AEW DYNAMITE: GRAND SLAM

WEDNESDAY WEEK 3, SEPTEMBER 2021

<hr color = gold>

AEW DARK: ELEVATION

1. Chuck Taylor def. Serpentico

2. Nyla Rose def. Red Velvet

3. Jake Hager def. Daniel Garcia

<hr color = gold>

The biggest show in the history of All Elite Wrestling is in the books. In front of 20,177 fans in Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City, the show was filled with huge moments from beginning to end. The show begins with New York's own Eddie Kingston, who comes to the ring to a deafening pop.

1. TNT Championship: Eddie Kingston def. Miro © - In front of a hometown crowd, Eddie Kingston has dethroned the Redeemer. A true hoss fight, the two beat the absolute hell out of each other. Kingston tore apart Miro's chest, while Miro bosted Kingston's nose with a hard lariat. A spinning backfist, Tiger Driver, Gamangiri, and finally a folding powerbomb put away Miro, giving Eddie his first title win in All Elite Wrestling.

Eddie Kingston's win received a pop that rivalled even CM Punk's pop in Chicago two weeks ago. Jon Moxley came down to the ring and gave his longtime friend a hug and raised his hand in victory.

After the break, AEW World Champion Hangman Adam Page came to the ring for an interview with Tony Schiavone. Before he could say much, he was interrupted by the Men of the Year: Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky. Ethan told Hangman that he was tired of sitting in the back, waiting for his moment in the sun. He's been working his ass off since day one in this company. He reminded the 20,177 in attendance that he has not lost a singles match in All Elite Wrestling. Hangman asked him about his match with Darby Allin at Fyter Fest, because he's pretty sure he saw him get pinned in the middle of the ring. Ethan responded that he checked the record books, and there is no mention of a match with Darby Allin anywhere on the page [it was a Lights Out match]. As far as they are concerned, Ethan Page is still undefeated and has not received the respect he deserves, and that's why they are out here now. He officially challenged Hangman Page to an AEW World Championship match, to which Hangman accepted.

2. Jade Cargill def. Julia Hart - Despite the crowd being behind "The Hartbreaker" Julia Hart, Jade made rather quick work of her, pinning her in just over six minutes after one hope spot ended in despair.

Andrade El Idolo and Thea Trinidad cut a promo from the back. Thea said that they are angry at Orange Cassidy for the mockery he has made of professional wrestling, and after last week, Andrade is ready to squeeze the life out of Orange. Thea talked to Tony Khan, and next week, it will be Andrade El Idolo vs. Orange Cassidy.

Backstage, the Inner Circle hung out in their locker room. Santana and Ortiz were preparing for their AEW World Tag Team Championship match in the main event against The Young Bucks. Jericho said that it is their time to shine, a notion that was backed up by Sammy Guevara and Jake Hager.

3. FTW Championship: Ricky Starks def. Brian Cage © - The FTW title is back with Team Taz. After running through Will Hobbs and Jacob Fatu, his 15 month reign with the unsanctioned belt ended with a loss to the Stroke Daddy, Ricky Starks. Hobbs, HOOOOOOOOK, and Jeff Cobb interfered with Hobbs wacking Cage across the face with the FTW title, leading to Starks hitting a spear and pinning Cage for the victory. Team Taz celebrated together at the top of the ramp.

CM Punk came to the ring to a big pop. He cut a promo on Darby Allin and Sting to hype their match on the first episode of Rampage in two weeks. He said he has all the respect in the world for the both of them, and when it comes time for their match, he will not be taking Darby lightly. Punk is ready to reclaim his title of Best in the World.

After commercials, MJF and Wardlow came to the ring to huge jeers. He cut a promo on the crowd, saying that his whole life he has heard horror stories about the people of Queens, New York, and now that he is here, he knows that every single one was true. He said he's glad the scum stay within the city, so places like Long Island don't get infested with these rodents. After a few more cheap heat insults, the music of Paul Wight hit, and out from the back came the giant. Wight said he's sick and tired of hearing MJF complain about everything all the damn time. Every city they go to, he has to listen to him bitch. Wight said he might not be from New York City, but he would rather spend his days with the people of Queens than a Long Island loudmouth like MJF. The two went back and forth for a minute, before Wight stepped up to MJF. Wardlow got in between them, and MJF gave Wardlow the go ahead to push Wight. The giant barely budged, and shoved Wardlow right back into MJF, knocking them both over. They scurried from the ring as Paul Wight stood tall as AEW went to break.

4. Joshi Lightning Squad (Riho & Yuka Sakazaki) def. Serena Deeb & The Bunny - A fine match that saw Riho and Sakazaki mightily over with the New York crowd. Deeb was also given a lot, and was the one who got the heat on both of her opponents. However, the boney knees of Riho and a Magical Girl Splash by Sakazaki put away the Bunny, giving the babyfaces the victory.

The losers immediately started attacking the winners as the bell repeatedly sounded over and over. From the back came Leyla Hirsch, from whom the heels ran away from. Leyla helped Riho and Yuka to their feet, but then drilled Riho with a lariat and took down Yuka with a DDT. She then put Riho on her shoulders and hit a Death Valley Driver. She stood over them as she removed her sleeveless hoodie to reveal a Team Taz shirt. Taz came down to the ring and grabbed a microphone. He said that Team Taz was expanding, and "who betta" to bring in that LEGIT Leyla Hirsch.

After break, the AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker DMD came to the ring. She cut a similar promo to MJF, calling New Yorkers lower than the people of her hometown of Pittsburgh. She went on to claim she is the best AEW Women's World Champion ever, and she will crush Hikaru Shida's one year reign. Before much else can be said, the lights went out in Arthur Ashe, and a graphic appeared on the screen with the phrase "DESTINATION: NEW YORK CITY" followed by "DESTINATION: ALL ELITE WRESTLING." Rancid played through the stadium as Ruby Soho made her AEW debut, stepping through the tunnel to a huge pop from the crowd. She soaked in the cheers, then walked down to the ring. She walked around Britt, who stood still with a look of disgust on her face. She did the 'belt around the waist' motion and walked back up the ramp with a contagious smile as the crowd went nuts for her.

Backstage, Jon Moxley celebrated with the new TNT Champion Eddie Kingston. Moxley held the IWGP United States title and asked Eddie if they would've ever thought this possible fifteen years ago when they were working for a hot dog in CZW, two if they were lucky. After some friendly banter, Moxley said that the two of them will be fighting champions. Mox said he doesn’t give a shit about a Forbidden Door, he'll knock that sumbitch off the hinges and walk right through it. He won't wait around for someone to walk through, he'll do it himself. And that starts with a man from New Japan Pro Wrestling, the so-called promoters of the title over his shoulder. Next week, Moxley will defend the IWGP United States Championship against Hirooki Goto.

5. AEW World Tag Team Championship: Santana & Ortiz def. The Young Bucks © - The ultimate feel-good moment to cap off a night's worth of feel-good moments. After two years, Santana and Ortiz have finally become AEW World Tag Team Champions. They did it in great fashion, defeating their day-one rivals in the Young Bucks. They came to the ring with Santana wearing a Yankees jersey and Ortiz wearing a Mets jersey, and the Bucks came to the ring wearing Red Sox apparel from head to toe. It was the exact match one would expect, with crazy dives and tandem offense. A Meltzer Driver was broken up by an elbow drop from the top rope by Santana, and after throwing Matt out of the ring, they hit a Street Sweeper to win the titles to an absolutely monstrous pop from the New York faithful.

Santana and Ortiz celebrated for a couple minutes, but were attacked from behind by the Good Brothers. The Bucks joined in a few moments later, and then Kenny Omega jogged down to help his buddies in the beatdown. The rest of the Inner Circle sprinted down to help the new champs, but shortly after evening the odds they were taken down as well. The Elite stood tall and Kenny Omega brought Santana onto his shoulders, but then a theme hit the arena…

BRYAN DANIELSON!

Bryan Danielson came to the ring and stood alongside the Inner Circle: Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana, Ortiz. Then the two sides collided and a huge brawl broke out, ending with Danielson and the Inner Circle standing tall. The Elite scurried up the ramp as the crowd went ballistic seeing Danielson in an AEW ring. He lifted the arms of the new AEW World Tag Team Champions as AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam went off the air.

AEW DYNAMITE

WEDNESDAY WEEK 4, SEPTEMBER 2021

<hr color = gold>

AEW DARK: ELEVATION

1. Trent def. Luther

2. Riho def. KiLynn King

3. The Butcher & The Blade def. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss

<hr color = gold>

Dynamite opened with AEW's newest signee Bryan Danielson coming to the ring. Danielson talked about coming to AEW to prove that he is truly the greatest of all time. But he cannot claim to be the GOAT unless he laces up the boots with the Best Bout Machine, Kenny Omega. Kenny came to the ring flanked by the rest of the Elite. He told Danielson that while Danielson was withering away elsewhere, Kenny was staking his claim as the greatest of all time. He has sold out shows across the world, winning title after title along the way. Danielson said he had already talked to Tony Khan, and TK has booked Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson for the next Dynamite special, in three weeks at AEW Dynamite: Awakening. Kenny laughed but was clearly effected by the news, and only said "you're on."

1. IWGP UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: Jon Moxley © def. Hirooki Goto - Despite his best efforts and some support from the crowd, the NJPW import fell to Jon Moxley. New TNT Champion Eddie Kingston seconded Mox to the ring.

In a pre-recorded video, PAC told Andrade El Idolo that he would be watching tonight's main event against Orange Cassidy.

2. Leyla Hirsch def. Red Velvet - The newest member of Team Taz was decked out in orange and took care of Velvet in quick fashion. Taz and Will Hobbs were ringside to cheer her on and celebrated with her post-match.

The Young Bucks were backstage with cameraman Brandon Cutler. They said that just because they lost the tag titles to Santana & Ortiz, that does not mean they are going to stop fighting. Next week, they want the Motor City Machine Guns.

3. Lucha Brothers def. The Acclaimed - Max Caster could not back up his bars as Penta and Fenix hit their spike cradle piledriver on him for the victory.

Backstage, the Inner Circle were celebrating Santana & Ortiz's title win over the Bucks last week. Jericho said from the first ever Dynamite in October 2019, one of his goals was to get his boys the AEW tag titles, and after two years it has finally happened. Santana said their work has just begun, and they are ready for everyone.

Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley were backstage holding their titles high. Kingston said that this has been two decades in the making, and he will be damned if anyone tries to take the straps from him and Mox.

4. NWA WORLD WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: Thunder Rosa © def. Nyla Rose - Thunder Rosa continues to be one of the hottest talents in AEW as she takes down the Native Beast.

AEW Women's World Champion Dr. Britt Baker DMD was in the ring with Tony Schiavone. Before long, the lights went out and when they came back on, Ruby Soho was in the ring with the champion. The former Heidi Lovelace soaked in the cheers from the crowd in her debut before grabbing a microphone and simply saying, "Watch your back, bitch. That title is my destination."

5. Ethan Page def. Dante Martin - All Ego was taken to his limit, but came out on top thanks to the interference by his Men of the Year partner Scorpio Sky.

Ethan Page grabbed a microphone and said that next week, he will be taking home the AEW World Championship. This prompted Hangman to come to the ring, also equipped with a microphone. Hangman said that Ethan can claim he's undefeated all he wants, but everyone saw his match with Darby, to which Ethan responded that that match never officially happened. After a bit more back and forth, Scorpio Sky blindsided the champ with a straight punch, and the Men of the Year put the boots to him. Ethan gave Hangman an Ego's Edge and stood tall, holding the AEW World title high in the sky.

We had a pre-recorded video of CM Punk and Sting, hyping Punk's debut match with Darby Allin on the first episode of Rampage next Friday. The two of them went over the accolades of Darby in his time with AEW, and Punk said that Darby reminds him of a younger CM Punk. When they collide on AEW Rampage, Punk will prove that he is still the Best in the World, but Sting said Punk has never stood across the ring with an enigma like Darby Allin.

The announce team broke down the card for next week. In his first match since ending Matt Hardy's career, Christian Cage will face QT Marshall. Jack Evans will take on the debuting ALTISIMO (fka Samuray Del Sol)! The Young Bucks face the Motor City Machine Guns. Wardlow will take on Matt Sydal. And in the main event, Hangman Adam Page will defend the AEW World Championship against "All Ego" Ethan Page.

6. Andrade El Idolo def. Orange Cassidy - Andrade came out on top in a match that had the crowd going from bell to bell.

Thea Trinidad spoke after the match, listing off the opponents her client Andrade has beaten since coming to AEW. Sammy Guevara, check. Cody Rhodes, check. Orange Cassidy, check. If PAC wants to add his name on the list, then cross the Atlantic Ocean and come face Andrade like a man! "Smooth" by Santana played as Dynamite went off the air. Wardlow will face Matt Sydal, Team Taz's Leyla Hirsch will look to continue her winning streak, this time against KiLynn King.

<hr color = gold>

RESULTS

1. IWGP UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP: Jon Moxley © def. Hirooki Goto (5th defense)

2. Leyla Hirsch def. Red Velvet

3. NWA WORLD WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: Thunder Rosa © def. Nyla Rose (2nd defense)

Welcome back bro! :cool:

Thank you my good friend!

I booked this save up through August 2022 so I figured I'd actually post the shows for them :D I've written a couple months ahead so I don't end up falling way behind again. In my extremely not-so-humble opinion, I think what I've booked rivals what has transpired over the last few months. The signings, feuds and matchups I've had are killer and I'm happy I get to share them!

I recommend reading through the entire thread, as I know it will be difficult to keep things straight between what is happening in this thread and what is happening IRL!

I am liking this. Very authentic. Very sharp presentation. Lots of high points... even though The Acclaimed lost. :p

Will be coming back!

Much appreciated!! Hope you and I succeed in our dynasties :p

On another note, since it's been so long I'll give a refresher on the major debuts, and who has or hasn't shown up:

HAS:

  1. CM Punk - Debuted on the first episode of AEW Dynamite after All Out. Debut was identical to IRL, down to the Darby challenge, this time for the inaugural episode of AEW Rampage in a couple weeks.
  2. Bryan Danielson - Debuted at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam to stop an Elite beatdown on Inner Circle. Not necessarily affiliated with Inner Circle (sort of like Jurassic Express IRL), mostly concerned with Kenny Omega.
  3. Ruby Soho - Debuted on the last episode on Dynamite, confronted AEW Women's World Champion Britt Baker, told her to watch her back.
  4. Andrade El Idolo & Thea Trinidad - Debuted together a few months back, Andrade beat Cody at All Out, currently feuding with PAC.
  5. Motor City Machine Guns - Debuted to be a strong veteran presence in the tag team division.
  6. Jacob Fatu - Member of Team Taz

HAS NOT:

  1. Adam Cole
  2. Kyle O'Reilly
  3. Bobby Fish
  4. Malakai Black
  5. Brody King
  6. Lio Rush (technically he did, but I released him day one since he originally retired after Double or Nothing, which was the starting point for this diary)
  7. Kiera Hogan
  8. Julia Hart
  9. Jamie Hayter
  10. Jay Lethal
  11. Lee Moriarty
  12. Tony Nese
