Eric Bischoff, backed by Ted Turner’s money, looks to revolutionize the wrestling world, launching Monday Nitro and putting it head to head with Vince McMahon’s Monday Night Raw! Propelled by some homegrown guys, and plenty of stars made “up north”, Bischoff looks to unseat the struggling World Wrestling Federation from the Throne! The question remains: can Bischoff put his money where his mouth is?

Saddled with a struggling figurehead in Diesel, Vince McMahon could have his back against the wall thanks to Bischoff’s direct competition. While this newfound competition could spell disaster for the WWF, McMahon may have to step up his game - and improve his product - to withstand the assault on his prime-time monopoly. So there it is folks! Week 1 is in the books. There’s been a decent chunk of news going on, but I think I’m going to hold off on the news for a bit and post them all together - probably after this month’s pay-per-views. Hope the format is ok with everyone. There’s a probably a few kinks to be ironed out here and there, but I wanted to present the Monday Night Wars in a quarterly breakdown to reflect the competition (and obsession) over ratings during these times.
