Lights Out Match: Ethan Page vs. Darby Allin NO CONTEST/DRAW

Going crazy with my guess here. Thought is a crazy Allin move off something high resulting in both fighters being unable to continue.

MJF vs. Sammy Guevara

FTR vs. Gunn Brothers

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Hangman Adam Page

Red Velvet vs. Diamante

Night One of Fyter Fest was a phenomenal night of wrestling! Airing from Dallas, TX, the five match show captivated the LIVE CROWD from beginning to end!

In the opener, Adam Page defeated Will Hobbs in a hell of a contest. The live crowd adored Hangman, who had the first entrance outside of Texas since March 2020. Ricky Starks and HOOOOOOOOOK kept getting involved, but Brian Cage made an appearance to a big pop and cleared house, throwing an injured (?) Ricky around ringside and chasing HOOOOOOOOK back up the ramp. The distractions were enough for Hangman to nail a Buckshot Lariat for the win!

Cody Rhodes and his Nightmare Family came to the ring to celebrate their win over The Factory last week. Cody spoke highly of his group, and said that in the next five or so years, don't be surprised if ALL of them are champions. Before saying much more, the lights in the arena dimmed and a man in a suit appeared on the big screen. The camera was focused on a chair, and the man sat down in the chair to reveal his face. It's NWA World's Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis!!!!!! Aldis introduced himself, although most of the Texas crowd recognized him and the beautiful Ten Pounds of Gold. Aldis stated that ever since AEW was formed, he has had to hear every day, why isn't Nick Aldis in AEW? And the truth is, that's what Tony Khan wants. Tony wants the NWA champion on his roster. And well Cody, the NWA is here. With that, from behind the Nightmare Family appeared Jax Dane, Chris Adonis, and Zicky Dice! The three NWA members beat down the Nightmare Family with chairs in hand, as Nick Aldis walked down the ramp holding the NWA World's Heavyweight Championship! Dane and Adonis held up Cody Rhodes, and Aldis laid him out with a belt shot to the face!

Backstage, in a different Dark Order lair, the Dark Order was celebrating with Hangman Adam Page. They told him they were proud of him, and that the win is really solidifying the #1 spot in the rankings. The mention of the rankings clearly disturbed Hangman, as he knows what is next. He changed the subject to John Silver, who he noted was medically cleared! John Silver told Alex Marvez that the clearance means he is finally getting what he earned pre-injury, a TNT title shot! Silver said that Johnny is HUNGEE for a championship, and that Miro better be ready!

In the ring, the Pinnacle's FTR defeated the Gunn Brothers rather easily. Tully Blanchard and Billy Gunn argued and were thrown out by Paul Turner! One Goodnight Express on Austin later, and the match was over.

There was a Thunder Rosa video, with the fiery babyface cutting a promo on AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker. She said that she beat the champion in that legendary Lights Out main event on Dynamite, and that she deserves a title match! She expects Britt's answer next week!

MJF and Wardlow were walking backstage, when MJF bumped into Eddie Kingston. They stared at each other for a moment before Wardlow stepped in between them. Kingston told MJF to calm his lap dog before he catches a beating! MJF told Wardlow to ease up as they kept walking, as Kingston chuckled to himself.

Red Velvet defeated Diamante in a singles match, and was told by Tony Schiavone that she has just earned an NWA Women's World Championship match with Serena Deeb next week!

In a hell of a match, MJF was able to take down Sammy Guevara. The match ended after a Tombstone Piledriver from the top by MJF! A move that lit up the Texas crowd. After the match, Shawn Spears, Wardlow and FTR entered the ring and Spears prepared to take out Guevara with a chair shot to the head, Before he could, the rest of the Inner Circle hit the ring and stopped the beatdown.

Alex Marvez caught up with the NWA crew on their way out of the building. He asked Nick Aldis what he was doing in AEW, to which Aldis responded that they are here to stop the tyrannical ways of Cody Rhodes. Cody is not the saving grace of wrestling; he is not the traditionalist he claims to be. Those claims lay at the feet of the NWA World's Heavyweight Champion, Nick Aldis!

The main event was a Lights Out Match between Darby Allin and Ethan Page. It was exactly what would you expect: insanity. Darby is a legitimate ragdoll. One of the most notable spots was an Ego's Edge from the middle rope to a set of ringsteps in the ring, causing the ringsteps to bend and crack upon impact. The finish came when Darby hopped on Ethan's back with a skateboard covered in tacks on the bottom, followed by a Coffin Drop WITH the skateboard across Ethan's stomach! The crowd erupted at the three count.

1. Adam Page def. Will Hobbs

2. FTR def. Gunn Brothers

3. Red Velvet def. Diamante

4. MJF def. Sammy Guevara

5. Lights Out: Darby Allin def. Ethan Page

As you can tell here, I switched up the format for the show. I've been toying with different styles for awhile now, just trying to find something quick and easy. I'm part of the 4-person Coalition team, which admittedly is pretty low maintenance since its only 1/4 me, and the ThunderVerse just released which has been taking up literally all of my time. I've been toying with an ambitious idea there, but am not ready to commit just yet.

For now, enjoy the show my friends, there will be many more!

2. Wardlow def. Matt Cross</p><p>

3. Anthony Ogogo def. Fuego Del Sol</p><p>

4. Thunder Rosa def. Leyla Hirsch</p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

<hr color = gold></p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:left;"><p> <strong>1. </strong>The show opened with the <strong>TNT Championship</strong> match between<strong> John Silver</strong>, fresh off his shoulder injury, taking on the champion: <strong>"The Redeemer" Miro</strong>. As usual, the crowd is hot for John Silver as he has perhaps the best babyface fire in the business today. Miro's strength would be too much for him however, and he would fall in just over twelve minutes, tapping out to the Game Over.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Chris Jericho</strong> and <strong>MJF </strong>made their ways to the ring for a meeting before their highly anticipated showdown next week at Fight for the Fallen. They each took turns on the mic with their usual barbs at one another, MJF calling Jericho old and Jericho calling MJF a child whose shoes are too big for him right now. Jericho put him over, saying that MJF is undoubtedly the future of this business, but he won't be the best until Jericho hangs up the boots. They almost came to blows, but Wardlow and Jake Hager stood between their men and caused a standoff.</p><p> </p><p>

Backstage,<strong> Alex Marvez </strong>met with <strong>Christian Cage</strong> and <strong>Jurassic Express.</strong> Jungle Boy was still visibly upset with himself following his loss to Kenny Omega in the AEW World Championship match two weeks ago. Christian Cage told him to keep his head held high because he WILL be champion, sooner rather than later.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>2. </strong><strong>Serena Deeb</strong> successfully defended the <strong>NWA World Women's Championship</strong> against <strong>Red Velvet</strong>. Serena showed many more heel tendencies than in previous encounters, even moreso than at Double or Nothing against Riho. After the match, Serena stepped right over Red Velvet and held the NWA Women's title high to the skies. <strong>NWA World Champion Nick Aldis</strong> walked to the ring and help her hand up and soaked in the boos from the Texas crowd.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>The Inner Circle</strong> was in their locker room backstage when <strong>Eddie Kingston</strong> walked in. Hager and Sammy jumped up, but Santana and Ortiz told them it was cool. Kingston says he knows what kind of Long Island Trash MJF is, he's seen many like him back home.Kingston said he was there to let the Inner Circle know that if the Pinnacle tries some BS in either match next week, then he'll be there out of respect for his boys Santana and Ortiz. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>3.</strong> <strong>Riho </strong>defeated <strong>the Bunny</strong> in a match designed to get Riho over. The real news was after the match, which saw <strong>Jade Cargill</strong> come to the ring with<strong> Smart Mark Sterling. </strong>Sterling said his client was here to solidify her spot at the top of the women's division in All Elite Wrestling. She beat Riho, the first ever AEW Women's World Champion, but she hasn't been booked since. So if the office won't put her in a spot to succeed, she'll make her own. Cargill took down Riho and hoisted her up for her finisher, but Yuka Sakazaki and Hikaru Shida sprinted to the ring before any more damage could be done. Cargill and Sterling smiled as they walked up the ramp, and Sterling told the Sakazaki and Shida that Jade was coming for both of them too.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker DMD </strong>stood on the ramp with <strong>Tony Schiavone</strong>. Britt said she heard Thunder Rosa's challenge last week, but she doesn't know what she was talking about. When she opens the record books, she doesn't see any record of a match with Thunder Rosa. So, her answer to Rosa's challenge is NO. Tony told Britt that she should take the match, because we all know what happened when they went face to face last time. Britt was incensed and started arguing with her "best friend." During this argument, <strong>Thunder Rosa</strong> came out of the tunnel and attacked <strong>Reba </strong>from behind, unbeknownst to the oblivious Britt Baker. Rosa took Reba's crutch and smacked Britt across the back with it. After a few more smacks, she held the AEW Women's World title above her head and draped it across Britt's back.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Hangman Adam Page</strong> was backstage with <strong>the Dark Order </strong>and <strong>Alex Marvez.</strong> Hangman told John Silver to keep his head up because he had a great showing against Miro, and maybe next time he'll come out on top. Silver told Hangman that he is really good at giving a good pep talk, but maybe Hangman should listen to himself. The Dark Order knows how Hangman doubts himself, but Hangman is the number one contender and we know what that means. Hangman hung his head and said he needed some time to himself.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>4. </strong><strong>Brian Cage</strong> took on <strong>Will Hobbs</strong> in an<strong> FTW Championship</strong> match. A true HOSS FIGHT, Brian Cage came out on top in ten minutes. Postmatch, <strong>Taz </strong>grabbed a microphone and demanded Cage hand over the FTW title to its founder and rightful owner. Cage refused, and Taz told him he would regret it. Suddenly, a bulky man with a mask and hood slid into the ring and took down Cage. Somehow, the man hit a Samoan Drop on the huge Brian Cage. The man unmasked to reveal himself as<strong> Jacob Fatu</strong>.<strong> Ricky Starks, HOOOOOK, Taz</strong>, and Hobbs slid into the ring as Fatu went to the top and nailed a moonsault on the fallen FTW champ. Team Taz stood tall with a new member.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>PAC </strong>was backstage with <strong>Alex Marvez</strong>. Marvez asked PAC what was next for the Bastard in AEW, but before he could answer, <strong>Karl Anderson</strong> stepped into view and began arguing with PAC. <strong>Doc Gallows </strong>came from behind and gave PAC a forearm to the back of his neck. The Good Brothers beat down the Bastard until the<strong> Lucha Brothers </strong>arrived and made them scamper away.</p><p> </p><p>

Before the main event, the announce team ran down Fight for the Fallen's stacked card:</p><p>

-Yuka Sakazaki vs. Jade Cargill</p><p>

-Santana & Ortiz vs. FTR</p><p>

-NWA World' Heavyweight Championship: Nick Aldis © vs. Dustin Rhodes</p><p>

-AEW Women's World Championship: Britt Baker DMD © vs. Thunder Rosa</p><p>

-MJF vs. Chris Jericho</p><p>

-Private Party vs. Jungle Boy & Christian Cage</p><p>

Plus, we hear from Andrade El Idolo</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>5.</strong> In an incredible main event,<strong> Kenny Omega </strong>successfully defended the <strong>AEW World Championship</strong> against <strong>"Freshly Squeezed" Orange Cassidy. </strong>Cassidy had his moments, but ultimately The Cleaner won this match with some help from the <strong>Young Bucks</strong> at ringside. After the match, <strong>Don Callis</strong> got Orange to his feet and prepped him for a triple superkick, but <strong>Chuck Taylor</strong> and <strong>Trent </strong>sprinted to the ring and began brawling with the Elite. Eventually, the numbers game was too much and the Bucks hit Chuck Taylor with a Meltzer Driver, and Trent was taken out with a One Winged Angel. Orange Cassidy also wound up the victim of a triple superkick after all, and the Elite stood tall to end Fyter Fest Night Two.</p><p> </p><p>
