Unless stated otherwise you can always assume that if a feature was in TEW2016 it will also be in TEW2020.

Hmm, not sure if it's working as intended on patch 1.58 (II) for tew 2016 then, as I ran a few test sims and the a.i has replaced bookers for multiple companies but they kept the same product from the start of the game instead of the bookers style preference.

As you stated, I will assume this feature is still included in 2020 unless you say otherwise.

It's the owner that controls product changes (Style Preference is part of the owner data in the editor), not the booker. A change in booker won't have any effect, a change in ownership will.

I hate to ask but can someone explain why we need to suggest products? I know for suggestions and all that good stuff, but I mean more like what are products? We can still customize our own, right?

Entry #42 in the Dev Journal covers products, hopefully that gives you all the answers you need. There was discussion about it somewhere in here too, but you'd have to dig back into the thread to find that. :)

Custom products are no longer allowed. I think the new method is dumb, but I’m willing to give it a shot.

Yeah I am not sure how fiddling with drop down menus is different than choosing from anywhere between 50 to 60+ pre-built products. Not like products in the game mattered THAT much, to a degree, but I think the pros and cons of each product should be super transparent and easy to use.

There needs to be a filter, too. If we have to look at a giant page of products, kill me.

I'm sure there will be a filter. I think they even mentioned somewhere about the ability to search products based off real world products too. So I'm guessing it is going to be pretty user friendly

There is a filter and your product screen gives you all the info you need for your product. It's also far more easy to understand your products now than it ever was. No more will there be a need for people to try to guess how much lucha libre there should be in WWE's product (hint: none) or anything like that. Just well defined products that cover a huge variety of styles as you can tell from the list Adam has posted already. And of course, there are more to be added if you can see a niche that isn't already obviously filled. :)

As a small aside, please do keep asking questions. It's better to ask about something than to assume a negative. It also makes the community a bit of a happier and more positive place, which is pretty much the number one request I've had from everyone I've spoken to about the forums in general. So let's keep aiming for that and being constructive. :)

<p>Can somebody pls give me a rundown, of what will change from 2016-2020 and has to be reconsidered for mod makers, who want to upgrade their 2016 mods?</p><p> </p><p>

Example: Stable Avatars need to be set. Does the loading screen layout change? Do attributes have to bet set completely new or will it convert the old data and set them automatically? and so on...</p><p> </p><p>

Just want to get an overview of what needs to be done.</p>

From the diary and what Adam has said here, the attributes have done pretty good at automatically adjusting based on the stats from 2016, but some tweaking will need to be done. You'll need to add arena's for the new world areas unless you are fine with the generic ones. Not sure how well the products will carry over and if you'll need to mess with them,

There's a link to each post of the journal on the first page of the thread.</p>

<p>Currently working on a booking helping agent within microsoft access that will virtually auto list the shows for you week by week. So you can type out/create storylines up to a year out and run the "report" within access that will autopopulate the show. </p><p> </p><p>

Also theres a storyline creator im working on within the database that will break everything up into seasons (3 months = 1 season) </p><p> </p><p>

I was working on it side by side reading all the new features that TEW 2020 has coming and figured that i was tired of typing and writing all this out and having to organize things myself, why not create a database with stories i can create on the fly and then just assign them to shows/characters/and spaces of time within the TEW universe later. </p><p> </p><p>

IF there is any level of interest i can explain it further and post screenshots in a separate thread but i figured i can share what the plans were for this and see if anyone is interested as im getting near completion of the design so now im just creating storylines/arcs from here to work within the Show designer.</p><p> </p><p>

PS still barebones and ugly, excuse the screenshot, will make pretty once all foundations operate correctly.</p><p><a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2019_11/395333056_showrun.JPG.c39e7554fcfac258ceaaf6955ffb0497.JPG" data-fileid="3537" data-fileext="jpg" rel=""><img data-fileid="3537" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="395333056_showrun.thumb.JPG.26bc7571deef2cb96756d4ec0a7725b5.JPG" data-src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2022_08/395333056_showrun.thumb.JPG.26bc7571deef2cb96756d4ec0a7725b5.JPG" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></a></p>

I want a "save as" option for saving a game. For example, say you've booked a show and you want to save your game but not rewrite the previous game just in case you booked something wrong/picked a wrong winner/etc. I know you could save, back out then copy save, but it'd save a couple clicks and may be useful in other situations.

You know, I prefer when when we could decide if we want a preexisting TV show is to be a regular weekly show or a tour highlight show. Doesn't mean much, but it's nicer to see tour highlights being on an actual show with a name (i.e. PGHW King's Road) and schedule instead of what was in TEW16.
