Hello! It’s been a while! I’m fully recharged and excited to have a second go at booking STARDOM, picking straight off from the STARDOM Nagoya Supreme Fight on 29/01/22. I made my first attempt at a diary 18 months ago, and whilst it was fun, I’m hoping to have another go at improving all aspects of diary writing. Although in real life Jungle Kyona and Konami leaving since my last diary did knock my interest slightly, STARDOM has skyrocketed in popularity! Thanks to a mixture of Utami & Syuri putting on acclaimed bouts last year, a whole host of new stars debuting and some intriguing storylines across the entire company. However, as STARDOM is growing in size they have been criticized for too many time limit draws, over pushing DDM / outside talent, and shunning their homegrown talent. Whilst I understand it from a business perspective, hopefully this diary can move away from this whilst still keeping some of STARDOM’s identity.

Thank you / Credits
I want thank : Tweek It, tryker2710, Dalton, poopykokko, KingOfSwing, PuroJoshi, kanegan, CGN91, joshbrady91, Mokoa for leaving feedback and commenting on my last diary as you guys and everyone who viewed my last diary were all awesome and motivated me to come back with an even better diary. CGN91 gets a double thank you for helping me figure out a way to present diaries on here and I want to thank DarK_RaideR for giving me the green light to follow his puro diary tour write up style, which I will tweak, but will definitely result in improved quality. Finally, I want to thank these talented people below for the data, graphics and pictures used throughout: Mod - Real World Chronicles 2021 by Questlove, NoLegsGaming and Devil_cyborg Belt Pictures - Killing the Business 2020 MOD by gazwefc83 Logo & Picture pack: joemurphy's Super Awesome Modern Picture Pack Custom cuts of Miyu Amasaki: tsdm1996 I’ll probably take a week to book ahead / finalize Tour / PPV presentation but with all that said, I hope you enjoy!

Company Overview

vhPNrJl.jpg

World Wonder Ring Stardom, often referred to simply as STARDOM is a Joshi (Female Japanese) professional wrestling promotion. It was founded in September 2010 by former Hyper Visual Fighting Arsion and JDStar owner Rossy Ogawa, retired wrestler, model and mixed martial artist Fuka Kakimoto and veteran professional wrestler Nanae Takahashi.

STARDOM quickly became one of the top joshi puroresu promotions, largely thanks to gravure idol Yuzuki Aikawa becoming the promotion's public face. Much like JDStar, Stardom also places heavy emphasis on the physical attractiveness of its workers, publishing several modelling photobooks and calendars of its workers per year. Stardom's in-ring style takes influence from mixed martial arts with many workers relying on kicks as the main part of their offense.

Factions play a vital part in the way STARDOM presents its characters and tells its stories. The landscape of STARDOM is always changing, which keeps the company feeling fresh and the main event scene interesting, as top talent is rotated in and out of spots on the card.

STARS are the main babyface faction looking to fight with honour. Led by the “Icon of STARDOM” Mayu Iwatani, they have had a difficult couple of years in terms of wrestlers betraying the faction but they always try their best, no matter the challenge.

1jxt4gm.gif

Mayu Iwatani

10 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: “Icon of STARDOM”

Mayu has been with STARDOM since the very first show in 2011 and is the Icon of STARDOM in every way. Through hard work and dedication, she has gone from being the least skilled rookie, with fans calling for her to quit, to being one of the best wrestlers in the world, carrying the company and being a leading light for Joshi wrestling. 2021 was a quiet year for Mayu, who lost Starlight Kid to Oedo Tai, despite winning a handicap match against Oedo Tai, and being out of the main event picture but make no mistake that the former 2-time world champion can easily be pushed back up to the main event picture.

Ok797xM.gif

Hazuki

5 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: "Wildheart"

Hazuki marches to the beat of her own drum. She was being lined up to take over from Kagetsu as leader of Oedo Tai, however, she shockingly announced her retirement in 2019 and publicly berated STARDOM during her retirement speech. When she made her unexpected return in 2021, she surprisingly was accepted into STARS and has established a tag team with Koguma called FWC, supporting Mayu as a leader in STARS.

YyX0KN3.gif

Koguma

3 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: ”High Speed Genius”

Koguma is the Japanese word meaning bear cub and Koguma often poses like a bear. Whilst her career has been short due to retiring after 2 years then only returning in 2021, she lives up to the nickname "High Speed Genius”. She is Goddess of STARDOM tag champs with Hazuki after winning the last tag league and she has fun, fast paced contests.

xQV2Dii.gif

Saya Iida

2 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: ”Gori-Chan” (Gorilla – Chan shortened)

Saya is unfortunately injured with a nasty ACl injury to start the diary, which is even more heart breaking given she was just starting to find herself as the Future of STARDOM. She is constantly improving and impressed in particular in her main event match against Giulia in Feb 2021. She maybe short standing at 4ft 9, but she has improved since her debut and will be a key part of STARS going forward.

wh7jykO.gif

Hanan

4 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: “JK Fighter” (High School Fighter)

Hanan has continued to get better year on year, balancing school with pro wrestling and looks to be a bright spark for the future.

YaANbyH.gif

Momo Kohgo

2 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: "Peach Star"

A former Actwres girl’Z competitor, Momo’s goal is to win a STARDOM belt. She has only had a few matches in STARDOM so it will be interesting to see how quickly she develops. </details>

Donna Del Mondo (DDM) can be translated as women of the world and are led by Giulia, who continues to bring in the best talent from outside companies. They have been portrayed very strongly since debuting a couple of years ago, although fractures are starting to show.

Giulia

4 Years Wrestling Experience.

Despite arriving from Ice Ribbon extremely controversially and fans initially rejecting her for a perceived over push, Giulia has managed to progress at a rapid pace since arriving in 2019 and is now without doubt a main event player in STARDOM. After a good white belt title reign was ended by Tam Nakano, she was forced to shave her hair, however she has rebuilt herself, overcame a big injury, and is now ready to take centre stage once again.

DmcAbTh.gif

Syuri

13 Years Wrestling Experience.

Syuri is a very special star, bringing legitimacy from kick boxing and MMA, she is a very versatile performer. She is selfless in working with and elevating other women and her series of matches with Utami Hayashishita, culminating in her capturing the red belt last year, was beautiful to watch.

AikedcX.gif

Maika

2 Years Wrestling Experience. Catchphrase: ”Maika Style”

Trained by Taka Michinoku, Maika is a key part of STARDOM’s golden generation, putting in main event performances despite being so early in her career.

30A3j7u.gif

Himeka

4 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: “Jumbo Princess”

The powerhouse of DDM, Himeka is often overlooked but she offers a different style of challenge to the STARDOM roster. She had tension with Natsupoi which was resolved and has made a claim to Syuri’s red belt and so may play a key part in the potential DDM civil war.

SjeXBoE.gif

Natsupoi

6 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: High Speed Fairy Catchphrase: ”Poi!”

Natsupoi was originally with STARDOM when she was a rookie but she left to wrestle elsewhere before returning under the DDM banner. Perfectly suited to the high speed division, she will be hoping to continue her growth.

VeNjheo.gif

Thekla

4 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: “The Toxic Spider”

After breaking the internet with her unique spider like wrestling style, Thekla has just managed to collect the SWA Championship. Being Austrian opens her belt up to the entire roster so hopefully lots of exciting defences are to come from her.

6ECVWpJ.gif

MIRAI

2 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: "Tohoko Strong Soul"

Mirai Maiumi can across with Tekla from TJPW to STARDOM and has been immediately slotted as a main event player. Her match with Syuri was good, especially for someone with 2 years ring experience, so she has a lot of room to grow. </details>

Oedo Tai can be translated to Samurai Corp (Corporation) and is the evolution from the Kimura Monster-gun lead Kyoko Kimura faction. The chaotic evil faction has gone through many iterations but are now looking as strong as ever. They will do heelish things like mime smoking, drinking and not trying 100%.

Momo Watanabe

7 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: “Black Peach”

After taking over QQ from Io Shirai and having a legendary white belt title reign, Momo shockingly betrayed QQ to join Oedo Tai. She now has her sights set firmly on destroying QQ then red belt glory.

p01MiDV.gif

Natsuko Tora

5 Years Wrestling Experience.

After turning on Jungle Kyona, Natsuko has had a tough time, trying to rebuild Oedo Tai. Getting injured in a red belt match last year after finally turning a corner by finding Oedo Tai and her identity was even more devastating.

He7ftWZ.gif

Starlight Kid

6 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: “Dark SLK”

Wanting to step out of Mayu’s shadow, Starlight Kid has embraced the dark side and is looking to pave her own path. She has rapidly improved over the last two years with a much stronger character and harder hitting move set.

0zGr7Ii.gif

Saki Kashima

6 Years Wrestling Experience.

Despite a 4 year retirement, Saki is a dependable member of the roster. She may have had a quiet 2021, but her Revival flash pin finisher has defeated some big names and results in her always having a chance in any contest she enters.

NDm0xuv.gif

Fukigen Death

22 Years Wrestling Experience. Catchphrase: “Death!”

A veteran who offers experience, comic relief and surprisingly quick wrestling matches, Death is an asset to the roster who similarly to Saki, can play spoiler in tournaments or multi person tags.

1pTvTRo.gif

Ruaka

5 Years Wrestling Experience.

A teenager who’s starting to come into her own after a slower start then other worker. She is starting to carve her own spot on the roster as a powerhouse on the roster.</details>

Founded by Io Shirai, Queen's Quest is created on the foundation of working the hardest to be the best wrestlers in the company. Rocked by Momo Watanabe’s betrayal the group are seeking to get revenge on Momo and re-establish their place within STARDOM.

Utami Hayashishita

3 Years Wrestling Experience.

Utami has gone from super rookie to world of STARDOM champion in her first 3 years in the company. She can be divisive in terms of the amount of belts she has won / her position on the card but there can be no denying that she was a successful red belt champion and will continue to improve as she is only 23 years old.

nvlYivv.gif

AZM

8 Years Wrestling Experience. Nicknames: “High Speed Bomb Girl”, “QQ Commander”

AZM is a prodigy who is truly a once in a generation star. From bratty teen to pure babyface, AZM somehow has consistently improves and is currently on track to be the crown jewel in the STARDOM crown. She wrestles at a lightning quick speed and continues to elevate all around her.

D2OtvGt.gif

Saya Kamitani

2 Years Wrestling Experience. Nicknames: “Golden Phoenix” “Dome Girl” “The Spoiler”

Another part of the STARDOM golden generation, Saya’s has some of the flashiest high flying moves in women’s wrestling, her Phoenix splash is a thing of beauty.

Lady C

1 Year Wrestling Experience. Nicknames: “177” (Reference to her height 177cm)

The tallest woman in Japanese joshi wrestling has a unique charisma that was able to blend into every unit before she found QQ. After a rough start where Lady C was booked to lose for months (as tradition for rookies) she is starting to come out of her shell and has a cool looking chokeslam. </details>

In an attempt to step out of Mayu Iwatani’s shadow, Tam Nakano left STARS and formed her own unit called Cosmic Angels. The faction is full of colourful wrestlers and whilst they sometimes seem to act like they are on another planet, they are working hard to build up each other’s skill sets, to compete with the other factions.

KNAZRbA.gif

Tam Nakano

5 Years Wrestling Experience. Nicknames: “The cutest idol wrestler in the universe” "Kagayaku Sutādamu Dorīmu" ("Shining Stardom Dream")

It’s impossible to put into words how layered Tam Nakano’s character is, the way Tam is able to put emotion and meaning into her matches is like no other. Going from Oedo Tai, to STARS to creating Cosmic Angels, Tam has shown great range in her character, and told some brilliant stories.

LJNROkm.gif

Unagi Sayaka

2 Years Wrestling Experience. Nicknames: “The Assessor” “The Freak that Flies Thru Space”

Unagi has been over pushed since her debut but she is another wrestler who has worked hard and improved rapidly to the point where she feels like a legitimate competitor in STARDOM. Whilst 2 white belt matches in short succession hasn’t helped her perceived over pushed, she is a unique, loud individual and has a fun character.

8qwSjFm.gif

Mina Shirakawa

3 Years Wrestling Experience. Nickname: “ The Powerbomb to your heart”

Mina is a very good looking lady, and she knows it. She shows off her body to please the crowd and to sometimes trick her opponents but she is similar to Unagi in that she has improved dramatically since signing with STARDOM.

CJiqsxE.gif

Waka Tsukiyama

1 Year Wrestling Experience

Waka speaks good English and has a special talent of endearing herself to crowds very quickly. Whilst she struggles to keep up with Cosmic Angels dance routines, she has shown signs of growth in the ring.

b6IHiKY.gif

Mai Sakurai

1 Year Wrestling Experience

Being in Tam’s faction is the perfect spot for Mai, as whilst she is very nervous and new in the ring, she shows signs of improvement when she is in multi person matches, especially when teamed with Tam. </details>

The Japanese deathmatch freelancers have arrived after leaving their main promotion Ice Ribbon and are looking to start a war with DDM. Whilst it is unclear whether they are only here for a quick stop, or to take over the company, they have certainly shaken up the whole STARDOM landscape heading into 2022.

6 tour shows will build up to 12 Pay Per Views.

Whilst this goes against Stardom’s fluid approach to both house shows and PPVs,

This will hopefully allow me to avoid burnout and provide a better flow for the diary.

The PPV calendar is shown below:

uZKhyMn.png?1

- I have reverted back to the original formats for the Cinderella & 5 Star Grand Prix as

the changes made in real life aren't as good as they used to be.

- I have overhauled the Goddesses of Stardom cup like in my old diary

as I think this is a better format than the confusing real life one.

- PPVs without an explanation attached are simply regular PPVs.

I know nothing about Japanese women's wrestling but I will be checking this out just for the amount of work you must have put into this and the awesome presentation.

I especially like what you did with the stables. Where you gave each stable a little summary and then if you click on the tab (For lack of a better word), you get a nice mini-bio of each worker in their respective stables.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks everyone! So excited for this! Aiming for the first event preview to be put up this weekend, then a regular posting pattern of 6 tour shows during the week and then the PPV posted on each weekend.

Missed your previous one, but I'm here for this one. Appreciate the shout out and wishing you good luck!

Thanks DarK_RaideR! I just felt a bit guilty if you stumbled across this and saw tours posted very similar to yours! Your style looks perfect for building up the big events!

Glad you're back. I'm sure it's gonna be another great one.

Good luck.

Thank you Mokoa! really appreciate the kind words, I hope to keep the good stuff from my last diary but clean up other areas!

Amazing thanks BHK1978! It took too many hours then I care to admit aha, especially as it was a spur of the moment decision the day before!

This looks really good! Looking forward to reading it and learning more about it.

Thanks SHaynes23! I will have to take a proper look at your diary, as I did have a quick look over and it looks really fun!

best of luck with this, always good to see more Joshi on the boards!

Thanks PuroJoshi! Yes we must fly the flag of Joshi high aha! I was refreshing for over a year for a long term STARDOM diary but seeing as no-one has had a go, I thought I better have another go!

Lovely presentation. So basically, you replaced the generic "Road to" shows as house shows in TEW mechanics but kept the tournament ones? So you just book events? That's interesting. I've been booking 1998 New Japan, just ended year 2 and I agree that having all those tour shows takes a lot of time.

Because of the awesome reception to this, I'm planning a predictions contest but will post details on the first post / in a separate post, on Saturday along with the February PPV card!

Good luck with this mate. It was fun the first time around so can't wait to see what you have got here.

Thanks mate! I really do appreciate your advice! I see your showing some love for GCW atm which is awesome!

Cheers TheCed! Really do appreciate it!

Good spot! I'll change the wording to tour shows. I got the words mixed up!

The format I think I've decided on is to release the PPV predictions card at the start of the week, then post 6 tour shows between Monday and Friday irl, recapping what happened on the minor shows leading up to the PPV, which will be posted on Saturday.

The PPV will have a recap of how the match came about, pre match promos from both sides, quick overview of the match, then the classic winners and losers with performance grades:)

The minor shows in the actual game are events with "tour intent" :)

1998 sounds sweet! It definitely feels good to fly through events rather than slogging through for example tour day number 7 with a huge roster to manage!

Sorry for the ramble, I'm just very excited aha

I'll be following your dynasty as I'm a huge fan of Japanese wrestling so my knowledge about joshis is basic but I can't wait to improve it.

So it's gonna be 6 tours between each major event, right? I usually auto-book them with the old school puro AI product setting. I got a 70 active wrestlers roster as I wanna have proper tag team and junior divisions so at times I have like 10 "road to" shows to book but as I auto-book them it goes much faster. I don't really do any angles. And I wan't my wrestlers to improve as much as possible which is why I got so many tour shows.

Do you think you'll increase the amount of tour shows as your roster does?

I'm glad to here you'll give this diary a chance, hopefully I'll be able to tell some fun stories! Me too, Japanese wrestling is my favorite as you can see workers progress and work their way up the card!

Ahh your logic for that many tour shows makes sense! I'm scared of having a roster over 50 and I'm a control freak so I don't trust the autobooker lol

Yep, spot on, 6 tours and a major event posted on the forum each week (which will represent 1 in game month). I don't think I'll be increasing this as I'm scared of burnout if I have too many, whereas I know I can manage 7 shows a week:)

Roster wise the additions will be the mystery women teased in real life (Hopefully Kairi Hojo!) 3 new wrestlers (1 each 6 months, chosen by prediction contest winners) and maybe a young lion to eat losses in year 2.

So 5 new wrestlers and probably 5 to 7 wrestlers leaving!

Thanks mate! I really do appreciate your advice! I see your showing some love for GCW atm which is awesome!

Just like you, i thought of having a second run at GCW so appreciate your excitement.

And any chance you could sign Rina Yamashita. I have seen her doing deathmatches in FREEDOM and GCW and she is awesome.

Sign Miyu Yamashita and have her and Syuri kick the piss out of each other. And Yuu and Hashimoto as the BIG GIRL tag team that beats everyone up.

Miyu is one of my favorites ... I had her winning the white belt in my last diary, Miyu Yamashita vs Momo Watanabe take all of my money, but I'm keeping signings light, so predictions contest winners will be able to decide!

I've heard of the other two but haven't watched too many matches, as I'm scared to fall down the joshi rabbit hole and have it consume my whole life, so I only really watch STARDOM aha

Good shout! I was debating Rina! My thinking was to have prominence run rough shot over the roster, until Bushiroad hires Rina Yamashita to stand up to them, then she goes rogue, but it'll be up to the prediction winners ! :)

Predictions Contest

Due to the awesome reception and engagement from you all, I’m going to be running 3 prediction contests throughout the diary.

vhPNrJl.jpg

  • 1st from February 2022 PPV until June 2022 PPV

  • 2nd from July 2022 PPV to December 2022 PPV

  • 3rd from January 2023 PPV to June PPV

Rules

  • To enter – simply make predictions for at least 2 PPVs during the 5 or 6 months in game period.

  • The winner will be the person with the highest percentage of matches guessed successfully.

  • Guess the show grade of the final PPV will be used to avoid the risk of a tie break.

    Prize

  • I will message the winner with their prize, of either picking a new signing from a list, or to push a wrestler already on the roster that they want to see be spotlighted.

PPV previews will go up Friday evenings UK Time, with PPV card posted 24 hours after the predictions are posted!
