Albert Emett Albert Emett is a short, stocky worker who possesses an old-school, rugged, all-natural physique and is almost an immovable wall in the ring. Sounds good, except for one problem, Albert isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed. As such, he’s simply known for being the ever-devoted and constantly mistreated sidekick of Tony Flamingo. Emett absolutely adores the quite non-adorable Flamingo and thinks he’s the greatest wrestler in the world. He follows him around like a puppy doing everything he’s told to do, predominantly match interferences and doing all the hard work in tag matches to set up Flamingo for the late tag and pin. Emett always wears pants in the ring. This came about after - on debut - he naively wore a small, tight pair of trunks that failed to hide his sizeable girth, which got poor ol’, shy Emett lots of attention. The clever booker ran with it and Flamingo cut a memorable promo demanding he never wear trunks again, not wanting to be overshadowed by paling in comparison. The lads backstage still call him ‘Footlong’, much to his dismay. Tony Flamingo Tony Flamingo is a worker who has established himself as a solid heel persona. This is probably because of two reasons. One, his arrogant, cocky character is not far from his real self, something nobody has told him yet. Two, his amusingly loyal sidekick Albert Emett, a character that has been so successful it has naturally edged up Flamingo as a heel also due to the way he treats him. It could be said that Emett has overshadowed Flamingo, but nobody has told him that either. Jack Duke Jack Duke is a shit-talking extraordinaire. He claims that he used to be known as ‘V’, due to his upper muscle mass, but records don’t show it and nobody remembers it. O would be more like it, for he’d be a middleweight if not for his obesity, which bumps him up to heavyweight. The veteran has spent decades glorifying himself in blatantly fictitious promos and attempting to one-up his opponents. There’s no topic he hasn’t bragged about, although it mostly centres around how rich and powerful he is or was. You’d think his character would’ve become stale by now, but there’s just no end to the nonsense. His latest claim at the time of writing was the hovercraft he keeps in the back shed… Ron Cosmoe Ron Stett Cosmoe is a very wealthy businessman who scored a government contract for his recycling company just as society started caring for it. In the early 90’s he took over ____ with the desire to establish a genuine work-heavy promotion just like those he remembered as a kid. Unfortunately, not only have times changed, but he’s also seen as a bit of a pushover when dealing with workers and has lacked in the leadership department. Bringing in his loyalty-to-workers ethic to the wrestling world probably wasn’t a good idea. The end result is almost an opposite of what was intended, a roster mostly made up of overpaid, lazy workers that have a job for life. Cosmoe still seems to enjoy it all though. Zack Sheffield Zack ‘No Balls’ Sheffield is a former referee cum authority figure for _____. The brainchild of booker Braydon Church, Sheffield plays the role of a weak, insecure authority person who is pretty much paranoid of altercations. Nobody respects him and it works brilliantly within storylines. Cool Op Braydon “Cool Op” Church is the main face and head booker of ____, where he is also a two-time champion. He is a no-frills, level-headed customer who couldn’t play a heel no matter how hard he tried. Cool Op has the demeanour of a genuine nice guy and a look to match, although perhaps a touch bland, which has probably prevented him from achieving greater heights in the sport. Terry Wrist Terry Wrist is one half of the tag team aptly named ‘Al Kyder – Terry Wrist’. Slightly smaller than his partner, the tenacious middleweight may be an average worker, but has more front than mileage not matter who the opponent. They’re a menacing duo and have left a notorious reputation wherever they go. Their finisher is called a Hack Bar. Al Kyder The strong heavyweight Al Kyder is a career tag team worker alongside his partner Terry Wrist. Operating under the rather unimaginative name ‘Al Kayder – Terry Wrest’, the well-travelled heels have been committing dastardly acts all over the world for years, having also trained together initially at some secret location they strangely refuse to reveal. The man put on the best feuds at the time, although he never won a major title, did didn't bother Burnham though as he was old school and didn't really care for titles. After the death of Patrick Murdstone, Burnham decided that his GCW career was over and left to join Glory in the upstart of AOW.
