Steve DeColt:
“I beat James Hernandez... In a tag team match... Last week!! So now, I want... No I DEMAND... a NOTBPW Canadian Title shot!!”

It didn't take long for the cocky Champion 'Mainstream' Hernandez to appear on the big screen... NOT in the building tonight!!

James Hernandez:
“Steven... You said it yourself, man... You beat me in a tag team match!! And... You didn't even pin me!! But I'm a fair man... If you beat my friend Spencer Spade next week... I'll consider... giving you a shot!!”

Spade appeared on the screen alongside Hernandez, and the two smiled at each other... DeColt was furious in the ring!!

A great way to kick off the in-ring action tonight, with four tag teams at very different stages of their careers. The experienced Ring Generals were perhaps the stars of the match, and for the finish, Dean Waldorf actually hit his 'Waldorf Salad Toss' on Trent Shaffer. However the even more experienced crafty veteran Owen Love was on hand to shove Waldorf out of the ring through the ropes and he landed hard! Love fell into the cover on Shaffer, and the CanAm Blondes were victorious!!

The NOTBPW Tag Team Titles will be on the line, as Primed For Progress defend against the CanAm Blondes!!

If the Blondes win, they will tie the record for Title reigns at FIVE...

Primed For Progress are also in their fourth reign, so they've currently held the Gold the same amount of times as Owen Love and The Natural...

It should be a fantastic contest come Summer Smash, with plenty more matches still to be confirmed...

You Can't Keep A Good Man Down

In a locker room backstage, 'Country Strong' KC Glenn was taping his fists ahead of his match later tonight against Lord James King...

Glenn was making his return to NOTBPW, after his performance in the Maple Leaf Mayhem Match at Jeopardy...

During the match, we saw Glenn get hit by a TV Monitor by Faith!! Glenn is rumoured to be furious with all the members of Faith Enterprises...

None of them are here tonight though, as we learned earlier in the show...

Jacob Jett & Sayeed Ali w/ Lenny Brown [vs] Seeker & Sonny Wildside

Two interesting pairings here. Jacob Jett is the current NOTBPW Television Champion, and all three of the other men in the match would love nothing more than to be Champ. Sayeed Ali is the former Champion, desperate to get his Belt back. Sonny Wildside wants to prove he's just as good as Jett after Jett was selected by Team DeColt/Gino at Jeopardy over Wildside. But Seeker's motivation comes from a hatred of Jett. Seeker left the ring late on in this match, and watched on from a distance as Ali pinned Wildside.

All Hands On Donte

We cut backstage very quickly next, as Donte Dunn was getting beaten up by The Rebel Pirates!!

Trent Shaffer and Wade Orson, who were in action earlier tonight, were dominating the 'Barbadian Barbarian'...

The Pirates were used by Aaron Andrews last week, and since Dunn and Andrews go 1 on 1 later tonight, there's a chance 'The Ace' was behind this beatdown...

Referees and officials arrived to break things up, but the damage looked like it had already been... 'Dunn'... (sorry)

'Country Strong' KC Glenn [vs] 'Gentleman' Lord James King

KC Glenn was in no mood to mess about here. Lord James King wiped his feet when he got into the ring, and at the end he tried to get the brass knuckles out for the 'Power Of The Punch', but he did little else of note in the match. Glenn was relentless, mercifully ending it at around 6 minutes with his 'Tune Up The Sunshine Band'.

Luis Montero Jr. appeared on our screen next... Again, he and the rest of Faith Enterprises were not in the building...

He had a message directly for his Brother Gino Montero, who he confirmed he will fight at Summer Smash!!

Luis Montero Jr.:
“A lot can happen in a year, brother... At Summer Smash last year, we made our pay-per-view debut together... Do you remember that...?! I do... I also remember when you turned your BACK on me, and caused me to lose my job... Lucky for me, I revived my career, and came back under the mask as El Fuego!! You've been a Canadian Champion... But not any more, because of ME... People blame me for us not being on the same page any more... But it was GINO, who tore us apart...”

Luis said that at Summer Smash, he's going to tare Gino's body apart... limb... by limb...

Sins Of The Father

Robin DaLay and Logan DeColt headed to the ring next, and were soon joined by Dark Angel from the stage...

The NOTBPW Match Maker asked Robin if he accepted his Father Dan DaLay's challenge for tonight... A career versus career match!!

Robin DaLay:
“I REFUSE... to be punished, or tarnished, by the things Dan did wrong... So therefore, I ACCEPT, that I will have to work hard, to prove my worth... As for the challenge... I'm saying NO one... deserves to end my Father's career, more than I do... So Dad... It's a YES!!”

Dark Angel said that therefore, the match would take place RIGHT NOW!!

Dark Angel:
“So we are ON!! Now get a referee out here... and get Dan DaLay out here... Oh and Robin... I forgot to say... Your cousin Logan DeColt is BANNED from ringside!! And if he comes out to the ring to affect the outcome of the match... HIS will end on the spot!!”

Logan and Robin were furious, but they couldn't be angry for long... Because Dan DaLay headed out to the ring...

'The Iron Fist' Dan DaLay [vs] Robin DaLay

An emotional match, as Dan DaLay and his son Robin DaLay did battle 1 on 1 for the first, and possibly only ever time. Both men delivered brutal blows to the head and mid-sections of their opponents. There wasn't much wrestling going on, it was just punches and kicks in reality. Logan DeColt was not allowed to be at ringside at all, but that didn't stop another man arriving and causing a distraction. That man was 'The Maverick' Julian Watson, and he distracted Dan DaLay. As the veteran turned around, he was caught with his own 'DaLay Down' Headbutt by his own son, and was pinned for the final time in NOTBPW!

The Maverick

The two year contract of Dan DaLay was over, and this was his last match ever(?) in NOTBPW...

Much like John Maverick's final match last week, Julian Watson had something to say about the way DaLay left for the last time...

'The Maverick' had a very different look about him tonight; Eerie face paint, shoulder pads, and demonic looking clothing...

It didn't matter what he wore though, his intent and execution was the most impressive thing about him...

The Maverick beat DaLay up, throwing him into the ring post shoulder first and then focusing on the veteran's injured arm...

Robin DaLay wondered whether to get involved and make the save, but he decided to just leave, and looked happy with his win!!

Watson picked DaLay up into a front face lock... and then popped his hips and hit the 'Tiger Claw DDT' (swinging double-arm DDT)...

Just like with John Maverick last week, Watson's brutal finisher knocked DaLay out!!

Snap Or Tap

Backstage, Timothy Weightman was interviewing Ernest Youngman, and the shooter wasn't happy...

Ernest Youngman:
“Jonathan Faust hit me over the head with his staff... So next week, I'm going to SNAP it!!And if he doesn't give me the opportunity, I'll just make him TAP out!!”

Youngman said that they don't call him 'The Assassin of the Squared Circle' for no reason!!

Hotstuff (Jay B & Buff Martinez) [vs] Aldous Blackfriar & POISON w/ Prometheus

POISON and Prometheus rolled Aldous Blackfriar out for this tag team match, and the young fan favourite teamed with POISON to take on a dangerous team in Hotstuff. Jay B used his boxing background to maintain an advantage, and poor Aldous took a heck of a beating from Jay and his Spanish partner Buff Martinez. POISON decided to leave Aldous to it, and he watched on as the youngster succumbed to the awesome 'Cash Crash'.

The Maverick

In his garage, sat on a bar stool, we found 'Angry' Tom Gilmore, who was looking a little worse for wear following his match with Jack DeColt at Jeopardy...

Tom Gilmore:
“At Jeopardy... I vanquished 'The Wild Man'... It's time for me, to move on from him... He called me out, and I more than answered his challenges... Now... I want to fight 'The Maverick' Julian Watson, for what he did to John (Maverick) last week, and to Dan DaLay tonight...”

Before Gilmore could finish his thought, there was a knock on his garage door... and the veteran stood up suddenly!!

He walked slowly over to the door, and then opened it quickly... But the camera panned to reveal there was nobody there...

As Gilmore turned away from the door, he was blind-sided by an unknown attacker... The camera was behind the big man...

Then, it was revealed that the attacker was Jack DeColt, who mounted Gilmore and began choking him with the blue handled hammer!!

Jack DeColt:
“HEY!! GILMORE!! This is NOT over... I did this to you... ME... I broke into your house... AGAIN... What are YOU, going to do, about it!?”

Jack stood up, leaving Gilmore down on the floor choking... 'The Wild Man' smirked, and then left the garage through the open door...

'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn [vs] 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews

Everyone who thought this match would be a walk in the park for 'The Ace' Aaron Andrews was dead wrong. He was up against a man on a mission in the form of 'The Barbadian Barbarian' Donte Dunn. Dunn wrestles with a smile on his face, and that happy-go-lucky outlook on life can often be confused with weakness. But he IS a 'Barbarian'. He fights like an animal at times. Andrews didn't know what hit him at times, and he fought most of the first half of the match with his back against the ropes. 'Ace' soon gained some confidence though, hitting a brilliant cross body from the top rope. On the outside, Andrews countered a powerbomb with a back body drop, and Dunn landed hard on the steel ring entrance way. From then on, it was all Andrews. Dunn had a comeback in him late on, but he never really recovered from hitting the ramp. Andrews won it in the end with his 'Hot Shot' finisher but it was a great performance from Dunn!
