There should 100% be floors for some stats.

 

Things like Stamina and Athleticism don't just drop on a linear trend to "0" which is completely absurd. Those sort of stats should at the very least be tied to physical appearance. A guy who is a ripped muscular heavyweight shouldn't fall to 0 Athleticism, that just makes no sense.

 

The problem is that "0" in TEW terms isn't 0 for a wrestler, it's 0 for a human being... so a guy like The Undertaker is never going to drop to 0 brawling, that's like him forgetting to punch someone. DDP's been retired for years but he's damn sure not a 0 in Athleticism, and being in "time decline" doesn't make you get tired from getting out of bed.

Great changes again.

 

I want to do more unemployed start games as I feel it the most realistic and organic way to play the game. But it’s always a gamble.

 

My last unemployed start game it took me 5 applications and a year and 11 months to get hired by EXODUS.

Hey my painkiller suggestion made it in!

 

 

The legacy feature is interesting to me, it’s the closest thing we’ve gotten for workers having real children in game.

/nod.

This is the best upgrade by far, so that there finally is some challenge in the game instead of easy mode.

 

Now i hope for a major AI booking overhaul so that the AI for major promotions delivers top rated angles on every show and stop pushing mediocre workers or has-beens deep in time decline as top main eventers. That would make the game less "easy mode" and even more competitive.

 

I really wish this game had a difficulty mode that gave the AI a big bonus on higher difficulties.

Looks like today's entry delivers. I'm happy if it improves it.

The point of an unemployed game is its supposed to be an organic hiring experience rather than a hostile takeover. I quite like the idea of only being able to work for companies that are actually hiring.
This is why I do them as well.

I don't like how hard it is to get hired. Usually it says "owner thinks he is better for the job", so that really only leaves you to wait until either a company opens or a position opens up.

You can’t just make things up.

 

You can't just completely separate logic from reality.

 

Think about what 0 stamina means in TEW terms. Yes, in TEW a non-wrestler has "0" stamina... but 0 stamina in TEW means they are completely gassed being near a ring for 5 minutes... not every single retired wrestler is going to drop to "0" stamina. Just because non-wrestlers were given a default of 0 athleticism doesn't mean they have 0 athleticism! If you are heading towards retirement, you don't lose all of your cardiovascular ability! Road agents and backstage staff don't run out of stamina when they have to run or do pull apart brawls...

 

Just because non-wrestling stats were set up a certain way for ease of mod making (it'd be a complete waste to set Stamina or Athleticism for a non-wrestler 100s of times) doesn't mean that's how the stats work in TEW.

Agreed.

 

Truthfully, all non-wrestlers in TEW should have zero in each in-ring skill or wrestling skill. The only skills they should have anything in is resilience and entertainment skills, or refereeing/commentary/announcing skills, depending on what their role is.

 

Some retired wrestlers could probably still wrestle quite well, or at least decently. In real life, some older wrestlers can still wrestle pretty good, like Jericho, though truthfully most of those wrestlers can still wrestle good because they don't work an intensive schedule.

 

In the Cornellverse, there are guys like Dan Stone Jr and Jeremy Stone who are still considered world class wrestlers after they've retired.

<p>One of the main things I always said I disliked about TEW compared to EWR was how stale the world soon became, companies would rarely hire or fire anyone after a certain time, so I'm happy with the more aggressive AI and now a change to the code in if/when they fire people. </p><p> </p><p>

Plus ... everything else that's been announced, obviously! Nothing I've shaken my head over, anyway.</p>

And having the option to get an e-mail when a company is losing money is awesome. The amount of times I've seen SWF buy out a company and I would have done the same thing had I realized it. Improvements to how the AI will push and depush talent is a major thing for me. Too many times I’ve seen SWF cling to a 54 year old Jack Bruce with single digit physicals, but yet have some of the best young talent rotting in developmental or in the opening slots. I don’t believe that certain stats should ever drop that low though. Stats like stamina or consistency should maintain some sort of value imo.

Well, it really depends on who he's in the ring with. His 'Mania match with Roman didn't exactly set the world on fire, either. And of course, there was that mess with him and Kane against D-X...

I wouldn’t say 0 stamina but he has essentially zero top row skills anymore and his safety and basics are awful now

 

The only respectable outing he’s had in the last 3-4 years was a 5 minute squash of Cena. He might not necessarily be worse than a guy like Nakaniahi or Tenzan but they aren’t booked in high level matches anymore where they are a danger to themselves and others.

Yeah, well i think it depends how you see it...

I think Undertake is more a presence than a top class athlete. He's older and it's normal. I don't believe he is 0 stamina. I bet he's in better shape than most of us... :D:D:D

 

If we compare a Taker's match versus a young guys match like Ricochet etc... of course we don't get the same quality of match.

Wow, that's a lot of additions today. Think they all should have a positive impact. Definitely like the body change notification change and changes to how the AI companies release talent. The latter should help with historical mods where owners were pretty ruthless with talent releases (looking at you, Vince Jr).

That would save so much time. It's not a pain to import things in the database, or copy the database data to another database in the files, but it'd still be a nice little thing to have.

 

Copy Database would be nice. Importing isn't really a "pain" per say, but it can be time consuming. Not to mention if you accidentally forget to import things in the right order, you can find yourself having to back track and re-import some things. Forgetting to import gimmicks prior to workers means no one has a gimmick preset. Same with movesets. So an option to copy a database or import a whole database (with the game doing it in the correct order) is one of those "quality of life" things that isn't NEEDED, but would be really nice if possible.
