Someone calls for an ambulance, and the segment cuts to the ring, where general manager Dharma Gregg is in the spotlight, looking somber.</p><p> </p><p> "Earlier tonight, our Higa was mysteriously attacked and subsequently taken to hospital. She is alive, but the full extent of her injuries are not yet known. Your paper mill will start and nothing will come out of it as usual. But you know what? I swear I will expose who's behind this, and if the trail goes all the way to the top like I suspect, prepare for this house to come tumbling down upon you!"</p><p> </p><p> Gregg looks like she's shrinking where she's standing in the ring. The leader of the Ronin 3 throw her jeans vest (with the Ronin 3 emblem on the back) to her manager, Vinny Cruz and snarl at Christy Higgins.</p><p> </p><p> When the bell rings, Jarvis immediately look to close the distance and tries to lock around Higgins' neck, and since Christy refuses to back down, it soon becomes clear that she's still hurting from the attack by Talia Quinzel and Claire Winters just two days earlier and her pain is apparent as Jarvis first inch by inch gain the upper hand, then throws Higgins to the floor where they wrestle for a long time, Jarvis patiently pressing Higgins back to the floor, while Higgins have little to do but expend all her energy keeping a shoulder off the mat.</p><p> </p><p> Eventually, Christy reaches a rope, and they get back up to standing wrestling again. She tries to get some offence going by using the ropes for momentum, and while she manages to get some good kicks in, and a couple of clotheslines that has Jarvis reeling, anytime she's about to take over the match, her injuries make themselves reminded and the experienced Jarvis have time to recover. Once they get in the ring, Alexis Lee waits patiently for the boos to calm down before speaking.</p><p> </p><p> "Do you feel proud of yourself Talia? Ambushing a team mate who put her body on the line for you. And for what? To make sure we noticed when you left American Sweethearts? We would have noticed anyway, that the entitled whining had stopped." </p><p> </p><p> "If my actions bring the hypocrisy of your little tea club to light, then yes Alexis, I am proud of myself. Women are used to be held back by invisible glass ceilings, but when they're maintained by who you thought were your sisters, it is natural to react violently."</p><p> </p><p> "What glass ceiling...?" Alexis sounds like she lost the thread somewhere halfway.</p><p> </p><p> "The one that allow has-beens and second rate hopefuls to float above, preventing the better wrestler to rise to the top. That better wrestler is ME!" Talia is about to get in Alexis face, but Teresa Perez who were about to say something changes her mind, drops her microphone and jumps Talia and starts to pummel her. It is clear however that Perez anger is not enough to make up the difference in stature and power between the two, and when Talia has had enough she tosses Teresa across the ring. The two match up well, trading offense until they both exhausted tag in their teammates to a round of applause from the crowd.</p><p> It's as if Claire and Alexis start a singles match as both their partners are too out of it to affect the match. Alexis technical skill mostly compensates for the difference in size and power between the two, but it is clear as time goes on that Alexis is getting worn down. She tries to make the tag, but Claire catches her and carries her over to their ring corner, slamming her to the floor before tagging in Talia who power bombs Alexis, then tags in Claire again who uses the whole ring as run up before delivering her Flying Knee Strike, followed by the pin. </p><p> <strong>Winters win by pinfall in 10:06</strong></p><p><strong> Match Rating: C-</strong></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> <span>http://i.imgur.com/vrW0gLX.jpg</span> </p><p> Laura Flames is already waiting in the ring as the tunes of Aesop Rock's Defender hits from the speaker system as the giant screen comes alive with a 3D-rendered knight's shield with the colors and logo on it, and fireworks going off, bouncing off the shield in all directions.</p><p> </p><p> <a href="https://youtu.be/focgsmxHe5I" rel="external nofollow"><em>I said, "I'll take first watch"</em></a></p><p><em> 1 AM defend the whole block...</em></p><p> </p><p> Having acknowledged a few fans in first row, Foxxy runs down the ramp and slides into the ring and is up in Laura Flame's face almost the moment she's on her feet, Flame showing with raised hands she wants no part of it. Turning back to the crowd, Foxxy jumps up on the middle turnbuckle and raise her hands in the air urging the crowd to get loud. The response is alright, but they don't bring the house down. It is clear it's not the home crowd they're used to. Laura tries to trick Foxxy into some bad spots and once gets an opportunity to deliver her Flame Fire Kick and even gets a two count before Foxxy gets back up. Instead, it is LaRue that shows that kicks is her specialty as well. She steps into the ring and meticulously takes off the cape and jewellry, then gestures for a referee to get into the ring. Announcer Alfonso Garcia steps into the ring as well with a microphone. </p><p> </p><p> "What is the meaning of this, Maribel? Your match is not happening tonight." Alphonso says, looking confused.</p><p> </p><p> "This is a competition. It is up to the participants to show up, prepared to fight. If my opponents does not want to face me, they are welcome to leave walk over. Referee, start the match if you please." Maribel waves her hand dismissively at referee Dale Kenney.</p><p> </p><p> Alfonso seems to be listening to instructions he's getting through his earpiece. "Personally, I don't think this is right, but I'm getting confirmation that there is no option to postpone a competition game. Referee,"</p><p> </p><p> Kenney shrugs his shoulders, then give the signal to the time keeper to start the match.</p><p> </p><p> Maribel leans back against the ropes, patiently. "I don't see Higa here. Shouldn't you count her out?"</p><p> </p><p> "Right. Er, 1, 2, 3...</p><p> </p><p> ...8, 9, 10" Kenney finishes the count and the bell rings. Maribel walks up to him, indicates that he should raise her arms. </p><p> </p><p> "Winner by...count out? Maribel Mercado"</p><p> </p><p> With a smug smile, Maribel walks out to boos from the crowd. </p><p> <strong>Segment Rating: D</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="42699" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><span>http://i.imgur.com/UsrKpsP.jpg</span> vs <span>http://i.imgur.com/ZGbvgUH.jpg</span> <p> <strong>Match 5: Maria Guest vs Capitano</strong></p><p><strong> </strong>Having gotten robbed of the promised match between Higa and Mercado, the crowd is anxious for some action, which the two youngest wrestlers on the roster are just happy to provide them with. Showing good technical skill, the two go through a long chain of holds, with Guest getting the upper hand until Capitano brings the fight outside the ring.</p><p> More free to apply her dirty tactics, Capitano makes sure Maria Guest make close friends with the metal stair steps up to the ring and with the bare ring post after Capitano grabs Maria's head and shoves it into the post a number of times until Guest barely look conscious. </p><p> Rolling her into the ring, Capitano goes for the pin, but somehow Maria find strength to kick out. Capitano complains to the referee about his slow count, then goes for her marquee move, a springboard 450. The first time, Maria rolls to the side and Capitano aborts the dive into a nice landing. Tyler controls the match, cutting off the ring with Chitose constantly on the move, using the ropes to great effect, delivering dropkicks, hurricanranas and cutters while Brooke threatens with big hits that will change the match once they hit, and of course eventually one does. Croft slowly gets to her feet and stumles out of the corner. Huracán goes in for the kill, exactly what Croft was waiting for as she comes alive, dodging the high kick with a leg sweep, and just as suddenly as it looked like Huracán could come out of this with a win against the champ, she is stuck in a Memphis Deathlock, desperately looking for a way to break the grip, claw her way to the ropes, anything. The agony is clear on her face as she battles the pain and the realization there is no way out, and finally she taps. Sarah flails after them, catching one in the air, the other two landing by her feet.</p><p> </p><p> Sighing as she puts the note back on the wall.</p><p> </p><p> "I think there's a lesson in here somewhere. It would have been a disaster if she hadn't called. At least now I have 24 hours to figure out what to do with her match. It's strange to say, but she saved my skin."</p><p> </p><p> "Well, it balances out the brawl with Purple Viper she was involved in last week, and the shouting match with Maria before that." Boss Man says while helping her put the other post it notes back in place. </p><p> </p><p> Sarah takes a seat, looking at the plans she's laid out from a little distance.</p><p> </p><p> "Yeah, she's not the easiest to deal with," Sarah concedes. </p><p> </p><p> "Understatement of the year. There had been a time when QAW was bankrolled through Farrah's paychecks from the New York promotion, a time when her little wrestling company out of Houston was seemed as a cute little pet project that the wrestling veteran sunk way too much money into. If they had wanted to, NYPW could probably have stopped Farrah's dream project in it's tracks, but their relationship had always been good, and paychecks kept rolling in, and QAW grew, without much fanfare. </p><p> </p><p> Sarah had thought of asking Farrah if it wasn't time to quit the job with NYPW and focus on QAW, but truth was, at the commentary they could manage if someone was absent for a night. Bossman Brayfield had sat in one night, and Alfonso and Grace had such good chemistry between them from the time the company had a two person commentary team, they could manage on their own.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>S:</strong> How's New York?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>F:</strong> Humid, rude, loud. Not necessarily in that order.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>S:</strong> I hope we can put up a show there sometime. Give the big dogs some competition.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>F:</strong> Let's not wake them up for now, ok? We're getting slammed on social media again by trolls proclaiming us the death of "real" wrestling. I went on the Wrestling Gazetteer podcast with Billy Barton last week. We talked about a lot of things, but Billy Barton brought up the success of QAW and if that would harm or benefit other companies in the same market. I may have said that if the demise of trash promotions like ELITE was thanks to our success, I'd consider it a boon for the whole wrestling industry. Billy asked if I had something against hardcore wrestling, completely misunderstanding my point. Even though I clarified it was the blatant sexism I disliked, not their style of wrestling, it seems enough of their fans raged at what was said that Brother Grimm felt he had to write an official response.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>S:</strong> Looking for it... Found it. Blah Blah blah, blind hatred blah blah blah an enemy of GSW blah blah blah, racism? Really? </p><p> </p><p> <strong>F:</strong> I don't think he listened to the interview. GSW is on the ropes, and we are constantly winning the regional battle in the south west without even putting up shows. People rather stay home and watch our shows on streams than pay tickets for what GSW put up. Maybe he thinks it would help to unite the "troops" against an external enemy. I wouldn't worry too much about it, if Grimm really wants a fight he'll come to regret it. We can take them if we need to.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>S:</strong> IPW have released a brief statement as well. A bit more polished, but basically in support of Grimm. I thought they hated each other.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>F:</strong> They're willfully misunderstanding. I don't care about IPW either though. If they don't even bother to listen to what I said or ask for a clarification, they can die in a fire for all I care. 'm tempted to cancel our COTT alliance so we can go in and put on shows in LA. I'm sure they'd be thrilled.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>S:</strong> Speaking of other things, I have the June financial report. Want to see it?</p><p> </p><p> <strong>F:</strong> Sure. We've had some good years, but both the wrestling industry and the economy at large is tanking fast. If we can keep making profits, it will show just how sturdy this company is. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>S:</strong> Maybe not the right time, but I want to invest in our production values. A real ramp, pyro, video editing. I think that angle with Perez last week tanked because we didn't have the proper capabilities to do the idea justice. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>F:</strong> Ok. You have the wallet, spend it on whatever you think is necessary. </p><p> </p><p> <strong>S:</strong> Really? Put a QAW logo on it, make sure we can use it in an angle sometime. We need advertising, and I want my head booker to drive a real car. Whatever you are driving now looks ridiculous. Even though it was clear through the match that the heels worked better as a team than their two Japanese opponents, keeping the match even, it was after a rare combo from Ariwara and Arihyoshi that Chitose could pin Snyder for the win. </div><div><b>Chitose Ariwara wins in 12:06 by pinfall.</b></div><div><b>Match Rating: D+</b></div><div><br/></div><div>http://i.imgur.com/SrJMR1G.jpg vs http://i.imgur.com/oz8ZpSz.jpg <b>Match 1: Killer Kass vs Shockwave Champion Purple Viper</b></div><div>A match that could have been rather one sided if it weren't for the many tricks of the masked Viper. Raking her opponent across the eyes, a mist attack, once trying to get Kass counted out by getting her stuck outside the ring in the crowd barriers, nothing seemed to help as Killer Kass combined power and surprising speed to overwhelm the Shockwave champion. Kass applied the Kill Switch, and the referee counted to three.</div><div><b>Killer Kass wins in 10:27 by pinfall.</b></div><div><b>Match Rating: C-</b></div><div><br/></div> http://i.imgur.com/SrJMR1G.jpg http://i.imgur.com/tjDJHC2.jpg <div>Killer Kass is celebrating in the ring, having her arm raised by the referee, and is oblivious that a hooded figure with the American Sweethearts logo on the back is climbing up on the corner post behind her. Pulling the hoodie back, revealing her face, Teresa Perez raises her arms signalling she's about to take air. </div><div><br/></div><div>It's not until the very last moment that Kass notices that something is going on, turns and is hit in the head with a stiff drop kick, crumbling to her knees, looking pretty out of it, while Perez doesn't even pause before taking off for the opposite ropes to gain the speed necessary for drop kick number two, this time catapulting Kass out of the ring. Being on the defense is not what Kass is used to, and rather than fight back, she starts backing off, up the ramp. Teresa makes an initial attempt to continue the assault, but this time Kass is prepared and powerfully just shoves her smaller opponent back towards the ring, and hurries backstage.</div><div><br/></div><div>Teresa grabs a microphone and climbs back into the ring, catching her breath and letting the fan reaction die down before saying anything.</div><div><br/></div><div>"Last week, I swore I would find out who was behind the attack on my friend Higa, and that there would be retribution. This is the first thing I found," she says, pointing to the big screen.</div><div><br/></div><div>Black and white footage from the arena's CCTV security cameras show what appears to be Higa walking past the loading bays when a hulking individual that is immediately recognizable as Killer Kass runs up from behind, laying into the smaller wrestler with her fists. The footage is sped up, but the time stamp shows how Kass is taking her time, brutalizing the by now lifeless Higa. At some point she seems satisfied and gets up, looks around for a moment then calmly walks away.</div><div> </div><div>"There you have it, the perpetrator. This does not stop with Kass though. She will learn to regret attacking one of ours, but my investigation goes on. The trail isn't cold, and there are people in this company that should be sweating bullets by now."</div><div><br/></div>http://i.imgur.com/koWhAJc.jpg <div>At this, the music of Maribel Mercado hits and the "Heiress of QAW" enters in all her opulence. She soaks in the boos as she steps into the ring where Teresa is looking on with a suspicious look.</div><div><br/></div><div>"Dear, this has to stop. You are boring these poor people to death with your little conspiracy theories. You could have just asked, and I would have explained it all to you."</div><div><br/></div><div>"Oh really? I'd love to hear this." Perez cocks her head.</div><div><br/></div><div>"A match between the great Maribel Mercado and a nobody like Higa, as amusing as I might find it, it would be so humiliating to the poor girl. And while everyone wants to see me in the ring, a one sided affair like this would have been is just a waste of everybody's time. "</div><div><br/></div><div>"I think you underestimate Higa a bit. So are you saying you hired Killer Kass to take out Higa and prevent the match?"</div><div><br/></div><div>"You are sooo crude. I paid Kass a consulting fee to make everyone's experience of Contender's Crown II so much more enjoyable, and save Higa some face." Maribel waves dismissively at Teresa, and does not notice the other hooded figure sliding into the ring behind her. Not until the figure leaps up planting her knees in Maribel's back, delivering a perfect backbreaker that sends a flailing Maribel flying through the air like a rag doll.</div><div><br/></div> http://i.imgur.com/xYuulxj.jpg <div>Getting to her feet, the attacker pulls back her hood, revealing that it is Higa, her head bandaged but otherwise looking ready to fight, hurling insults in Japanese at Maribel, challenging her to get back in the ring, but Mercado like Kass decides discretion is the better part of valor, backing out with a hand to her hurting back, looking angrily at Higa and Perez who now rule the ring, doing their best to get the crowd going. </div><div><b>Segment Rating: D</b></div><div><br/></div><div>http://i.imgur.com/JDg7ZNg.jpg vs http://i.imgur.com/omWPFiT.jpg <b>Match 2: Christy Higgins vs Laura Flame</b></div><div>With Higgins still taped up, Laura Flame sees an opportunity and works the neck relentlessly, the pain apparent on Christy's face. She responds by using her greater speed, and increase that advantage when Laura lands badly after trying to land on her feet after a suplex. The time before that, zero successful defences before dropping the titles to another two misfits, Alexis Lee and Maria Guest. You are a joke, and I would be happy to demonstrate that, right here, right now." Talia drops the microphone, showing she's ready to go, and immediately, Deborah Young is up in her face. When Charity is tagged in, she provides a welcome change of pace, using pace and momentum to topple her larger opponents. There's a moment when she plants Claire Winters with a DDT that it looks like she's going to win the match all by herself, but Claire kicks out at just before the three count, and when Claire counters Charity's attempt to repeat the maneuver, Charity is treated to what often happens when there is such a decided size disadvantage as she's tossed around, forced into the ring corner of the Untouchables where Talia and Claire takes turn to abuse the goth beauty. </div><div>When they decide that Charity has had enough, Talia pins her with a handful of tights to secure the win. </div><div>Talia Quinzel win by pinfall in 10:04 Match Rating: C </div><div><br/></div> <div>Used to booing, for once the Special Edition got to play the faces, and especially Charity Sweet gets a round of applause for her performance. She shakes her head in disappointed at them, and Charity looks like she's expecting a beating, but Jarvis just gives them each a pat on the shoulder, and leaps up on the ring apron. She points them to her ring corner. They are here to observe, and hopefully learn something."</div><div><br/></div><div>The referee shrugs despite Rojo's protests, and starts the match. </div><div><br/></div><div>As usual, Jarvis starts the match patiently, preferring to let Rojo expend energy, at times drawing heat simply by leaving the ring while the crowd boos, wanting to see wrestling. Meanwhile, Rojo gets more and more worked up, and when Jarvis invites an attack by taking her time reentering the ring, Rojo walks straight into the trap as Jarvis puts her in an armlock over the middle rope, putting her entire weight on Rojo's right arm,, and while it only lasts for a few seconds, it clearly hurts Rojo. When Rojo decide that with only one good arm, she should focus on kicking the shit out of Jarvis, it backfires when Jarvis tricks her into an all-out attack into the ring corner, only to get stuck in the turnbuckle, where Jarvis starts working on her leg, twisting Rojo's knee around the rope. As the match goes on, Rojo is more and more hobbling around hurting from every imaginable body part as Jarvis picks her apart, and it's only a brief distraction where Jillian gets into an argument with the referee that allows Rojo to lay into Jarvis with a good clothesline allowing her to mount a good sequence of offense, and for a while it looks like it could possibly get her all the way, but Jarvis is too experienced, and with two good legs, she evades Rojo for the outside. Ignoring or forgetting how wily Jarvis is, Rojo pursuits her, only to get a kick in the solar plexus, followed by a suplex planting her on the steel stairs, then lifted into a fireman's carry, carried over to the announce table and thrown into it. Jarvis lifts up Pamela and look to her two minions with murder in her eyes. </div><div><br/></div><div>"Destroy her." </div><div><br/></div><div>Deborah and Charity looks to each other, nods, and Deborah launches herself toward Rojo, planting a big boot straight in the head of Rojo who spins around and crumbles. Deborah lifts her up, and they set up a backbreaker combo they often use to finish matches, but against a lifeless opponent it has a sickly look to it as there is no reaction of pain, just a rag doll falling to the mat.</div><div>Charity straddles the unresponsive Rojo and starts to pummel her. At some point during the beatdown Rojo has been cut open, and her blood make Charity's knuckles red. Jarvis pulls them both to their feet, pushing Rojo against the ropes, taunting the fans, showing their work and is about to further the humiliation by tearing off Rojo's clothes when music hits and both Foxxy LaRue and Teresa Perez appear at the top of the ramp. "Temporary alliance?" Foxxy says with glance towards Perez. "Temporary alliance," Perez confirms, and they both rush the ring. Jarvis briefly puts up resistance, giving Foxxy a stiff kick in the ribs before rolling out of the ring to safety.</div><div>Charity eats a drop kick from Teresa before she too rolls out of the ring, and Foxxy throws out Deborah. The Ronin 3 retreats while Teresa cusses them out from the top turnbuckle, while Foxxy tends to Pamela Rojo, and is soon joined by medical staff.</div><div><b>Segment Rating: D</b></div><div><br/></div><div>http://i.imgur.com/vrW0gLX.jpg vs http://i.imgur.com/tjDJHC2.jpg <b>Match 5: Foxxy LaRue vs Teresa Perez</b></div><div>The ring is cleared after the assault on Pamela Rojo, just Foxxy, Teresa and the referee Erin Lawrence are left in the ring.</div><div><br/></div><div>"I guess the temporary alliance is over," Foxxy says.</div><div><br/></div><div>"I'm sure you'd be welcome in American Sweethearts," Teresa responds.</div><div><br/></div><div>"No offense, but I think I'm done with clubs for now," Foxxy says, making the hand gesture of the Bad Girls Club and a grimace at the same time.</div><div><br/></div><div>"Okay girls, enough chit chat, let's have a wrestling match," Erin Lawrence says, and the bell rings.</div><div><br/></div><div>Foxxy swings high, Teresa goes low and surprises her opponent, immediately bringing Foxxy down on her back, and Teresa swings at her wildly, and the referee starts counting as Foxxy's shoulders are down from the outright onslaught, but she easily kicks out, but not before she's taken some good hits from Teresa who show sportsmanship and backs off right away when the referee tells her to.</div><div>Back on her feet, Foxxy start taking control of the match, showing why she's a three time world champion. The advantage Teresa expected to have in speed proves to be much smaller than she expected, highlighted when she at one point think she has left Foxxy stunned in the middle of the ring and takes off toward the opposite ropes, only to find herself caught up by Foxxy who has followed her, clotheslining Teresa over the top rope out of the ring, and not pausing for a moment, Foxxy bounce off the ropes on the other side of the ring, building up speed and just as Teresa gets back on her feet she's speared right into the barriers by a suicide diving Foxxy LaRue. </div><div>Having displayed her speed and agility, Foxxy then proceeds to deadlift Teresa into a delayed suplex, holding her there seemingly forever before dropping her flat on her back on the ground next to the ring.</div><div>Feeling she has done enough to secure the win, Foxxy rolls Teresa into the ring, carefully securing both legs and tucking in Teresa's arms to definitely make the pin, but on two Teresa violently kicks out of Foxxy's grip. LaRue looks surprised, goes for a senton splash, but Perez manages to roll out of the way, and for a moment, both wrestlers lay on the mat incapable of getting up. Teresa is first up, leans against the ropes catching her breath as Foxxy slowly stirs. Teresa realizes this is her chance, starts preparing a run up like a soccer player before a penalty kick, and as Foxxy gets up on her knees, Teresa hits her head on with a devastating high knee and immediately pins her, but Foxxy gets a shoulder up on one. Teresa looks like she don't know what to do, but eventually points to the top turnbuckle, and gingerly climbs up. She's running on fumes, barely able to stand up straight once she's balancing on the turnbuckle.</div><div>Foxxy meanwhile has been getting up on her feet, looking very unsteady, and when Teresa Perez come flying she's completely unable to react. For a moment, it looks like Perez has missed, but she gets the facelock and plants Foxxy's face in the mat with the diving DDT. Not waiting for Foxxy to react, Perez swings around, locking up Foxxy's arm her signature Around the World armbar. </div><div>Foxxy is in clear agony, and all power seem to have left her body. She tries to crawl toward the ropes, but Teresa is in much better position to push or pull her opponent, countering any movement by LaRue, pulling her back into the center of the ring. So reluctant to give up, Foxxy tries to get to her feet, lifting them both on her back in the process, but Teresa is prepared for that as well, entangling Foxxy's leg with her own, causing Foxxy to collapse to the mat again with a thud. At this, she looks defeated, and with a clear look of disappointment, she taps.</div><div><br/></div><div>Teresa gets on her feet and even though she's had Foxxy in a perfect hold for well over a minute, the idea of actually winning doesn't seem to have entered her mind until now when it is a fact. Teresa looks a bit embarrassed at this recognition and is quick to return the favor, asking the crowd to give a big applause to her opponent as well. One of them I actively cut, the other had a contract running out and was just not renewed. Alina picked up a drug habit and was let go. Millie I don't recall did anything wrong, she just became a victim of the numbers game. When Mirabel hits the temporarily blinded Chitose with a neckbreaker and applies the pin, the count from Dale Kenney is so fast everybody including the referee himself is shocked when Chitose manages to kick out in time. </div><div>Maribel is furious, first demanding that the match is over, that it actually was a three count, then starts arguing with Kenney, convinced that if it wasn't, it <i>should</i> have been a 3-count. Meanwhile, Chitose finds time to recover, an inner fire burning in her as well at the injustices she's being put through. Maribel is in mid sentence screaming at Dale Kenney when she's hit by a drop kick that propels her into the corner post, going out like a light. I don't want to take advantage of an invalid..." </div><div>"I don't need your false sympathy," Higa spits and as the bell rings, she immediately goes on the offense, slamming a high knee into Capitano's chest pushing her back towards the ropes. The two start telling a story of the Higa's righteous fury versus the cooler head of the battle tested leader of the Bad Girls. Capitano does not cheat, but she's certainly unsportsmanlike as she never let's go of a painful hold until the referee has called her out on it and she works on Higa's neck at every opportunity. Still, Higa is relentless, throwing Capitano across the ring with the most beautiful hurricanranas. They go back and forth, Higa fighting like a wounded animal, and for a while it really looks like she's going to win, but in the end the neck injury become her Achilleus heel as Capitano locks in a reverse chinlock, and it is clear from Higa's expression that the pain is unbearable. Both wrestlers have their dirty tricks, and maybe because the match become so much about those, the crowd struggle a little bit to get into the match. The match is decided when Jarvis accidentally knocks over the referee, losing focus on Purple Viper for a bit. That's enough time for Viper to load her asian mist. Jarvis does not see the attack coming and is hit right in the face with the blinding mist. It leaves her wide open to a clothesline from Purple Viper, just as the referee is clearing the cobwebs from his head. Purple Viper rolls up Jarvis with a grip on her tights, and the referee counts 1-2-3 before Jillian Jarvis has time to struggle out of the grip.</div><div><b>Purple Viper wins by pinfall in 19:32</b></div><div><b>Match Rating: C-</b></div></p></div></blockquote><div><br/></div><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i.imgur.com/oz8ZpSz.jpg</span> </div><p></p><p></p><p> <div>Purple Viper is a ball of celebratory energy when the match is over. The start of the match is a synchronised display of two wrestlers clearly knowing each other very well. Attacks, dodges, counterattacks parried, it is well over a minute before the two find themselves facing each other in the middle of the ring, neither having landed a blow. Christy looks most pissed, pointing to her chest. "Hit me!" Teresa plays up the theatrics, but steels herself and give her friend a stiff knife chop that leaves Christy wheezing for air. Teresa waits for Christy to recover and indicates for Christy to return the blow, and is given as good as she gave. They repeat the trade off a number of times before Teresa has had enough, backing off to the ropes to catch her breath. Christy is not interested in giving Teresa any time to recover, instead she bounces off the opposite ropes and drop kicks Teresa over the top rope, sending her tumbling to the outside. Following her friend outside, they continue fighting on the outside, the whole thing turning into a brawl until Christy clocks Teresa clean with a roundhouse kick. I am a singles wrestler just as much as a tag team wrestler. Did you know Juana used to be a member of Ronin 3? She was one of the founding members. Back before she grew a conscience and turned goody two shoes. I told Jillian I wanted in, but she turned me down, said the number of members was in the name. So I told her I could kick Juana's ass. She thought about it for a while, and agreed, but said she needed to see violence that impressed her.</p><p> <strong>Billy:</strong> So you beat her up and took her spot in Ronin 3?</p><p> <strong>Charity:</strong> Kind of. I beat her to submission, but Jillian wasn't impressed. Didn't think it was violent enough. So I kept going. And I found it to be kind of liberating. It's kind of a safety vent. Except I guess people vent to avoid getting violent. </p><p> <strong>Billy: </strong>I'm sure a therapist would have a hey day with that. Let's talk about something else. If I recall correctly, we at the Wrestling Gazetteer rated both those solid B's. You're three time tag team champions with your partner Deborah Young, a team called Special Edition. Where does that come from?</p><p> <strong>Charity:</strong> Well, QAW produces this little magazine, a newsletter of sorts for fans and industry people. I find it pretty boring stuff, mostly for people who haven't figured out how to use the internet. But one time, when Farrah was out of town, we made a limited edition, swimsuit special. I love fleshing out these characters, really giving them a sense of personality, so that they're not just a bunch of numbers. These character pieces fill out the narrative so well. Maria meanwhile offers up plucky resistance, dodging and weaving, trying to wear down her opponent. They go back and forth with neither wrestler gaining any sustained dominance, but Maria gets a bit overconfidence and gets caught by Brooke who delivers a release power bomb that stuns Maria long enough for Tyler to lock in her Brooke Breaker. Guest does her best to reach the ropes, but just as she's about to reach out with a hand, Brooke drags her back to the middle of the ring. We get a brief flashback shot of security camera footage of Kass brutally beating up Higa about a week earlier.</div><div><br/></div><div>"I don't know why you're hanging with that 'Bad Girls' bunch. The fast track to gold is with the corporation, you know. Why don't you join us?"</div><div><br/></div><div>"Got gold. I'm tag team champion. What you got?" Kass retorts, cocking her head a bit.</div><div><br/></div><div>"Aim higher, Kass. If Dharma knew you had her back, you'd have a shot at the World title in no time." </div><div><br/></div><div>"Hm." </div><div><br/></div><div>Expecting something more than that from Kass, Maribel waits in silence until it starts getting awkward.</div><div><br/></div><div>"Well, think about it. I need to go, I have a match against your boss now. Once the bell ring, the two patiently test each other, making lunges that without fail are avoided by an opponent on high alert. Both wrestlers are inclined towards high flying, so we get a lot of attacks launched from the top rope and as the match goes, it becomes clear that in almost every aspect, Capitano is just a little bit better, a little bit more resilient, but at the same time, Maribel is hanging in there, and there's a sense that one impact move could change the whole match.</div><div><br/></div><div>At that moment, Killer Kass comes wandering down the ramp. She stops some safe distance from the ring, ignoring the referee admonishing her not to interfere. A wicked smile spreads on Capitano's face, followed by a look of concern or perhaps confusion as the hulking wrestler seems content having made her presence known, not interfering in the match. Maribel does not seem concerned with Kass, instead taking the distraction as an opportunity to lay into Capitano with a wicked clothesline. What follows is an extended sequence where Maribel delivers impact move after impact move while Capitano is mobbed around the ring, while Kass watches on, expressionless. </div><div><br/></div><div>After a couple of failed pin attempts, Maribel gos for the top turnbuckle yet another time and goes for the frog splash. This time however, Capitano gets her knees up. Maribel sells it like a champ, going down like she's been shot. Capitano gathers her last strength, delivers a springboard 450 and pins Mercado for the win. Having had her hand raised by the referee, Capitano drops out of the ring and approaches Kass. They don't say anything, but the hand gestures from Capitano and the look she gives Kass suggests she expected some help. You're well acquainted with money, so I'm sure you understand me when I say that any pain you caused Higa you'll get BACK. WITH. INTEREST." One punch accompanying each word, for emphasis. Perez still looks hurting from the brawl with Maribel Mercado, she and Christy Higgins mostly glare at each other, while Alexis Lee looks disconnected from the two, like an older relative not quite understanding what the new generation is going on about. Before the bell even rings, Ronin 3 is all over the three babyfaces. Jillian Jarvis is beating down on Alexis Lee, Charity Sweet on Christy Higgins, while Deborah Young simply picks up Teresa Perez over her head and throws her out of the ring. Referee Erin Lawrence does her best to restore order, corralling Charity and Deborah out of the ring, only then officially starting the match, with Jarvis pummelling Alexis who's doing her best to just protect herself. That becomes the story of the match, Ronin 3 controlling the flow of the match, distracting the referee to gang up on American Sweethearts behind the ref's back, taunting their opponents when they try to tag in a fresher team mate. And while the American Sweethearts get opportunities to show what they can do, they're fighting an uphill battle against three coordinated opponents who have nu qualms about fighting dirty. Like in her match with Talia Quinzel and Claire Winters, Christy Higgins is the one who more than any other get stuck in the ring, struggling to get help from her teammates, sometimes getting teasingly close but always getting pulled away. In one sequence, it looks like Teresa is going to be able to complete the tag, but just then Jillian has snuck around the ring and yanks Teresa by her feet from the ring apron leaving Christy stranded in-ring with Deborah Young who proceeds to power bomb and pin her for the win.</div><div><b>Young wins by pinfall in 20:07</b></div><div><b>Match Rating: C (60)</b></div></blockquote></div><div><br/></div> <div class="ipsEmbeddedVideo"><div><iframe width="200" height="113" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/g8PrTzLaLHc?feature=oembed" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="" title="Imagine Dragons - On Top of the World - Lyrics"></iframe></div></div><div><i><br/></i></div><div><span>http://i.imgur.com/Heo5HkZ.jpg</span> </div><div><br/></div><div>Chitose come bouncing out, all smiles as she makes her way to the ring, high fiving and hugging as many fans as she can. She grabs a microphone on her way into the ring. She paces for a bit, even after the music fades out she's moving to it's beat, waiting for the crowd reaction to calm down. Here in Hope, Arkansas, that doesn't take quite as long as it usually does back in Texas.</div><div><br/></div><div>"When Contender's Crown started, we made a pact, you and me. You would believe in me, and I, I promised I would never give up. Always get up again. Always keep fighting. Thank you for keeping your end of the bargain. As long as you believe in me, I believe I can achieve anything. Without you, I'm nothing, but with you, I go for the crown!" Her English has become good during her time in QAW, so much so that she reinforces some of her Japanese affectations to stay consistent with her character. She spends a lot of the match in painful submission holds, being thrown into ring posts and kicking out at two and a half from Juana's pin attempts before she gets in a stiff kick to the midsection to counter the flow of the action. With Kass and Flame facing each other witnessed by their two club sisters, the match has the trappings of a street duel, governed by their own internal rules. When the bell rings, Flame looks to Kass to make the first move. Kass looks at Flame, and points to the mat before her. "Submit." Laura looks incredulous at Kass, then at Capitano at the side of the ring, but Capitano stands with her arms crossed, expressionless. Flame seems torn, starts to kneel, but either a ruse from the start or a change of heart, but instead of kneeling, she launches herself low at Kass and with a low grip on both legs manages to surprise the much bigger opponent, enough to drop Kass to the floor where Laura manages to get off a flurry of punches before Kass tosses her to the side, and the both get up on their feet. Kass looks at Laura with an appraising look, and there's just the smallest hint of a smile. </div><div>Realizing it's going to be a real match, the crowd turn from booing the whole affair to rooting for the underdog. When Kass comes charging, Laura maneuvers like a matador, stepping aside at just the moment to have Kass crash into the corner post. For a while her nimble foot work really pays off, delivering patented high kicks before dancing away, to the frustration of an angrier and angrier Kass. The cat and mouse game only have one end however, as Laura eventually runs out of room. Having learnt a trick or two from Capitano, she tries to leave the ring, but Kass is on to her, grabbing hold of the leg still in the ring, and when Laura tries holding on to the ropes, Kass just pounds her one free fist into Laura's back over and over until she lets go. From there on, it's an exercise in how much damage Laura's body can take as Kass put on a master class in how many different ways a wrestler can be slammed back first into the mat. After the first three slams - all different - Kass goes to pin Laura, but after she defiantly kicks out, Kass shows no mercy, and the crowd starts counting the slams. In between them, Kass looks like she considers making another pin attempt, but shrugs it off, going for yet another power slam. When Kass approaches her, Laura looks prepared for another beating, but Kass just wraps Laura's arm over her shoulder and lifts her up to standing position. When Laura looks like she can stand on her own, Kass raises her hand in the air. Laura look like a mix of emotions are coming over her, but she accepts the gesture and the applause from the crowd and return it, raising Kass hand in turn.</div><div><br/></div><div>Looking satisfied that hierarchy has been re-established, Capitano give the both a pat on the shoulder and climbs up on a corner post.</div><div><br/></div><div>"If you know wrestling, you know you just saw the future of wrestling, and it's name is Laura Flame. And if you are Paige Croft, well, I hope you took notice of what Killer Kass did to someone she likes a whole lot more than you. You might just want to vacate that world title and run away while you have the chance. I HOPE you don't. I like the violence of Killer Kass, but I think Capitano underestimates Croft badly. They're playing with fire, and Kass might be the one getting burnt.</div><div><b>Farrah Hesketh:</b> Killer Kass is fearsome, but I think there are some people who might take issue with Kass cutting in line.</div><div><b>Alfonso:</b> If she wins the Contenders Crown they can take issue all they want. The two share a few quiet words before the match starts, Rojo assuring LaRue that she's fit to fight. Once the bell rings, the two cautiously approach each other, the two locking up in a test of strength where Pamela Rojo show why she's considered one of the most powerful women in QAW, methodically pressing LaRue back and down until LaRue is basically defenseless against the stiff kick to the side that ends the lockup. From her strong start, the match is an open affair, the two going back and forth, Foxxy slowly working her way into the match, and the story becomes one of how Pamela's injuries handicap her, even though Foxxy doesn't go out of her way to exploit them. How her knee buckles at a moment when a real upset looked like it could happen, instead leaving her open to a snap suplex that starts the sequence of exhanges that see the referee start multiple counts for both competitors, but Rojo's attacks are weakening while LaRue seem to have a fount of energy to tap from.
