Eric Bischoff, backed by Ted Turner’s money, looks to revolutionize the wrestling world, launching Monday Nitro and putting it head to head with Vince McMahon’s Monday Night Raw! Propelled by some homegrown guys, and plenty of stars made “up north”, Bischoff looks to unseat the struggling World Wrestling Federation from the Throne! The question remains: can Bischoff put his money where his mouth is?

Saddled with a struggling figurehead in Diesel, Vince McMahon could have his back against the wall thanks to Bischoff’s direct competition. While this newfound competition could spell disaster for the WWF, McMahon may have to step up his game - and improve his product - to withstand the assault on his prime-time monopoly. With the pressure on, can Vince McMahon lead his New Generation and stay on top?

So there it is folks! Week 1 is in the books. There’s been a decent chunk of news going on, but I think I’m going to hold off on the news for a bit and post them all together - probably after this month’s pay-per-views.

Hope the format is ok with everyone. There’s a probably a few kinks to be ironed out here and there, but I wanted to present the Monday Night Wars in a quarterly breakdown to reflect the competition (and obsession) over ratings during these times. Let me know if you’ve got any complaints!

Before we get to an update for the predictions and next week’s previews, let’s give that comment section a gander, shall we?

Bonus question:

Who is ???: Going to go out on a limb and say you'll bring Lex in for the TV title and do something different with Hogan

Bonus question:
Who is ???: I'll go with Lex Luger. Makes sense at this point in time.

Lex is certainly a nice idea for a twist here. But, I want to keep the TV title a little more “loose” than my other WCW titles, and giving it to Lex immediately would probably mean a longer reign, so… Lex mixes it up with main eventers.

Bob Holly vs The British Bulldog
Comments: Why not just give Holly the damn belt?!

At this point, Holly should be hoping some tag chemistry, or he’s going down for a trip in developmental. If anyone hasn’t read about it, look it up. Too much expectation for someone so fresh to the scene.
I liked the layout some. Well, I enjoy the format at least. I found it a little difficult to my eyes, but once I adjusted to it, I made it through easily. I'm not sure what would help that, though; maybe a different/bigger font or different spacing? But hey, if everyone else had no problems and it's just me, then feel free to not change anything just on one account.
