So, I created a new child company in Australia and created a worked called Paul Hogan (Crocodile Dundee) to be the owner of it. However, when I bring up the window for assigning a head booker and owner it doesn't list anyone.

The worker is a copy of another fed owner with some tweaks...

I made him based in Eastern Australia which is where the child company is based. What other requirements are there to be an owner? I also have his listed as being a movie star. Should that be removed?

Also, as a 2nd question, could anyone point me to a mod file which has a bunch of new female wrestlers in it? My game is currently in 1989 (started in 1985) and their aren't a whole lot of female wrestlers to be had. I've created some of my own, but was looking for some help.

Workers who are movie stars can leave for months at a time and that's not a suitable trait for an owner. No idea if that affects things but I'd think it should be a disqualifier. Also, make sure his owner preference settings (Style preference) fit the approximate product of the new company and that the owner isn't "too big" for it (Min Company Size). Look at the ? next to Other Genres. Paul Hogan was never a 'major movie star' (think: Cruise, DJ, maybe Will Smith at one time), even when Crocodile Dundee was an active franchise. I think giving him additional popularity in Australia would be enough to denote he was once really famous (but 'kids today', outside of Australia possibly, probably wouldn't be able to pick him out of a lineup).

Replacing a champion

My Women's World Tag Champs were loaned out to another company. Well, one of the workers ended up breaking her neck. So, if I understand correctly, if I go to the title screen, I can replace the person with the broken neck with another worker. Now, if I do this does it remove the entry for the person with the broken neck for winning that championship?

You can use the editor to put them massively in debt and zero their reputation/popularity/momentum. They won't get far after that, but the game allows them a grace period to recover so they'll stick around for a few months.

Otherwise, have a look in the mod section for some spare logos, maybe change the company name to suit, or even use logos from other mods if that might work.

Thanks for the reply! :)

I have actually done that, but the grace period is quite long before you can disband them. I figured I'd ask because I couldn't find any other way to get rid of them, but I guess that's the only way.

Got a question about how people run WWE in the post WWE Network era or leading up to that. I'm playing a 2012 game so I'm a ways off from actually erecting the Network, but I wanna know how I should do it once I get to that point in time.

Most RW games that start after the Network have it set as a Subscription Network, no? How profitable is that? Would it be more profitable to make it a PPV Network or Commercial Network? I would want to put NXT on there as well as my PPVs because that's really what WWE relies on now for their PPVs is it not?

Just looking for the path that leads to the most profit as well as serves a realistic purpose.

Thanks for your thoughts in advance guys.

Hello, so these past few days I have been knocking my head over this broadcaster stuff. I am currently playing under a custom made Japanese company in 1987. Planning to play this long term. I currently have 40M$ and I want to make my own broadcast. In Japan, I'm at 81 popularity. Here is my popularity in the rest of the world. <img alt="s3B6Fcp.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/s3B6Fcp.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

I want to extend worldwide, at least starting with North America. My question is, what type of broadcaster should I make? And what size? I still want to gain money. I'm #2 in the world. Could I please get some help? Thank you.

Thanks for your thoughts in advance guys.

My understanding of Commercial versus Subscription game mechanic wise is Sub has more money potential and Comm has more popularity potential. There might be slightly different requirements to realize those gains.

The most realistic for WWE Network is subscription because that's literally what it is. Having it as a commercial network would be like if WWE network were something you could just flip through on cable (like USA), which probably wouldn't fly real well with there actual commercial TV deals.

And frankly, making a new commercial broadcaster isn't particularly realistic in real life for anyone that isn't already a telecommunications company (think Comcast, GE, other major networks) since you have to have enough money/pull to actually get cable providers to offer it.

And it makes sense. How many people are going to want to pay for a subscription to watch something they aren't already a fan of? Its not a strong way to draw in new fans. It takes advantage of existing fans moreso.

And the WWE Network does (or at least did) function as a commercial network to an extent in some areas. When the WWE Network first launched here in Canada, it was only available on some cable carriers. When my cable carrier first started carrying it, they didn't offer the streaming service. The "$9.99 per month" got you a stand-alone WWE channel that showed 24 hour WWE programming, including the PPVs, NXT, etc. It took about two more years for the streaming version to be added. That was kind of a mixed situation and down to a whole host of reasons. But if the WWE had done that more widely and made their money from running more ads while being included in cable packages rather than as a stand-alone... that would have essentially been what the Commercial network in-game is. Both they launched their own subscription networks, both the WWE and UFC looked at buying existing channels to do that. So its not unthinkable.
