CGC 2019: The Show Must Go On

Recommended Posts

Okay, I marked out for so many moments in this show. Jack DeColt taking his win back with the DeColt Highlight Reel. Gnaw drinking the potion. Blockbuster winning. Bobby taking out Stevie and Zeus going wild. I just love the way you write.

Whatever your next project turns out to be, I'm there for it. I love your writing style and I like the way you book shows. And I'm not mad about finishing on a mid-point. After all, in this world, CGC isn't closing. It's nice to think that this fictional world will continue without us watching it.

Sunday Week 2, September 2019

Waterloo University Area, Ontario (4,810)

  • PHILIPPE LaGRENIER BEATS SKIP BEAU with a Package Piledriver (15:17) in a long, hard-fought revenge match coming out of the Rumble. Skip tried to earn a tag title shot, but it was not to be. C+
  • Bobby Thomas gives an injury update on Stevie Grayson, who is in stable condition. He's apologetic for accidentally kicking him, but that's not enough for Zeus Maxmillion who is out for blood. Diablo encourages the bloodlust but advises Zeus not give Bobby a title match. "That's what he wants". A tag team match is scheduled for next week; Zeus & Diablo vs Bobby and a partner of his choice. C+
  • In a battle of newcomers, HUSTLE KING BEATS CHRISTIAN VARS by headbutting him out of midair (4:36) E+
  • WOOLABONGA BOGANS BEAT DELIVERY DRONES #2 & #7 (Drake) with the Billabong Boomerang (7:56) and are announced as the No.1 Contenders for the tag team titles C-
  • Shane Nelson feels he let the fans down in the Rumble, but says won't let them down as he battles Blockbuster tonight D
  • Certain that he doesn't need a '6-minute magic potion' to succeed, Ian Identity is fired up and ready to fight Gnaw. D+
  • GNAW DESTROYS IAN IDENTITY with The Feast (6:48). Fueled by the potion, the ferocious feline feels no pain... and unlike Joey, it doesn't wear off after 6 minutes (Great Chemistry!) C-
  • Leading his unstoppable killer cat around, Joey Poison tells Ian that this "could have been him" C
  • BLOCKBUSTER BEATS SHANE NELSON via BusterBomb (8:04) in a very one sided main event D+
  • As Blockbuster gloats about his victory in the Last Man Standing Rumble, Jack DeColt comes out to confront him. Ever since Blockbuster took the CGC World Title from him a year earlier, Jack has avoided him. He wondered if he had what it took to be on the top any more. Beating Jack Bruce at Last Man Standing changed that, and now it's time to face his demons. He challenges Blockbuster to a match, putting the CGC Canadian Title on the line. But Blockbuster refuses. That title is beneath him. Jack is beneath him. And all match requests need to go through his new agent... Adrian Garcia. The Consultant to the Stars returns to guide a new star. B+

FINAL RATING: C (1.24 on Maple Leaf Sports)

It's the CGC Lightning round, and I quickly play through the save to see how far I can get before TEW 2020 is released! No time for full write-ups. Only summaries.

Strong segments make up for a weak main event. The show was designed to split the roster into their Apocalypse feuds, quickly and cleanly. What makes me happiest is the Great Chemistry between Identity and Gnaw. Identity has been dogged by negative chemistry this entire game, and this cements I chose the right guy to be turned by the potion. It was between Gnaw and Sayeed, but Sayeed has really bad morale, and I see potential in the masked man.

This is Shane Nelson's last CGC match, as I let his contract expire 2 days after this show. I never found anything for him. Only once in countless CGC games I've played have I ever found him a good role, where he was the mystery new masked Soldier of Fortune, while also sidekicking for Thrill Seeker. An exhausted everyman.

CGC Canadian Title: Kevin Lomas vs Jack DeColt ©

I don´t see Lomas being the one who takes the belt off from Jack.

Zeus Maxmillion & Diablo DeVille vs Bobby Thomas & ?????

I go with draw after things escalate out of control here.

Express Delivery vs Crusher Haverford & Christian Vars

Regular tam over random pairing.

Gnaw vs Skip Beau

Gnaw´s potion likely carry him past skip on this one.

Dice Elderberry vs Rusty Mills

In all honesty, I have no idea here but since it´s singles guy versus tag guy I go with singles guy with the idea that he would need the win more.

Adrian Garcia? Boo! BOOOOOOOOOO! But in the best way, love me a good Heel. :)

CGC Canadian Title: Kevin Lomas vs Jack DeColt ©

A tune-up for the Last DeColt Standing as he continues to chase Blockbuster.

Zeus Maxmillion & Diablo DeVille vs Bobby Thomas & ?????

I hate to bet against a surprise partner, but I think that Diablo begins to push Zeus towards a sad Heel turn.

Express Delivery vs Crusher Haverford & Christian Vars

Poor, tiny Christian.

Gnaw vs Skip Beau

The Terrible Tiger continues his charge to the top.

Dice Elderberry vs Rusty Mills

He's just so big!

Let's start with LMS. I thought it was an amazing show, really enjoyable. frozen North/Bogans was fun, always nice to see them lose and Bogans win. Jack/Bruce was really, really good. One of my favourite matches on the card and in this diary. The characters, the moves, just glorious. The LMS match itself, always fun, but I enjoyed it. I liked the fact it had sections (New signings, drones, tag teams, top storylines, then finish). Interested that Gnaw was the one who drank the potion, intriguing choice and well, probably the best one you had, even more than Ian. The Express Delivery were MVP's throughout, just the smarmy plan that worked so well, it was great. The final four were expertly selected, and the fact that there were so may guys in the ring when Ancrie joined was really good, meant anybody could win it. In my mind, I think if Blockbuster was being an A$$ about losing it to Ian (who seemed the obvious winner), I would have given it to Bobby Thomas over the three (Ancrie and Buster the other two seem Buster only would let him or those two win). Why? He's pushing for the world title, was involved in the finish for the main event and could have done with the boost, but hey that's a preference plus, Buster winning does make sense given his character. The world title match was glorious. Such an interesting dynamic with Robin on one side and Diablo and Stevie on the other, even though Diablo is heel so Zeus hadn't an advantage, only for Bobby to make a mistake and almost screw Zeus. Just really excellent. There's a reason I hold you as top writer on the boards and really, really hope you decide to start a new project when 2020 comes out.

With the short show summary, I'm cool with it. If anybody can make the most out of shorter write ups and still give excellent content, that'd be you. I assume we'll be having a good few shows over this week leading to Apocalypse where we'll have a full write up of a show, that'd be cool. Also Adrian Garcia... BOOOOOOO but also YAAAAAAAY. I love some slimy Garcia heel work.

CGC Canadian Title: Kevin Lomas vs Jack DeColt ©

Lomas is a tag guy

Zeus Maxmillion & Diablo DeVille vs Bobby Thomas & ?????

It depends on who he chooses, but I give to Thomas based on this allows Zeus to lose without jobbing.

Express Delivery vs Crusher Haverford & Christian Vars

Crushers a beast, but Vars is not and Express Delivery are one of the best booked tag teams in any diary ever so, slight disadvantage for the faces.

Gnaw vs Skip Beau

Ian was dominated last time, can't imagine Skip would be any different.

Dice Elderberry vs Rusty Mills

Dice is a little more effective by himself while Rusty is mostly a dominant guy in the tag scene.

Sunday Week 3, September 2019

Surrey, British Columbia (4,019)

  • Adrian Garcia returns to commentary, thrilled about his new relationship with Blockbuster, which he talks about throughout the night. 'Buster's a perfect physical specimen, but has been unfocused, wasting his energy on pointlessness like Skip Beau. B
  • EXPRESS DELIVERY BEAT CHRISTIAN VARS & CRUSHER HAVERFORD by avoiding the big man and First Class Packaging skinny flippy boy Vars (6:22). D+ They announce that next week they defend their tag titles against the Woolabonga Bogans. They'll send the Scuzzy Aussie Duo back where they came from, with 24hr free delivery... If Dice Elderberry doesn't take out Rusty first C-
  • Isabella Encarta believes her client Kevin Lomas has the technical knowhow to win the Canadian Title. Jack DeColt stops by to tell his opponent he's here to fight. Hope you've had your Weetabix, Kevin. B-
  • GNAW BEATS SKIP BEAU via The Feast (8:13). Skip's tactics are more underhanded than Ian's were last week, but Gnaw is pure animalistic fury. C Gnaw won't stop attacking so Ian Identity comes to Skip's rescue and 'Tiger King' Joey Poison drags Gnaw away on a lead. D
  • DICE ELDERBERRY VS RUSTY MILLS via RPM Bomb (8:41). Mills can fight dirty with the best of them, but Dice works over the ribs. That could hurt the Bogan's chances next week. C-
  • Despite last week's anger, Zeus Maxmillion feels conflicted over Bobby Thomas. Is he an honourable man? Did he make a mistake? Diablo DeVille is quick to fan the flames of hatred, reminding Zeus of Bobby's past misdeeds C+
  • Zeus Maxmillion is enraged as Bobby Thomas chooses Dan DaLay as his tag team partner, but is it due to lack of honour, or survival? Bobby fights fair and mostly wants to get his hands on Diablo, but Zeus protects his trusted friend. BOBBY THOMAS & DAN DALAY BEAT ZEUS & DIABLO via Super Kick & BACKFIST combo on Zeus (11:00) C Dan DaLay BACKFISTS Bobby Thomas for good measure while Diablo enjoys the carnage B-
  • Blockbuster joins his new agent Adrian on commentary to watch JACK DECOLT BEAT KEVIN LOMAS via End of Days (15:23) in a drawn out technical affair. Exceptional. B
  • After the match, Jack DeColt again challenges Blockbuster to a match, but Adrian Garcia steps up to talk for his client, and announces he's signed a different match. Next week Blockbuster takes on... Greaser. Jack isn't happy. B+

FINAL RATING: B- (1.22 rating on Maple Leaf Sports)

In hindsight, I probably could have trusted Zeus/Diablo vs Bobby/DaLay as the main event. It was the most important match, story-wise, but it's definitely an odd face/heel combination. However, you can't go wrong with Jack DeColt. From a prediction standpoint, every match is kinda bleh, but the in-universe fans LOVE seeing him do his thing. He absolutely should be headlining shows. And Lomas did a great job. He's a very solid technician, much better (and nicer) than his partner.

Crusher and Vars have great chemistry, so that's something I may try to work in going forward.

Interested that Gnaw was the one who drank the potion, intriguing choice and well, probably the best one you had, even more than Ian.

I never considered Ian to drink the potion. Firstly because the whole feud came out of nowhere (I had a spot open on a card and thought Identity vs Joey would be a fun one-shot) and secondly because he is a DeColt style babyface, booked to face temptation and not give in. It's easy to be a babyface when you're winning, but to keep fighting the good fight when you're getting you ass kicked, and circumstance lets you down? That's a real hero. I tease a lot of heel turns in my diaries, and I make a point not to follow through every time. That's life.

Anyone winning would have annoyed Blockbuster, but Ian winning would have annoyed half of the roster and caused walkouts. Identity is the ideal choice for a big push in CGC, but he REALLY hasn't gotten over in this game. He's gone from an E to an E+ in popularity, and most of that is because we went up in size and now you can get E+ just by showing up on TV. I've began multiple pushes with him and he's underdelivered repeatedly. Zero chemistry with Mario DaSilva (originally wanted to give them the tag titles at WrestleFestival). The worst matches in the Ultimate Showdown Series. Even when given big wins his popularity never went up. And I STILL don't know his character. Compared to Christian Price in my first CGC diary, who was similarly custom built for stardom but I found his voice immediately AND he got over in-game and out. Ian falls flat.

I already gave Bobby Thomas the Ultimate Showdown Series, so didn't want to give him another one. He's 43. He's not the future.

There's a reason I hold you as top writer on the boards and really, really hope you decide to start a new project when 2020 comes out.

Not straight away. I want to really dive into playing it for a while, and try out all of the new features.

I assume we'll be having a good few shows over this week leading to Apocalypse where we'll have a full write up of a show, that'd be cool.

I don't think Apocalypse will get the full treatment, as I really don't like writing PPVs. They take a lot of work for me. Everything needs to be epic and worth spending money on, and I don't think I can pull that off in 5 days. Any project I do going forward is going to reduce PPV/megashows to their bare minimum, and longer television builds.

It's an 8 week build to CGC Apocalypse (there's something the short summaries don't mention smoothly). Two down. Six to go.

Next week (tomorrow) on CGC Title Bout Wrestling...

CGC Tag Team Title Match: Woolabonga Bogans vs Express Delivery

Joey Poison & Gnaw vs Skip Beau & Ian Identity

Blockbuster vs Greaser

Robin DaLay vs Bobby Thomas

Who's turning heel? Zeus Maxmillion or Bobby Thomas? Neither? Both? Where do your allegiances lay? Who are you cheering for? This is something I never fully got a handle on how it was getting over. I heard predictions, but not hopes.

<p>CGC Tag Team Title Match: <strong>Woolabonga Bogans</strong> vs Express Delivery</p><p>

<em>Eh, why not? I break my usual going with the champ routine here and say that Bogans will actually get the belt here. <em>I could see either one turning but actually going to go with neither as Zeus have Stevie to pull him back and Thomas haven´t so far shown any real signs of turning since he´s beef is with Diablo who is a heel. I´m cheering for Bobby even though I doubt he would win the main belt mainly because of as you said, he´s not the future because of his age and frankly you already pushed him more than I had any right to expect so pretty happy with how things turned out for Bobby regardless of the outcome of this storyline.</em></p>

In general want to say you are doing tremendous work with this diary. Concerning heel turns I actually hope neither turn heel, that would be pretty unique for once. If someone turns heel it could be Steve Greyson feeling betrayed by Zeus for believing Bobby's innocence in the end.</p>

In terms of experience, chemistry and in-ring talent, the Woolabonga Bogans are the best tag team in the company, and even though I never quite found their voices, they have delivered every time I've needed them. They aren't future mega stars. They aren't incredible talents. But they've been brilliant in their roles and have steadily built popularity where others (Ian) have not. At 31 they're in the same age bracket as my Power House projects, and could fight among them for years to come. </p><p> </p><p>

Rusty Mills had been sitting on the shelf for 2 years when I brought him in. Physically I picture him as an Australian Colt Cabana, without the polish. He would be the charismatic mouthpiece of the team were he not in CGC, where half of the roster are charisma machines. He's not particularly athletic and fairly inconsistent, but he's working on that. There's a Comedy/Weasel element to his character that could be explored down the line. Donovan Boon was working Australian indies when I picked him up, and came in as a Top 5 striker in the company. He's been rapidly improving his performance skills to the point where I'd consider him a Top 5 All Around Worker, and the future replacement for Bobby Thomas. In strengths and weaknesses. He works with a lot of the weaker workers on pre-shows to help them along. Robin DaLay owes him a lot. In my head he's Shane Thorne. Long legs.</p><p> </p><p>

I brought Frozen North in specifically to get the Bogans out of their jobber-rut, and a title change felt like the best way to get this new feud going. I'd been wanting to do Express Delivery vs Bogans for a long time, but it never quite worked out before. </p><p> </p><p>

Crusher Haverford has gone from Ripped to Toned... which is very disappointing. I guess LaGrenier is back to having the best physique in the company. </p><p> </p><p>

Ok so over the last few days I've taken my time and caught up (last I read was a couple shows before DeColt vs Bruce 1). Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed it and let you know what stood out in case it interests you!

I always enjoyed Drake Young, 'Don't make me go through your Twitter' is a great catchphrase. A shame really that he seemed to get less time as it went on but I suppose his character is perfect for those smaller parts.

Dan DaLay promos I always love, especially the one about lasting forever so even when the sun dies he'll be still around to wet willie the stars. And the promo with him and Bobby Thomas where Bobby said history will remember him as a bully his response that history won't remember him at all actually made me feel bad for poor Bobby.

Speaking of Bobby I had him down to win the series and Running Wolf to lose so I was happy to predict that perfect. Although I thought Bobby was going to use one of his wishes to somehow gift the tomahawk to RW so he could leave and restore his tribe. Obviously they weren't connected but it would fit BT's general good guy character and give Wolf's short story a nice end. Although I much preferred your version being a huge DaLay fan and all.

There were lots of little things I loved, like Zeus walking into the arena and being too focused to even acknowledge the backstage workers, nice little short promo but then was given a whole new meaning when it was revealed he was deaf is one example. It's impressive the amount of little things you use, I'm not sure if it's intentionally planting a future plot point or using existing things you've mentioned... one example if the set of the pirate talk show thingy being on hydraulics, it's mentioned in passing each week, then in the end it becomes relevant when the Gearheads use it to attack.

Ali/Faith dynamic was great, although the way you went with it was the most natural and satisfying outcome it did keep me on my toes. Part of me expected Faith to sort of go all in, really lash out at Jenny and become a mega-bitch, perhaps even earn Ali's respect and lead them to being a genuine power couple. But like I say that wasn't really the natural progression and the way it went did wonders at making Ali detestable.

I enjoyed Jack Bruce as a whole, it was a little strange to see Bruce vs Decolt 2 not main event a show, but I understand your point of not knowing exactly where to go with it, or at least not having the time to properly tell the story. I enjoyed his whole 'Cena with the United States title style run'.

The rise of Express Delivery was great, it felt natural how they went from jokey weird gimmick to pretty genuinely scary with the whole 'mega corporation doesn't care about you we can replace you easily' shtick. I think that's your strength is giving them all fun and interesting characters who can sit in the background, but then when their called upon they can quickly appear to be a real threat.

Obviously you're carrying on for a while with the shorter write ups so no worries if these would be spoilers but one question I'm interested in...

I enjoyed Jenny Playmate's mission to manage a world champion, as it is pretty crazy if she's never achieved that with her long tenure in CGC, in your mind were you planning on giving her that soon? Or at least was it in the back of your mind for a future plan?

Hugh DeArrrske vs Bobby Thomas

The Eternal Everyman overcomes the Pernicious Pirate en route to the title!

Winner Picks the Apocalypse Stipulation: Philippe LaGrenier vs Donovan Boon

While I'd like to see the stip that the scuzzy aussie duo select, I think they'll look better being the first team to overcome ED in their signature match.

Faith Invitational Tournament: Frozen North vs Stevie & Diablo

No way can these two coexist.

Faith Invitational Tournament: Poison & Gnaw vs Delivery Drones

So, Joey's going for the bleached blonde mullet soon, right?

Hugh DeArrrske vs Bobby Thomas

Bobby is higher on the pecking order

Winner Picks the Apocalypse Stipulation: Philippe LaGrenier vs Donovan Boon

Heels cheat to get advantage in the title match

Faith Invitational Tournament: Frozen North vs Stevie & Diablo

I don´t see Stevie and Diablo being able to work together well enough to beat an actual tag team.

Faith Invitational Tournament: Poison & Gnaw vs Delivery Drones

They don´t even need potions to win here.

Sunday Week 3 October 2019

Lethbridge, Alberta (3,300)

  • Hugh DeArrrske presents a brand new episode of his talk show; The Cap'n's Quarters, with Special Guest; Faith. She talk about the tournament for her services (two new matches tonight) and DeArrrske tries to impress her with silks and spices from the orient, before vowing to beat Bobby Thomas in the main event using new tricks he learned on his voyage. C-
  • STEVIE & DIABLO BEAT FROZEN NORTH (11:59) to advance in the Faith Invitational Tournament. Diablo isn't thrilled to be in the tournament, but Stevie leads him to dodge, duck, dip, dive and and dodge to a shock victory D+
  • Bobby Thomas is ready for Zeus Maxmillion at Apocalypse. Working hard at the gym, studying tapes, he has a game plan and will bring his all. Zeus claims to be a God but he's just another monster, and monsters can always be beaten. Some way. Somehow. C-
  • It's kickboxing versus magnificent muscles as DONOVAN BOON BEATS PHILIPPE LaGRENIER via Boomerang Kick (11:10) in order to choose the stipulation for the tag team title match at Apocalypse. The Delivery Drones try to interfere, but Dice Elderberry, having used his knowledge of the Express Delivery postal system to escape his package, clears them out. (Great Chemistry) C
  • The Woolabonga Bogans choose the stipulation for Apocalypse. They want a Going Postal match. They want to beat Express Delivery at their own game. C-
  • Blockbuster names his price. If Jack DeColt wants to fight him at Apocalypse, he'll have to follow these terms.
    1) Jack will have to earn it by beating a fighter of Garcia's choice in a Cage Match
    2) Blockbuster won't fight for a lesser title. Jack will have to forfeit the Canadian Title.
    3) Last time Blockbuster won it was against an old man. He wants the pictures to show him beating classic Jack DeColt. Bleach the hair. Shave the mustache. B+
  • JOEY POISON & GNAW VS DELIVERY DRONES #4 & #5 via The Feast (5:54) to advance in the Faith Invitational Tournament. The Drones have been ordered to secure Faith's services by their corporate overlords, but they're no match for Gnaw's potion-fueled frenzy. Poor guys. D
  • Ian Identity & Skip Beau trace Gnaw's origins to the docks in Puerto Rico, and they are thrilled when someone remembers a scared masked wrestler huddled in a cargo ship headed for Las Vegas. Unfortunately, the Gnaw mask is a mass produced item in Puerto Rico, and after a 'misunderstanding' and a fight with some dock workers, they realise they're going to have to unmasked the ferocious feline if they're to figure out how to beat him. C
  • BOBBY THOMAS BEATS HUGH DeARRRSKE via Figure Four Leglock (16:04). The Pirate really steps up his game with Japanese fighting techniques, but Bobby is all business in methodically attacking the knee. If he fights like that at Apocalypse, we might have a new World Champion. (Great chemistry!) C

FINAL RATING C+ (1.18 on Maple Leaf Sports)

Pretty average show with another disappointingly uninteresting main event. This one would have benefited from the full write up. I loved Hugh DeArrrske's talk show, and felt it would have built him into a force to be reckoned with had he not gone to Japan when he did.

Strong chemistry notes. If pushed correctly, I can only imagine how awesome LaGrenier vs Boon would be this time next year.

Those Ian/Skip scenes could have been fun to write too. Or so frustrating they'd end up on the cutting room floor. Detective Ian Identity and his trying-to-be-helpful partner Skip.

So, Joey's going for the bleached blonde mullet soon, right?

I didn't choose Gnaw only to make this reference, but it was definitely a point in his favour that Joey Poison could call himself the Tiger King for a while.

Sunday Week 4 October 2019

Vancouver, British Columbia (3,998)

  • It's CGC's Halloween Spooktacular and Stevie helps Zeus make his costume for the traditional Monster Mash Main Event. As Champion, Zeus feels he owes the fans the perfect costume. He will be a Champion CGC can be proud of, and will defend it against monsters, be they pretend, real, or Bobby Thomas. C
  • GHOST PIRATE DeARGHSKE BEATS SPOOKY STEVIE GRAVE-SON in an Apple Bobbing on a Pole Match (7:37) when Hustle King distracts Stevie and Hugh gets the non-rotten apple. Diablo feeds off of his partner's suffering. The two teams face off in the next round of the Faith invitational Tournament. D+
  • Dirty Dice Elderberry explains how he escaped from the package sorting facility. He farted until people thought an animal had died in one of the boxes. He's going to show his former bosses the true meaning of terror tonight. D
  • PHILIPPE LaNECROMANCIER BEATS DICE ELDERSCARY in a Graveyard Smash Match by 3 gravestones to 2 (7:32) thanks to his mighty muscles. C- After the match Philippe summons corporate zombies (guess) from under the ring to take Dice back to the haunted mailroom, but Greaser makes the unexpected save. C-
  • GNAW DESTROYS PUMPKIN PERDITION (4:57) Penfold wants to pet the kitty, but the kitty bites, and carves him up with The Feast. D
  • Skip Beau and Ian Identity ask for Faith's help unraveling the clues they've discovered about Gnaw. She refuses. If they want her services they'll need to win her tournament. C
  • SKIP BOO & IAN INSANITY BEATS SAYEED ALI & K-SQUARED in the final First Round match of the Faith Invitational Tournament. (9:41) Sayeed wants Faith back, and he's done playing nice. Unfortunately for him, Ian is extra motivated and Skip's happy to cheat on behalf of his new best friend. C-
  • Jack DeColt agrees to the terms Blockbuster has laid out. He gives up the Canadian Title. He agrees to fight in a cage next week. He agrees to bleach his hair. And although he argues vehemently... he eventually agrees to shave off his mustache. A
  • UNCONVINCING MUMMY BEATS RED DEVIL, SPOOKY GHOST AND TWO DIFFERENT DRACULAS in the 2019 Monster Mash Match (15:23). The Mummy (obviously Zeus) teams up with the Devil (clearly Diablo) to unmask the Ghost (Greaser) and two Draculas (Rusty Mills & Hugh Ancrie, who fight backstage over who wore it better) but the Devil suddenly SUPER KICK's the Mummy's leg out of his leg! That's not Diablo. The Devil is all-business as he methodically dismantles the limb, making him remove his own mask to a Figure 4. Bobby Thomas get the drop on the champion, and it was all legal. Technically. B-
  • Injured and furious, Zeus does the unthinkable as he agrees to unleash Diablo DeVille upon Bobby Thomas next week. B+

FINAL RATING: B- (1.23 on Maple Leaf Sports)

This one really hurts my feelings not to get the full write up. I love the CGC Halloween shows. They are very, very goofy, and I was thrilled to realise it was coming up right when I needed some juice for Bobby/Zeus. I didn't want to book yet another tag match, but who needs tags when you have spooky monster masks that hide identities?

Next week, it's the Go Home Show for CGC Apocalypse. Tune in to Title Bout Wrestling for...

okay that's hilarious.

Bikers reunion! Neat!

Diablo/Stevie is a fun odd couple pairing and I'm vibing Skip and Ian too.

Bobby's slow descent towards the dark side is very interesting... but will it turn out to be Zeus who is the dark one! Gasp!

Unconvincing Mummy. XD

but the Devil suddenly SUPER KICK's the Mummy's leg out of his leg!

I want to see Jack v Buster again

Diablo DeVille vs Bobby Thomas

He has to if he's going for the title

Express Delivery vs Greaser & Dice Elderberry

They can't beat THE tag team in CGC, Bogans were and still are, the only team viable to beat them

Stevie Grayson vs Hustle King
