<span class="showinfo">2013 Battle of Los Angeles - Night Two \\ Reseda, CA \\ 2013.08.31</span>

<div class="resultbackground"><span class="show">

1. Starting off the night yet again is
Kevin Steen
and he put together another great performance, this time against
Ricochet
. After beating Trent? the night before, the crowd was eager to see what Ricochet could pull off against the PWG icon. That said, Steen didn't have any time for Ricochet and his flips, doing everything in his wheelhouse to keep the junior grounded. A pop-up powerbomb onto the apron would've shattered any normal person's spine, but Ricochet is far from normal and that 630 Senton of his showcases that. However, Steen was ready for it and after rolling out of the way, the Package Piledriver would do its job for the Canadian to earn a spot in the semi-final.

2. After facing Willie Mack,
ACH
was a needed refresher for
Paul London
, but what ACH lacked in Mack's power, he made up for it by being just a bit faster than London. However, that sheer speed of ACH was no match for London's veteran mindset. It's not often you think of London as that grizzled veteran, but that's exactly who he was for this one as he needed all ten plus years of experience to find a way to avoid ACH's deadly 450 splash. ACH wowed the crowd and even got a smile out of London following some of his theatrics, but it just wasn't enough tonight for him as London's run continued.

3. Having kept himself relatively fresh after last night,
Drake Younger
was looking to make short work of
Kyle O'Reilly
, but the British Columbia native had scouted out Younger's performance from Night One and was ready for it. Younger looked to make this another all-out brawl, scrapfest, but Kyle O'Reilly is not the guy you want to test in that department, more than willing to dish out the exact same damage. The real difference maker here was O'Reilly's technical game and while Younger is a tough son of a bitch with the Reseda faithful behind him, there was nothing he could do once O'Reilly slapped on that triangle choke and referee Justin Borden called for the bell as Younger began to fade.

4. The last quarter-final match saw
Roderick Strong
pick up a tough win against
Brian Cage
, who wasn't going down without a fight. Back at TEN, we saw a glimpse of what these two were capable of against one another and it was ugly - in the best way possible. Cage was willing to go blow-for-blow with Strong and he paid for it with a busted nose thanks to a leaping knee strike. The blood pouring from Cage created a horrifying visual as the machine went on a rampage against Strong, holding him up for nearly a minute at one point in a suplex hold and a deadlift German suplex after it. Though, for as tough as Cage is, Strong is right there with him and would not be denied the win tonight.

5.Right before intermission, the crowd got a chance to relax a bit as this six-person tag match slowed things down with some comic relief. There were still some great moments though, such as
Tommaso Ciampa
hitting a trio of lariats that turned
Candice LeRae
,
TJ Perkins
, AND
Willie Mack
inside out.
AR Fox
and
Rich Swann
even got a brief dance-off started that saw LeRae bust out her best Elaine dance before Perkins put an end to things with a Tiger Suplex onto Swann. Talk about a party foul. The final sequence of the match was a back-and-forth trading of pins between LeRae and Ciampa before LeRae finally managed to keep Ciampa down to give her team the victory.

6. Back to tournament action and
Paul London
continued his incredible BOLA run with a win against
Roderick Strong
after his London Calling. A rematch from BOLA 2010. Worth noting is London's tour of the incredible styles presented in PWG: Mack's power, ACH's speed, and Strong's intensity all in two days. And not to take away from Strong, who has had a great tournament run himself and has really started to showcase what he's capable of. But London has been a man on a mission himself. Unable to break London's nose, Strong settled on just trying to break his back instead with a variety of backbreakers and a crazy back body drop onto the ring apron at one point while the two were outside. But a running Shooting Star Press off the apron would pave way for another one inside the ring for London to punch him into the final.

7. Who would London face in the final? It's an interesting story as
Kyle O'Reilly
and
Kevin Steen
squared off for the first time in a PWG ring. The story of this tournament for O'Reilly has been his attempt to replicate what his Future Shock teammate did last night while Steen was looking to add the one thing that has eluded him during his time in PWG. Needless to say, an incredible match would unfold as O'Reilly would hit a Brainbuster on the apron and Steen would return the favor later on with a pop-up powerbomb onto the edge of the ring. Both men treated this semi-final match as if it was the final round. But what would change the tide of this match was an errant shot from Steen taking out referee Rick Knox, similar to the scene from Is Your Body Ready?

And
Adam Cole
would make his presence known again, PWG World Championship in his hands again, and he looked to take Steen's head off! But Kevin was ready for it this time, ducking it, and Cole would crash the belt into O'Reilly's face instead! Steen quickly threw Cole out of the ring, picked O'Reilly up for the Package Piledriver, and referee Justin Borden arrived just in time to make the three! It's no secret the differences shared between Cole and O'Reilly lately, but Cole insists that he was just trying to help out his friend as a dejected O'Reilly made his way to the back.

8.
Adam Cole
would stay out ringside for the next match with The Young Bucks joining him for the 2nd non-tournament match of the night. Dubbing themselves as the Best Friends,
Chuck Taylor
and
Trent?
put together a spectacular display of teamwork while
Johnny Gargano
acted a bit like the third wheel. While the duo of Taylor and Gargano have given the Bucks trouble before,
Matt
and
Nick Jackson
were taken aback by the duo of Taylor and Trent? Worth noting in this match was Cole practically being booed out of the building after accidentally taking out the crowd favorite in the match prior. A great match and the three most hated men in Reseda would continue their hot streaks despite the heroics from the Best Friends.

9. With the stakes higher than ever for this rematch from the first night of All Star Weekend earlier in the year,
Kevin Steen
and
Paul London
were determined to make history in this one. On commentary, Excalibur points out the fact that the last time Kevin Steen was in the BOLA finals, he was against El Generico and now he's back here again after 2 years against the man Generico held the PWG World Tag Team Championships with back in 2010 for nearly a year. A handshake between the two before the match and referee Rick Knox signaled for the bell.

The Reseda faithful were treated to back-to-back great matches and this one was no different. The wear and tear of the tournament mixed with the American Legion Post being the hottest it had been all night created a tense atmosphere; neither man wanted to take the wrong first step. Both wrestlers had to be perfect if they wanted to win this one and unsurprisingly, this match came down to the wire. You wouldn't think these men wrestled three grueling matches in two days after this one went over the twenty minute mark. The action spilled to the outside and we'd see London thrown into the wall of the building and Steen would survive a Dragon Suplex onto some chairs.

When Rick Knox got things back inside the ring, things would settle down, but only slightly. The match finally came to an end after Steen hit an F-5 on London and looked for the Package Piledriver! But London would escape it, drilling Steen with two superkicks in a row to put him down, a standing shoot star press, and finally heading up top for the London Calling! The bell rang, fans rushed to slap their hands on the edge of the ring, and streamers covered everyone inside of it as Knox presented Paul London with the Battle of Los Angeles trophy. A beautiful moment to cap off an exhausting weekend…

But it wasn't over yet as
Adam Cole
came out to congratulate London, acknowledging him as his next challenger...and as the next man Cole would put down. The fans were booing Cole loud enough to make him pause, but as he tried to speak again, London drilled him with a superkick to a huge pop! Until The Young Bucks came running into the ring to jump the BOLA winner and help Cole out. The three beat down London until
Candice LeRae
ran in to help out! Only for a stereo superkick from
Matt
and
Nick Jackson
to put her down.
Willie Mack
was out next, able to take out the Bucks, but Cole would drive the PWG World Championship into Mack's head. Fan favorite
Drake Younger
would join in to help out, but would suffer the same fate.

The one equalizer though was
Kyle O'Reilly
armed with a steel chair! If there was any hope of a Future Shock reunion, it came to an end here as O'Reilly was ready to swing that chair at Cole, but he'd get stopped and spun around into a Package Piledriver from Kevin Steen! The Reseda fans could not believe it as Steen embraced the Bucks and his long time rival Adam Cole! And he wasn't done as he picked up LeRae for a Package Piledriver! Steen snapped London's trophy over his knee and looked for a Package Piledriver on London, but more of the PWG roster ran into the ring to send the four most hated men in Reseda running. "What the f*ck" chants broke out; a sentiment shared by everyone in the building.

London recovered, helping O'Reilly to his feet in the process, and the BOLA winner would take a microphone, cutting a passionate promo in the aftermath of what just unfolded. He thanked the wrestlers, the staff, and fans before making it clear that at the next show, he'd be taking the PWG World Championship from Adam Cole, resulting in a roar from the crowd as the show came to a close.

"The second the 'OLE' chants ended, it was replaced by 'LONDON! LONDON! LONDON!' or 'O'REILLY! O'REILLY! O'REILLY!' Where's my f**king chant?!" A seething Kevin Steen barked at the camera with Adam Cole, Matt & Nick Jackson behind him. What happened tonight isn't Steen's fault, it's Reseda's. Steen can't wrap his head around why every fan in the building isn't chanting "KILL! STEEN! KILL!" when he shows up in PWG. For there to be even one or two fans going against him, that's a criminal offense. Steen points to the Bucks next to him, saying the PWG fans turned their backs on the PWG World Tag Team Champions too. Steen then turns to Cole, their history no secret, and Steen glares at the PWG World Champion for a second, causing the arrogant smirk on Cole's face to be wiped away. "You? I'll get to you later."

With his attention back toward the camera, "But you see, I'm Kevin Steen! And I made this goddamn place!" Steen continues to run down the fans. He points back to the night El Generico left this company and that he was just an afterthought in the ring. The streamers, the chants, the applause, they were all for Generico. Even though Generico was leaving Reseda behind, the crowd couldn't help themselves, but chanted for him regardless. And while Steen doesn't explicitly say where Generico went, we've all got the idea. Cole pats Steen on the back of the shoulder and this prompts Steen to turn back toward him yet again.

"You? I hate you. So much. You are such a piece of shit." With Steen's finger pointed right in Cole's face and now the Bucks are starting to get a bit anxious as to where this is going. "But I'm a piece of shit. I can appreciate pieces of shit. And they always say, 'If you can't beat'em, join'em.'" Steen's tone is picking up again as that arrogant smirk has returned and Steen is tapping on Cole's chest, screaming out "I got your goddamn back!" It doesn't matter who stands in Adam Cole's way because Kevin Steen is going to be there to make sure they all suck...well, you know the rest.

But not for the good Christian boys, not for The Young Bucks. The PWG fans took Steen for granted, he said, they took the Bucks for granted for years, but now they love them. It's too late! Steen pauses for a brief moment to apologize for his harsh language and Matt tells him he's already censoring it all in his head. But more importantly, it's too late to love them now. It's too late for PWG. They are the champions and Steen doesn't need a belt, "I'm the champion of the universe." he says.

The fact that the PWG crowd were cheering for a WWE reject makes Steen sick. The fact that they were cheering for Paul London against him is unforgivable. Steen pulls the other three men in, wrapping his arms around their shoulders, and caps this all off by saying

"We are the Mount Rushmore of Professional Wrestling..."

"And this is just the beginning…"

And that, ladies and gents, is the 2013 Battle of Los Angeles. A slightly different course and a winner that is definitely out of left field, hopefully one that is seen as possible. Telling a story in PWG can be a bit tricky due to its format, but we're on the path to one I hope I can successfully deliver. A similar ending and aftermath, but I think it's hard to envision this era of PWG without Mount Rushmore. Now things will be getting a little wild.

Killer show, although Samuray del Sol lost!

Delighted to be here. VERY MAD AT SOME OF THE RESULTS but excited to see how the tournament continues.

How DARE you beat Samuray AND Gargano :'(

Love the love for del Sol! Really enjoyed his two PWG showings before he VANISHED. He's sticking around longer than anticipated here though, but you never know who may come calling for a good lucha thing.

As for Gargano, well, who knows what's coming down the line for him :p

Well, my pick fell at the first hurdle. It's a good job I'm not a gambling man. :p

Haha, your reasoning for Elgin was solid though! No shame in that :D Him vs. O'Reilly was a first round match I had thought of before the game started, just to throw all predictions out the window. Love a good bit of bracket busting.

Well, expecting a baby has had me mad busy, but glad I found my way to this!

You already know how I feel about you and PWG diaries. :D Excited to see what's next.

I missed that show, but I'll go for the Bonus: I'm torn between Steen, Rico, and Roddy.. though I love London and Cage at this point IRL going through to the next round. I'll pick Roderick Strong by a hair.

Was wondering when you were gonna pop in :p But more importantly, holy shit, congrats on the baby!

Glad to have you here and hope I can deliver! I think you were there for my first PWG dynasty, but I guess that has gone to the great archive in the sky somewhere. Really can't go wrong with any of those guys. London is a dude who I always thought could've carved out a spot for himself on the independents, especially during this time, and someone I've liked a ton. I had plans if I was gonna do an ROH dynasty, he was gonna be the cornerstone for it.

Next post will be the news update and then the card for MATT RUSHMORE should be up sometime before the weekend.

I really dig London as the winner to be honest. Wasn't on my scoresheet at first, but I enjoy that you try it with a different guy. Diaries from the past can be a bit tricky when you copy a lot of things that happened in real life. With Mount Rushmore you took the same line as in reality but I feel you for doing the same angle.

Curious to see how they'll act the next shows.

Though, there's still word going around that may change at any moment. More on that down below.</p><p> </p><p> A familiar face returns to TNA and that is <strong>Awesome Kong</strong>, who has signed an exclusive deal with the company. As you may recall, her run in WWE as Kharma was cut early due to pregnancy and after that, she just couldn't get ready in time for WWE even after a brief appearance in the 2012 Royal Rumble. Well now she's back in the company that gave her television exposure and just last week, the company rewarded her by having her go over reigning champion Gail Kim and Serena Deeb in a cage match at Bound For Glory.</p><p> </p><p> Last update also covered the birth of WWE's Performance Center. As mentioned, this Performance Center has been designed to make the transition from non-wrestling sports to wrestling a lot smoother and we're already starting to see that take place as some newer faces have made their debuts on the Florida house shows not too long after signing. One of those signings is a Columbus, Ohio native by the name of Alexis Kaufman, recently making her debut against Sasha Banks under the name <strong>Alexa Bliss</strong>. With a gymnastics and fitness modeling background, she's got a great base for what they love in a standard WWE Diva. Her height at an even 5-foot could give her difficulty, but considering how heavily they're featuring her on the house shows, we think she'll be just fine. Seems to be working with some cheerleader/fairy hybrid gimmick.</p><p> </p><p> The other noteworthy graduate is CJ Perry, now known as <strong>Lana</strong>. A really diverse background for her and a history of ballet and modeling as well. She's wrestled against Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Barbi Hayden (signed back in May) a handful of times on the house shows. Though no one expected her to be great out of the gate, there's already some talks about transitioning Lana to a manager role or backstage interviewer. Lana grew up in Latvia and her familiarity with Eastern Europe might see her fall into the cliched evil foreigner role.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Notable Departures</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> We talked about the signing of Ted DiBiase Sr. in the last update, maybe to pair with his son, but a week after covering so, <strong>Ted DiBiase Jr.</strong> was let go from the company. Interesting timing and the reasoning going around at the time was that DiBiase Jr. was possibly going to step away from wrestling, but he's recently been working untelevised OVW events, so who knows.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Tara</strong>, once known as Victoria in WWE, wrapped up her time in TNA after finishing her program against Serena Deeb. Tara had been with the company since 2009, but was starting to see less and less time on TV, so this isn't a complete shock. Five reigns as the Knockouts Champion in the company and no doubt she'd be welcomed back any time. At 42, Tara intends to wrestle under her real name, Lisa Marie Varon on the independents until someone gives her a call back.</p><p> </p><p> As talked about last month, both <strong>Steve Corino</strong> and <strong>Akira Tozawa</strong> have finished their remaining dates before heading to TNA and NJPW respectively. Tozawa's final match in Dragon Gate was him and Dragon Kid dropping the Open The Twin Gates titles to Ricochet and Naoki Tanizaki.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Notable Retirements</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> At the end of the year, we can expect to see <strong>Yoshihiro Takayama</strong> wrestle his last match. Currently spending time in NOAH and ZERO1, Takayama made his announcement following a show in September. With a lot of mileage under him from both wrestling and a limited MMA career, Takayama cited his body as the reason he wanted to hang his boots up. Some thought the 47-year old would become more of a gatekeeper for a few more years, but Takayama seems content with his career and health to call this his last year in the ring. There's early speculation that his final match could be against old rivals Jun Akiyama and Go Shiozaki.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Akira Taue</strong> had his final match earlier in October against KENTA. Taue originally wanted to finish up by the end of the year similar to Takayama, but father time was calling quicker than anticipated. The last remaining member of the legendary AJPW Four Pillars of Wrestling. A retirement ceremony was held in NOAH for him and his old friend and tag team partner Toshiaki Kawada was there to see him off. It looks like now Taue will transition to a backstage role in NOAH, even talks of him becoming the next president of the company. We've also heard Taue's had some interest in opening up his own restaurant like Kawada.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Misc. News</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> In late May, the partnership between OVW and TNA came to an end and the reasoning has become a bit more clear now. For the longest time the company was content with staying where it was, but lately they've been branching out more and more. Not saying they're going to be a threat to WWE or even TNA any time soon, but they're a company to keep an eye on, especially if they keep running their school on top of it for a feeder system.</p><p> </p><p> In August, Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling officially became a company underneath the DDT umbrella. They ran some shows until the TJP banner last year, but now it looks like they're intent on becoming a full time company. Though there does seem to be some confusion if TJP will stand on its own or if it's meant to act as a feeder system for DDT. Regardless, definitely a company to keep your eye on.</p><p> </p><p> More WWE re-signings including head trainer <strong>Sara Amato</strong>, <strong>Cameron</strong>, <strong>Bayley</strong>, <strong>Alex Riley</strong>, <strong>Luke Harper</strong>, <strong>Baron Corbin</strong>, <strong>Kane</strong>, <strong>Damien Sandow</strong>, and <strong>Natayla Neidhart</strong>. Along with that news, we've also seen <strong>William Regal</strong>, <strong>Xavier Woods</strong>, <strong>Big E. Langston</strong>, <strong>Adrian Neville</strong>, and <strong>Corey Graves </strong>make their way to the main roster. With Regal, we understand that he's still going to be overseeing a lot of duties at the Performance Center and is only set to make an occasional appearance on RAW. Big E, who had already been splitting his time between NXT and SmackDown, is now a full-time member of the brand. Corey Graves also joins fellow former NXT Champions Big E and Kassius Ohno as a member of SmackDown, making it three former NXT Champions on the same brand.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Randy Orton</strong> became the new <strong>WWE Champion</strong> in September after cashing in his title shot against John Cena. <strong>CM Punk</strong> is still holding onto his title shot as <strong>Dolph Ziggler</strong>'s impressive 6-month reign continues. In NJPW, <strong>Hirooki Goto</strong> finally overcame the hump and captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from Kazuchika Okada. With <strong>Katsuyori Shibata</strong>'s G1 victory, the two friends seem set on a path for Wrestle Kingdom next year, but Goto will first have to survive his rematch against Okada, stemming from his loss against the former champion in the G1 Climax. And on the topic of tournaments, <strong>Paul London</strong> has seen a bit of a resurgence in his career after winning PWG's Battle of Los Angeles in August.</p><p> </p><p> An interesting decision by the company. Heading into the tournament season, there were ideas of Kyle O'Reilly, Michael Elgin or even Kevin Steen winning the Battle of Los Angeles. London has had an up-and-down career on the independents, but this seems like a move that'll give him some stability. At the very least, it's gotten the people talking. The Reseda crowd took well to London's winning, but you almost have to wonder if someone more over with the crowd like an O'Reilly or even Drake Younger should've been the call. Time will tell though.</p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Rumor Roundup</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> As mentioned at the top of the article, New Japan Pro Wrestling has had a quiet few months after signing Akira Tozawa, Kenoh, and Kenny Omega, but word is they're trying to make one more big signing before the year is over. The money that New Japan is supposedly willing to spend on this wrestler might be enough to make the leap to the company. Somewhat related to this rumor is New Japan's reported interest in expanding their presence, specifically in North America.</p><p> </p><p> Another interesting tie-in is the WWE Network, which has been teased for a couple years now, appears to finally be a reality and is supposedly launching sometime early next year. Originally thought to be a paid channel on cable providers, it seems like the WWE Network will work as an on-demand service similar to Netflix and Hulu with a plethora of old WWE content and the tape libraries they own. If successful, this could send waves throughout the industry, and if a company like New Japan is interested in appealing to a wider audience, mirroring the WWE Network could be the move.</p><p> </p><p> With the birth of the Performance Center, the impending arrival of the WWE Network, and the rise in popularity of NXT, it seems like WWE are eager to snag more independent talent to help cover all their bases. We can now confirm that <strong>William Regal</strong> was indeed there for both nights of the Battle of Los Angeles tournament and it's no surprise that since then a handful of PWG talent have received tryouts. In a slightly surprising move, WWE.com posted an article detailing some of the participants at their second tryout out of the year and while it isn't the full list, it's participants that WWE sought to single out, here's an excerpt of that below.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53342" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p><img alt="kvfSTrW.png" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/kvfSTrW.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><div style="text-align:center;"></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><span class="tryouts">WWE's second domestic talent tryout of 2013, featuring more than 30 athletes, is underway this week at the WWE Performance Center.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> This camp is the final WWE tryout of 2013. Again, unable to pinpoint any names at the moment, but we've heard that there are wrestlers in both WWE and TNA looking to get out of their contracts sooner rather than later. Some wrestlers in WWE have critiqued the recent NXT call-ups and the lack of direction many of them are facing as an ominous sign for the future for NXT. In the past, it's been referred to as "Spring Cleaning", where numerous talent would be let go, but as of recent years, WWE has seen that as bad publicity and has eased back on mass releases. Though, don't be surprised if some talent are granted their releases before the year is through or sometime early next year.</p><p> </p><p> While in TNA, the mixture of Dixie, Hogan, and vague rumors that <strong>Vince Russo</strong> is back working for the company has created a lot of tension backstage. There have been longstanding rumors that talent such as AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Matt Morgan have been itching to leave the company. Whether those reasons are strictly creative or personal (or both in this company's case), we'll see if WWE comes calling for any of these three names. </div></p></div><p><hr width=512px; size=1></p><p> </p><p> Whew. I am convinced these are going to end up being longer than all of my shows combined at some point, but there were a lot of rumors to cover! And getting used to this will come in handy for what is going to be a semi-crazy end of the year.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Blodyxe" data-cite="Blodyxe" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="53342" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Well, nobody envisoned that outcome, but PWG is full of surprises <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> </p><p> Just picturing Excalibur's head exploding as he sees all that unravel makes me a happy camper. I'm even more pleased with how you recreated one of my all-time favorite heel turns and faction formations. Great stuff, looking forward to what's next.</div></blockquote><p> Yeah, the formation of Mount Rushmore is so iconic and really crucial to this period in PWG. Just put my own little twist on it and moved some pieces, but for the most part, it's an already perfect angle to mirror.</p><p> </p><p> Appreciate the support again, fellas, and I imagine the Matt Rushmore card will maybe be up later today or some time this weekend.</p>

Really not sure about the WWE Network idea. They’ve been selling pay per views at forty bucks a month for so long, and now they’re doing a whole streaming service? They’ll have to charge at least $20 a month to make it work, and I wouldn’t really want to pay that.

Very interesting to see del Sol and O’Reilly get WWE tryouts. They don’t feel like WWE’s kind of wrestler, but if they can get the bag, that’s awesome for them.

Kyle Greenwood huh :p

Also Ryan Drago was the first ever PWG loser, losing to Sara Amato in an opening match of their debut show. I was very surprised when I found out who that was

This blew my mind when I found this out as well. I guess I just always assumed Simon Gotch was an FCW guy who was there forever like some others at the time and hadn't done much outside of WWE.

20 bucks is a lot, but at least I'll be able to watch all of WCW, Stampede, and everything else they own right away. They even said the old XFL games will be on there!

Maybe with them hiring PAC and Generico and putting them on SmackDown, they're gonna bring back the Cruiserweight title.

<div class="resultbackground"><span class="show"></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">Kicking off the show wasn't a match, but instead, Mount Rushmore joined </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Excalibur</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> in the ring, interrupting the commentator during his pre-show introduction. While </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Kevin Steen</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> chilled in the corner, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Matt Jackson</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> started things off with his best Scott Hall impression while </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Adam Cole</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> and </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Nick Jackson</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> mimicked the rest of the nWo. The four men took turns ripping into PWG, the wrestlers, and the fans. A chorus of boos (and the occasional laugh) followed, but having heard enough, Excalibur snatched back the microphone from Cole. Excalibur mentions that the Bucks are defending their titles as a result of their actions at Night Two of BOLA, but regardless of what happens to Cole and the Bucks in their respective title matches, that's not enough. So next month, Cole and the Bucks will face off against, hopefully the new PWG World Champion, Paul London, Kyle O'Reilly, and a mystery opponent. IN GUERRILLA WARFARE! The crowd pops for this and the three men look ready to knock Excalibur's head off, but Steen gets in the way, calming them down, and letting them know he's got their back. Steen's words do the trick and the four men exit as the show officially gets underway.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

1. After over a year away, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Ray Rosas</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> made his PWG return alongside tag team partner "Pretty" </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Peter Avalon</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> in a losing effort over the Forever Hooligans. A much needed win for </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Alex Koslov</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> and </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Rocky Romero</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">, who have fallen short in every match since their debut as a team in PWG. The two teams showcased their comedic chops, but when it was time to be serious, they delivered on that front too. The crowd were happy to see the Hooligans get their first win following a Contract Killer on Rosas.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

2. In his first match since turning his back on the PWG faithful, </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Kevin Steen</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> defeated </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Anthony Nese</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> in a hell of a match. While only having been in PWG for a short while, Nese showed his loyalty to the company in his effort to put Steen down. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be enough as Steen tapped into a different side. Of course, the brutality of Steen has been well documented throughout his years in Reseda, but tonight he truly embraced "KILL STEEN KILL" with back-to-back-to-back Package Piledrivers on Nese. Referee Rick Knox helped Nese up to his feet after the match and he was thanked with a standing ovation from the crowd, eager to see him return.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

3. Their first official tag team match in PWG couldn't have gone better for the Best Friends. It's no secret what </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Chuck Taylor</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> and </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Trent?</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> have been capable of on their own, but they really clicked as a team. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>AR Fox</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> was determined to snap his losing streak with </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Rich Swann</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> by his side, but tonight just wasn't his night. There was a real hunger shown by Fox and Swann was just as eager to help his friend pick up the win. Though it'd be that aforementioned chemistry of Taylor and Trent? that would prove to be too tough of an obstacle for Fox and Swann to overcome.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

4. Right before intermission, the fans were treated to one of the craziest multi-man matches as </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>ACH</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> was able to hit his 450 splash on </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Drake Younger</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> after surviving a deadlift German suplex from </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Brian Cage</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> that saw him land right on his neck. And while ACH walked away with his hand raised, there's no doubt that </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Ricochet</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> was the star of this match. Splitting time between Dragon Gate and New Japan has done wonders for Ricochet as his fighting spirit was on display, bouncing back to his feet for a crisp dropkick on Younger following a ferocious lariat. Cage wowed the crowd with his strength as he held up ACH and Ricochet for a double stalling suplex. All around an incredible showing from each wrestler and while this wasn't an official number one contender's match, it does bode well for ACH going forward.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

5. Two men with something to prove came out after the break for a hard-hitting affair. </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Kyle O'Reilly</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> was robbed of his spot in the finals of the Battle of Los Angeles and </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Roderick Strong</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> knew he was just inches away from being there as well. Strong has truly risen through the ranks lately and he knew a win against O'Reilly would do wonders for him. But O'Reilly wrestled like a man possessed tonight, he would not stay down no matter what Strong threw at him. Revenge was the only thing on O'Reilly's mind as he kicked out of a Sick Kick on pure instinct. Similar to Steen earlier in the night, O'Reilly would hit back-to-back Brainbusters to put Strong down.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

6. Our first title match of the night, unfortunately, saw The Young Bucks retain against </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Candice LeRae</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> and </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Willie Mack</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">; the duo calling themselves the World's Toughest Cupcakes, decked out in matching blue and purple gear. But there's a reason </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Matt</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> and </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Nick Jackson</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> are the best tag team in the world. While the chemistry between LeRae and Mack was there, they still had some kinks to work out and the Bucks took advantage of that. That said, there were still some killer sequences from the Cupcakes. An avalanche exploder suplex from Mack would send Matt right into the center of the ring for an impressive moonsault from LeRae as well as stereo tope con hilos onto the Bucks later on. Perhaps even more impressive was Matt Jackson managing to lift Willie Mack up onto his shoulders for More Bang For Your Buck to see the brothers retain. No doubt the match of the night.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

7. But the PWG World Championship title match would put up a fair argument. Winning the Battle of Los Angeles seemed like such a fair shot for </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Paul London</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">, but he did it and was looking to defy the odds one more time by taking </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Adam Cole</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;">'s championship away from him. The two Battle of Los Angeles winners would wrestle for a grueling 30-minutes and Cole would have to pull out every trick in the book to keep his belt away from London's hands. A task that proved to be easier said than done.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Even in October, the temperature inside the American Legion Post was unbearable and this late in the night, it was even worse as the men were drenched in sweat not even 5 minutes in. Over the course of his BOLA run, London picked up a few things here and there, mainly the kicks of Kyle O'Reilly, laying into the legs and chest of Cole. At one point, it looked like we were due for an early London Calling, but Cole would leap to his feet and pop up for an enziguri to send London crashing to the outside. On commentary, Chuck Taylor speculates if it was the "white trash beard" that turned Adam Cole into a prick.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

This truly was a career-defining match for London as he pulled out all the stops, showcasing his technical ability and all that he learned from Shawn Michaels in his youth. Sadly, a scene all too familiar lately would occur as London was in prime position to hit his shooting star press only for the Bucks to take referee Rick Knox out of the ring to allow </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Kevin Steen</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> to blast London with a nasty forearm. Channeling his old rival, Steen would just about kill London with a brainbuster on the top turnbuckle and roll him inside for a dazed Cole to pin. Referee Justin Borden rushed into the ring to make the cover.</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

To say the Reseda fans were unhappy would be an understatement as Cole celebrated in the ring while </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Matt</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> and </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Nick Jackson</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> put the boots to London. And just like last month, the PWG locker room would once again pour out to send Mount Rushmore running to the hills. This time with </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>ACH</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> and </div><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Kyle O'Reilly</strong></div><div style="margin-left:25px;"> leading the charge. ACH grabbed a microphone and made it simple: He was calling his shot and wanted a chance at Adam Cole's PWG World Championship title. And it didn't look like O'Reilly was pleased at this development, but held his tongue as the crowd chanted ACH's name to close out the night.</div><p></span><span class="quick"><strong>Quick Results</strong></p><p>
