Davis: "We'll see. We already got two title matches set and tonight we will have a third one."

Adrian: "I think it is time for the Montreal Mafia to step up. I want to see what they can do."

Davis: "Jack is back for that matter and in action. A non title match against Ryan Powell."

Adrian: "Why isn't it on the line? Is Jack afraid?"

Davis: "To be fair I don't think Ryan has earned a title shot."

Adrian: "Pfah, excuses."

Things shift to backstage to Alex DeColt's office where his brother Jack is with him. It looks like the two were already in mid discussion.

Jack: "And I told you I am fine."

Alex: "I am just saying I will remove Joey Poison from the arena for your safety."

Jack: "Alex, would you want that to be done if you were in my shoes? You are being overprotective. I'm a DeColt just like you which that means I am no coward. If Joey wants to come for me so be it."

With a sigh Alex just nods as he leans back in his comfy office chair.

Alex: "Very well. Joey Poison will be allowed to stay. Jack....just be careful."

Jack: "Of course. Always."

This is all about Dan DaLay throwing a nobody about and beating him down. A dominant victory that sees the veteran win with a DaLay Down.

Jenny: "Drake. Up until Elimination you were good friends with Skip and Ian. Why the sudden change in attitude where you abandoned your friends and then cost them a match last week."

Drake: "I came to a realization. Skip and Ian? They were never my friends. Those guys are just going to hold me down. You see it took a few phone calls from a real friend to make me realize if I kept associating myself with Ian and Skip I would never get anywhere. And that friend? Well he is here now."

Hudson: "I couldn't keep watching Drake on television and being stuck with those two losers. I had to come here and put him on the right path. And now we are together. Now we are....come on, Drake. With me now."

Both men: "Drake .0!"

They grin wide and walk off as Jenny just shakes her head.

The Montreal Mafia vs The Dirty White Boys</div>

The Montreal Mafia lack the size and strength as the DWB, but they use quick tags, their speed and nefarious tactics to keep the match pretty even early on. It works for awhile, but the DWB start to adjust and make a comeback. Big heavy hitting strikes stymie the offense of the Mafia. Marc Raisen eventually eats a Full Throttle from the DWB and it looks like the DWB are getting a rematch with the champs.

Davis: "A good match, but it seems the Dirty White Boys are getting another shot at the tag titles."

Christian Price vs Ozzie Golden</div>

Ozzie seems more worried about his appearance in the match. He ducks and dodges Price at the start before finally luring him in and getting in some offense. Price powers back and uses his size advantage to get the better of his opponent. Ozzie still gets some offense in here and there, but never enough to regain the advantage again and he gets to have some beauty rest once Christian Price nails the Price Check.

Dan looks like he was going to walk around the man, but then pauses at the mention of an offer. He looks about then looks back to the man.

Dan: "You got five minutes, but not here. Somewhere more private."

Dan puts a big hand on the camera and pushes it away as he leads the mystery man away.

Chucky Dorrance vs Stevie Grayson</div>

Chucky gets the jump on Stevie at the start and has a good showing of offense. It looks like his luck might be changing until Stevie starts to fight back. The two have some back and forth with Chucky even getting close to getting the three count, but in the end his losing streak continues when Stevie puts him away with a Shades of Grayson.

Jenny: "Guys, I just talked to Drake Young earlier and I am unsure if you heard his comments, but it looks like the friendship is over."

Ian: "I don't know what exactly was said, but I see he had been plotting to stab us in the back for awhile. All those phone calls we were thinking he had a girlfriend or something. Instead it was someone pulling his strings."

Skip: "I don't know this Hudson Drake guy, but I do know I want a piece of him. In fact if both Hudson and Drake will accept we want them at Luck of the Draw."

Ian: "We want payback and we'll show them who the real losers are."

Skip: "Yeah! ....that is them, right?"

Ian: "Of course! Come on. Lets go find them!"

Faith looks relieved at hearing that, but then Joey just has a sly smile when he turns about and walks off that she doesn't see.

Faith: "Wait, come back."

She scurries off to chase him down.

Shane Nelson and Bobby Thomas vs Blockbuster and Prometheus</div>

It seems like it would be a one sided affair, but Blockbuster and Prometheus seem more interested in being the one that gets the win than working together. Shane and Bobby on the other hand tag team specialists that might not have been partners before, but they know working together wins the match. Even then they are just so easily overpowered by BB and Prometheus when the two big men aren't bickering. Prometheus is dominating at one point when BB tags himself in and tells Prometheus to get out. He nails BB with a God Chop and stalks off to leave the Canadian champ laying out and without a partner. Shane Nelson capitalizes and hits the Clash of Styles on BB while he is already out for extra measure.

Warren Technique vs Zeus Maxmillion</div>

Warren is flying solo tonight and he has the tough task of taking down Zeus. He does well given the fact they have faced off before along with him being very skilled at counter wrestling and keeping the bigger Zeus grounded. Zeus is down, but not out. He kicks out at the last moment a few times and makes it to the ropes whenever Technique tries to get him to submit. Warren is obviously getting frustrated and then he is thrown off his game when Zeus seems to get a burst of adrenaline. He begins to throw the champ about and gives Technique a taste of his own medicine by locking on the Olympian Clutch. Warren struggles, but has to tap out.

Jack stops throwing punches as he looks to Ricky. He smirks and he gives his younger brother a small punch on the arm.

Jack: "I got it. You and Alex are worrying too much. Just sit back and enjoy watching me beat Ryan Powell in here. I got this. All is well. I promise."

He slaps Ricky on the back and walks off. Ricky shakes his head while watching and there is movement behind him it seems as things cut away.

Jack DeColt vs Ryan Powell</div>

Ryan Powell has been getting quite a few wins as of late, but this is a very tall task and he tackles it the only way he knows how, but cheating. He thumbs Jack in the eye and goes on the offense. It works for a short bit, but Jack recovers and just starts to beat Ryan from pillar to post. Powell takes a powder outside and lures Jack outside so he can ram him into a post and take advantage again. Powell works over Jack, but can't finish him off. He goes for a Star Treatment, but Jack rolls out of the way. Jack starts one of the trademark DeColt comebacks and has Powell reeling. Powell takes a wild swing and gets a bit forearm to the face that stuns him. End of Days by Jack!

Jack starts to celebrate when the screen over the entrance ramp changes to Joey Poison who is slowly clapping in a mock fashion. Jack looks to the screen and it starts to dawn on him where Joey is. He is in the DeColt locker room!

Joey: "Hey good match there, Jack. I just decided to sit down and watch it with Ricky here."

The camera shifts to show Ricky face down on the ground with the television on top of him. The room itself is trashed and Joey just smiles as Jack looks irate and charges out of the ring.

Joey: "I promised I wouldn't touch you tonight, Jack. I am a man of my word. See you next week!"

Joey laughs as things fade to black.

Notes</div>

- Independent talent Zachary Inc was the man that was beaten in short order by Dan DaLay. It was a one time deal, but he acted professionally and might be brought back to be used as enhancement talent in the future.

- Hudson Drake is signed to a PPA contract with CGC. Hudson Drake has been working with 4C and is currently one half of their tag champs. While too small to ever be a big star it is felt Hudson Drake can become a valuable member of the roster if he is willing to put in the work.

- With the month of January in the books CGC has managed to make a profit on the month despite handing out several written contracts. Exact numbers aren't available, but it is said the company made around twenty-nine thousand in profit.

Luck of the Draw is quickly coming up and several stars of CGC are trying to make a statement and gain momentum going into the show. Matches are forming, but the intrigue of stipulations that won't be known until Luck of the Draw itself happens.

The brothers can rely on one another through thick and thin, but will the team of Joey Poison and Thrill Seeker manage to work together well enough to win and gain some momentum? Dan beats down the much smaller Kirky with little to no effort. A few power moves are delivered to show off his strength before he takes Kirky out with a DaLay Down.

Hudson Drake looks between the two and he seems hesitant to challenge the much bigger Skip Beau so he points to Ian.

Dan stands there for a moment before shaking his head. The man he is talking to doesn't exactly seem angry, but more disappointed.

Dan: "That is all behind me. I am on my own from now on."

???: "I see. I was hoping to hear a different answer. Think it over some more, but for now I will move on."

He steps aside and lets Dan lumber by before he looks to his phone and smirks.

A power against speed match where age is starting to show when it comes to Destiny. He is still not to be underestimated and shows it by tossing Stevie about at the start. He can't finish though and Stevie manages a comeback. Destiny is taken down and Stevie hits Shades of Grayson on him to pick up the victory.

Funky Fro vs Prometheus</div>

Funky Fro doesn't look too bothered by the huge mismatch in side. In fact when Prometheus goes to try and squish him Fro shows some nice fluid movements. It is almost like he is moving to a funky beat in his head as he ducks and dodges. The problem is his own strikes seem to do little to the giant and Prometheus finally gets a hold of Fro. Things all go downhill from there. One big God Chop later and the giant wins again.

Thrill Seeker is wandering the halls and it looks like he found what he was looking for when the camera pans to show Joey Poison trying to keep to himself. Faith is nowhere to be seen as well when Seeker approaches.

Seeker: "I hope you are ready for tonight. I don't even know if I can trust you."

Joey: "I don't care how you feel. I just want a piece of Jack and for you to stay out of the way."

Seeker: "Heh, same goes to you. One thing I think we agree on is we both want to beat the DeColts tonight."

Joey: "Tonight is about breaking his spirit. Win or lose it is more about defeating Jack at Luck of the Draw. Now go away."

Joey gets up and moves away. Thrill Seeker doesn't seem amused, but doesn't give chase.

It is take two with Blockbuster finding himself another partner that he can perhaps work better with. It seems him and Brett are more willing to work with one another to wear down the opposing team and they control most of the match. A miscue sees Blockbuster nail Brett instead of Bobby Thomas and it just sets off the Canadian champ. He clobbers Brett and leaves the ring while Bobby makes a tag to Shane Nelson. Shane watches Blockbuster leave for just a moment before he puts away Brett with a Clash of Styles.

Christian: "I feel good about my chances, but right now? Right now I got Whippy the Clown later tonight. While he is a clown he is certainly no joke when in the ring so I got to keep focused on that. Then after tonight I can start to focus on Luck of the Draw."

Jenny: "If you can manage to get past Dan you defeated a multi time CGC World champion. Do you think this will put you in line for a title shot?"

Christian: "I can't think about that. Sure I would love a shot at Jack, but I got Dan DaLay to worry about while Jack has that scumbag Joey Poison to deal with. If me and Jack get to lock horns that will be great, but it isn't time to think on it. Now excuse me, Jenny, I got to finish getting prepared."

Zeus Maxmillion vs Fate</div>

Fate doesn't do as well as his partner did earlier in the night. Where Destiny had come close a few times to victory Zeus proves to just be too much for the other Soldier of Fortune. Zeus displays his power often much to the delight of the crowd. Finally he finishes off Fate with the Olympian Clutch.

Seeker: "Adrian Garcia huh? A friend of his?"

???: "You can say that. I'm Anslem Briggs and I have a very very good offer that you will find hard to refuse."

Seeker: "I'm listening."

Anslem shakes his head then looks to the camera. Thrill Seeker does too and just nods and both men walk away.

Davis: "Well at least we have a name."

Adrian: "And that is all you get. Hopefully Thrill Seeker listens to what Anslem has to offer. Dan DaLay was a fool for saying no."

Davis: "Are you pulling some strings here?"

Christian Price vs Whippy the Clown</div>

Whippy ambushes Price to get the upper hand early on and gain control of the match. It works for some time, but Price starts to get rolling after some time and it becomes a more even match with several back and forth exchanges. Price has to endure quite a beating, but he finally gains full control of the match with a big boot to Whippy's face that dazes the clown. He capitalizes and hefts up Whippy and delivers the Price Check.

Jack and Ricky DeColt vs Joey Poison and Thrill Seeker with Faith</div>

It is a tale of opposite teams. Both brothers obviously work well since they have been teaming for years where Joey Poison and Thrill Seeker seem to have no chemistry working together as partners. It takes a bit away from the match, but all four men are good enough performers to make up for the timing issues Poison and Thrill Seeker seem to have. The DeColts hold the advantage early on until Joey uses Faith as a distraction despite her protests. It allows Thrill Seeker to wipe out Ricky and the pair focuses on taking apart Jack DeColt afterwards.

Jack takes a beating and he can't get to his brother for a tag. He starts to get a adrenaline rush though and begins making a comeback long enough to break free and tag in Ricky. Ricky comes in and clears out the ring. Jack is still trying to recover fully when Thrill Seeker goes to pull him off the apron to the outside. The referee gets distracted and Ricky as well. It allows Joey Poison to blindside Ricky and hit him with the Antidote Web. Seeker leaves Jack be and the referee turns about in time to see Joey make the cover.

Right now on this one I just finished the Wrestlefestival and I have been having fun. Got a few more faces that will show up but once they do I don't think there is going to be too many more roster changes for now. Also thanks for pointing out the mistake. - The talent destroyed by Dan DaLay is former ACPW talent Kirk Drury. Kirk is one of several talents that have been getting tryout matches for CGC as an enhancement talent. Of the talents used so far Kirk has impressed the most, but was not offered a contract beyond that one appearance.

- Anslem Briggs is a manager that has little to no exposure in Canada and is best known working along the West Coast of the United States. With Adrian Garcia mostly sticking to commentary these days CGC was looking for another male manager and Anslem was the lucky man to get the call. He is signed to a written deal and works exclusively for CGC.

- For those who saw Dan DaLay and noticed he has dropped some weight it is said that the booker of the promotion was looking to shed some pounds as he continues to get older. He is hoping doing so will help extend his in ring career. While a still a bit flabby, he is overall looking in better physical shape.

- Apparently after the last episode of Title Bout Wrestling Joey Poison was telling people that he sees Prometheus as a big star in the future. The giant of a man has been working hard on his in ring work and while still very green management are pairing him with some of the companies better workers to help him get better.

It is the final Title Bout Wrestling before Luck of a Draw and one heck of a main event was announced for it.

Jack DeColt is going to clash with Gargantuan in what will be one brutal match. It is questionable why Alex would book such a fight right before Luck of the Draw, but apparently Jack himself requested Gargantuan because he needed a tough test to make sure he is ready for his title defense against Joey Poison. This could backfire badly and instead Jack may not be in any shape ready to take on Poison in the main event at Luck of the Draw.

Hudson Drake with Drake Young vs Intrepid Ian Identity with Skip Beau</div>

Hudson Drake gets his first action in a CGC ring and it is simple and somewhat short contest against Triple I. Drake often tries to get involved, but Skip keeps making sure the contest is fair to an extent. Hudson Drake does use some cheap tactics to have an early advantage, but Ian manages to make a comeback. Drake Young tries to get involved one last time and ends up getting pulled down by Skip. The chaos outside distracts Hudson and Ian manages to score a win after an Identity Theft.

Professor Funk vs Chucky Dorrance</div>

Chucky doesn't know what to make of the dancing Funk who seems to just move to a rhythm that allows him to avoid Chucky's attempts at getting in some offense. He just seems to slip free from holds as well and eventually he starts to strike back. Everything seems to be to a beat and it has Chucky completely off his game. He makes quick work of Chucky then puts him away with a Funkensteiner.

Seeker and Anslem don't seem too keen on that and decide to back off. They are whispering to one another as Dan's attention returns to the punching bag.

A rather quick squash match with the DWB getting most of the offense in. Serling got to hit a few power moves, but it wasn't enough. Zzzzzzz was the one to eat the Full Throttle and the match is ended before Zzzzzzz's powers kicked in and put everyone to sleep.

Ozzie Golden vs Bobby Thomas</div>

The first match of the night to actually be given some time. A well paced match between the two that see both get some offense in with plenty of back and forth. Bobby mostly had things in hand after some time, but a good old thumb to the eye let Ozzie get things rolling. It serves to be the tide turner he had hoped because not long after he hit the Golden Shower and got the victory.

Jenny quickly gets out of the way of the mayhem and in the end the set is destroyed and Blockbuster stands over Shane with a smug look on his face.

A fast paced contest with both men flying about and taking some big risks. It is all about who makes the first mistake and in this case it was Stevie who crashes and burns when he goes for a dive outside. Whippy moves out of the way and Stevie crashes into the barricade. A heavy hitting match with Thrill Seeker sort of being the odd man out given his style and size. That might actually work out for him because he is much quicker than his opponents this evening. There is some good back and forth until eventually Price gets isolated and worked over by both Dan and Thrill Seeker for some time. He comes close to breaking free and making the tag always to be cut off at the last moment. He finally hits a thundering uppercut on Thrill Seeker out of nowhere and makes the tag. Zeus comes in hot and shows off his power by throwing even the big Dan DaLay about. A big slam on Thrill Seeker and he looks ready to lock on the Olympian Clutch only for Anslem to get on the ring and distracted. It is enough for Dan to attack from behind and lay out Zeus. Christian tries to help his partner, but is still weak from the beating. DaLay Down by Dan on Price who gets tossed out of the ring. Another DaLay down on Zeus and Thrill Seeker covers Zeus for the victory.

Jack DeColt vs Gargantuan</div>

There is nothing pretty about this match. It is just two men throwing fists, forearms and big slams. Gargantuan uses his impressive strength to pummel Jack and throw him about, but the champ doesn't give up or shy away. He keeps going right at the monster and usually pays for it. Gargantuan hits the chokeslam on Jack and gets a close pin, but Jack kicks out at the last moment. The adrenaline kicks in and he starts to make the trademark DeColt comeback. That is until he runs into a large boot and takes another chokeslam. He was out from the looks of it, but Gargantuan delivers the Ultimate Backbreaker too for extra measure.

Gargantuan looks like he is ready to administer more punishment to the fallen champ. He throws Francis long out of the way and looks to attack.

That is until Joey Poison storms in with chair in hands and gets in between the two. Gargantuan looks amused and Joey seems to be telling the monster something. After a few moments Gargantuan looks to Jack once more then to Joey. He just nods and leaves. A few moments later Joey drops the chair at Jack's feet. He can be heard telling jack 'No excuses this Friday' before leaving the ring himself.

Davis: "I am guessing Joey wants Jack healthy. He might not have made it to Luck of the Draw if Gargantuan had his way. That also would mean no title match for Joey."

Adrian: "He should have let Gargantuan rough him up a bit more, but I guess that must be it. He has to feel confident. He is taking that title at Luck of the Draw."

Davis: "Gargantuan destroyed Jack pretty handily tonight. I don't know if he will be fully recovered by Friday."

Adrian: "Good, down with the DeColts!"

Davis: "That is all we have tonight. Be sure to check out Luck of the Draw this Friday!"

It is unknown if he will show up again. - Rumor has it the final two talents signed near the start of the year were to debut this evening, but it was decided to hold off on their first appearance. It is unknown when they will debut, but Luck of the Draw is a strong possibility. - It is being said CGC is looking at international talent and one contract was already offered. It is said that Dan DaLay believes bringing in talent from other parts of the world could possibly give the feeling that CGC is a bigger deal. Friday, Week 3 February 2016

Ontario Canada, 10,000 in Attendance (SOLD OUT)

A graphic of various images flashing by is shown as Alex DeColt can be heard speaking.

Alex: "It is the most unpredictable night of the year for Canadian Golden Combat. Each match will get a special stipulation that is decided right before it leaving each man uncertain at what challenges he may face. Only the most cunning will find a way to come out on top. Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to....LUCK OF THE DRAW!"

Davis: "Welcome everyone to the most unpredictable night of the year! We are the Ottawa Rams Stadium tonight and we are ready to rock!"

Adrian: "Got a lot of matches on tap tonight. We can see Joey Poison finally get that title he has wanted so badly."

Davis: "We also have match number four out of the best of seven series featuring Thrill Seeker and Ricky DeColt. Ricky wins here it could lead to big problems for Thrill Seeker that would require him to win three matches in a row."

Adrian: "I am fully confident Thrill Seeker is going to even things up."

Davis: "We are ready for action and it is about to get underway!"

Both Drake .0 and Identity Skip are in the ring waiting to see the result of the randomizer on the big screen over the entrance ramp. The result?

STRANGE BEDFELLOWS

Each team will get a third partner at random. Drake .0 finds out there partner first and it is.

Chucky Dorrance

Both Drakes seem pleased with that and the trio already start to plot while Identity Skip wait and see who they get. The result is....

Prometheus

Everyone in the ring is really unsure about this one, but both Drakes and Chucky all look slightly more horrified than Ian and Skip.

Rating: 49

Adrian: "You got to be kidding me!"

Davis: "Well we are starting off things with a bang. This tag match has turned into a six man tag!"

Adrian: "And Drake .0 got screwed!"

Davis: "It is all random. This won't be the only time we see something crazy like this."

Drake .0 and Chucky Dorrance vs Identity Skip and Prometheus

The heels try to keep Prometheus out and in fact do so to start things out by keeping Ian away from his partners. Skip also gives his large and in charge partner plenty of space. Prometheus just stares and waits and doesn't really make an effort to get in the ring just yet. Heels control it for awhile before Ian finally fights back and makes a leap to tag! Skip comes in and starts to clean house for a bit until Prometheus tags himself in. Skip leaves the ring quickly and Drake .0 are aware enough to bail. Chucky isn't so lucky and he eats a God Chop. Prometheus plants his foot on Chucky and the referee counts to three.

Winners: Identity Skip and Prometheus

Rating: 40

Adrian: "Disgusting, but I will say Identity Skip is smarter than I thought. They are celebrating outside the ring and letting Prometheus enjoy victory in the ring on his own."

Davis: "In the end I think nothing to resolved between these two teams. Drake .0 ran off. I don't think we have seen the end of this little feud between former friends."

CGC Canadian Championship

Blockbuster vs Shane Nelson

The screen starts to flash and the result is.....

TABLES MATCH

For Shane this sort of helps out in the fact there are no DQ's to use whatever he gets his hands on to fight Blockbuster. It is a dirty brawl that ends up mostly happening outside and even in the crowd for part of it. Blockbuster seems to be too much and he overpowers Shane and eventually gets him in the ring only to toss him up and over the ropes to sent him crashing into a table that was set up at ringside.

Winner and STILL Champion: Blockbuster (Defenses: 2)

Rating: 49

Adrian: "I think we are going to see Blockbuster with that belt for a good logn time."

Davis: "He is a dominant force. Sure he lost some tag matches leading up to this, but when it came down to it he won when it mattered most."

Adrian: "Not sure who can take him out on a straight up one on one match. Garg and Prometheus? Those are the only two I can think of."

Davis: "I am unsure if the ring could handle that sort of match."

Dan DaLay is shown in back preparing for his match later tonight when Anslem approaches him.

Anslem: I don't get you. I thought you would be someone to count on. I am no longer going to bother you, but just remember after tonight you will see what it was a bad idea to turn me down.

Dan sets his weights down and turns to Anslem. The smaller man backs off and Dan just sneers a bit.

Dan: "I think you best be going."

Anslem decides not to push things and does just that. Dan nods and returns to his weights.

Cut to Jenny Playmate with a more than ecstatic Identity Skip who seem to still be celebrating their win.

Jenny: "Congrats on the match earlier, but I think you two still have some unfinished business."

Ian: "Yeah we do, but for now we are going to enjoy this victory. Drake and his buddy can't duck and dodge us forever. They'll run out of places to hide and we'll get them."

Skip: "This is only the start. Me and Ian have been talking and we are thinking of a run at whoever wins the tag titles tonight. We-"

Skip trails off and goes wide eyed. All three back away when Prometheus steps into view. Prometheus just gives a big grin which sends Jenny, Ian and Skip all running. Prometheus' grin turns to a frown and looks to the ground.

Finally things shift over to the House of Funk. Donte looks like he is ready for battle as Fro and Professor Funk stand at his sides.

Fro: "You got this baby. This is what all the training was for!"

Professor Funk: "Remember, baby. You got to find the funk and use it. Do that and you got this fool."

Donte: "I still don't know about all of this, but....thanks? I do feel confident. I can do this. I'll see you guys when I return as a victor."

Davis: "I wish I could say the same. Time to see if all that time with Professor Funk and Funky Fro pays off. It is go time."

Donte Dunn vs Ryan Powell

The screen flashes to life once more and soon gives a result....

I QUIT!

The two lock up and it starts off as a pretty even match with neither man getting the advantage until Powell starts to play dirty. He seems to be beating the confidence out of Donte and is enjoying every moment of it. Donte continues to get beat until his eyes go wide as if something dawned on him. He starts to look confident as he gets to his feet. A confused Ryan Powell goes on the attack and he misses his next few strikes. Donte just seems to find a smooth rhythm to his movements and avoids each one while delivering strikes that connect. Ryan is rocked and Donte takes control. He seems to have found the true power of the funk as Ryan is reeling in moments and quickly screams that he quits when Donte starts taking a chair to him.

Winner: Donte Dunn

Davis: "I don't think I will ever understand it, but it seems whatever the Professor taught Dunn it worked."

Adrian: "I still think it is dumb. We are only three matches in and this place feels like complete chaos right now both in ring and in back."

Davis: "Well we got a lot more so try to keep up."

Adrian: "Hah! Easier said than done."

Hailey Hunter is wandering back stage looking a bit miffed and talking to herself.

Hailey: "Okay, I will find a client tonight. I mean it is Luck of the Draw. I got to get lucky to....night?"

She comes across a room where Brett Fraser is wrestling with a giant man in a bear costume. He comes to a stop with said bear in a headlock.

Brett: "Ello there, 'Ailey. Can I help ya?"

Hailey just stares for a few moments and quickly backs away and goes in another direction. Brett shrugs and goes back to wrestling the bear.

Hailey: "I am sure I can find someone. Just not him...."

She soon comes across an excited Stevie Grayson.

Stevie: "Hailey! Zeus says there is an ice cream monster around here and I am gonna lick it! Come on!"

Hailey stares once more and quickly turns about and runs.

Hailey: "Eeeee.....why can't I find someone normal!?"

Adrian: "....why the hell do we employ some of these people!?"

Davis: "Hailey's bad luck continues. Will she ever find a replacement now that Donte is with his funky brothers?"

Adrian: "I think she is just reminding me why I am not really a manager these days."

The tag titles are up next and both teams make their way to the ring. They wait as the screen comes to life and soon gives the result.

TRIPLE THREAT!

It flashes some more of various pairings and lands on...

The Montreal Mafia

Rating: 41

Davis: "Well the champs can't be happy here. They already had a tough battle ahead of them and now they have two teams involved."

Adrian: "Now this I am fine with. Things are getting interesting here. I know the Mafia are really wanting those titles and now might be the time. Both the champs and the Dirty White Boys were not prepared for this!"

CGC World Tag Team Championships

It is a chaotic match with each team having their own distinct style. Overall it is the DWB that control the tempo as they just overpower the other two teams and look like they are going to avenge their loss and claim the tag titles once more. All was going well until....

Two men come out of nowhere and start to attack the DWB. The four brawl and it soon comes down to the champs realizing what is going on and capitalize on it by going after the Mafia. Marc Raisin is isolated and Warren Technique locks on the STF. Nathan keeps Dermont away and Raisin soon has to tap.

Winners and STILL Champions: The Predators (Defenses: 7)

Rating: 54

Adrian: "I...I know one of those guys. Wasn't that Philippe LaGrenier?"

Davis: "I have never seen either of them. Whoever they are they screwed over The Dirty White Boys!"

Adrian: "That is right. LaGrenier left before you joined up. Get this, Ditterich. That man was a former tag champ here several years back. His partner? Nathan Black."

Davis: "Is that so? So you think the champs are behind this? It did eliminate a big obstacle."

Adrian: "No idea, but there is a past connection!"

Jack is in the back getting prepped when Ricky shows up and slaps him on the back.

Ricky: "You be careful out there. Keep that title safe and I'll take care of Thrill Seeker. Then we can have a good celebration with Alex."

Jack: "I'm always careful even if you don't believe it. I worry more about you. That Anslem character has been hanging out with Thrill Seeker and I feel they are up to something. Just be careful yourself."

Ricky: "Hey! I got this. Going to take more than a new manager to take care of old Ricky here. I am going to finish getting ready! Later!"

He slips out as Jack watches. He lets out a sigh.

Jack: "It isn't the manager so much I am worried about."

A flustered Hailey Hunter still looks to be searching and must not have had any luck. She lets out a big sigh and whines a bit.

Hailey: "Isn't there anyone worthwhile?"

She pauses and hears something. A door is cracked open so she gets closer and peeks. She smiles wide and starts to slip in the room.

Hailey: "Well hello, handsome. You have a moment?"

She slams the door before the camera can show who she is talking to.

Rating: 50

Adrian: "Wonder who she found."

Davis: "I don't know, but after all the bad lucky she has had hope it works out."

Adrian: "I am sure we will find out soon enough."

Davis: "We got three more matches, folks and these are some big ones. Up next we got Dan DaLay vs Christian Price."

Dan DaLay vs Christian Price

The screen starts to flash once more and the result is...

LAST MAN STANDING

That leads to a very physical match between two big brawlers trying to keep the other down for a ten count. Something easier said than done as both men are tough and can absorb a lot of punishment. DaLay controls a good portion of the match, but can't get Price to stay down. There are several 8 and 9 counts, but he just can't finish the younger wrestler off. Soon Price starts to fight back and eventually bloodies Dan. The big man still won't stay down and eventually it comes down to Price having to slam a chair into Dan repeatedly and then put him through a table. Dan tries to get up, but is too weak to get up before the referee counts to ten.

Winner: Christian Price

Rating: 66

Adrian: "That is what you get for being a fool, Dan. If you just accepted Anslem's offer this would have never happened."

Davis: "A brutal match and it took everything for Price to come out on top."

Adrian: "Horrible... Oh well at least the DeColts will lose tonight."

Davis: "You seem so certain."

Adrian: "I have good reason to be!"

Things cut to the back with Jenny Playmate who has Thrill Seeker with her.

Jenny: "Big match tonight for you. A loss here puts you in a bad position. I also notice your new friend, Anslem, isn't around."

Seeker: "Don't worry about him. He is a big boy taking care of some things before this match. I know what is in stake and I am not shaken. I got a plan and it will be executed perfectly. Trust me on that."

He just winks and wanders off.

Rating: 61

Adrian: "A good plan indeed."

Davis: "You know what is going to happen, don't you?"

Adrian: "No idea what you are talking about. Just making a guess."

Ricky DeColt vs Thrill Seeker with Anslem Briggs

The screen begins to flash and we get...

NO DISQUALIFICATION

It starts out slow, but starts to build momentum and get more intense as time moves on. Both men have wrestled one another so often that they are getting to the point where they have to be creative to get the upper hand. Even with the stipulation the match itself is pretty clean at least for the time being as both men come close to victory. That is when Ricky starts to make the infamous DeColt comeback and looks poised to win.

That is until the two men from earlier come out of nowhere once more and start to pound on Ricky. It is a three against one and even though Ricky fights back the odds are too much and he gets overwhelmed. He gets laid out and the two men slip out of the ring and let Thrill Seeker to deliver a Daredevil Drop and pick up the win.

Winner: Thrill Seeker (Series tied 2-2)

Rating: 73

The two new faces along with Anslem get in the ring and start to celebrate the win. There is a big grin as Anslem gets a microphone.

Anslem: "Take a look and get used to this. Remember these faces. Thrill Seeker, Phillipe LaGrenier and Crusher Haverford! We will be running this place. We are the NEO Elite!"

Rating: 55

Adrian: "Yes! Yes! Yes! This is the best!"

Davis: "The NEO Elite!? This has been the plan all along? You instigated this?"

Adrian: "I am just an announcer these days. I just made a few mild suggestions. Hah, and Jack was a chicken and didn't even come save his brother."

Davis: "He has a title match and you know that is why he didn't get involved. I am sure that was part of the plan. Get Jack out there and get him hurt so Joey could easily win."

Adrian: "That would have been great. I think Jack just loves the title more than his brother."

Things get cleaned up and both Jack and Joey are out ready to see what stipulation their match will get. The screen flashes and the result.

LADDER MATCH

Joey is quick to wave his hands and call for a microphone as he shakes his head.

Joey: "No no no no! I am not letting you have an excuse when you lose tonight. I'll win and you'll just say it was because it was a ladder match. I want to beat you, Jack. I want to make it to where you have no excuses. I want a regular match or I walk."

There is some silence and the referee is seen on a headset before having it announced this will no longer be a ladder match. Jack just seems a bit surprised and confused while Joey looks more than ready for battle.

Rating: 73

Adrian: "Joey you idiot!"

Davis: "A strange turn of events. Joey got a match I would say was very favorable and yet he didn't accept it."

Adrian: "He is a moron! He should have taken it and gotten that belt. Win any way you can!"

Davis: "It is hard to get inside the mind of Joey Poison, but I have to agree this could be a very foolish move."

CGC World Championship

Joey goes right after Jack as the bell rings and he is going all out in an attempt to take out the champ. He goes for a quick victory, but it is never so easy when dealing with a DeColt. Jack starts to fight back and it ends up being a very big back and forth match where Joey does what he can to get the upper hand without risking getting himself disqualified. He uses Faith as a human shield at one point too to get the upper hand. He comes close with several pins and finally goes for the Antidote Web to put an end to this. Jack still fights back and he starts to get a second wind. He mounts his comeback and Joey is left reeling and unable to fight back after some big forearms and a big boot. End of Days by Jack! He covers Joey who is aware enough to get his foot on the ropes to keep from being pinned. Jack looks surprised but just hits another End of Days in the center of the ring this time. Joey does not get up.

Winner and STILL Champion: Jack DeColt (Defenses: 3)

Rating: 74

Davis: "Jack retains! A tough match, but Jack retains!"

Adrian: "No no no! A perfect setup ruined. Joey should have just taken the ladder match. Now we are stuck with Jack as champ."

Davis: "The champ is battered and Joey put up an amazing fight, but in the end he couldn't pick up the win. Wow, we are out of time. Tune in Sunday to see all the aftermath! What a night."

Notes

- The two men that debuted tonight were Phillipe LaGrenier and independent wrestler/4C alumi Canadian Crusher. Phillipe was a surprise as his first run with CGC was underwhelming and many felt he didn't want to be associated with CGC again. Crusher was with 4C shortly and hasn't had much luck since being released. Both were quickly aligned with Thrill Seeker as part of the new NEO Elite stable.

- During the tag title match Warren Technique broke his toe. It should not affect him too much, but management might keep him from competing just to be safe.

- Antonio Del Veccio seems to have also healed up and should be returning to the ring soon.

Title Bout Wrestling

Luck of the Draw was crazy as always, but perhaps the biggest news coming out of the show was the formation of the NEO Elite. They came out with a bang and evened up the best of seven series between Ricky DeColt and Thrill Seeker. On top of that we had an incredible title match between Jack DeColt and Joey Poison. Just two days removed what might happen next?

The main event features two men looking for a bounce back win after a tough loss at Luck of the Draw. Ricky DeColt was overwhelmed by the NEO Elite which saw him lose and the series between himself and Thrill Seeker get evened up. Dan DaLay went through a tough battle with Christian Price and took a beating that pretty much too everything but the kitchen sink to keep him down. Two days isn't a lot of time to recover so it will be interesting to see the shape these two will be in.

Blockbuster managed to keep his CGC Canadian title after a tables match involving Shane Nelson. It seems confidence is riding high as the big man is going to have an open challenge just two days later. Who will accept? Is anyone going to be able to take the title off of the big man?

Will the NEO Elite show their faces? What about Joey Poison and Jack DeColt after that tough match? Will they be in shape to show up? So many questions and the only way to get those answers is to turn into Title Bout Wrestling!

Alex: "He wears a mask."

It is the same thing I have heard Alex say over and over. I was looking at some international prospects and given how SOTBPW is faring I looked into the world of lucha libre. While I think I found a good prospect it seems Alex is not so keen.

Dan: "He wrestles a more traditional style so should fit in fine. He has a good build and he can work as well as entertain. Are you really going to let a mask be the deciding factor."

Alex: "And he won't remove it if we hire him?"

Dan: "No, and I would not ask him. Look, I made him an offer and it isn't big money. Give him a chance."

Alex: *Sigh* I trust you, Dan. Truth be told you have made things much less stressful. You aren't fighting me all the time like Phil was. Wasn't there another person you wanted to show me?"

I just grinned some while looking down that the tablet I was holding. A few taps and I brought up another profile and showed it to Alex. At first Alex stood there saying nothing, but then I saw a smile start to form. While I knew Alex might be hard to convince on the first I figured the second would be all too easy to get him to agree to.

Alex: "Now this.....we can work with this. He is willing to come all the way to Canada?"

Dan: "For cheap too."

Alex: "Sign him. Sign both of them. We'll see what we can do. In the end I feel we at least have one that will be worthwhile."

Dan: "I'm on it, friend."

Title Bout Wrestling

Sunday, Week 3 February 2016

The Maritimes Canada, 2,400 in Attendance

Davis: "Welcome everyone to Title Bout Wrestling! We had a crazy night Friday and who knows what may happen tonight."

Adrian: "We know a few things. We know Blockbuster is putting his CGC Canadian title on the line and for the main event we got Ricky DeColt vs Dan DaLay."

Davis: "I am sure between those we are getting plenty of surprises. I am sure you friend Anslem and his Neo Elite group will be around."

Adrian: "God, I sure hope so. Looks like we got to deal with Jack DeColt first."

A beaten up, but happy looking Jack DeColt steps out to the ring and asks for a microphone. He raises his title high and waits for the crowd to die down so he can speak.

Jack: "Respect. That is something that is hard to earn, but last night after all that Joey did to piss me off he did something I didn't expect. He wanted to face me man to man and have no excuses. I won't pretend to understand how his mind works, but last night that match he showed he deserves respect. I could very well have walked out without this title, but I did. I remain your champ and I will continue to fight and defend it to all comers."

This prompts Joey Poison to come out and after an uneasy stare down Jack offers his hand. Joey mulls it over and instead gets his own microphone.

Joey: "I don't care about respect. If you want to respect me that is fine. I know I can beat you Jack. You just admitted there was perhaps luck that helped you escape with that title. Give me one more shot, Jack. Face me at Wrestlefestival and see if you can get lucky twice."

Jack looks to the title then looks to Joey. He shoulders the title and holds out a hand while speaking into the mic.

Jack: "Then shake my hand. Two men wanting the same thing. Show me the same intensity you showed last Friday."

Joey sees reluctant, but he shakes the hand quickly and Jack grips it tight.

Jack: "And be damn prepared because I am not going down without a fight."

Joey pulls his hand away and just nods. He leaves the ring while Jack plays to the crowd once more.

Rating: 76

Davis: "Wow, it looks like we will be getting a rematch and I am interested."

Adrian: "Joey should have taken the stipulation on Friday. He wouldn't have had to have this conversation if he did."

CGC Canadian Championship

Blockbuster vs Skip Beau

Skip is quick to accept the challenge that the champ makes and the two men begin to brawl. Blockbuster is larger, but Skip isn't exactly small himself. It is a rather brutal match between the two men, but Blockbuster is just too much. He hefts up Skip and puts him away with a Busterbomb.

Winner and STILL champion: Blockbuster (Defenses: 3)

Rating: 46

Blockbuster continues the assault after the win and looks like he is ready to pull out a table when unfamiliar music starts to play.

Antonio Del Veccio comes running to the ring with Hailey Hunter in tow. He hits the ring and starts to take it to Blockbuster and manages to get the upperhand. He sends Blockbuster out of the ring and stands tall. Hailey joins ADV and she checks on Skip as the champ retreats.

Rating: 49

Adrian: "So that is who Hailey found? I don't know so much about that one."

Davis: "A strange turn of events, but it looks like Antonio Del Veccio is feeling better and he has his eyes on the champ and has Hailey Hunter at his side."

Adrian: "He had so much promise, but ugh. This isn't like him to save someone. The woman has already ruined him."

Things cut to backstage where Jenny Playmate is standing with The Predators.

Jenny: "Gentlemen. You had a tough match at Luck of the Draw, but it seemed you had some assistance."

Nathan: "Now hold on a moment. The Dirty White Boys were taken out by someone, but we had to beat two teams, Jenny. Don't make it sound like it was easy."

Jenny: "And one of the men who interfered was an old tag team partner of yours. In fact someone you held those titles with."

Warren: "Don't start stuff, Jenny. I already talked with Nathan here and I was assured he had nothing to do with that attack. And as you can see they have other priorities. Why they decided to mess with The Dirty White Boys isn't our business. Our business is defending these titles and we will do so next week."

Jenny: "Wait, you are? I didn't hear anything about that."

Nathan: "Just watch, Jenny. It will be a great match."

The two wander off leaving Jenny uncertain if that last statement could be true.

Rating: 45

Ozzie Golden vs The Trademark

A short match mostly to highlight Ozzie and his offense, but his cockiness meant The Trademark got some early offense in and almost a surprise submission. Ozzie recovers and eventually puts The Trademark away with a Golden Shower.

Winner: Ozzie Golden

Rating: 50

Adrian: "Ozzie has been doing good lately. I would have said Hailey should have gone after him, but after seeing what she did with Antonio I am glad she didn't."

Davis: "Another win for the Golden One who has been impressive. He keeps this up he might be wearing gold as well."

Shane Nelson vs Ryan Powell

The crowd reminds Ryan he is a quitter after his match at Luck of the Draw and he isn't in a good mood about it. It throws him off his game early on to where Shane has the advantage, but that annoyance also seems to fuel him and help him get control for awhile. It is a good back and forth match and Shane starts to roll once more. He looks ready to win when he gets caught in a roll-up and the referee fails to see Powell and his handful of tights.

Winner: Ryan Powell

Rating: 52

Davis: "Again! Can this man not win without cheating?"

Adrian: "Win is a win, Ditterich. Referee didn't see it so it isn't cheating."

Davis: "He is a cheat and a quitter and you know it."

Adrian: "How DARE you?"

The Neo Elite are backstage all looking rather cocky. It is Anslem that is the first to speak up.

Anslem: "The newest and hottest group here in CGC. You may not know that yet, but you will soon find out. Friday was just the start of things and well tonight we will show what we are about."

Thrill Seeker: "Four men that are all tired with how things work around here. Three men that will change it for the better. Where the old guard couldn't get the job done we will be sure to put an end to the DeColts and run wild here in CGC."

Rating: 53

Adrian: "Music to my ears."

Davis: "Many have said it before. They have a lot to prove and I guess we are going to see one of them in action right now."

Adrian: "Night just got better if you asked me."

Funky Fro vs Phillipe LaGrenier with Anslem Briggs

A bout between two of the newer roster members that allow both men some time to strut their stuff. Fro has a good bit of offense to kick things off, but Anslem makes his presence known and creates some good distractions. In fact Anslem distracting the ref allows for Crusher Haverford to come in and attack Fro from behind. Phillipe capitalizes on that and hits the Quebec Arrow and Fro is out.

Winner: Phillipe LaGrenier

Rating: 47

Davis: "I think Funky Fro should have brought backup."

Adrian: "Glad he didn't. Can't stand those guys. And look at that. Aren't the Neo Elite great?"

Davis: "Not at all."

Adrian: "They ruin your day. That makes them great in my book."

The Dirty White Boys are in back in a room watching things on a television. Neither seem like they are in a good mood.

Grease Hogg: "Got screwed out of the titles again."

Lead Belly: "Yeup."

Grease Hogg: "And all because these Neo Elite idiots."

Lead Belly: "Yeup."

Grease Hogg: "Want to get revenge?"

Lead Belly: "Hell yeah!"

The two nod and get up leave the room looking to be on the hunt.

Adrian: "That is a big mistake."

Davis: "Or Neo Elite made the mistake of messing with The Dirty White Boys."

A highlight video starts to show a rather frantic series of a man with a mask quickly subduing various opponents with impressive moves. After the last one is dealt with he back flips then turns about to face the screen.

Mister Lucha III is Coming

Rating: 36

Adrian: "Wait, who?"

Davis: "I am sure in time you will find out. I have heard good things and I am certainly interested in seeing him in action."

Adrian: "You are too easily excited, Ditterich."

Bobby Thomas vs Joey Poison with Faith

Joey shows the same intensity as he did on Friday and Bobby seems unprepared. The veteran is overwhelmed which is very rare for someone as ring savvy as Bobby. He fights back, but has little luck. Joey is just too much and he eventually Bobby eats an Antidote Web and Joey stands tall.

Winner: Joey Poison

Rating: 57

Adrian: "Big deal. He needs to do that to Jack and hold up the title. Then maybe I will forgive him for his actions."

Davis: "A good showing by Joey Poison as he looks to get back on track. He has a rematch and I am sure he won't squander that and will keep his eye son the prize."

Adrian: "He should already have the belt!"

Jenny Playmate is backstage with Christian Price who is all smiles.

Jenny: "Big win for you on Friday as you finally put Dan DaLay down in a brutal match. So what is next in the cards for you?"

Christian: "Well Jenny....like everyone else here I would love the gold. It looks like Jack isn't done with Joey just yet so I just need to challenge myself in other ways. Gargantuan, I hope you are listening. I finally slayed one beast and now I want to slay another. I challenge you to a match!"

Jenny: "Are you sure this is a good idea? Gargantuan has a very impressive record with most of his losses due to him being too brutal and getting disqualified."

Christian: "It is a tall order, but to be champ here you have to be the best and if I can beat Gargantuan I think it is hard to argue that I would be considered one of the best here."

Jenny: "Well....good luck! You'll need it."

Rating: 62

Adrian: "Luck? He better be picking out his own coffin."

Davis: "I have to question that line of thinking, but if he does manage to beat Gargantuan it would be an impressive feat."

Adrian: "It won't happen. He is a dead man walking. He should have let sleeping beasts lie."

House of Funk vs Montreal Mafia

A competitive tag match that sees the Mafia have an advantage through most of it due to their experience as a team. It all turns around when Donte and Professor Funk seem to channel The Funk and they start to avoid attacks and counter with their own. Montreal Mafia are totally confused and it leads to Ayers being dumped out of the ring and Professor Funk delivering the Funkensteiner to Marc Raisin.

Winners: House of Funk

Rating: 56

Davis: "Fro didn't have luck earlier, but he has to feel better seeing his buddies get a good win."

Adrian: "Pfft. I wish they would all just go away."

Dan DaLay vs Ricky DeColt

A match that has happened many a time, but yet the two still do well to get the crowd into things. Ricky has to rely more on his speed to keep Dan on his toes instead of a straight up brawl that might happen between Jack and Dan. Dan uses his size advantage to get the upper hand many a times and Ricky takes a beating. He still finds reserves and start to make a comeback. Dan looks to stymie that with a bit lariat, but Ricky ducks and hits a DeColt 45. Dan is rattled and does't fully go down. A second DeColt 45 finally takes the big man off the feet and Ricky makes the pin.

Winner: Ricky DeColt

Rating: 72

The Neo Elite quickly hit the ring before Ricky has much time to recover and start to beat him down. Ricky is absolutely getting destroyed until help arrives in the form of Jack DeColt and The Dirty White Boys. Neo Elite bail, but their job is done and Ricky is completely trashed.

Rating: 62

Adrian: "Ahahaha, too slow you idiots."

Davis: "You got to be kidding me. After a hard fought battle Neo Elite jump Ricky and who knows what shape he is in now."

Adrian: "I have to believe that best of seven series is in the bag."

Davis: "Folks, we have to go. Tune in next week and hopefully we can get this Neo Elite group under control!"

Happy this has restarted again, one of my early faves when I first started reading diaries on here.

It was good to get over the hump and get back into this one. It was just rough because the next show I had was Luck of the Draw which was a rather long one. Now I am feeling more in the groove. This probably won't be updated as much as AAW, but I am going to try to maybe do a show a week if I can help it.
