SWF: Supreme Wrestling Federation

Recommended Posts

In line with the post above I feel like I've figured out booking with SWF. My first show main evented with a 90 rated match between Rocky & Hernandez and I was so prepared for a great show rating. However I got a 77 because of strict storylines which is annoying, since it seems pretty difficult to meet the storyline expectation with the base game storylines (even with the one I added which debuted at a 71).

edit: on an unrelated note (i didn't want to do back to back posts) my house show monitor of my planned TSC40 match between Valiant and Scythe has revealed they have awful chemistry as opponents. Sweet.

I haven't got an SWF save yet but did i read that the match focus is Three Ring Circus?

If true that seems to not be optimal; wouldn't it be better to change that to push the focus onto the main event?

Yeah I did that and the rating of the same event jumped by 3. I like 3RC, just not for SWF.

The fan perception can change quickly. I booked one show that included Scythe in a squash match rated in the 60s and in an angle with Golden and Valiant to end the show rated in the 60s (I think 7 minutes was too long). His perception dropped from “Major Star” all the way down to “Well Known”. In one day.

Is that using the latest patch? It sounds like it’s potentially related to the momentum issue that’s now been fixed.

This is an excellent point - I've been trying to stick to products as they are, but you're 100% correct that changing it to a main event focus is going to boost the ratings you're getting.

But, to play the Devil's Advocate, is that really how mainstream wrestling works? Yes, your main event (or top guys) are entirely important and really do drive the show. That said, there are also matches not in the main event that adds to the overall quality of the show.

I think back when Monday Night Raw was a 2 hour show, instead of 15 hours or whatever it is now, the match happening in the middle around 10:00 PM seemed just as important as the Main Event most of the time. 3 Ring Circus makes sense for Sports Entertainment.

Oh wow, just got to my second PPV and Golden offered to put over Scythe to get him to the next level! its good for 2 matches in the next 2 months! I had Golden go over at the first PPV and had no plans to take the belt off him but now i am thinking i should take up the offer. I do want Scythe to be more over as a lot of the guys under Remo and Golden are just too far away in pop to be credible threats. I did have a plan for once the full game came out to do Smasher Vs Golden for the title, but i could do it without? With Smasher still playing his fallen hero character, I could have him mess with Golden, claim the fans see him as a villain, join the darkside etc? Could be like Cena Vs Kane but actually booked well.

But what would i do with Scythe? Valiant Vs Scythe or Gilmore Vs Scythe and keep the belt on Scythe until Supreme Challenge? Golden Vs Scythe 3?

What do you guys think?

Oh, I don’t think it is - I like that it’s a three ring circus. I just meant in terms of getting best possible ratings it’s a good move. :)

Scythe beat Rocky clean at Nothing to Lose and was confronted by Vengeance. Eventually I plan to bring Son of Vengeance up from RIPW to join the storyline, which should push him to at least well known. </p><p> </p><p> As for Rocky, I’ve been looking at USPW’s contracts and both Steve Frehley and Nicky Champion will be available for negotiations fairly soon (Frehley in 24 days, Champion in a month and two weeks. SWF Chaos</p><p>

I can see the Chaos possibly being like a 24/7 belt or a deathmatch one? But I have no idea what the sky club belts are, or for?</p>

I just noticed that the description for the North American Championship says that it's thought of as a "proving ground for potential World Champions and a significant number of recent holders have gone on to win the main strap".

The most recent NA Champion to be win the big one is Angry Gilmore who was last the North American champion in 2013. So in those 7 years not one North American Champion has managed to make the leap yet. Of all the champions since Gilmore, who is most likely for you to make World Champion?

I've never gotten that far, but I had always planned on making Extreme TV a crusierweight brand, and the Chaos title would be they're midcard belt.

Both of these somewhat make sense. I would lean more to the all-action comparison possibly.

Just had a thought, Sky-Club could be their junior/cruiserweight division, which may explain why it has a tag version.

Hmm; I'm thinking of a 5 brand split.

A Brands-Supreme & Elite

B Brands-Uprising, Vixxens & Junior

SWF Chaos

SWF Sky Club

SWF Sky Club Tag

I see the Chaos could be a sort of WWF 24/7, floating title.

A different take on the Sky Club and Sky Club Tag could develop into the current NJPW G1 Climax IWGP Heavyweight title shot at Wrestle Kingdom. Win and you get a World Championship / World Tag Team Championship opportunity at The Supreme Challenge. The Sky Club is your ticket to the top but is not guaranteed and you have to defend the right of title shot.

The SWF Shooting Star title is based around High Flying, like the TCW All Action. I checked both titles histories: first comes the Shooting Star (August 2005) and then the All Action (October 2005). I see them more of the WCW Cruiserweight title.

Could absolutely see the Chaos title being used like the 24/7 title, maybe even defended exclusively in some variation of Cinematic matches.

I'd always pictured Supreme as the "core" brand with the heavyweights, Extreme the "205 Live" equivalent, Uprising the Women's only show, and finally Elite would be the show where all brands are represented.

Wow so many ideas here now. Not sure what direction to go in. Historically, i've always just had supreme and elite as brands. But I absolutely love the sky club being like the G1.

Also, I believe the TCW Cruiserweight pre-dated the SWF Shooting Star title also? Jun 2001? So was it the SWF who copied TCW???

Yes!

TCW Cruiserweight (November 2000 - July 2005)

TCW Cruiserweight Tag Team (November 2000 - December 2004)

<p>Also correct me if im wrong,</p><p> </p><p>

but there are only 2 remaining active members on the roster who can become full grand slam champions.</p><p> </p><p>

(Shooting Star, North American, Tag Team, World)</p><p> </p><p>

Brett Biggz and ZWB. Both just need to win the North American and World. As the Shooting Star is retired as canon nobody else can win it.</p><p> </p><p>

Well looks like ZWB is going to be pushed heavily by me!</p>

In most of my games, I have about nine storylines and feature about 8-10 angles per 2 hour show.</p><p> </p><p> In order to get to five "hot" storylines, I usually run 2-3 angles for two of the new stories (Something like Angry Gilmore/Crippler or ZWB/Starr).
