<p>Well, I checked the D2 vote in that game and yes, its how she voted for Eayragt, and I do know Outlaw is a stickler for the rules. I'd also like to know from moon_lit_tears what her reasoning was behind the vote as I remember her being keen to lay off whilst we were voting earlier.</p>

That said it’s precisely the reason I was against a lynch in the first place simply for the fact that scum knows who their allies are and town doesn’t. I do feel like we learned much more than a typical day one though and didn’t have to lose a townie for all of it.</p>

I also said if that’s what the town wanted. I did rush my post as it was a few minutes before deadline and tried to catch up quickly. Had my vote been the hammer we would have found a few things out. 1. If he was scum, which I was still unsure of and am still unsure of 2. If there is a double voter out there. </p><p> </p><p> I’ve never been one for day 1 lynches, they seem random, and kind of harsh. We have information to build on and we didn't gamble on mislynching at a time when the odds are greater you'll hit town than scum. We did stuff, got work done, and got it done safely. But that's the beauty of night phases from the town perspective. Unless someone has a "I'm Megatron" moment, anybody can be anything Day 1. Once Night 1 comes and goes, abilities have had to be used and that's when people can really start marking themselves by their actions. At that point, the need to fear a lynch decreases dramatically. It becomes easier to do meaningful legwork to justify votes and gets more so with each passing phase. For me, Day 2 is when I feel like the game is on in earnest. Before that it's just a feeling out process unless we're fortunate enough to have had a phase like the one just past.</p>

Not to mention just more time for everyone to get a feel for the rest of the town and various reactions to whatever happens in the night. We’re no longer as blind as we were on a day one.</p>
