That was mid-2004 probably.

It's been a hell of a journey... Playing TEW and then later on WMMA motivated me to work in the industry and nowadays I am a MMA manager who promoted more than 20 MMA shows in my native Brazil and I just got hired to be a MMA matchmaker for a show in the USA. For sure Adam and the whole team have a great part on inspiring me to work with what I love.

And now I am here, still on the forum, still counting the days until TEW 2020 drops lol

I started with EWD's first release I was about 13 so exactly 20 years for me now. The only one I haven't played is TEW04 since I didn't have a way to buy it. My first one purchased was 07 but I've gone back and played 05 once it hit freeware. I wish there was a way to play 04 as I want to try it out and see some of the features that didn't carry over.

It's nuts that I've been playing since at least 2004 with this series and it's still the only series like it.

I played the crap out of EWR. To this day I wish I knew how to take that code and improve on it. Maybe a more nostalgic reason more than any.

I played the TEW 05 and 08 demos but never bought them. The fun of EWR wasn't there for me. Finally I bought TEW 10 when it came out and have bought each new game within a week of release.

TEW 20 has me hyped more than any other release.

I started with Promotion Wars way, way back when [i think the year was 2000.] I was a young lad then and I didn't own a computer so I would walk to the public library and download it (even though I wasn't supposed to download on the library computers) and play for hours. That led me to discovering Extreme Warfare 2000 and then Extreme Warfare Deluxe. Since then I have played every iteration of the game (though 04 was the one I spent the least amount of time on as I didn't purchase it, I only played it on a friend's computer who had purchased it). It's been a heck of a ride, almost twenty years in. I've played these games for over half my life. They hold a very special place in my heart!

I had it loaded at my Girlfriends house and I'd play it on her families PC, I've spent more hours playing this series of games than any other game series in my life and its not even close. Looking forward to continuing the streak.

My first encounter with Mr Ryland’s games was when a friend introduced me to EW9000. Thinking about it now, I just feel old. Promotion Wars was definitely the best of the rest but that’s not saying much — there were some tremendously shoddy attempts at alternatives knocking around at that time, many of which never even got finished — and, respectfully, even PW wasn’t anywhere close to EW in any meaningful way. EW Deluxe was miles ahead of anything anyone else (that I’m aware of) had even attempted, and so far the TEW series gets significantly better with every new release. I’m a confirmed purchase as long as the series goes on I reckon.

I think it competed with Extreme Deluxe (it had a few features EWD didn't like feuds) but once EWR came out it was all over.

I started out using TNM 7, then had a very brief cup of tea with Promotion Wars, a brief cup of coffee with ESWF, then I found EW, EWD, EWR, and now the TEW series. Although I used the freeware TEW 2005 version, I put my money into purchasing the 2016 version a couple of years ago as part of the Grey Dog 12 days of Christmas Sale.

The ESWF universe might be an interesting TEW mod. Many great parody characters.

Of course I don't remember most of the details.

I can not wait! Wrestling Fan since I was 7 years and now that Im starting my thirties its still one of the simple things that still gives me pleasure. Great to have such a hobby.

Unfortunately I really never got into the TEW editions, for some reason no game gave me the same gameplay fun as the good old EWR 4.2! Now that I took a break, really looking forward to spend some decent hours playing this game during Corona Home Office time haha

One more day!!!!
