It looks a lot like he's suffering from having a Comedy gimmick in a company that doesn't have much Comedy in it's Product (asuming he's autopushing to midcard or above) OR you are pushing him with a Gimmicky category gimmick and using him in lengthy segments, which is really bad for overexposing the gimmick.... both would result in the popularity loss you are seeing there, and I'm reckoning it's the latter. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

That's it!
I'm playing the 1985 database, and I notice by January 1986 ASWA, UWF (Japan), CWA (Memphis), and even Mid South Wrestling have all closed due to bankruptcy.

Already GLOW is suffering financial issues despite debuting in December of 85. ECWA, WWA, and EMLL have all had news stories about being in debt and on the verge of closing.

Is this just the mod having too many companies? is this just how the gameplay is supposed to be? or Am I just too awesome of a company for them to compete with me? (that last one was a joke i'm only at small size in the tri-state untouched by territorial wars)

This may be what has mislead you into the meaning and function of the feature as it would mean workers in the 80-89 popularity range would mistakenly have taken the morale hit when it should be reserved for those of 89 and above only. This is likely why you were giving examples of Jake et al, who would never be over enough to take the hit under normal conditions.

So with that said, that would explain why I had this happen with Roman Reigns in the game I had going.
Touring with band

Is there any way (editor or otherwise) to get a worker to come back from a tour with their band? I hired Jeff Hardy and he's listed as being gone for 3 months touring with his band and I kind of need him for the Hardy's to come in and continue their EXPEDITION OF GOLD in my company.

To my eyes, unless someone debuts as heel, turning heel happens because you either need to freshen up the character (Hogan in WCW) or because there's a need to be badass and win fans over again (see when Rocky Maivia turned heel and became the Rock). The former doesn't happen often because it's a last resort thing, the latter is narratively masqueraded as a series of big match losses that made the babyface snap and turn heel.

When you 'saved' a company by allowing them to exist as a development territory, there's no option (like WMMA4) to close them? What if you shot yourself in the foot and the upkeep is too high? They just drag you down in the abyss? I don't think that's a bug. I'm also pretty sure that whether a worker complains is heavily dependent on their personality.

Can someone tell me why some mentors will boost their protege more often than others?

For example Troy Tornado helps Mexicain atleast 1-2 times a month. While Josh Taylor helps Logan Wolfsbaine maybe 1 time every 2-3 month.

Is there a reason behind this?

I get the message that my trainers has "done all he can" and that he wants to be called back, but I just started the developmental camp and the workers there aren't "done" at all. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Is this because I signed him with a normal contract? Apparently there's a dev trainer contract but I won't wait a whole frickin' year before being able to offer it... <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

The boosting of proteges is random (I think). Maybe if they are generous they tend to share more. Could be another personality trait.

In my fed, British Samurai would initially give Miss Information/Viper McKenna psychology tips every month, then it went to every 2-3 months, then it stopped alltogether and he started giving her tips on how to better portray a babyface. I'm assuming the difference in psychology skill was vastly reduced and he had nothing more to teach her there.
