Discovered this diary last night, i read it top to bottom enthralled! The only problem i have with it is that i've caught up haha. I hope you have plans to continue you it for the foreseeable future. As a long time WCW fan (until the bitter end) i've really enjoyed it so far.

It's a shame Buff fizzled out in near identical fashion to real life, for all his baggage i do think he had talent. Wondering how long it's going to take the younger guys like AJ, Orton and Lesnar to play large roles. Enjoyed your decision to go with Daniels first as his a fair bit older than the rest of that crew iirc.

An important philosophy in my mind is that you can't push everyone at once, so there'll have to be winners and losers as people take their turns. I do have plans for some of the younger members of the roster in the months to come at least!</p>

Mike Tenay notes on commentary that both men have something to prove after their confrontation last week. LeRoux controls the opening stretch with dropkicks, hurricanranas and the Bourbon Street Blues jab combination. Storm and Awesome hold their Canadian Tag Team titles high, as Awesome trash-talks the Misfits: “Stupid Americans, can’t lace our boots, can’t hold our jock!” Morrus doesn’t like that one bit, and stands up to get in Awesome’s face when Storm hits him with a cheap shot. Team Canada brawl with Morrus, and a recovering LeRoux joins the fray — the Misfits send Storm and Awesome spilling to the outside with clotheslines! Morrus and LeRoux hug and celebrate as we head to commercial.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Kash has Parka on the run with arm-drags and crossbodies, but Parka rolls outside for a time-out. As Kash heads out to press his advantage, he finds that Parka was playing possum and is sent hard into the guardrail! Parka pummels Kash on the outside, slams his head into the commentary table then rolls him back inside. Page grins to his partner and says: “Mean Gene, me and Chris are going straight to the top. That means the WCW World Tag Team titles. Last week, we took care of the Dynasty, now this week we’re gonna—“ Page is cut off as Shawn Stasiak comes barrelling straight into him, followed by David Flair and Randy Orton! The Dynasty brawl back and forth with Page and Kanyon, but eventually get the best of both men, leaving them laying. Stacy Keibler comes striding into view with a sneer on her face: “We’re nobody’s stepping stone. You started this last week, but the Dynasty are going to finish it. Consider yourselves on notice.” She flips her hair and walks off haughtily with Stasiak, Orton and Flair close behind.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> We cut to Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan at the commentary desk, as Tenay shows a clip of Saturn attacking Booker T last week. “As a result of this savage unprovoked assault, Booker T received treatment at a local medical facility and cannot be here tonight — but he joins us now via satellite link from his home in Houston, Texas.” Booker is sat in his armchair looking a little uncomfortable as he explains the damage he suffered to his neck and ribs.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“I’m not medically cleared yet, the doctors won’t let me compete. But as soon as I’m cleared, you’re going to see me back in a WCW ring doing what I do best — fighting to be the very best, and laying it all on the line for the fans. And Perry Saturn? I don’t know whatchu thought you were doing pickin’ a fight with Booker T, but you got a receipt comin’ and as soon as I’m back, I’m comin’ for you, sucka. That’s a promise. A guarantee.” Mike Tenay thanks Booker for his time as the interview concludes.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> A smug Saturn looks quite pleased with himself as he walks down the aisle, as Heenan notes that “If you want to make a statement around here, what’s better than going after a four-time world champion? Saturn did what he had to.” Tenay scoffs, saying that “if you want to make a statement, do it between those ropes instead of sneak attacking someone backstage.” Saturn makes quick work of D’Lo in the early going, though the Real Deal gets a burst of offence including a running enzuigiri and a head-shaking leg-drop. He climbs up top for the Lo Down, but Saturn gets the knees up and instead locks in the Rings of Saturn, wrenching the hold tight as he forces D’Lo to submit.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The ring is dressed for Raven’s Nest and its host. “The Roman poet Juvenal once said that the people desire only two things: bread and circuses,” Raven states with a condescending smirk on his face. “As champion of the United States, it is time that you tired, poor huddled masses drink a tonic of laughter to brighten your empty and miserable lives. I’ve arranged a little entertainment for this evening, a clown if you will. Come on down, Norman Smiley.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

A somewhat confused Smiley wanders down to ringside, as Raven gives him some sarcastic applause: “Yes, Norman Smiley. How we love his antics, his heart, his Big Wiggle. I find you so funny, Norman. But I also find you curious, deeply curious.” Raven tilts his head to stare at Smiley, who looks like a deer trapped in headlights. “Curious as to why you’re getting in my way, stumbling into my addresses to the masses, running down after my matches.” He leans in closer with a malicious glare as a pained grimace flashes across Smiley’s face.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“I’m the WCW United States Champion, I’m a martyr for society’s dysfunction, and I am -not- a joke. I’m not going to sully myself with your opening match comedy routine, I’m not going to waste my time with you, so consider this a warning: get out of my ring or I’m going to make an example out of you, Norman.” Smiley looks terrified, shaking a bit and stood rigid. Raven continues snarling at him: “Get. Out. You disgust me, you pathetic waste of skin. What’ve you ever done, who’ve you ever beat?” Smiley clenches his teeth and closes his eyes, overwhelmed by the hate.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“You’re a joke and not even the good kind. Those people in the stands, they’re not laughing with you — they’re laughing at you. I’m laughing at you. Freak. Loser. Vermin. Worthless idio—“ Raven falls hard to the canvas as Smiley socks him out of nowhere with a strong right hand, and the crowd erupt! Smiley looks a bit shocked at himself but adopts a more determined pose and smiles ear to ear, as an embarrassed Raven throws a temper tantrum outside.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Jung Dragons, there is no saving your friend Jushin Liger. He is marked for destruction, and tonight all of you will discover that you can twist and turn, you can flip and dive… but there is no escaping divine retribution.” The cheesy dialogue seems to fall a little flat, but the six of them all strike their best scary poses to conclude.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Yang has Crowbar reeling and goes up top for the Yang Time, but Daniels shoves him and he crotches himself on the turnbuckle before spilling to the canvas. He gazes towards the stage with a huge grin on his face, yelling: “Come on, Liger! I have your friends, come get me!” Liger crawls out from under the ring and slides in behind Daniels, dazing him with a shotei! As Daniels goes rolling to the outside, spasming with shock, Liger despatches each Family member one by one with arm-drags and dropkicks until he’s the last man left standing! </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The camera pans through a quiet upmarket spa, before settling on Chuck Palumbo and Torrie Wilson, who are sharing a frothy hot-tub together. They clink glasses of champagne then turn to face the camera with huge smiles. “Oh, I didn’t see you come in,” Chucky exclaims with a grin, “let me just slip into something more comfortable.” He leans forward as Torrie grabs his ‘Chucky’ headband and ties it around his head. “Beautiful, just beautiful,” Chucky nods, before rolling his shoulders and addressing the camera.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

“Torrie and I were just celebrating my two straight victories against Sean O’Haire, and we got to thinking, why not three?” Chucky notes with an arrogant smile. “Sean just has excuse after excuse for why he can’t beat my sweet Chucky P,” Torrie drones, adding sarcastically: “Oh, Torrie distracted me with her loveliness. Oh, it was a handicap match. Oh, my dog ate my homework!” They both laugh uproariously, as if Torrie’s dog gag was the funniest thing in history. Chuck adopts a serious expression as he stares dead ahead: “At SuperBrawl there’ll be no excuses left for you, Sean. I’m going to prove I’m better than you, once and for all.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Eddy Guerrero works over Paris in the early going, but Paris manages to tag out to Flair. Eddy and Naitch go face to face as the crowd buzz, before exchanging hard chops and holds. In the end, Styles and Chavo are going back and forth with pin-attempts when Styles locks his hands and cradles Chavo for the three! The Giant’s music hits, and the WCW World Heavyweight Champion comes striding down to ringside with bad intentions! Flair tells Air Raid to that he wants to do this alone, and rolls out of the ring to brawl with Giant! Despite the size difference, Flair lays in a series of frenzied chops that cause Giant to start wobbling on his feet, before he floors Flair with a single overhead chop! Giant picks up Flair and drags him to the commentary desk, grabbing him around the neck and hoisting him high. He slams Flair hard through the table, monitors and all, as Mike Tenay’s headset starts buzzing and cracking. It’s utter chaos at ringside as the Giant roars over his fallen challenger!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

This should have been his opportunity to impress, but Bradley instead turned up to the tapings high on drugs and belligerent. He has been released from his developmental deal to make a statement. Word to the wise, don’t do drugs — and if you must, don’t do them right before a big career break.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Psychosis has returned from last month’s injury, and has been signed to a WCW deal — he is expected to resume his affiliation with WCW Television Champion La Parka and Abismo, as part of the Los Rudos faction. Psychosis impressed management during the King of Cruiserweight Trios tournament, but was forced out early due to injury and replaced in the semi-final with Super Crazy. Unlike Juventud Guerrera, Psychosis is considered a team player and safe pair of hands, and this no doubt added to his perceived value.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> WWF’s No Way Out 2002 event took place a few nights ago, and in a huge surprise, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall have returned to the promotion under their ‘Outsiders’ moniker. The nWo name is not being used, as it’s considered too iconic a property for WCW, but their gimmick appears to be the same — Hall and Nash caused chaos at WCW (backstage too, funnily enough) and have now returned back to the WWF, the proverbial outsiders in a promotion that has changed markedly since their last run. They got involved in the main event finish of WWF Champion Chris Jericho retaining over Steve Austin.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Conspicuous by his absence is Hulk Hogan, the third of the original nWo trio. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Sean O’Haire opens the show, striding down to ringside as we see a replay of Chuck Palumbo’s challenge last week: “At SuperBrawl there’ll be no excuses left for you, Sean. I’m going to prove I’m better than you, once and for all.” O’Haire paces back and forth in the ring then grabs a microphone, inhaling deeply before speaking. “I accept,” he states simply, “but I don’t want to wait until SuperBrawl, we’re going to do this tonight.” The crowd cheer wildly as O’Haire screams down the microphone: “Come on, Chuck! The nail polish can wait, get your preening metrosexual ass out here!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Chuck Palumbo’s music plays as the Chuck Magnet himself comes striding out, looking pissed-off. Torrie pulls at the sleeve of his bathrobe as Palumbo cracks his knuckles and begins making his way down to ringside: “No, Chucky, no! Fight him on -your- terms, it’s a trick… it’s a trap!” Palumbo hits the ring as O’Haire rushes to meet him, and the two exchange huge shots, brawling against the ropes and into the corner. Torrie shrieks for help, as security personnel begin streaming out trying to separate the two men. They finally create some distance, until O’Haire breaks free and attacks Palumbo again! The security finally separate them again, and a bloodied Chuck has a twisted grin on his face, O’Haire’s shots having opened a cut under his eye. Torrie cups his face and lays kisses on his injured cheek, tears in her eyes: “You shouldn’t have, Chucky, you shouldn’t do this to me.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

We want those Cruiserweight Trios titles to prove we’re the best high-flying team around, and we’ve found the perfect partner.” Styles and Paris step to one-side as Billy Kidman walks into frame, smirking and folding his arms. “That’s the most decorated Cruiserweight in WCW history,” Paris exclaims excitedly. “Radicalz,” Kidman states with a confident wide smile, “I hope you’re ready. The Dragons dazzle with some highly-coordinated dives and kicks, and Liger cleans house with rolling kicks and palm thrusts. Kid Vicious and Crowbar actually roll from the ring and begin retreating up the ramp with Daffney, leaving Reno and the Bull to be quadruple-teamed. Reno is put away with a Liger Bomb, as Mike Tenay exclaims that “cracks are showing in the foundations of James Mitchell’s family! The Sinister Minister hasn’t been seen in weeks, he was the glue holding these men together!” Liger and the Dragons celebrate, as Liger motions around his waist indicating that he hasn’t forgot about Daniels’ Cruiserweight Championship.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> A table and chairs have been set up in the ring, as Arn Anderson introduces the champion and challenger for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship bout at SuperBrawl. Ric Flair struts down to the ring in a slick pinstripe suit, while Giant wears his usual singlet and slacks. Giant snarls across the table at Anderson: “I know you and Flair are buddies, so if this is some sort of set-up, don’t think I won’t hesitate to beat -both- your asses.” He snatches for a pen and signs his name, before tossing it carelessly across the table to Flair.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The Nature Boy grins as he puts his own name to the contract, and says that “I don’t need set-ups, ambushes and double-crosses, Giant. I’m the dirtiest player in the game, I love to bend the rules when an opportunity presents itself… but I’m still the most talented, most driven, most dangerous professional wrestler of this or any other generation, woooo! I am a Wrestling God, and I hope you enjoy every last day with that WCW Heavyweight Championship of the World, because at SuperBrawl, she’s coming over to me! Woooo!” Giant and Flair stare each other down from across the table, before Giant snorts and rises to his feet, his voice dripping with condescension: “I don’t have time for this, -gramps-.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

He turns to leave the ring, then as Flair begins chatting casually to Anderson, Giant turns and charges forward with a single swift and powerful tackle, taking down Flair and causing Anderson to stumble and fall! Giant begins to pound on the grounded Flair, before flipping him and wrenching him backwards in the Colossal Clutch! Flair’s face is turning bright red as the Giant begins to laugh, exposing the whites of his canines. “Wooo, huh?” Giant roars mockingly, “yeah, you’re my Nature -Bitch-, old man! At SuperBrawl, you’re dead!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Page gets an initial burst of offence, but Orton cuts him off and begins grinding down on the veteran with chinlocks and backbreakers. Kanyon slaps the mat in rhythm to cheerlead the crowd, as DDP feeds off their energy and begins mounting a comeback. Page hits the discus clothesline and gutwrench powerbomb on Orton, as Stacy pulls Flair and Stasiak into another huddle. DDP hits the Diamond Cutter, but as he covers Orton, Flair and Stasiak rush the ring to put the boots to Page, and the referee calls for the DQ! Smiley screams in pain as the camera cuts to Raven, who is clearly enjoying the beating, giving Saturn a round of applause. Saturn continues the beatdown, setting up for the Moss-Covered Three-Handled Family Gradunza. Smiley somehow wriggles out and rolls Saturn up for a flash-pin, as Raven yells: “No, come on! Both men begin stomping Smiley into the ground as he lets out screams of pain, before the crowd let out a deafening roar! Booker T sprints down to ringside like lightning and begins laying lefts and rights to both Saturn and Raven! Booker sends Raven spilling to the outside with a clothesline, before laying out Saturn with a Book End, then finishing him off with the Axe Kick. Booker shakes back and forth as he feels the crowd’s energy, before helping Smiley to his feet — the nervous grappler looking almost starstruck to be in Booker’s presence. The two celebrate as Raven watches from the ramp with a smirk, and Saturn groans in pain on the floor.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The show opens with Ric Flair, Booker T, Sean O’Haire and Norman Smiley backstage facing the camera. “Woooo! Tonight, it’s going to be the Nature Boy, the Booker Man, the Widow Maker and…” Flair breaks off as he eyes Norman Smiley up and down, asking: “Do you have a nickname, a moniker?” Smiley goes all wide-eyed and shakes his head, before Flair turns back to face the camera, not skipping a beat: “It’s going to be the Nature Boy, the Booker Man, the Widow Maker and that guy against The Giant, Raven, Chuck Palumbo and Perry Saturn! SuperBrawl starts early, it’s gonna be chaos, baby! Woooo!” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

As Smiley twitches at the idea of chaos, Booker steps in and adds: “Big time main-event, we got our game faces on, dog! Perry Saturn, you better watch out for Booker T or you won’t make it to SuperBrawl. Now can you dig that, Sucka?!” O’Haire pounds his fists together, stating “there won’t be any security to hold me back tonight, Chuck. You’re going to bet a taste of what’s in store when we fight one-on-one on Sunday.” Smiley bites his tongue and yelps as Flair responds to the trash-talking with a hearty “Woooo!” And Giant, brother, you know I’m coming for what’s mine at SuperBrawl, the WCW Heavyweight Championship of the World! You better believe it, son! Woooo!”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Styles runs wild early with spectacular dropkicks and hurricanranas, before La Parka cuts him off and begins to work on his ribs with elbows and an abdominal stretch. Styles squirms out and hooks Parka into the Styles Clash, but Chavo Guerrero Jr. rolls from under the ring and quickly decks him, causing Parka and Styles to collapse on top of each other in an ugly mess. Styles gets the disqualification win, but Parka holds onto his title!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> It’s pandemonium! Air Paris hits the ring to tackle Chavo, as Eddy Guerrero and Dean Malenko run from the crowd to take out Air Raid! Abismo is somewhere in the dog-pile too, trying to extract La Parka from the melee! The Radicalz put the boots to Air Raid and even Los Rudos, as Eddy shimmies back and forth and yells: “We’re the [redacted], esse!” The censor had to work hard there. The crowd explode as Billy Kidman comes running down the ramp, and he begins offloading on the Radicalz and those poor Rudos like a man possessed! Air Raid recover, and the three babyfaces toss the Radicalz and the Rudos out of the ring, before finishing them off with a trio of sensational dives! The young Cruiserweights punch the air as Mike Tenay screams: “Is this Kidman and Air Raid’s time? </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Arn Anderson is watching the melee on-screen in Shane McMahon’s office, and shakes his head a little as he mutters: “What a headache, I’m getting too old for this.” He turns to face the camera, then smiles politely. “Fans, you’re guaranteed bodies flying everywhere at the WCW Cruiserweight Trios championship match at SuperBrawl. But there’s one pay-per-view bout where I’ve seen enough interference from third-parties. Christopher Daniels, I’m barring your Family from ringside at Sunday, and to be fair, Jushin Thunder Liger, the Jung Dragons will also be barred.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

He reaches somewhere behind him and grabs a WCW-branded coffee mug, sipping from it as he thoughtfully hums. “And you know what, since everybody around here tries to do what they want anyhow, I’m going to go one step further. Daniels will defend the Cruiserweight championship against Liger in a steel cage. There will be -no- interference, no escape and no mercy.” He sips his coffee again, a macabre smirk passing over his face. “We’re going to find out who the better man really is, one on one.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

He turns around to lay the cup down, and is surprised to see Ric Flair lazing in his armchair with a big grin on his face. “Don’t you have a match to prepare for tonight?” Arn queries as he sits down next to him. “You should know,” Ric replies with a chuckle, “you booked it. I’m just here to tell you, I know we go way back, brother… but when I win the World Heavyweight Championship at SuperBrawl, I don’t want you to go easy on me just because we’re friends. I want the toughest challengers, the biggest main-events, and afterwards the hottest ladies! Woooo!” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Arn smiles at him, chewing his words over before speaking. “I wouldn’t expect anything else from the Nature Boy. But Ric, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I was worried about you. I warned Shane McMahon about the Giant, he didn’t listen, and that’s how I got stuck running the ship around here. That Giant is a monster, and I don’t want him doing the same thing to you, Ric. Not at your age.” Flair balks at the last four words, as if it were a slap to the face, before he rises to his feet and gives Arn an intense stare: “I’m not Shane McMahon, you know that. I’m the Man. And to prove that, I’ve got to beat the Giant, I’ve got to be the Champion. It’s too late for second thoughts now, brother.”</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

A candle burns in reverse, the footage sped up. A camera lifted to the sky, spinning madly as the constellations blur before our eyes. Arcane and mysterious symbols written in chalk on a basement floor. We hear a whispering voice speaking tongues, then the unmistakable sound of James Mitchell. “That is not dead which can eternal lie… and with strange aeons even death may die. I found it, I found it. And yet the words were strange, each sentence seared my mind and the revelation… it nearly drove me mad.” </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

We hear deep breathing as we pan in on a thick leather-bound grimoire covered in pentagrams, and seemingly stained with blood. “My Family needs me, needs me, needs me… grows weak, I need to show them, need to show them all…” The grimoire’s cover flips open and flicks through page after page of eldritch writing and drawings, before settling on a page of a skeletal creature with a bald head and an ankh symbol on his chest.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Mike Tenay notes on commentary that Team Canada won their titles from KroniK in shady fashion, and Brian Adams and Bryan Clark have been itching for payback. Adams gets in some power-based offence on Mike Awesome in the early goings of the bout, but Awesome eventually outmuscles him and tags out to Lance Storm. Storm wears down Adams until he makes the hot tag to Clark, but manages to cut him off too. Storm locks in the Canadian Maple Leaf, and after a few moments of Clark yelling and straining, he’s forced to tap. A surprisingly clean and one-sided victory for the WCW Canadian Tag Team Champions.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Team Canada are celebrating in the centre of the ring as the Misfits In Action come out on stage. “Boys, what you did last week just wasn’t cool,” Lash LeRoux notes. “Attacking us from behind, laying us out… it’s just a… help me out here, Hugh. I can’t find the word to describe what they did.” Hugh Morrus scratches his chin thoughtfully, asking: “Cheap? Lousy? Crummy? Dreadful? Awful?” LeRoux shakes his head, frowning: “No, no, that’s not it.” Storm furrows his brow in the ring as he and Awesome watch on perplexed.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Hugh Morrus tosses out more suggestions: “I know! Atrocious. Terrible. Inadequate. Appalling. Unsatisfactory. Abhorrent. Not good. Rotten. Vile.” LeRoux shakes his head more insistently, “No, it’s…” Suddenly, manure seems to fall from the arena ceiling, and it starts raining down thick and heavy on Storm and Awesome as they cower and shield their heads. The manure continues to plop down hard as LeRoux grins wide and exclaims: “That’s it! What you did to us last week was -crappy-. So there’s a little payback, boys!” Morrus laughs hard, holding his nose as he yells “woo, you can smell it from here!” As an excrement-covered Mike Awesome yells and kicks the ropes, Storm just stares miserably at the Misfits, a glob of manure covering his mouth and all over his scalp.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Description:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The Giant’s team for tonight address the camera, and appear quite the motley crew. Giant towers over them all with a mean expression, Raven is off to one side looking dirty and tired, Chuck Palumbo is in a snow-white bathrobe with Torrie Wilson on his arm, and Perry Saturn is taping his fists with a look of laser-etched focus. Giant snarls at each of his team-mates before speaking. “I don’t like any of you. I don’t respect any of you. But Ric Flair, Booker T and the rest of them… I like them even less. Let’s do what we have to do, let’s kick their asses and get this over with.” He strides off-screen, leaving only Raven, Chucky and Saturn.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Chuck Palumbo peers at his two partners. “The only reason I even agreed to this was that teaming with all you makes me look even more beautiful by contrast.” Torrie brushes his bleach-blond locks with one hand as he turns to Raven: “A kilt and dreadlocks, really? Are you from Scotland or Jamaica?” He then looks to Saturn. “When was the last time you even showered?” Chucky flares his nostrils then leaves with Torrie. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Raven and Saturn turn to stare each other down, as Saturn snorts: “I may have lost that number one contender’s match last week, but once I’m done with Booker, I’m coming right back after that title. You better hope that joke Smiley takes it from you, or things are going to get a lot more… unpleasant for you.” He strides off, leaving Raven alone to clutch his WCW United States Championship closely and smirk in bemused indifference.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Match Report:</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Sean O’Haire and Chuck Palumbo start things off, and O’Haire throws Chucky around the ring. Chuck has had enough of that, and tags out to Raven before rolling outside and getting an emergency massage from Torrie Wilson. O’Haire despatches Raven with a clothesline and heads outside to continue the beating on Palumbo! Chucky throws his hands up after Raven attacks O’Haire from behind, having had enough — he walks to the back with Torrie Wilson close behind, leaving his team down three to four! </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Raven works on O’Haire, but the Widow Maker eventually breaks free and gets the hot tag to Booker T, who runs wild on Raven and lays out Saturn with a spinning kick when he tries to get involved! Ric Flair is tagged in next, and he continues to wear down Raven with knife-edge chops and rolling knee-drops. Saturn goes after Booker on the apron, but Booker clambers down and brawls with him on the outside, before sending him sprawling against the guard-rail. </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Raven crawls to the corner to tag in Giant, who instead steps off the ring apron and lounges back against the commentary table, snorting that “I don’t tag with losers.” As Flair tags in Norman Smiley, Raven argues with Giant — and is surprised with a roll-up and pinned! Norman Smiley has scored an upset over the United States Champion, and Raven is livid! The babyfaces stand tall in the ring as Mike Tenay reminds us to tune in for SuperBrawl on Sunday!</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The main-event disappointed, and there was no individual focus on the four feuds in question. This may be a lesson that they learn swiftly, as WCW’s continued survival hinges on their television product steadily building feuds and match-ups that their audience will pay to see on pay-per-view. In the past WCW both sacrificed too many pay-per-view quality match-ups on free TV and took the PPV cards for granted, rarely announcing anything more than a main-event throughout 1999 and 2000 — a fatal combination that led to WWF purchasing the company outright.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> Brian Adams has been granted a month’s time off, as management had no plans for him as a singles competitor at present. His tag team partner Bryan Clark is currently serving a month’s suspension after starting a fight backstage. As KroniK were already being deemphasised in recent weeks, this is unlikely to change anything for TV viewers.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> In one of those moments where you’re not sure whether to laugh or cry, the Wall was found to be clearly under the influence of hard drugs during his dark match at the last Saturday Night. Given that he had just returned from eight months of rehab, management had no choice but to release him from his contract, all other avenues having been exhausted.</div><br /></li><li><div style="margin-left:25px;"> The next worker to be promoted from developmental is forty-year old Rico Constantino, who started his wrestling career late but has shown promise in OVW, holding their Heavyweight and Tag-Team championships. It seems too late in the game for WCW to put too much stock in Constantino given his age, but I suppose we’ll see how they utilise him in the weeks and months to come. Recent promotions, such as Masked Superstar (Chad Collyer), the Basham Brothers and Rob Conway have been used largely as dark match enhancement talent so far, getting experience working in front of crowds and elevating other talent.</div><br /></li></ul><p></div></p><p> </p><p> Get ready for the Biggest Brawl of them All!
