Sorry if this has already been answered but how do you hire another company’s booker?

For example I’m playing the AWA in 1985 and want to hire Dusty but I can’t since he’s booking NWA

You can hire him, just not on an exclusive contract, as he won't want to give up his booking job.

I find it odd that Classic Southern Rasslin will mildly accept Eye Candy matches and Classic Sports Entertainment penalize the player for booking them.  Is there a reason for this setting? I would figure Classic Southern Rasslin would care more about in-ring performance and Classic Sports Entertainment leaning toward Entertainment would be more accepting of Eye Candy matches.

Admittedly, could go into Small Questions, but:

I'm 30 pop in North India.  Got Very Small coverage there (and Tiny the world over).  Four yearly events each month, and a tv show.  So 8 shows/month.  They're anywhere from 50-60 rating.  Yet sometimes I only improve in 53 regions, not the full 56.  I don't get a note about the size of coverage post show.  I'm just confused why my popularity seems stunted, and why it wouldn't apply to every region, given that I'm seen everywhere.

I know there's Organic Growth, but that seems to be related to the maximum popularity gain for a show for any specific region; I'm not getting any growth, so that shouldn't be relevant.

I know that there's the monthly limit to growth, which I guess is what I'm running into, which has to do with the fact that I'm Tiny, right?  So if I can only get...1 popularity per region per month, say, then once I'm Small I could get 2 popularity a month (arbitrary numbers)?

Which still doesn't explain why I get popular everywhere else...unless...I'm getting more people to watch in India and thus I'm hitting the monthly cap faster, I guess?  ish?

Still, not getting any red text post-show is weird.

Is there a way either in game or via exporting the database that I can see the text description for angles after a show has run? I can see the title but want to be able to see the full text that I have put in for those segments to catch up on where I was with a game I haven't played for a while.

No, there isn't. That data isn't saved - the save file size would be enormous if it saved the text for every segment.

Two quick questions:

1. Ist there a face/heel skill somewhere like in previous versions

2. Will the push levels of workers in TEW 2020 automatically adjusted. I think in previous versions that had to be done manually.

Thanks!

1 - It's done via attributes instead.

2 - There aren't push levels, it was replaced with perception levels. They're explained in detail in the handbook.

In my current game I own a developmental company that I created as well as CWA, which I bought out. Even if I make an agreement for CWA to accept developmental workers, I don’t have the option to borrow workers from them like I do with my created company. Is there a way to make these workers from CWA available to borrow? Or can I only have one company available to borrow from at a time? Keep in mind I am NOT trying to do a talent trade here.

If I understand what happened when you bought them out correctly I believe that you can't get a hold of those workers because they are signed to CWA and not to you. If you send workers to CWA you should be able to borrow them back but those folks that have CWA contracts don't work the same way. I quickly tested this with SWF/RIPW but the workers impacted there like Curt Meritt don't have written contracts so it may be a little different. You can try to terminate the contract he has with RIPW (but in this case the owner MJC stops you, not sure if all owners would be like that), but you can't call him up. For a rule of thumb, I think you can only use the 'borrow' mechanic on workers that appear in your 'Developmental' tab.

If those CWA workers you want are on non-exclusive deals then you can negotiate with them yourself and then send them back as a dev worker. If they're on a written, you may be stuck waiting for the end of the contract to negotiate.

Thanks for your answer. Did some poking around and realized if I select the “Take” button on the roster page their contract passes over to me, I can send them back to CWA and then borrow them like normal.

I have 20 workers, two at $80 per appearance,  three at $40 per appearance, and the rest are $30 or $20 per appearance. None of them have bonuses other than 10% of their merchandise sales. So how how am I being hit for $13000 plus for worker payments? It says that about $13000 is in bonuses that I am supposedly paying out. I checked everyone, no one is getting bonuses.

Bonuses include things like travel, hotels, catering, etc. You've likely either left some of the backstage perks on, or, you're paying contracted travel and hotel costs for several workers who aren't local to you.

Not sure if it's the best place to ask so feel free to move it away if needed, but I have a question/need tips on finances.

Basically, I'm tempted to try a "AWA Revival" save on Fleisch's 92 mod, but have it so that rather than the company being bought from Verne Gagne by someone wealthy enough to pay the debts, I'd want the debt to stay and have to work towards paying it slowly. Since it's 2,5m$ we're talking about, what would be the best method ?
The roster is completly empty, so I'd need to build one, but what should I do ? Hire the biggest names I can find, even though for most they would at best be Upper midcarders in the WCW/WWF (King Kong Bundy, Nikita Koloff, Tully Blanchard, etc), along with a couple of solid populard midcarders (Chris Adams, Paul Roma, One Man Gang, Boris Zhukov, etc), and the rest be hot prospects ? Hire only local guys, and tank the huge hits in popularity while building up the few young stars I can find, and hope they'll grow quickly enough that I can start making money and paying the debt ?

Alternatively, my other option for a 92 save would be creating "World Pro Wrestling", Jerry Grey's company, that was mostly doing small indy shows when hired by casinos and the likes to have an event (as far as I can tell, to be fair I didn't research it for long either). What would be an accurate amount of money to start ? 10k as suggested by TEW seems a bit low, as they hired old timers and had apparently a TV show on a local broadcaster, but I honestly have no idea how much money such a company would have.

If I want to tape my B-Show Friday in Week 1 October and tape two shows (they air on Sundays), can I tape two more of the same B-Show on Saturday in Week 1 October for Weeks 3 and 4?

I have an A-Show that is held and shown on Thursdays, LIVE or tape 1 episode at a time, however you want to call it.

I have two B-Shows.  One airs on Saturday, the other on Sunday.  One is always taped on A-Show days, one per event.  The second B-Show I want to tape periodically, either before the Friday lesser event at the beginning of every month, or when possible.

The schedule would run like this:

Every Thursday: A-Show (LIVE-never taped)
Tape B-Show 1 for Saturdays

Friday, Week 1, October: Lesser Event, tape two episodes of Proving Ground B-Show before Event
Saturday, Week 1, October: Special Event, tape two episodes of Proving Ground B-Show before Event

(Below is an example for the rest of the month)

Thursday, Week 2, October: A-Show TV, B-Show 1 Taping
Friday, Week 2, October: Lesser Event
Saturday, Week 2, October: Special Event
Sunday, Week 2, October: Normal PPV Event

Thursday, Week 3, October: A-Show, B-Show 1 Taping
Thursday, Week 4, October: A-Show, B-Show 1 Taping

What's the best way to keep the game populated with talent long term? Regeneration or let the dojos populate the game? Ideally I don't want a situation where the game is too bloated.

Also, do regens come through training schools or just appear as free agents?

Re: Dojos and regens and such.

Dojos are a place regens can come from, but you'll need regens on without pictures to give it an easier time.  And most of the new guys are bad.  Some are okay, some are awesome, but I'm not loving this 9-54 stamina guy at the moment.  Or, take a 20-38 psych guy who's now 24-42 in a year.  He's actually carryable due to good aerial skills, but I only hired him for a meme animal stable.  You'll want as many new guys as you can in order to try to find someone decent.

That said!

Make a new database (in case you mess up).  Import worker names and images.  Make like...30 people a la:

newguy.thumb.png.84466affcda4a3e5059572fd40a203c9.png

Those skills aren't obscenely overpowered for a rookie (I'm likely lying), but drop Experienced down to Trainee, and skills to average if you want.  Copy them, shuffle the names, just get like 30 people.  Save them.

Now import that data into your game in your main database game from gear icon -> Import Data.  Choose new database, workers, boom.  You've now added an influx of at least decent new guys.

How long does it take for someone to learn a different language.

As an example, 65 workers, and 3 of them only speak Japanese. A couple of workers speak English and Japanese. And the rest only speak English. How long would it take for those 3 Japanese workers to learn English?

It depends entirely on their exposure. If they're in the same locker room as a lot of English speakers four times a week, every week, then they're going to learn a lot quicker than if it's once a month.
