<p>I'm probably the wrong one to answer this question, but my way is amazingly simplistic: basically, I create my wrestlers, simulate my matches, and keep track of the results in a notebook or in a word document.</p><p> </p><p>

Others probably have better ways, but this one's always seemed enough for me.</p><p> </p><p>

Of course, I haven't really messed around with the missions, or any of that stuff, so I may come up with something else at some point.</p><p> </p><p>

<p>Just like Warrior, I use a convoluted, overly-complex dice & chart system .. wait .. what? <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

I don't use a budget. Instead, I have a master list of wrestlers, three are randomly selected each time there's a free slot on the roster, and I hire who I'd like (and who's edit is available on the Workshop) from the three. I roll dice for weekly show events, such as title shots out of the blue. There's a monthly roll after each supercard to see what happens; roster change, promotion size change (I have it set to happen randomly as it's tricky to determine 'success' in FPWW at the moment), a new trainee available to hire, etc. There's an injury roll when a Critical occurs. Yeah .. ridiculous I know. No target or goal needed. Just enjoy the show.</p><p> </p><p>

And DVD, you need <a href="http://steamcommunity.com/app/564230/discussions/0/1470841715935669753/" rel="external nofollow">this mod</a> to use the ring textures. It's not as tricky as you might think. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Version .9012 patch is LIVE as of 3 days ago!

More quality-of-life fixes, new additions to the Priorities section (oh, I forgot to mention that .9011 added SEVEN MORE PRIORITY SLOTS, increasing the number from 3 to 10!), and the following additions to the Appearance section:

1 - 2 different types of Glasses/Sunglasses for the Head area (Masahiro Chono's/Christian 1998's small-lens Yakuza style and The Rock's large-lens aviator style), for the first time in Fire Pro!

2 - Body Hair for the Chest and Waist areas, ALSO for the first time in Fire Pro! (Now your AJ Styleses, Kenny Omegas, A-Trains, Shawn Michaelses, and Scott Halls will have accurate hairy torsos!)

3 - SKIRTS have been added, returning to Fire Pro after a decade-plus long absence since the GBA games

4 - New Arm Guards for the Forearm area

5 - Brand-new "Flame" and "Zig-Zag" patterns for Forearm and Calf areas, brand-new to the Fire Pro series!

<p>Just had a blast the last little while, bringing wrestlers in and building up a roster for my brand new WCW. For the epic tag team tournament coming up very soon, we've already confirmed Fin Balor & Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles & Bobby Roode, Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens, The Hardy Boyz, The Briscoes, The Bar, The Shield, The New Day, and The Usos. Planning to bring in The Young Bucks and some other teams as well. CM Punk's also on tap for the singles tournament. </p><p> </p><p>

Among many others.</p><p> </p><p>

Got a brand new WCW Monday Nitro Ring that I'm pretty proud of and everything. Really looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.</p><p> </p><p>

It's been fun.</p>

Well, well, well, look what I've found here! Interesting thread this is.

Since I gave up trying to make ever-growing EWR/TEW databases, I've been trying to help the Fire Pro community grow. I'm the day to day guy of the Fire Pro Club, which is a Facebook page and a Twitter account offering support and popularizing the game, both of which have over 1000 members. FPC has been around since 1993, this is how it exists now. I'm not the boss of the thing, but as is tradition in the Fire Pro community, the real boss is rather silent and the day to day guy pretty much runs it (Ever noticed that? Higher Power / MrMDK, Tiger Sword / C-Drive, Hoss & me, quiet big boss, active d2d guy...)

Right now is as good a time as any to take the plunge. The game is cheap, the scene is as vibrant as I've seen any scene, (and I was at the heart of the sim world during the Monday Night Wars AND involved in the first 3 years of complete mods being a thing in MLB The Show) and Spike Chunsoft are absolute saints to us. You know with what's happening with EA and microtransactions and such, Spike Chunsoft is like the complete opposite. They just give and give, and not only do they give, but they give what the community wants.

Oh and there's the mods...

DPfrumLVQAAhZxc.jpg

Everything you see here is custom. The wrestlers (may be mine), the ref, the ring, even the camera angle was modded in.

We're swimming in gaming riches, here. This is the freakin' klondike. Because of my involvment in the community I was the second person to play the game before it launched and I knew this would change everything the second I saw that layers system in edit mode.

And then came the official patches, and then came the fan-made editor, and then came the fan-made ****ing thingamajic that allows us to port FPR edits straight to World, then came 35000 edits, then came Carlzilla's Mod.

Just amazing.

<p>You can refer to this post for basic template guidelines:</p><p>

<a href="http://steamcommunity.com/games/564230/announcements/detail/1455086731781103492" rel="external nofollow">http://steamcommunity.com/games/564230/announcements/detail/1455086731781103492</a></p><p> </p><p>

Basically, a logo-on-transparent PNG that's 1024x1024 for the mat, 1024x128 for the apron, and trial-and-error sort of for the turnbuckles.</p><p> </p><p>

In addition, patch update .9500 has been released (leading me to believe that they've declared themselves at the "halfway" point for the Early Access period), with a BUNCH of new moves (recent patch, .9013, included new Appearance parts)!</p><p>

Notes for .9500 here: <a href="http://steamcommunity.com/app/564230/discussions/2/1488866180598762477/" rel="external nofollow">http://steamcommunity.com/app/564230/discussions/2/1488866180598762477/</a></p><p>

Notes for .9013 here: <a href="http://steamcommunity.com/app/564230/discussions/2/2425614361137212028/" rel="external nofollow">http://steamcommunity.com/app/564230/discussions/2/2425614361137212028/</a></p><p> </p><p>

ALSO in addition, Spike-Chunsoft has begun laying the foundation for the World version of the old Management Of The Ring mode from FFPW for GBA in Japan, and Carlzilla has begun poking around through it and found out what he could about it. Once he finds out more, we should be able to glean what's going to happen.</p><p>

<p>Fire Pro Wrestling World is officially out of Early Access!</p><p>

Patch notes for version 1.0000:</p><p>

<a href="http://steamcommunity.com/games/564230/announcements/detail/3113541737447879914" rel="external nofollow">http://steamcommunity.com/games/564230/announcements/detail/3113541737447879914</a></p><p> </p><p>

New anime head parts have been added, as well as new moves.</p><p>

More quality-of-life bugfixes, 2 more Priority slots (up to 12 now!), and Match Evaluation for Deathmatch, SWA, and S-1 matches has been added.</p><p> </p><p>

I'll update when the Yoshihiro Takayama charity DLC goes live.</p><p> </p><p>

When they return from holiday break in January, they'll also make announcements on the upcoming Fire Promoter DLC (aka a version of Management Of The Ring mode from Final Fire Pro Wrestling for GBA in Japan) and on the status of getting the PS4 port ready for release sometime a few months later (at the earliest).</p>

Indeed, it's an absolute steal at that price -- a rock-solid, deeply established wrestling game with access to (at press time) over 27,000 wrestlers, referees, and ring graphics (mostly wrestlers though) on the Steam Workshop.

Also, the Yoshihiro Takayama Charity DLC is live, and only $3 -- all proceeds go to TAKAYAMANIA, which is covering Takayama's medical bills and also going to his family. (if you can't read Japanese, just click English in the drop-down menu on the top-left)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/758160/Fire_Pro_Wrestling_World__Yoshihiro_Takayama_Charity_DLC/

(There's already 14 different Takayama's on the workshop currently, but the point of this officially released one is for charity; it also comes with a DLC-only move, Spirit Punches, that can only be used/assigned to an edit if you have this DLC bought/downloaded)

<p>I would say that the 2 easiest ways to learn how Fire Pro Wrestling <em>World</em> works is to:</p><p>

1 - Check out the General and In-Depth FAQs for Fire Pro Wrestling <em>Returns</em> on GameFAQs: <a href="https://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/927675-fire-pro-wrestling-returns/faqs" rel="external nofollow">https://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/927675-fire-pro-wrestling-returns/faqs</a></p><p>

2 - And play through Mission Mode in World to learn how the specific mechanics in World works and how it differs from Returns.</p><p> </p><p>

Almost all of how Returns works will work in World, because that's the framework it was built from and then altered/added to from there.</p><p> </p><p>

I would also recommend checking out the <a href="http://www.fpwarena.com/" rel="external nofollow">Fire Pro Arena</a> for lively discussion and help on how to navigate your way through the World of Fire Pro Wrestling. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Question: did they get rid of the... faux randomness that was in Returns?</p><p> </p><p>

(As I'm sure I could not explain it well: remember how in Returns if you booked a number of AI matches, restarted the game and booked them again you'd get exactly the same matches, because calculations weren't really random but instead were a series of pre-fixed numbers? Was it solved this time? Thank you.)</p>
