[Beta Release] Risky Business(January 1985)

Recommended Posts

Yeah I understand them not being on the rosters, but having them in the database at least would be a help. Then the player could put them on the roster if they wanted/needed to use them.

I think Hive's 95 scenario had a decent amount of enhancement talent as well. I feel like the 80's mods, where they would be most useful, lacked them though.

Another thing that would be good to flesh out is more "Yet to debut" people. I assume this is a time thing for mod makers as most want to get on to the next mod but adding in people who didn't neccessarily become stars but still debuted later on would be great. Most mod makers do well adding the "stars" but kind of fall back on not adding guys who didn't become much of anything.

It appears the 2016 version of the mod has that area pretty set, anyone specific that it is missing?

I'll take a look through and see what I can turn up and provide a list of the ones that are missing that I think would be cool to add.

There are lots of jobbers also. I'd like to see a list if anyone can provide of missing names</p>

If there's any yet to debut workers you'd like to see in the data, feel free to list them as that's my second task after I get through the initial workers.!

I've always wanted Mad Maxine to be part of this database. She was originally pegged to be Wendi Richter's challenger after Wrestlemania and at one point, there was images of her cartoon character that was supposed to be in Hulk Hogan's Rock and Wrestling cartoon. She ended up only being in WWF for a cup of coffee and her character got replaced by Fabulous Moolah in the series. She ended up never being a big deal, so I get her not being included but she has been in other Mods, and this is the one that she'd have had the best potential to be a star.

Also if you watch WWF shows from this time, Richter got a hell of a pop only rivaled by Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant types. I am sure a lot of it was due to Cyndi Lauper but I don't think most Mods really understand that was she a legit star for a short period and if WWF gave a shit about women's wrestling that she could have been a top draw in 1980s WWF. I would love for that to be reflected better this time.

I think. Ron Shaw is missing from this specific mod. Those are two off the top of my head. Is Angelo Mosca JR in this mod?</p>

As for Wendi, I'll do some tests with bumping her popularity up. I do know she was one of the biggest stars of the era so she should definitely have pop indicating that.

I'm glad you are looking into this. As someone who always plays with a woman's division I'm always in favor of adding female workers.

I also agree that Richter's popularly is underrated in the mod. Though, if I remember right, this was one of the easier mod's to get the woman's division over in.

So, uh, I don't know if you'd be interested in this, but as an Aussie who began wrestling last year, I've always wanted to see more Aussie promotions and wrestlers in real world mods. Having met a few over the past year and spent some time studying the (admittedly not burgeoning) wrestling scene over here, I could give you some names and info on a few of them. I'm terrible at determining people's skill levels unless they're HIGHLY one way or the other, but I can find some videos of people and for any of the wrestlers I've met or heard stories about, I can definitely give you some personality traits of theirs if you're interested.

<p>Great to see you continuing this. Matt and I have been great friends for over a decade now, and I feel his work is still underappreciated. Kudos to you.</p><p> </p><p>

Excited to see this play out. <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Glad to see this is ongoing, I remember way back when Matt Shannon started this project and I am glad you are keeping the legacy going!

Actually, I think it was Alvarasus that got the ball rolling way back. Even came up with the name! He let me take over when life got in the way (I think that's what happened... Been so long), & now I've let Jaysin do the same for the same reason. I hope he's having as much fun putting it together as I did for TEW 2013. I think my favorite part was taking after Fleisch & writing the backstories behind the various alter egos for workers, much like he (Fleisch... pronouns, pal) did for Real World Chronicles.

Has it really been that long since I first worked on this?

As far as favorite things that occurred when I played the data back on TEW 2013, I always left He-Man active because I thought it was hilarious when World Class would sign him.

AWA is possbile, maybe WCCW but I don't know if I want to deal with the locker room lol.</p>

Hopeful on this one. This is the time period I'm looking for. I'm going to combine AWA/WCCW/Stampede and maybe Championship Wrestling from Florida into a super company to challenge the WWF & JCP. One company, 3/4 seperate brands to keep the promotions separate and then with super shows every month with combined rosters.
