Eisen-verse
'Wrestler X was penalized for holding back' I'm playing with the SWF and get this message every match; even matches that I dub as "Steal the Show." Is this just because our matches are not that intense; so, wrestlers are holding back? Just wanted to make sure if there was a way to help wrestlers 'not hold back' in the SWF. Show importance, most likely. Especially if they have the Canny Operator trait, people will hold back on shows that don't matter.
D-Lyrium
Where do you put the pic you want used when a worker doesn't have a picture? Skins > Default (or whichever Skin you're using) > Graphics. They're 'holding back' because it's a TV show or other event with low importance. There's no real way around it (workers with the Dynamo trait won't do it, but most others will). It's TEW's way of simulating the fact that a solid gold MOTY contender rarely happens on TV, workers save themselves for PPVs and larger events. Slash-LN
Has anyone found a product that really values in ring performance over popularity? I know in the search you can pick "Wrestling over entertainment" but that doesn't seem to affect the match rating.

My less skilled but more popular wrestlers are having far better performances than my better skilled yet less popular workers. Corey
If you start your own network is it possible to offer other companies TV slots on that network? I'm playing a TCW save and having them apply the mentality "a rising tide lifts all boats" with them becoming friendly with a bunch of companies and it'd be cool if I could put those companies' TV shows/events on a TCW Network if possible. forlan
what's the password for the database? the editor is limited. Can you clarify what you mean by limited.. the mdb file is password protected so it can't be edited outside of the editor in game as far as I'm aware as it could cause errors or problems

MaximumZero
Does Core Product not affect the actual product? It seems like no matter what I put into Core Product, it doesn't affect the consequences/settings of the fed. The only thing that changes those consequences (and also seemingly the product in the ring,) is Current Product. Am I missing something? (So, spitballing, I think ACPW, who have core product fast and furious and current product guerilla warfare, IIRC, won't be able to move from guerilla warfare to a close product unless it's also close to fast and furious - I think I have that right?)

MaximumZero
Seems like the Core Product should have a little bigger effect, especially with clashing styles. Like, if I pick Family Friendly Pro Wrestling and pair it with Risque Adult, Deathmatch, or Extreme Hardcore, it should probably throw up a flag or two. As it sits, the in-ring action isn't tinted by the Core at all, and that seems very, very weird, considering that it's supposed to be the identity of the fed.

Edit: If I were to balance this out, and I'm not Adam (of course,) so take this with a grain of salt, I would weight Core vs Current Product on a sliding scale of how important they are to the company. So: say we go with Family Friendly and Deathmatch, and we set up our fed to have maybe one Deathmatch a week, but an otherwise clean show. Maybe the ratings are based on 90% Family Friendly and 10% Deathmatch? As you add Deathmatch elements to your shows, that could increase.

D-Lyrium
The aim of the feature isn't really to restrict the user from changing the product though. That's not what it's about. The point of the feature is to make sure the AI is able to adapt the product to the owner's liking (usually when a new owner takes over) without going too far off-brand and ruining immersion.

If Johnny Martin became CEO of TCW for example you'd expect a shift towards a grittier product, but TCW becoming a Deathmatch company would be weird...

The user should be able to do that if they want (and incur the penalties it entails along the way) because they're the player and presumably have some kind of plan. But the AI shouldn't.

Core Product simply tells the AI "this is, first and foremost, what we're about, you can change it a bit but don't make us into something we're not".

Kinda like tag team types. The player doesn't need to care if they're a unit, permanent unit or individuals. The player can work that out themselves. But the AI does need to know so that it can handle them properly. It would be silly to penalize the player for booking individuals in tag matches too often, but the AI needs to know "these guys don't team all the time, just occasionally" because it can't tell otherwise.
