What's Going on in Your Game?

Recommended Posts

Thats the idea that has the most traction right now to me. I just don't want him heading to CMLL or NJPW since WCW had to be coerced by me playing them in order to sign Bret.

Royal Rumble 98

A little slower push to Mania than my 97 Rumble, but hoping this one gets a better rating after a year especially with Austin 100 All over the U.S.

That is always an issue with the AI. Try redoing WCW owner and headbooker with higher ratings and largest roster notes. Might help.

This isn't something that happened to me specifically, but in a ZEN game I'm running, I just found what has to be the unluckiest regen I've ever seen.

On Monday, 21CW hired a new graduate named Raul Paris. Then, on Thursday of that very same week, he suffered a major concussion, and now he's going to be out for a year. It kind of makes me want to hire him once he heals because I feel bad for him.

My September 1990 mod game has reached April 1992. Gordon Gecko's money has come in handy.

Notable happenings:

-Ole Anderson remained as booker in WCW, and the company has thrived.

-The WWF has also been thriving. Ric Flair, Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, Hulk Hogan, etc. have shown they can get matches rated in the high 90s. Dusty never left and has done well in the mid-card mix. WWF will be tough to catch anytime soon.

-Curt Hennig (Mr. Perfect) somehow got a WWF contract that allowed him to work as a true independent contractor. But then PNW loaned Hennig to WCW a couple of times, and both times they had Hennig lose to enhancement talent. And that included when Hennig was WWF Champion.

-First chance I got to book it after Hennig won that WWF title, I had my champ (Ricky Steamboat at the time) beat Hennig.

-It has been great fun running TWF, rebranded from Texas to Titanium in the company name. Steve Austin is my face champ with Gary Hart as his manager. Hart was a face when I started the game, so I've stuck with it.

-Scott Armstrong snitched off about performance-enhancing drugs in TWF and he became strongly disliked as a result. Even his brother Brad in the game wasn't happy about it. The probation of sorts from that fallout will finally wear off in three or so months.

-Eric Bischoff died in a car wreck in 1991 in the game, only notable early death to-date there.

-It took a $1.5M signing bonus, but I signed Shawn Michaels to a three-year exclusive contract. Suddenly the cost of business went up for everyone. And thus far, Michaels has been well worth the price tag.

-Bobby Eaton and Owen Hart, with Bill Dundee as their manager, just dropped the tag belts to the Freebirds after a 14-month run.

-It has been very entertaining booking USWA wrestlers and intentionally trying to provoke bad blood among them. Though I have to be careful to avoid allowing that to affect my locker room.

The game remains great fun, highly recommended.

Just picked up my '97 save again after a several month hiatus and booked WrestleMania 13. Pretty happy with how this one turned out...

Wish I got those ratings for the big two matches for my Mania 13 lol. Great show.

I usually only post the Big 4/King of the ring, but Owen and Haitch decide to just have a classic in a throwaway feud for the European title. thanks for overshadowing my main event, guys.

Here’s my latest card from my created company, the World Wrestling Alliance. It’s that time again, it’s time for the biggest show of the year for the WWA!

WWA Wrestle Fest II

Week 4, April 2021

Attendance: 52,674

Show Rating: 86

Kurata Empire member Damian Dastardly defeated Masked Cougar in a much anticipated rematch, this rivalry now tied at 1-1. The assist to KE’s manager Krissy Angelle, who managed to sneak brass knuckles to Dastardly. (84)

The Blueprint (Eddie Howard & Sterling Whitlock) defeated The Party Police (Fro Sure & Brock Star). The Party Police managed to get their desired rematch after weeks of feuding, but would once again fall to Eric Tyler’s prized tag team. (66)

The Enterprise’s Davis Wayne Newton defeated Masao Tsubouchi. Stooping to the usual Enterprise ways, Newton reversed Tsubouchi into a roll up, then uses the tights to steal the 1,2,3. (79)

In a Mask vs Hair Match, Mr. Lucha defeated Les Messieurs leader Frederique. With Frederique’s pals Ozzie Golden & Raphael banned from ringside by General Manager Ricky Dale Johnson, there was no one to stop Lucha from strapping Frederique to the barber’s chair and shaving his hated rival bald! (76)

In Six Man Tag Team Action, The Kurata Empire (Tsuneyo Yanagimoto, Aztec Prince, & Blue Phantom) defeated Akima Brave, Ernest Youngman, & Thom Barrowman. Thanks to interference from yet another KE member Bryan Vessey, Yanagimoto was able to pin Barrowman to capture victory. (78)

The WWA Intercontinental Championship Match!

In a much anticipated rematch, Champion Nelson Callum defeated Challenger Tanyu Toshusai to retain his championship. The two men had an agreement. Toshusai agreed that he would never again challenge Callum for the IC Title if he lost…IF…if Callum agreed that no other Enterprise members would interfere! The stakes set, Callum barely managed to survive the best that Toshusai had to offer, extending his IC Title reign past 6 months. The IC remains in the camp of The Enterprise! (84)

The WWA World Tag Team Championship Match!

In a Ladder Match, Challengers The Wild Cats (El Jaguar & Tigre Salvaje Jr.) defeated Champions Superb (Ozzie Golden & Raphael) to ONCE AGAIN become WWA Tag Team Champions! A six month feud brought to a close, it was winner take all at Wrestle Fest. After losing the titles back to Superb in January, Tigre Salvaje climbed the ladder and retrieved the titles, making the Wild Cats 2-Time Champions! (77)

The WWA World Heavyweight Championship Match!

In the most anticipated match in WWA history, Champion Razan Okamoto defeated Challenger Masa Kurata to retain his championship! Leader of the dominant Kurata Empire, undefeated to date in WWA, Masa Kurata seemed destined to become the 3rd ever WWA World Champion. But there was one problem…Razan Okamoto! Okamoto kept getting up no matter what Kurata did, including when Masa targeted Razan’s ailing shoulder. In the end, it would be Okamoto hitting his patented Brainbuster Suplex to capture victory, thus handing Kurata his 1st loss in WWA. While this war seems far from over, for the time being, Okamoto continues his 7 month reign as the King of WWA! (88)

Mark Carnie just hired someone new to SNP, and they wound up quitting 3 days later after he didn't pay them for a show. With that on top of all the other people he's driven away so far, SNP's roster will probably be half-empty within a couple of years.

I'm in December 2016 (started in October 2016), and after turning WWE in a touring company (I still have to make some adjustments to my product because I want to push WWE towards a less sport-entertainment company), I managed to sign a lot of wrestlers, having now a total of 128 active wrestlers on my roster.

My biggest achievement has been convincing Edge and Christian out of retirement to set a 4-way tag team match between Edge&Christian, The Usos, The Hardy Boys and my champions Nakamura&Undertaker (who had excellent chemistry so I decided to give the Deadman one last run with a title).

My women's division is lacking a bit in star power, just because I'm trying to push people that in 2016 were very low in popularity because they were still in NXT. My current champion is Ronda Rouse but I want her to pass the belt to Dana Brooke who has appeared 5 times in 3 months on the news page, being pointed at as someone who has a bright future.

My World Champion is Bray Wyatt, with John Cena being his disciple in the Wyatt Family.

I managed to sign Hiroshi Tanahashi from NJPW and he's scheduled to dethrone Reigns for the Intercontinental Title.

I brought in a lot of people under 28 to try and build them up to have at least 10 years of future with new stars instead of relying on the old legends (Vince wouldn't be proud).

For now I'm struggling a bit to get at least an 80 rated show, either a touring one or an event, but I'm ok with it if it means that I can get better longtime. So now my goal is to reach at least an 80 for the Royal Rumble which is almost in 2 month's time, with the hopes of getting to WrestleMania with some young and new talent ready to take the big belts

I'm doing a save as a developmental company for 21CW and they're just trolling me.

The plan was to use only guys they sent down to me so I changed the NSOW to a PC to hopefully get non-wrestlers to develop instead of relying on outsiders. I also gave them a WWE Network style broadcaster to give me a fighting chance of gaining exposure to develop talent as I was only planning on running monthly shows until the roster got a bit bigger. I tried running this once before with the NSOW and a 2nd PC hoping for staff but after 18 months only Cain Carlile had been called up and I was flooded with graduates from the 2 schools and a few outside hires so I restarted and edited the NSOW.

So the game starts

I get the same hires as last time, Dangermouth, The Black Country Boys, Carlile, Sharif, Archer and Strife, with Lone Wolf, Gulliver and the rejen graduates sent down to me in March.

Same as last time, before my first show I get the warning Carlile will be called up, no biggy. By September all off my contracted talent had been called up so I ended up with outside workers filling the cards anyway. I was on my 5th champion and 4th lot of tag champions as the instant I put a belt on anyone they were called up. Most lost the title in their first defense.

Towards the end of the year I got 3 graduates from RoH/WWA sent down to me, a rehired Welsh Dragon and SNP defector Govan Monty. By this point I've had to break my golden rule and put the world title on outsiders (Jermaine Grainger being world champion and Bruiser/Ripper Le Stat holding the tag titles as they had excellent chemistry), so Monty starts a title feud, no plans on him winning as I expect a call up, but he does one angle ... and the warning comes. Similarly Welsh Dragon does a save angle to try and get the tag belts off outsiders ...... and here's the call up warning as well as one of the rookies who's only been a pro 6 weeks.

So year 2 begins I get my 2nd class in March and I've had a few weeks without call ups, 21CW are so flooded with enhancement talents that they've had to start a B show and even then hardly any of them are being used (Example being The Black Country Boys have worked 2 matches in the last year). By May I feel confident enough to get the title back on one of my developmental guys and have a regen by the name of Karl Mir take the title and start a faction with 2 other regens who've just won the tag titles) and the newly signed Bat Cooper. The next day I get the usual call up warning.

It's weird how the AI has gone from 1 call up in my original save to calling up everyone to the point I haven't even got half way through a planned storyline or had a decent title reign from day 1.

Although Tommy Cornell is leaving 21CW in a few days and it's been nice to see him putting people over and sliding down the card to the point he's just lost one of my call ups rare matches to Bryn Archer.

What are you going to do with Sid?

I don’t know, I keep flipping on this one. I want to give him three months off after being Buried Alive, and then possibly bring him back as part of Paul Bearer’s stable with Vader (and eventually Kane), but I take a large chunk of my top star power off the card if I do so.

I need 5 good 70+ storylines every week and I occasionally struggle to hit that, which is why I currently have Austin/Owen and HBK/Bret in separate storylines when they really should be in the same one right now. Removing Sid is one more guaranteed 70+ storyline removed.

So far, In Your House 15: Cold Day in Hell is shaping up thusly:

WWF Title: Undertaker vs Vader

Tag Titles: Austin & HBK vs Bret & Neidhart vs Owen & Bulldog

Intercontinental: HHH vs Rocky Maivia (some kind of gimmick match, possibly Last Man Standing)

European: Shamrock vs Mero

Faarooq vs Goldust (WWF Title No 1 Contender)

Not quite sure where to go with the tag titles longterm either. I have a really crappy tag division (every other team is unimportant except Barry Windham of the New Blackjacks) and Vince won’t let me hire any experienced teams like LOD due to them being employed by a Medium or larger company. Don’t want to keep the titles on Austin & HBK probably past KOTR, but it’s gonna take some work to get it off them and move them down the card.

Finally done with In Your House and now we focus on King of The Ring and one of my favorite periods in WWF history. The 1998 Summer stretch, which hopefully gives us the match ratings we deserve at Summerslam</p>

What is Al Snow doing? Do you have the Oddities on your roster? You could have them in a feud
