TEW2020 Attribute Suggestion Thread

Recommended Posts

Some Misc. Personality Attribute Suggestions (to add more flavor to the existing personality attributes and effects they have.)

Jealous: This worker gets jealous of those who are more over or who have more momentum, and will be more likely to strike up negative interactions or relationships with them.

Social Butterfly: This worker loves to interact, and is far more likely to create and maintain positive relationships within a company.

Hates Interaction: Preferring to be left alone, this worker tends to dislike those who try to interact with them behind the scenes.

Notice Me: This worker will complain about booking or losing momentum far faster than others do, and it will affect their morale much more.

Dwells On Things: This worker dwells on things much more than the average human. Positive and negative morale effects last much longer than usual.

Random for booking lol:

Experimentalist: Regarded for a head filled with ideas and trying to change direction a lot, this worker's momentum is impacted much less by the success of turns or gimmick changes.

Early Retirement -Worker starts to retire as soon as they start declining skills. This can help balance a lot of workers just wrestling til they physically can’t anymore. Maybe if they cross a certain threshold triggers it?

Sudden Retirement-Worker declares for (whatever reason) he is going to retire from the industry. Maybe a narrative? I think of Monty Brown retiring from WWE to take care of family as an example.

End of the Road- Wrestler is going to retire by age (40?). Cody Rhodes has talked about retiring at 40 no matter what. An attribute makes it different cause it could be known without editor.

Master of Deathmatch- When working a car crash/mayhem style match this worker received a bonus. I think it’s a way to show worker is creative in these situations without putting body through hell. Barbed wire socko for example.

Visionary- this worker receives a bonus in cinematic style matches. Matt Hardy as an example.

Match Specialist-kinda like above attribute but for specific Match types. Ladder Match, Cage match, etc etc. WWE GM Mode had this back in day.

Mean Gene-Workers in an angle with this performer received a bonus. This could help simulate Mean Gene helping people through promos.

Cult of Personality- worker has increased friendship changes.

Advocate and The Brain-This performer receives a bonus or person they are managing receives bonus due to the special managerial skills. It’s kinda like tag specialist but for managers.

By the Book-worker receives bonus when scripting out matches. DDP/Randy Savage are great examples.

On the Fly- Worker receives bonus when calling matches in the ring.

Polyamorous-worker is in multiples relationships at same time. Could spark backstage incidents.

Ménage à trois- worker receives bonus when working in six man tags. Alternative to 6 man chemistry. I think of Roman Reigns, Matt Jackson or Nick Jackson as people who can get this.

Botched Turn-an attribute attached to a worker who turned face/heel. This will hurt their performance for 3-12 months. I know tanks momentum but this could double down on that.

Showstopper-when involved in a title match or main eventing this worker has a performance bonus. HBK as obvious example.

Choke artists-worker receives penalty when main eventing or in title match. Not all great workers can be consistent main eventers.

Uncooperative - A temporary attribute, associated with low morale and unfriendly personality types. For the next 1-3 months, this worker will flatly reject any match result in which he is booked to lose (if he has creative control) or sandbag his opponent (if he doesn't).

Under Pressure - A temporary attribute, associated with certain personality types receiving title wins. For the next 1-6 months, this worker takes on increased fatigue and deeper than usual morale pe alties as they struggle with the responsibility of being champion.

Big Man, Big Problems - This worker's sheer size makes it difficult for him to stay in ring shape. Paid vacations and time spent unemployed will reset the clock, but if this worker spends too long on the road he will quickly get out of shape.

Royale With Cheese - This worker improves at an accelerated rate when he's working matches outside his country of origin.

Question about/suggestion for attributes that already exist.

We have "Giving Performer" and "Selfish Performer" (or something like that) already. Do these expand to use in angles as well as matches or are they just for matches?

If they are just for matches, could they be expanded to include people's work in angles or could there be added attributes who would be a worker who really helps out others (feeding lines/cues) in angles or a worker who will constantly try to keep themselves as the center of the angle even when they're not supposed to be?

Rather than adding that onto the existing attributes, I think it's a fine idea for a pair of brand new attributes. A guy might be generous toward his opponent in the match but still hog all the attention during promos.

Safety Hazard: This worker will struggle to improve their Basics, Consistency and/or Safety stats.

Hometown Hero: This worker will only accept exclusive deals in their home country.

Foreign Fanatic: This worker is more likely to accept exclusive deals in foreign countries.

Didn't Even Notice: This worker can recover from struggling to improvise in a promo and will either not be penalized or be penalized very little.

Embarrassment: If this worker appears on a non-wrestling talk show or radio show, then they will have an increased chance of having a poor appearance, and the poor performance has a chance to penalize the worker's popularity.

Shining Light: If this worker appears on a non-wrestling talk show or radio show, then they will have an increased chance of having an excellent performance, and the excellent performance has a chance to increase the worker's popularity.

Business Professional: Despite being in a negative relationship with another worker, this worker will put their differences aside and give the opponent they have a negative relationship with the best match possible.

Sorry for the double post, but this came to mind after suggesting the Business Professional attribute.

Cool Hand Luke: This worker will not raise a fuss if you start to negotiate with a worker they have a negative relationship with, and their morale will not take a hit if a worker they have a negative relationship with is hired.

And a couple of more to boot:

Ultimate Backfire: If this worker tries to stir up negative relationships against a worker they have a negative relationship with, the attempt will backfire and this worker will instead develop more negative relationships for themselves.

I Tell Stories: A worker who would normally raise a fuss about losing to someone with less popularity than them will never do so if the match is part of a storyline.

While watching some "star making" performances from over the years, was wondering if something like a "Star Maker" attribute could be added?

I was thinking along the lines of guys like Moxley, Bryan, and Kurt Angle winning matches, but their opponent is made to look like a million bucks without dragging the match down.

Star Maker would be reserved for the very top of the card.

Wheeler Yuta was "made" by Jon Moxley recently for example.

There may already be some sort of thing resembling this and if so, feel free to ignore.

Get off my lawn: this veteran worker believes the younger generation is disrespectful of the business and doesn't know how to conduct themselves properly in and out of the ring. They're more likely to form negative relationships/get involved in negative backstage incidents/refuse to put over/make their opponent look bad or hurt them while wrestling workers under the age of 30 (or 25 maybe?)

Just retire already: this younger worker views the older generation as a bunch of washed up bullies and spotlight hogs. They're more likely to form negative relationships/get involved in negative backstage incidents/refuse to put over/make their opponent look bad or hurt them while wrestling workers over the age of 40 (or 45 maybe?)

Would it be possible to add a cosmetic/plastic surgery suggestion to workers? Essentially similar to how we can suggest a worker use steroids, I think suggesting a worker get some sort of cosmetic surgery would be both realistic and a good feature gameplay wise.

I'd say it should be far less agreeable to a worker than steroids, although perhaps more agreeable to female workers as it would be similar to WWE 'suggesting' the women get boob jobs etc.

I love the idea of being a sleazy promoter with my backstage 'doctor' also being able to suggest a woman breaking into the business get a boob job and nose job etc. to increase her sex appeal. Although The Rock also had cosmetic surgery for his chest I believe.

The relevant attributes would probably be sex appeal/looks. Although perhaps star power could be related too? It would depend on the surgery, I imagine.

Also, I realise this post makes me sound like a sociopath.

I think you're misunderstanding the thread's intent. This thread is for attributes such as "Better as Heel" or "Amazing Babyface", not for stats like sex appeal.

In TEW2020, attributes and stats are not the same thing. Attributes are a new addition to the franchise.

Silver-Tongued: if involved in a scandal, the worker has a chance of minimizing the damage to their reputation through a carefully worded public statement.

Foot in Mouth: if involved in a scandal, the worker is likely to cause even worse damage to their reputation with their public reaction to the scandal.

I apologise, I did indeed misunderstand. Can you point me to where I should have posted my suggestion? Thank you.

Real Life Babyface: This worker's good deeds outside of the ring are well-known, and make them hard to hate. For the time being, they can't work as a heel. NB: It doesn't mean they'll automatically be great at portraying a babyface character. [This attribute is automatically temporary and lasts between three months and two years.]

Real Life Heel: While they haven't done anything so bad it would actually qualify as a scandal, this worker's recent public actions/behavior have made them unlikable in the eyes of fans. Audiences will strongly reject them if they try to portray a babyface character. NB: It doesn't mean they'll automatically be great at portraying a heel character. [This attribute is automatically temporary and lasts between three months and two years.]

A while back, someone posted No Yob as an attribute for an extreme version of "That Doesn't Work for Me, Brother". I was thinking the guy who will always agree to putting someone over/losing a match regardless of anything else. Kind of an extreme version of Easy to Do Business With.

Maybe No Ego or something like that.

I feel like we need a creative attribute for in ring work and promos separate from each other

Innovator of Offense- Worker has a higher chance of coming up with a new spot

New T-Shirt Right There- Worker has a higher chance of coming up with a new catchphrase

Banned in [country]: This worker is officially persona non grata in the named country, so it's 100% impossible to have them appear on a show there as it does not depend on being able to convince them. [This attribute is automatically temporary and lasts between six months and twenty years.]
