EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) vs The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night) [1 Pts]

I'd like to see The Oklahomans in a more prominent role.

Open Challenge: Rob Reynolds (c) vs ??? in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title [1 Pts]ç

Al Coleman vs The Architect [1 Pts]

The American Cobras (c) vs The Big Guns for the LSW Tag Team titles [1 Pts]

We've seen other titles changing hands quickly but The American Cobras have to face more contenders before dropping the titles IMO

Kip Keenan vs Left Shot Bradford [1 Pts]

I've been waiting for this feud and it's been built really well so far. I think Bradford wins the first one.

Renegade Bradley Blaze vs Texas Hangman [1 Pts]

I think Bradley Blaze has a superior status in LSW, but The Strong Hand and The Most Wanted could change the outcome.

LSW Sundown Showdown 2021 Predictions

EBK def. The Oklahomans
Oklahomans are the young tag team there to take pins

LSW Brass Knuckles Open Challenge: Rob Reynolds (c) def. ???
Too soon to have Reynolds drop the title, he needs a few more defences under his belt

The Architect def. Al Coleman
IDK what it is about Al Coleman but I never really back him, but I do think Architect is higher on the card

LSW Tag Team: The American Cobras (c) def. The Big Guns
I don't see them losing on their first defence, particularly as The Inner Circle are still being built up as challengers

Kip Keenan def. Left Shot Bradford
I like Bradford and could see him winning here, but it definitely feels like Keenan is building a bit of a streak

Texas Hangman def. Renegade Bradley Blaze
Definitely feels like Texas Hangman is being built up, so it would make sense for him to win here

Will the confrontation between Cali Slick and Joffy Laine lead to a match right there at Sundown Showdown? No
Cali Slick bails for some reason or another just to mess with Laine and/or the audience

LSW Sundown Showdown 2021
Sunday, Week 2, June 2021
Held in West Texas Coliseum (Mid South) in front of 638 people
31,223 viewers on WrestleWorld

EBK (Bullseye, Waylon Walls) vs The Oklahomans (Jason Patterson, Jules Night)
In the opener, EBK collide with The Oklahomans in tag team action in a decent match. Trying to work the crowd and warming them up for later bouts, the duos follow the classic pattern of blustering heels who eventually get defeated by babyfaces after a hot tag. Unfortunately, Jason Patterson sustains a Broken Nose while having his comeback, but it is handled professionally and with a quick tag it is Jules Night who becomes the legal man, immediately hitting Bullseye with a Time For Bed and pinning him after eight minutes. Finally, The Oklahomans strike a good victory! [27]

The crew takes us backstage where there is some turmoil, with cameras arriving just in time to catch Texas Hangman grabbing Maverick Chip Martin around the neck, lifting him off the ground and hitting a Choke Slam over the catering table. A vicious man on a mission, "The Hangman" annihilates "The Maverick" who crashes into the furniture and screams in pain, and as several staff members and a few other familiar faces try to calm the situation, Texas Hangman leaves the scene. There is no time to have much context, but it would appear that Chip Martin was ambushed by the imposing big heavyweight. [24]

We head back to the West Texas Coliseum stage, where Rob Reynolds enters the ring ready to defend his LSW Brass Knuckles title in a second open challenge, following the first successful one against Cobra. This time, responding to the challenge is "The Grappler" Tavon Blake Jr, ready to take advantage of a big chance to stand out here in Lone Star Wrestling. Despite the competitive nature of the two, room also for some fair play as "The Motor City Menace" and "The Grappler" exchange a quick fist pump before the bell rings. [36]

xmonEZV.png
Rob Reynolds (c) vs Tavon Blake Jr in a No DQ Open Challenge match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title

In a decent match, Tavon Blake Jr tries to wear and tear the Brass Knuckles champ from the beginning with some grappling, taking him down on the mat and not letting him escape, taking advantage of the fact that no rope break can help "The Motor City Menace." Despite being a no DQ bout, the match sees zero weapons used and it revolves entirely around a wild and tough brawl inside the squared circle, from which Rob Reynolds emerges victorious after ten minutes, pinning the challenger after a Real Deal Rocker to make defense number two of the belt. [44]

Gathered in their locker room, The Most Wanted talk about the assault on poor Maverick Chip Martin carried out by Texas Hangman, which knocked the cocky rookie out for the evening. Cowboy Buck Winchester and Outlaw Wes Revell would like to focus on their championship rematch that's up next, however, asking Bradley Blaze to accompany them at ringside. "The Renegade," however, decides to stay safely in his own locker room, saying that he does not want to risk an assault by Texas Hangman and claiming that The Big Guns will certainly be able to reclaim the LSW Tag Team titles even without his support. All three workers improvise weel throughout the segment. [46]

TQS8hBT.png   TQS8hBT.png
The American Cobras (Malloy, Spillane) (c) vs The Big Guns (Winchester, Revell) for the LSW Tag Team titles

In a bout that has great wrestling and good heat, the two best tag teams in Lone Star Wrestling collide for the championship, The American Cobras get a tag team specialist bonus, while Outlaw Wes Revell turns out to be the weak link, struggling to keep up with everyone else's in-ring performance. A long match with some near falls and saves by the respective partners, but unlike other times Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane change strategy and attack from the first bars The Big Guns, forced a bit to chase. Anyway, after eighteen minutes Marvel Malloy manages to emerge unscathed from a Law Of The West attempt, and after knocking out Cowboy Buck Winchester, The American Cobras hit their signature move the Cobra Strike on Outlaw Wes Revell to score the pinfall and retain the LSW Tag Team championships! [56]

Immediately after the match, The American Cobras decide to take their belts and head backstage after seeing an angry Texas Hangman heading to the ring accompanied by Cobra. The Executors of The Strong Hand have The Big Guns in their sights and begin to beatdown on the former tag champs, who defend themselves as best they can but are eventually forced to perish. Texas Hangman finally punishes both with a Choke Slam each on the railings that should have knocked them out for the evening. [42]

Al Coleman vs The Architect
In a bout that has great wrestling and good heat, Al Coleman and The Architect have a match that revolves around several attempts to connect their signature submission move, the Ankle Brace for "Mr. Submission" and the Blueprint for the scheming heel. In an open bout, The Dreadnought at ringside manages to distract Al Coleman, paving the way for the decisive assault by The Architect who manages to connect the Blueprint after fourteen minutes, forcing the opponent to tap out. The match gets the crowd hotter. [52]

In a taped video, Miller Fforde's training with Johnny Martin, his new manager, is shown. Nothing so special, but certainly this segment is meant to focus on the fact that "The Fighting Underdog" wants to take Johnny Martin's sage advices and put them into practice in his upcoming matches, attempting to become a star here in Lone Star Wrestling. [32]

Kip Keenan vs Left Shot Bradford
Despite the tensions between the two, Kip Keenan still extends his hand to his former partner back in their Puerto Rico days as a sign of sportsmanship, but Left Shot Bradford slaps the hand away, making it clear that this will not be a friendly match. The bout turns out to have superb wrestling and great heat, and "The American Eagle" proves to be a great babyface, putting his opposing heel in trouble but eventually managing to find victory, quickly hitting Kip Keenan with a Dream Left Hook after twelve minutes and going for the decisive pinfall. Kip Keenan and Left Shot Bradford have pretty good chemistry and it lifts the match. [63]

We are getting closer to his match and Renegade Bradley Blaze is in a panic, now finding himself alone after Texas Hangman has knocked out all his allies in The Most Wanted faction. "The Renegade" finally finds the boss Ricky Dale Johnson and tries to convince him to banish "The Hangman" from the show after his ambushes of Maverick Chip Martin and The Big Guns. RDJ gets a laugh, however, reminding Bradley Blaze of all the ambushes made by Renegade Bradley Blaze and his "brigade" himself in the last year and a half, the most recent not even a month ago just against Texas Hangman in the Cage championship match. Ricky Dale Johnson dismisses "The Renegade" by wishing him good luck in his match tonight, adding that he will really need it given the wrath of Texas Hangman. [54]

In a segment inside the squared circle. "The Masterpiece" Raphael takes the spotlight by confirming and "making official" his alliance with The Canadian Blones, Ozzie Goldstein and Flash Savage, following their collaborations in the previous months. Raphael also names the new faction after the beauty and grace of the three members, they are THE FIRST IMPRESSION! And everybody knows that it's the only one that counts! "The Masterpiece" further adds that they will be ready to wipe out any ugly face here in Mid South, claiming that no one is pretty and deadly like them ... But someone disagrees with that! A pretty face suddenly appears on the stage, beautiful as ever and most likely deadlier than The First Impression: "PLATINUM" JAMES PRUDENCE IS HERE! Well known nationally, the handsome man silences Raphael and The Canadian Blondes, who realize they now have a solid competitor in front of them that they certainly cannot belittle as they did with the majority of the wrestlers here in LSW. [31]

Renegade Bradley Blaze vs Texas Hangman
It's payback time for Texas Hangman, who twice had his chance to become Texas Heavyweight champ blown away by Bradley Blaze and his ambushes. "The Renegade" cleverly manages to escape the wrath of "The Hangman," continuing to recoil at ringside to avoid the confrontation, but eventually a bit of obstruction by Travis Century, who does some good work at ringside, and Cobra at ringside allow Texas Hangman to grab Bradley Blaze and bring him into the ring, beginning to hard beatdown. In a bout that has great heat and decent wrestling, Renegade Bradley Blaze also manages to fight back and eventually tries a Dallas Drop on his opponent, who however also thanks to a Travis Century distraction manages to get out of the maneuver, grabbing the rival by the neck and hitting him with a Choke Slam. Still not satisfied, Texas Hangman lifts Bradley Blaze straight up by the neck and lifts him up for a second devastating Choke Slam! 1 .. 2 .. 3! Texas Hangman defeats Renegade Bradley Blaze by pinfall in nine minutes, taking his revenge. [46]

Still LSW Tag Team champs, The American Cobras are happily walking backstage when they are confronted by Ernest Youngman, one half of the next No. One Contenders at their titles. Accompanied by Venus Angeletti like always, "The Assassin" tells Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane to keep those championships hot for him, claiming that he might even beat them alone in a two-on-one. Storm Spillane responds by goading Ernest Youngman, suggesting that he try it right here right now since he is alone against both of them. Suddenly, however, as if he's been waiting for nothing else, Prime Time Jack Pryde steps into the skirmish, flanking Ernest Youngman and telling The American Cobras that "The Assassin" is not alone! Ernest Youngman "thanks" Jack Pryde for his unsolicited support, pushing him behind his back and addressing The American Cobras directly, saying that he and "Hollywood" Jake Idol, not present today, will be taking away the LSW Tag team titles pretty soon, officially challenging them for their tag team match at LSW Gold Rush, two months from now! [45]

And finally, Cali Slick walks out alongside his agent Vinny Cruz and the security guy called Big Smash Clay, a 6'5 and 307 lbs trained at Piledriver School Of Wrestling who also had a football background. "The Draw" is superb working without a script, calling out Joffy Laine who quickly answers the call, joining the handful of heels inside the squared circle. Cali Slick says he has put Rayne Man, a loser who has slowed him down far too much here in Lone Star Wrestling, behind him, by getting down to business and challenging Joffy Laine right here right now for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title! "The Jackhammer" teases his potential opponent a bit, also playing with Vinny Cruz and the big security guy, before recalling how he's already survived Bradley Blaze and Texas Hangman more than once; the champ is the home idol, "The REAL Draw" in here, and he will never back down from a challenge! Therefore, Joffy Laine decides to give a gift to the fans in attendance, and to Cali Slick himself, by accepting the challenge! [51]

Hl1JXzc.png
Joffy Laine (c) vs Cali Slick for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title

It all happens fairly quickly, referee Clinton Edwards rushes to the ring, while Joffy Laine unfastens his title belt and Cali Slick removes sunglasses and golden chain. We got a championship match, ring the bell! In a bout that has superb wrestling and great heat Joffy Laine finds himself after thirteen minutes with his back against the wall, as Big Smash Clay just hits him on the apron, while Vinny Cruz is distracting the referee on the other side. Everything is ready for Cali Slick's Slick-Back that would surely mean victory of the match and the Texas Heavyweight title, BUT UNEXPECTEDLY A BLACKOUT BRINGS DARKNESS!!! Only after several seconds the lights come back on, Cali Slick tries to connect his signature but Joffy Laine has had a chance to recover and anticipates him with a small package. The count only gets to two, but as soon as the two competitors get back up Joffy Laine manages to anticipate Cali Slick again with his DEATH SPIRAL! 1 .. 2 .. 3 !! And just like this, Joffy Laine makes defense number four of the LSW Texas Heavyweight title. [58]

That was a good show- I feel like a bit of a roster recap or something would be great coming up on August, though, I'm starting to get confused as to whose where and how it all fits together. Also, are you using a face/heel divide and how strong is it? Sometimes it feels very defined other times I can't figure out what alignment people are (that's probably more my problem than yours but I'd be interested in finding out anyway)

I'm using loosely enforced, but I'll say 80-90% of the time matches are classic babyfaces vs heels. In this particular event, the exceptions were Bradley Blaze vs Texas Hangman as they were feuding in a manage-a-trois with Joffy Laine, and the Open Challenge for the Brass Knuckles title.

Total Wrestling News: The Growth Of LSW

In recent months Lone Star Wrestling has gone from being a tiny promotion to becoming a successful indie company thanks to some good ol' southern wrestling product, a solid booking from Ricky Dale Johnson and his agents, and obviously thanks to its talented roster. LSW has also recently made a number of upgrades to its production, with the goal of becoming an increasingly relevant player in the North America, and in addition to the well known "Platinum" James Prudence other big names in the scene may soon appear in LSW. Some speculate that RDJ wants to expand the promotion to other South territories as well, but for now these are pretty much just chatter.

Preview for LSW Summer Stampede 2021

The Hot Taggs (Kalder Tagg, Wolfie Tagg) vs The Heartbreak Express (Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta)
The young muscular brothers from Montana, Kalder and Wolfie Tagg, are back in Mid South territory after a loss in their first match here in LSW back in April 2021. Their opponents will be Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta, the very people who defeated The Hot Taggs in their debut. The Heartbreak Express were without their valet Sweet Tabitha, on maternity leave, but they certainly did not lose their drive and desire to triumph, attempting to overcome physical inferiority and imposing themselves over Kalder and Wolfie.

xmonEZV.png
Rob Reynolds Open Challenge for the LSW Brass Knuckles title
After two good results in the first couple of title defences, the open challenge for the LSW Brass Knuckles championship will take place also at the Summer Stampede. "The Motor City Menace, Rob Reynolds, who defeated Cobra and Tavon Blake Jr previously, is looking for square up against a tough challenger under brass knuckles rules, in a No Disqualification match.

Miller Fforde vs Left Shot Bradford
Managed by the veteran Johnny Martin, "The Fighting Underdog" Miller Fforde will attempt to upset the odds and defeat Left Shot Bradford, one of the most fearsome wrestlers in the entire promotion. Always dangerous, always lethal, Left Shot Bradford is basically a Dream Left Hook away from victory every time. Miller Fforde will have to do his best, putting on a great performance and managing to avoid the “left shot” of his opponent, only then can he have a chance to triumph. And talking about Bradford, if he keeps this hot momentum it's only a matter of time before RDJ gives him a title shot at the Texas Heavyweight championship.

The Hive (Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman) vs The War Engine (The Architect, The Dreadnought)
In a rematch from Mid South Tag Series, Quentin Queen and Remmy Honeyman will have a chance to face The War Engine again, this time trying to bring home a positive outcome. The Hive said he was ready to sting The Dreadnought, wearing down the behemoth and working together to take him down, then focusing on The Architect. The scheming villain, however, should by no means be underestimated, and the goal of overcoming The Dreadnought is certainly not an easy task either. It will be quite a tag team bout, which duo will walk out the Stampede with a W?

Cali Slick vs Al Coleman
Accomplice to a blackout inside the West Texas Coliseum about which there is still no clarity, Cali Slick failed in his attempt to become the LSW Texas Heavyweight champ when he lost to Joffy Laine at Sundown Showdown. Surely the Californian and his entourage will check in with Ricky Dale Johnson about that, but in the meantime "The Draw" would do well to focus on his next opponent, also straight from the West Coast, "Mr. Submission" Al Coleman. A one-on-one of absolute caliber that will be take place here in the Mid South!

James Prudence vs Raphael
Ricky Dale Johnson defined him as the biggest sign in Lone Star Wrestling to date, and it is hard to disagree. James Prudence is a star in this business and has all the tools; the charisma abd the look, the skills in the ring, the physical abilities despite hitting his forties. "Platinum" showed up at Sundown Showdown, interrupting "The Masterpiece" Raphael and immediately coming to an inevitable showdown between two pretty faces who know how to impose themselves in the squared circle. Raphael recently said how James Prudence is nothing but an old glory in decline, a star now extinguished, and at the Stampede he will defeat him and send him into oblivion. There's only one pretty and deadly superstar, and that superstar is HIM! "The Masterpiece.”

Hl1JXzc.png
Joffy Laine (c) vs Texas Hangman for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title

After finally getting Renegade Bradley Blaze off his back by defeating him in a one versus one match and knocking out all the other members of The Most Wanted as well, Texas Hangman will finally be able to take advantage of a hard-earned title shot for the Texas Heavyeight championship. The task is indeed daunting for the champ Joffy Laine, but if we have learned one thing in this year and a half of LSW it is the fact that "The Jackhammer" never backs down from a challenge and is capable of overcoming adversity. It will be a great main event, a pillar in the history of promotion. Will it also be the night when Texas Hangman becomes the champion? Or will it be the night when Joffy Laine cements his reign?

LSW Summer Stampede 2021
Sunday, Week 1, July 2021
Held in Corpus Christi, TX (Mid South) in front of 774 people
32,001 viewers on WrestleWorld

The Hot Taggs (Kalder Tagg, Wolfie Tagg) vs The Heartbreak Express (Johnny Needham, Ralph Liotta)
In a bad match rookies Wolfie and Kalder Tagg take on Johnny Needham and Ralph Liotta, as the babyfaces are able to get out with the W after hitting Wolfie Tagg with The Score after seven minutes of action. The announcing quality lifts the match and the performers have been able to work the crowd and get them ready for the upcoming matches. [37]

We're heading backstage where Ricky Dale Johnson, accompanied by his assistant Mya Catalan, is joined by Left Shot Bradford, who was called by the boss for a meeting. Left Shot asks what it is about and RDJ gives him very good news. Next month it will be Gold Rush time, with the return of the Gold Rush match! This year, the boss has decided that the Six Way match will be directly for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title; the champ will enter with the gold and will face five hungry contenders, and the first competitor to score a pinfall or submission will be declared the winner of the match and Texas Heavyweight champ. Acknowledging Left Shot's great merits and his form, RDJ shakes his wrestler's hand and confirms that he will be part of the match. Left Shot quietly thanks RDJ, saying he is satisfied that he is finally being recognized for his merits and saying he is sure to come out of the Gold Rush match as the new champ. [61]

For the third time, Rob Reynolds reaches the ring and issues an open challenge for his Brass Knuckles title, and this time answering the call is Prime Time Jack Pryde! Greeted by boos from the audience, the cocky rookie says he's accepting the challenge to win the championship gold, just as his "buddies" from The Inner Circle will do with the LSW Tag Team titles really soon. Before entering the squared circle, Jack Pryde takes a chair behind the railings, trying to take an advantage over “The Motor City Menace”. [41]

xmonEZV.png
Rob Reynolds (c) vs Prime Time Jack Pryde In a No DQ Open Challenge match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title
Challenged in the early stages by the champion's hard kicks, Jack Pryde reverses the fortunes of the match by managing to hit his opponent several times with the steel chair, targeting his back. In a poor match, after around nine minutes Rob Reynolds manages to break the defenses of "Prime Time" by hitting him with his own wrench on the skull, paving the way for his Real Deal Rocker before pinning his contender. Rob Reynolds makes defense number three of the LSW Brass Knuckles title. [42]

A graphic officiates the LSW Tag Team titles match between champs The American Cobras and the No. One Contenders Ernest Youngman and "Hollywood" Jake Idol, set for the next event of the promotion, next month at LSW Gold Rush 2021. [28]

Miller Fforde vs Left Shot Bradford
After finding out earlier on that he was chosen as a contender for the Gold Rush match, Left Shot Bradford is ready for his singles match against Miller Fforde, accompanied by his new manager Johnny Martin, and what a chance this is for "The Fighting Underdog"! A win against one of the top stars in LSW could hand him access to the Gold Rush match. In a decent match, Miller Fforde gives everything he has, but eventually he is defeated by his opponent, who after about ten minutes hits "The Fighting Underdog" with a Dream Left Hook, breaking his fighting spirit. The two competitors don't seem to click and it made for an awkward bout. [47] After the match, Left Shot Bradford decides to teach Miller Fforde a lesson, perhaps too much swagger during the bout, by starting to pound him on the mat. Johnny Martin at ringside almost thinks about entering the ring, but eventually someone else comes running in to chase Left Shot Bradford off; he's Kip Keenan! "The American Eagle" forces Left Shot to retreat to the ramp, saving Miller Fforde from serious beating. [32]

The Hive (Quentin Queen, Remmy Honeyman) vs The War Engine (The Architect, The Dreadnought)
In a Mid South Tag Series rematch that has decent wrestling but not much heat, The War Engine manage to avenge their previous defeat, defeating The Hive in eleven minutes when The Dreadnought pins Quentin Queen after his Dread Bomb. Another show of strength by the masked behemoth, complimented by The Architect, the scheming heel making his way here in the Mid South. [46]

We're heading backstage where a pensive Ernest Youngman, accompanied by Venus Angeletti, reunites with his longtime friend "Hollywood" Jake Idol, informing him that Ricky Dale Johnson has offered him a spot in the Gold Rush match for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title! The opportunity is huge and "The Assassin" does not want to miss it, but informs Jake Idol that RDJ has forced him to make a choice: participate in the Gold Rush match or take part in the Tag Team titles match against The American Cobras. A surprised "Hollywood" Jake Idol turns dark in the face, believing that his title shot will go down the drain, but Ernest Youngman further informs him that the boss has still given him the option of being replaced in the tag team titles match with a competitor of their choice. "Hollywood" changes his expression a bit, slightly soothed, then asking "The Assassin" if he is also thinking of a certain person as his replacement, someone who is part of their "Inner Circle." Ernest Youngman nods, promising that he will call this person soon to make sure he can take his place, then saying he is sure that at LSW Gold Rush 2021 the entire Inner Circle will be covered in gold. [67]

Cali Slick vs Al Coleman
In a decent match the two Californian competitors square up in a open match, and for the second time a short blackout in the building takes place during a Cali Slick bout. “The Draw” gets distracted by it and ends up being locked in the Ankle Brace, the submission hold by “Mr. Submission”, seconds away from tapping out. Unfortunately, Al Coleman gets robbed as the security guy Big Smash Clay distracts the referee by standing on the apron, while Vinny Cruz passes the golden chain to his client Cali Slick, able to hit his opponent on the head with the illegal object and breaking the hold, before winning the match with a Slick-Back in around twelve minutes. [51]

Cali Slick is furious though, saying that what happened during his title match against Joffy Laine AND again few minutes ago is unacceptable! This blackouts .. It seems like someone is plotting against “The Draw” backstage. The boss Ricky Dale Johnson walks out, trying to calm down his talent by saying that he’s investigating to find out more about these couple of blackouts, and will take care of it. However, RDJ knows damn well how to make Cali Slick happier by announcing that, also following the aftermath of his title match, Cali Slick will be part of the Gold Rush match for the Texas Heavyweight championship! “The Draw” immediately change expression and starts smiling, claiming that RDJ did the right thing by putting him in the Gold Rush match. Both Cali Slick and Ricky Dale Johnson clearly enjoy having the freedom to go off-script and performed well. [68]

James Prudence vs Raphael
The biggest sign in Lone Star Wrestling so far, nationally well known “Platinum” James Prudence makes his debut in singles action against a competitor more similar to him than James Prudence himself would probably like to admit, “The Masterpiece” Raphael. In a bout that has good heat and decent wrestling, Raphael gets close to steal a win, thanks also to Ozzie Goldstein and Flash Savage distractions at ringside, but eventually he is forced to tap after fourteen minutes, when James Prudence locks him in the Prudential Pain Plan. “Platinum” is still pretty rusty and it shows in the match, but that will soon go away once he’s got a few more bouts under his belt. [54]

Before the main event, we are once again backstage where Ricky Dale Johnson and his assistant Mya Catalan are talking to Kip Keenan. Suddenly, Left Shot Bradford bursts on the scene, rather miffed at Kip Keenan who earlier on made the safe on Miller Fforde, the victim of a beatdown courtesy of Left Shot himself. The vicious heel almost demands another match against "The American Eagle" to break his jaw, and Ricky Dale Johnson admits he has already thought about it. In fact, Left Shot will have a chance to clash with Kip Keenan as early as next month, as "The American Eagle" will be part of the Gold Rush match for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title! A smiling Kip Keenan goes face-to-face with Left Shot, telling him that apparently their paths will cross again very soon, while Bradford teams him with a menacing look. This brings the number of participants already announced for the Six Way Gold Rush match to four: Left Shot Bradford, Ernest Youngman, Cali Slick, and Kip Keenan! [57]

Joffy Laine (c) vs Texas Hangman for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title

It's the Judgement Day for Joffy Laine's title reign, the menacing Texas Hangman is ready to unleash all his fury to snatch the championship from him, and this time willy-nilly The Most Wanted are not around here to save "The Jackhammer." In a decent main event, Texas Hangman leads the match while Joffy Laine has to suffer, drawing all the sympathies of the crowd to him and finally managing to create a good comeback, making it all the way to the Death Spiral: 1 ... 2 .. KICKOUT!!! Texas Hangman is a tough nut to crack, and not even the champion's signature move is enough. The minutes pass, Joffy Laine's momentum dies down as Texas Hangman lays him out with a Big Boot, then preparing for his own finisher, while Travis Century hypes him up at ringside: CHOKE SLAM! AVOIDED! Texas Hangman grabs the champ around the neck once again, who manages to break the claw once more, however, before incredibly hitting the Death Spiral on "The Hangman" for the second time: 1 ... 2 .. 3!! Travis Century is shocked, and likes him Joffy Laine himself ... THE CHAMP RETAINS CLEAN! [56] After the match, Joffy Laine takes some time to celebrate with the 700+ fans in attendance here in Corpus Christi, raising his LSW Texas Heavyweight championship high, knowing that he probably just had the toughest title defence of his reign and one of the toughest match of his career. “The Jackhammer” keeps smiling as he should, but there’s already a new huge challenge ahead of him, a Six way Gold Rush match for the championship! [59]

Good show. The Inner Circle is growing in numbers and if they add another good wrestler they'll be a force in LSW.

The Six Way Gold Rush match has the potential to be an excellent match and if I'm right there's still one participant to be announced. I like that Texan Joffy retained because your roster is full of heels and a babyface champion has more suitable opponents right now. Kip Keenan was a great signing to balance the roster.

I was writing that "I guess "Platinum" James Prudence will be a face in LSW as well" when I realized that you posted a roster review recently and Prudence was in the babyfaces review. LOL.

Total Wrestling News: USPW Raided Mid South

The #1 promotion in the world recently signed multiple talents from the indie scene, ready to make them the superstars of tomorrow. This raid affected Lone Star Wrestling the most, which lost as many as four important wrestlers; the current LSW Texas Heavyweight champ Joffy Laine, "The Assassin" Ernest Youngman, Cowboy Buck Winchester and The Architect. Having signed exclusive written contracts, these four talents may still be featured in LSW upcoming event for one last time.
