If you've played my previous Effganic 1920s mods since TEW08, then you'll know exactly what this is. The game starts with the birth of professional wrestling, 1920, with the debut of Southern Pro Wrestling. The game starts with only one active promotion and a handful of wrestlers, but over time will evolve into something entirely its own. There are a few "yet to debut" workers in the database, but for the most part, the game will create the workers, making each experience truly unique. Promotions have been added to pop up over time and throughout all of the world, laying the groundwork for the universe. How you play is entirely up to you. You can jump in and start with SPW, create or own company, sim 5, 10, 15 years and then play, or just sit back and watch the world happen.

While a lot has stayed the same, a big concentration for this year's version was immersive lore that will hopefully add some extra flavor to your experience.

Thanks everyone.

Great work ! I like the graphics so that's definitely a download for me.

What settings would you recommand ? I suppose it has an impact on the game world ?

The one thing I definitely recommend is to turn on Autofix Imbalances, so that it will add refs, announcers, etc when needed. Having organic bios on is also a nice touch.

Outside of that, it is really up to you preferences.

As an Effganic/MVP player, I fired this would be a good thread to to confirm that as long as you allow organic companies, autobalance, new workers, and whatever else you want, you could actually set up a bare bones mod with one worker, one company, a user character, and the standard DB imports (broadcaster/names/gimmicks etc.).

5 years in and I have 10 new companies and only one in Canada has never hired. I don't even have future workers or companies.

This runs MUCH better than previous games, where it seems no one would ever be hired, bankruptcies, and there were never enough workers.

Maybe. When I first started update this mod for 2020, I had it in my head I was also going to do Not Ready for Prime Time. As work continued I began to fall in love with the lore I was creating, which only grew when I began doing long run testing.

With all of that out of the way, I may do a quick cleanup to the original Not Ready for Prime Time mod. Since most of the hard work has already been done for Genesis, it shouldn't take to long to get the 1980s playable.

This sounds like a really great idea and I’m looking forward to future developments. Thanks for this one!

Played my first year and had a grand ol' time naming all of my events pretentious things to play with the idea I was one-upping SPW (who promptly had much better shows than me, but nyeh to them).

I had a thought and maybe in the long term this might cause issues with population, but have you considered making the generic training schools and dojos eventually have a hard close date?

I feel like at a certain 'critical mass', if you like, when the game world has managed to create enough of its own facilities, the preexisting ones might start to overclog the population. Of course, you will have done much more testing on this than my idle speculation, but could be worth thinking about.

Interesting things that arose: my user character suffered the first injury in pro wrestling history, and one of my workers died in a freak accident. Gutted, especially as I had earmarked him as possibly being a star for us. Definitely one of the most talented guys to show so far.

The original plan was to have the training facilities close, but during simming I noticed that no new facilities were opening up. I'm sure it is because there are so many open already, but my concern was that there wouldn't be enough to spawn to make up for the loss.

I'm not ruling it out, I just have to figure out where the line is.

There is no way MVP is gonna compete with this, and not just because I've had zero time to even use my computer lately. Well done Eff, even though we were never really in competition, you've done everything I wanted to do with MVP this year and more.

So yeah, MVP guys, go play this, it'll be better than anything I could work on. :p

EDIT: OH right, I forgot I got Arlie to change my name, haha. Yeah, I was sevestra but I hadn't used that name online since 2013 really so I changed it to my Twitch/Youtube identity.

Thank you for your kind words. As a fellow organic maker, it means a lot.

As I said in Discord, selfishly I'm disappointed I won't be able to play yours.

I'll take a look. Would love to play a full thing of this mod but there are too many QoL issues with 2020 at the moment.</p>
