looks like your growth has stopped, it's some combination of your Broadcaster Coverage/Time Slot, trending product, the wrestling industry/economy and National Battles combining to slow you down. Since it seems like you must be getting strong show grades for Canada to be growing well, it will be at least one of those factors playing in. If you compare these factors between the USA and Canada you should be able to see what is slowing you down in the US. :)

Re-posting.

Surprisingly, no.

I'm sure it leans more toward the wrestling industry in the US and your product impact. Check those two and it will most likely give you your answer.

If a match gets a penalty to the grade and the note: "there was a lack of psychology and could really have used someone to construct a proper flow" (or something in those lines), will it help to script the match next time? Road agent in question had 100 psych and 100 respect, the two workers both had 76 in-ring psych.

I don't do call in ring unless both have above 80 or one has above 90 with the other below 80.</p>

Me neither. I didn't script the match, but didn't select call in ring either. Just seemed weird that with a good Road Agent, and both workers having 76 psych, they could only score a 77 rating. I will try scripting the match for their feud ending match.

I could be making stuff up in my own head but I swear at some point in the last 10 years I read something about needing atleast 80 psychology to call in ring so I have stuck to that</p>

Well, to be fair, the two Guys were Goldberg and Scott Steiner... so they were indeed penalized for lacking stamina (in a 12 minute match) and lack of selling. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Just had Jim Ross announce his retirement and I have to replace him as my announcer. Is there a spot in the editor to give my new announce team a bit of experience instead of having them start at 0? I looked in the editor but don't know if I missed where to do it or if there isn't anything I can do.

I have put a lot of guys over them, but now they are old and can't put good matches. Also, some are bad influences backstage (and thus the burial). I don't want them going to small feds and putting everyone over there. </p><p> </p><p> My mod has most wrestlers on 0 overness everywhere, and the last time I checked, 3PW had a lot of over wrestlers. Turns out, one of my workers, Sabu, signed with them and then everyone started gaining popularity. It isn't as bad as I am stating it, but I guess I want to put my workers over myself. Plus, I can't get cheap enhancement talent if they have some popularity.</p>

<p>Match ending question - I ought to know this, but realised all of a sudden I may have been doing this wrong for <em>years</em>!</p><p> </p><p>

Babyface DQ win over heel where heel's manager/partner/whatever interferes in plain sight of referee.</p><p> </p><p>

As it stands, I have the following notes set:</p><p> </p><p>

Babyface win</p><p>

Outside interference finish</p><p>

Babyface to be attacked by heel ally</p><p>

Match to end in DQ</p><p> </p><p>

Is that right? Seems correct... but as I was booking it just now, I had a moment of wondering...</p>

<p>just looking for some advice:</p><p> </p><p>

Joey Morgan spread rumours about John Greed.</p><p>

I decide to suspend Joey and he losses title that night.</p><p> </p><p>

John Greed thinks its harsh.</p><p>

Joey on the otherhand decides to turn most of the locker room against John.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

so, Joey is going to jobbersville when he returns and then down to RIPW.</p><p> </p><p>

my locker rook is at 55% moral, now I'm mega-pushing John, will the roster turn on him more, will it affect match quality?</p>

<p>I read you have to have 80 psych to be able to call in-ring...</p><p>

beneath 70 then script...</p><p> </p><p>

and 68, I read, is the "magic number" that if everyone has 68 Psychology they will be able to work a decent match without it being scripted.</p>

For every wrestler below that number, you'd get the road agent pop-up that they're not able to call it in the ring yet. So anyone below 61 psychology should not call a match in the ring period.</p><p> </p><p> And I believe whether you should call a match in the ring depends on the psychology <strong>in relation to the match rating</strong>. So, if you expect a match to rate around 80 and both fighters have more than 80 psychology you can/should call it in the ring. If they're below that you might want to script the match. Although I think longer matches tend to get penalized for scripting. So that's another thing to consider.</p><p> </p><p> I'm not sure if that's 100 % accurate or if anything has changed for TEW2016, but that's my approach whether to call a match in the ring.</p>

<p>So now that storylines don't impact momentum anymore, does anybody else just keep a few storylines going at once and just rotate workers in and out of it?</p><p> </p><p>

I've had one storyline going since April 1988, it's now August 1990. It started out as an IC title feud between Bret Hart and Rick Martel and through the years, is now a World title feud between The Undertaker and Roddy Piper. I can't even count the number of wrestlers that have been involved over the years.</p>
