Tag Teams / Stables / Naming Thread Suggestions

Recommended Posts

Not really a tag team but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out a good ring name for Cody Hall. I guess if I had to I could go with that, but was hoping for his name to pay homage to Scott and his "adoptive uncles" Sean Waltman and Kevin Nash..

Well, you could do Sean 'Diesel' Ramon.

But I have slight jump, so bear with me on this one - one of the Need for Speed games had a villain named Razor Callahan. So, I propose Kevin 'The Kid' Callahan.

It gets Kevin Nash's name, pays homage to Waltman's more obscure '1-2-3 Kid', and still has a shoutout to Razor Ramon.

I'll study them and figure out which one really sticks. I have Sami Callihan on roster but may give him a different ring name if I go with the second choice <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

So, for like, a week, Waltman was known as The Cannonball Kid, and once upon a time Kevin Nash was known as Vinnie Vegas, so...

'Cannonball' Vinnie Hall.

Or, according to wikipedia, Waltman also went by The Hardluck Kid, so

'Hardluck' Vinnie Hall.

I feel keeping the family name is important, and I think the name fits how he looks.

Two Women's Tag Teams I need help with:

Laurel Van Ness & "Terra" (Tessa Blanchard). Van Ness is not "Hott Mess" Van Ness like she currently is in real life TNA just a b**chy heel and Terra I have booked to be pretty tough. Both just have the "old school heel" gimmick currently (open for suggestions on that as well, these two will be big players in my women's division some day (im currently running an 8 team tournament for my first Women Tag Titles in company history)).

Trish Stratus and Ivalisse threw them together, was going to be a one time thing, ended up having great chemistry so I think I'll see if I can make them work.

So I want to have a yearly tournament in my TCW save but I'm drawing a blank on the name. It'd be similar to the G1 Climax but I don't just want to take that name. I've searched around the forum for some ideas but couldn't find any ideas, so any help?

I dont want to sound lazy but im wondering if anyone can help me repackage my developmental roster I made for USPW, I am looking to rename them but i am currently stuck on ring names, they are under there default gimmicks, Abrams and Bradley are Gargantuan and Prometheus respectively and they need a team name and finisher, they are monster heels

Signing Jason Kincaid and Matt Cross together to be a team. Gonna start them as faces and very fact they are both skilled middleweights with 'Daniel-Bryan' beards so having that in mind trying to find a name and/or gimmick if anyone has ideas. I'm just seeing them more and more as a tag team and all I see are a couple of bearded guys plowing through the tag division.

They're the Billy Goats Buff, and their gimmick is that they're men who think that having a long, full beard is the sign of a strong man. They come out to Sharp Dressed Man, wear nice suits, and love to flex. Maybe they have angles about proper beard maintenance, or how to coordinate your outfit with your beard.

And it sets them up perfectly if you decide to turn them heel. They can just become Men's Rights Activists, and start talking about how men only started being 'disenfranchised' after we stopped viewing beards positively.

I have Simon Gotch with his handlebar mustache and has that cocky Neil Patrick Harris in 1000 Ways to Die in the West attitude about mustaches "don't trust a man who has a terrible mustache" haha but he also comes out to Nessun Dorma by Pavrotti. So in a way he's Aiden English without singing though. </p><p> I have a stacked roster of heel teams right now so one reason why I'm starting them as faces, but upon a heel turn I could have them team up with Simon Gotch well-dressed and well-groomed real men <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

On the one hand, it doesn't seem like this really fits with his background of extreme poverty. But then I suppose Kincaid could be the fashion pupil to Cross being the expert. And then as you go toward the heel turn, you could show Kincaid selling out to Cross' principles rather than his own. I suppose the real question is "Does Cross really have the charisma to lead Kincaid down the primrose path?"</p>

There gimmick be what it sounds like, two dudes who like to cause havoc and basically ruin all of the heel teams plans, and if they turn heel, they just want to cause Havoc on the entire company.</p>
