What a great opening match. I wasn't expecting something like that from The Empire.

Yeah what can I say, The American Cobras are just insanely good in this game lol Antonio Del Veccio is also a very good performer, while Brutus Milano has been the weak link in-ring wise.

I think this version of The Most Wanted are miles away from the originals in terms of... everything? but on the other hand I like that you try to maintain a very successful act like The Most Wanted in LSW despite the original members leaving the company. I hope they just don't finish like last versions of NWO or similar cases.

100% The OG Most Wanted were so much cooler and better, but I kinda like the idea of having a "brigade" of southern' mfs that is carried on despite changes at the top, rather like a gang of outlaws in the Wild West. Also, soon some other changes will happen in the group so stay tuned ;) best way to look at that faction rn is a midcard stable that could be useful in different situations!

Preview for LSW Desperados 2022

Davis Wayne Newton vs Rob Reynolds
The opener of the night should be a rematch between two former Brass Knuckles champs, as Davis Wayne Newton made his big debut right against "The Motor City Menace," defeating Rob Reynolds in a tainted victory to win the championship. Accompanied by Dreadnought and agent Laura Catherine Huggins, "Triple Threat" DWN will take on Rob Reynolds, this time in a one versus one bout under classic rules that has the flavor of payback between the two.

Southern Stinger (c) vs Outlaw Wes Revell in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title
The ownership offered a title shot for the Brass Knuckles championship to The Most Wanted faction, leaving it to the members of the brigade themselves to choose who should be the chosen one. It seems like OG member Outlaw Wes Revell snatched the opportunity, in which Cactus Jack Pryde also seemed very interested. Southern Stinger will cross paths with The Most Wanted just as he did at the beginning of his LSW adventure, when he still called himself Rayne Man, although the brigade is very different from early 2020. In this No DQ bout, who will come out on top?

The Hot Taggs (Kalder, Wolfie) vs Nonstop Action (Gray, Ferrera)
A brand new tag team is ready to show its worth here in the Mid South! In a promotion that makes old-school slower pace and psychology its key points, Tyrone Gray and Xavi Ferrera promise to bring an energetic pace and some "Nonstop Action" within the tag team division! Their opponents will be The Hot Taggs, two brawling siblings from Montana that would want to stop their opponent’s athleticism with their heavy shots.

Maliek Chamberlain vs Taheiji Konoe
"The Animal" from Japan, managed by "The Sheriff" Duke Hazzard, is continuing to unleash his savage brutality here in the Mid South. His next opponent who will try to stop his dreadful momentum is a debutant Maliek Chamberlain, promoted as a young talented wrestler with already some experience at the major companies level. Will Maliek be able to cage and defeat "The Animal" Taheiji Konoe?

Al Coleman vs Texas Hangman
Both having a brilliant 2022, both having carved out their spots as main eventers here in Lone Star Wrestling, albeit with very different paths. For the first time against each other in a match without a championship or trophy on the line, but one that will define quite a bit the rankings in LSW and affect their momentum entering a new year, "Mr. Submission" Al Coleman and Texas Hangman will clash one-on-one in must-see singles action.

The Dynamite Express (c) vs The Wild Cats for the LSW Tag Team titles
New champs The Dynamite Express were originally supposed to defend their title belts for the first time against The American Cobras, but a pretty bad injury to Storm Spillane that will force him to be out of action for some months changed plans. An opportunity lost for one tag team is an opportunity gained for another, and in this case Mexican babyface luchadores The Wild Cats were chosen as substitutes in this title match. El Jaguar and Tigre Salvaje Jr, current CILL tag team champions down in Mexico, will look to finish 2022 strong as double champs!

Kip Keenan (c) vs Shooter Sean Deeley for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
When "The Shooter" puts you in his sights, it's hard to escape him! Shooter Sean Deeley sent a message last month by becoming Vinny Cruz's new client and assaulting Kip Keenan after his match, aiming at the LSW Texas Heavyweight title. From there, agent Vinny Cruz's ability to pull the strings and Kip Keenan's own willingness not to run away from a challenge, but rather to face it without fear, led to making this singles bout for the title strap official. Arguably the best LSW Texas Heavyweight champ of these first three years of Lone Star Wrestling, will "The American Eagle" make it into 2023 still as the main man here in the Mid South?

LSW Desperados 2022
Sunday, Week 3, December 2022
Held in San Antonio, TX (Mid South) in front of 4,387 people
95,595 viewers on WrestleWorld

daviswaynenewton.png   robreynolds.png
Davis Wayne Newton vs Rob Reynolds
In a decent opening bout, Davis Wayne Newton goes against Rob Reynolds in a rematch between two former Brass Knuckles champs. Accompanied by Dreadnought and agent Laura Catherine Huggins, "Triple Threat" DWN is helped by their distraction and is able to hit “The Motor City Menace” with his Fisherman’s Suplex to win by pinfall in almost eleven minutes. Aiming to work the crowd, this match gets the show off to a strong start despite not having good chemistry when fighting each other. [53]

lsw-brassknuckles-stinger.png

southernstinger.png   outlawwesrevell.png
Southern Stinger (c) vs Outlaw Wes Revell in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title

In a match under brass knuckles rules that has good wrestling and decent reaction from the crowd, after ten minutes Southern Stinger is within striking distance of victory, but here come Maverick Chip Martin and Bandit Waylon Walls storming the champ in this No DQ match. Fortunately, here comes the cavalry as David Stone and Jared Johnson run in to counter The Most Wanted's interference, and “The Stinger” is able to score the victory over Outlaw Wes Revell after his signature move. [55]

After the match, Jack Pryde and Venus Angeletti calmly make their way to the ring, and Outlaw Wes Revell goes toe-to-toe with him, asking where the hell he was and why he didn't help him during the match! Maverick Chip Martin act as peacemaker, trying to motivate the brigade despite his young age, promising “The Outlaw” that they will not come out defeated next time and then turning to Cactus Jack Pryde, inviting him to completely let himself go and join their “Inner Circle” once and for all. Jack Pryde hugs his “dear” friend Chip Martin, then taking control of the microphone to say that it’s not Maverick Chip Martin who’s introducing him into his inner circle, but rather it’s Cactus Jack Pryde who admits “The Maverick” into his! WHAT?! Suddenly two figures storm from behind Outlaw Wes Revell and Bandit Waylon Walls: THE GONZALEZ FAMILY! Carlos and Marco blindside Wes Revell and Waylon Walls, leaving them down and out by following Jack Pryde’s orders, while “Cactus“ holds Maverick Chip Martin who watches the beatdown without reacting. Did we … Did we just see Jack Pryde taking control of The Most Wanted? [44]

kaldertagg.png wolfietagg.png   tyronegray.png xaviferrera.png
The Hot Taggs (Kalder, Wolfie) vs Nonstop Action (Gray, Ferrera)

Nonstop Action make their tag team debut as a high-energy duo with never-ending stamina and great athleticism, not finding much interest in the audience for their gimmicks. In a bout that has decent wrestling but doesn't have much heat, Tyrone Gray and Xavi Ferrera find the victory in eight minutes against The hot Taggs, when Xavi Ferrera pins Wolfie Tagg after a High Impact Frog Splash. Winning debut for Nonstop Action. [46]

For the first time in the role of backstage interviewer, a figure never featured so far in Lone Star Wrestling, lovely Sweet Tabitha interviews David Stone and Jared Johnson, as they reflect on the power plays within The Most Wanted after what happened previously, basically saying that they are not interested in their internal feud and are ready to kick anyone who is part of the heelish brigade from now on. After that, “Double J” and the Next Gen star David Stone also reflect on the importance of the upcoming fourth Texan Rumble that will be staged next month. [38]

maliekchamberlain.png   taheijikonoe.png
Maliek Chamberlain vs Taheiji Konoe

In a decent match, debuting Maliek Chamberlain gives Taheiji Konoe a run for his money, proving himself to be a talented young wrestler with experience in major companies, contrasting well with the ferocity of “The Animal.” However, to the delight of his manager at ringside, Taheiji Konoe finds the W in around six minutes with a Savage Cradle DDT. Match gets the crowd hotter. [48]

alcoleman.png   texashangman.png
Al Coleman vs Texas Hangman

In a good match, Al Coleman shows all his technical skills by managing to cage Texas Hangman and his physicality with several submission moves. However, in the long run “The Hangman” manages to build a good comeback supported by the San Antonio crowd and seems destined for victory. After nine minutes, Texas Hangman grabs his opponent around the neck to hit a Choke Slam, but “Mr. Submission” intentionally hits him with a kick to the groin: DQ! DQ! DQ! [57]

After the bell, Al Coleman attempts to injure Texas Hangman by locking the babyface in his Ankle Brace, perhaps to eliminate a big threat and one of the most menacing opponents ahead of the Texan Rumble, but “The Hangman” manages to break free from the hold of “Mr. Submission” who beats a retreat amid booing from the audience, avoiding a further physical confrontation after having made the big heavyweight go ballistic. [54]

In a promo on stage The American Cobras show up, with Marvel Malloy helping injured Storm Spillane, who shows up on crutches but with a rather positive expression. The American Cobras were supposed to wrestle for the LSW Tag Team titles tonight, but unfortunately a torn quad injury put Storm Spillane out of action. The latter himself updates fans on his condition, saying the surgery went well and he should be back in action around Spring 2024. Meanwhile, Storm Spillane says he is convinced that his partner and dear friend will do just fine without him, bidding on “Marvel” to win the Texan Rumble! [62]

lsw-tagteam.png lsw-tagteam.png

camjones.png sydcollier.png   eljaguar.png tigresalvajejr.png
The Dynamite Express (c) vs The Wild Cats for the LSW Tag Team titles

New champs The Dynamite Express are called to defend their title belts for the first time against The Wild Cats, two Mexican babyface luchadores who immediately put the champions in trouble. In a thirteen-minutes bout that has good wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, The Dynamite Express defeat The Wild Cats in their first title defense, when Syd Collier pins Tigre Salvaje after a Chop And Change. Showing once again excellent chemistry teaming together, Cam Jones and Syd Collier are on a roll in the tag team division. [60]

In an in-ring promo, James Prudence works the crowd well, using the freedom to improvise to his advantage. “Platinum” has now embraced his heel persona and draws quite a bit of heat to himself from the more than four thousand fans in attendance, going so far as to nominate himself to win the Texan Rumble and then get a new title shot at the LSW Texas Heavyweight championship, whoever the champion should be after tonight's main event. On his way out, James Prudence crosses Shooter Sean Deeley and Vinny Cruz on the ramp, as “The Shooter” is making is entrance for the upcoming main event. After a few seconds of staredown, “Platinum” returns backstage, while Sean Deeley arrives to the ring. [54]

lsw-texasheavyweight.png

kipkeenan.png   shooterseandeeley.png
Kip Keenan (c) vs Shooter Sean Deeley for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title
In a bout that has superb wrestling and good heat, Kip Keenan honorably defends his historical championship reign despite Sean Deeley being a wrestling machine capable of making the champ suffer. Vinny Cruz attends at ringside, and although he is a slimy individual, it is fair to point out how he never intervenes during the one-on-one. After a few late kickouts and dangerous submission attempts, “The American Eagle” seems ready to end the match with his One-Winged Eagle, but with an over-the-top technique “The Shooter” manages with a projection to bring the champ to the floor, locking in his arm and locking in his Death's Triangle! In the blink of an eye, Kip Keenan goes from having victory in hand to being strangled by Sean Deeley's lethal submission hold. The crowd cheers “The American Eagle” who does everything he can to get out of it, until he passes out! DIN DIN DIN! San Antonio is in shock, ladies and gentleman the winner by referee stoppage and NEEEEW LSW Texas Heavyweight champion ... Shooter Sean Deeley! [71]

Initially almost in disbelief at his client's actual victory, an enthusiastic grimace appears on the face of the weasel agent, Vinny Cruz, who closes the show by celebrating his phenomenal client, “The Real Draw,” and new Texas Heavyweight champion: SHOOTER SEAN DEELEY! The agent personally “crowns” the new champ, stowing the title strap around his waist. Mid South has a new sheriff, and he's an absolute menace of a wrestling machine! [64]

OVERALL RATING: 63

A solid show overall. I didn't expected the outcome but the Main Event was very good. Is difficult to see where the story goes from this point because I thought the next contender in line was Platinum, but now that he's a heel... will it be Texas Hangman? A bit of a concern is Jack Pryde taking control of The Most Wanted could be the lowest point for the stable, but let's see how it works...

Congrats @KyTeran for winning the 2022 Predictions Game! You dominate the rankings throughout the entire Season if I'm not wrong.

@Charasmatic Enigma finishes just a couple of points behind, while @newbiezness is 3rd with 68 Points. Obviously the top three will receive via DM their rewards, and 4th classified @DinoKea will receive it too! Thx guys for sticking with this diary from the very beginning and keep it alive ;)

Also thx to @kanegan, @alliegolem, @Herrbear, "missing" mr. @azzak and @CGN91 for taking part in this diary.

End Of The Year Recap - 2022

Year three is gone, and Lone Star Wrestling is flying in Mid South! Currently with $ 311,098 in the bank, despite having spent $ 250,000+ recently for the Rattlesnake Wrestling Academy, the company is in an excellent situation.

LSW passed MAW and is now ranked as 16th in the world, and it’s still a Small company. The next big step remains the same, become Medium by hitting 59 popularity in our home region. With +10 YoY the POP in Mid South is now at 51, while South West, Mid West and South East are now at 38 with a +12 in YoY comparison! Last year Lone Star Wrestling had a 15% of prestige and a 50% of momentum, now it’s 21% of prestige and 52% momentum.

The 2022 MVP Of The Company has been Kip Keenan, aka the best LSW Texas Heavyweight champion ever so far, with a record of 20 wins and 3 losses during this year. “The American Eagle” has been featured in eight (EIGHT!!!) of the Top 10 matches of the year for LSW. The 2022 Match Of The Year has been Kip Keenan versus Al Coleman for the LSW Texas Heavyweight title this September at LSW Thunderstrike that received an incredible rating of 75. As for The 2022 Event Of The Year, LSW Thunderstrike 2022 itself has been the best show with a rating of 68, while LSW Gold Rush 2022 has been the worst major event with a decent 55 rating.

Looking at the roster, Major Stars workers Kip Keenan and James Prudence lead the roster, with new Texas Heavyweight champ Shooter Sean Deeley, Al Coleman and Texas Hangman considered Stars. A well-balanced mix in the main event scene. Fan favourite Southern Stinger is one of the third Well Known singles competitors alongside Cali Slick and Jared Johnson. Naturally, among Recognisables we may find the majority of workers. As babyfaces we have David Stone, Maliek Chamberlain and Rob Reynolds, while on the heel side there’s Taheiji Konoe, Davis Wayne Newton and his ally Dreadnought, Cactus Jack Pryde, Quentin Queen, and Frantic Ali. Still Unimportant as singles competitors; Maverick Chip Martin, Vinny Cruz’s Security guard Big Smash Clay (*newgen), Miller Fforde, Tavon Blake Jr. Regarding the tag team division, The American Cobras are well-defined Stars, current champs The Dynamite Express are a Recognisable duo and the top heel tag team in the company. The Empire, The Wild Cats, The Oklahomans and The Gonzalez Family are recognisable too, while Nonstop Action and The Hot Taggs are still Unimportant. On-Screen Personalities and managers are top notch for a Small company, with Ricky Dale Johnson, Laura Catherine Huggins, Vinny Cruz, Travis Century, Venus Angeletti and Duke Hazzard who consistently help the ratings in which they are featured.

As for the CVerse, TCW won the 2022 Company Of The Year award for their second time in a row. El Mitico Jr was named the 2022 Wrestler Of The Year for his performances over the past twelve months, with an Average Rating of 92 and lots of incredible bouts, including the 2022 Match Of The Year versus Multimillonario at EILL El Dia Nacional De Lucha in September 2022. The 2022 Show Of The Year award headed to Japan as BHOTWG Best Of The Super Juniors XXIII received a 96 rating.

Thank you for the fantastic end of the year recap. I'm surprised that Kip Keenan has been so dominant and consistent in terms of performance, he's great but you have some other really good performers as well. LSW is growing steadily and now I'm curious, in what position is LSW in USA and World? The Rattle Snake Academy should be a fun feature for the diary and fresh stories should arise coming year 4. Overall this is undoubtedly one of the best TEW diaries I've read.

Great show to finish the year! A few surprises in the show, I wasn't expecting a title change - but I think Shooter Sean Deeley will do a great job as champion!

Enjoyed the recap, 2022 was a great year for LSW. Looks like at your current trajectory you should hit Medium towards the end of 2023?

Keep up the good work!

We are 16th in the world right now, 10th in USA. But we're costantly ahead of NYCW and PSW rating-wise so it would be cool to pass them at the end of the year ;)  Thx for the huge final compliments! Appreciate it man!

Yep, that's definitely main 2023 goal! Hitting Medium should allow better broadcaster deal, money, and an expansion all over Southern regions or even National!

Total Wrestling News: New Year's Turnover

Entering 2023, a couple of changes within the Lone Star Wrestling roster saw "The Outlaw" Wes Revell leave the Mid South to sign with major company TCW, as did many LSW alumni before him. Partly because of this, the rise of Cactus Jack Pryde as the new leader of The Most Wanted was very quick. Also coming out of LSW, "Mr. Submission" Al Coleman signed a lucrative exclusive written contract with CZCW. RDJ's promotion has also been operating inbound, however, signing a couple of excellent indie workers to exclusive written deals: "Hollywood" Jake Idol will indeed return to the Mid South after a few months' absence, following a stint at NYCW, while the second wrestler signed by Lone Star Wrestling is Sayeed Ali, a very interesting profile on whom LSW and its ownership seem to be betting heavily.

A couple out, a couple in, did LSW roster get better?

Preview for LSW Texan Rumble 2023

The Gonzalez Family (Carlos, Marco) vs David Stone, Jared Johnson
Becoming the new armed arms of Cactus Jack Pryde and The Most Wanted faction, Carlos and Marco Gonzalez will go up against the babyface duo of Jared Johnson and David Stone, who have certainly not established a good relationship with Jack Pryde in recent months. The arrogant Puerto Ricans have shown their ruthless violence by taking down Outlaw Wes Revell and Bandit Waylon Walls and making them disappear from the Mid South, will they be able to do the same with fan favorites "Double J" and the young Stone?

Southern Stinger (c) vs Maverick Martin in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title
And talking about The Most Wanted, Maverick Chip Martin will have a big chance entering 2023, clashing directly with fan favorite Southern Stinger, who last year put on a show in his title matches. In a bout under brass knuckles rules as is traditional with this championship on the line, will “The Maverick” be able to overturn the odds, perhaps aided by Cactus Jack Pryde and his other allies, or will “The Stinger” walk out once again with his red-leather custom title strap around his waist?

Also, one of the best young prospect in this business will make his debut in Lone Star Wrestling!

20-Man Texan Rumble
And in the main event twenty wrestlers will compete in the fourth Texan Rumble, with the winner of the match being able to choose to challenge anyone he wants here in Lone Star Wrestling, including champions for their title belts! As most of the competitors are still unknown in this over-the-top rope lottery battle royal, there’s a lot of hype and excitement around it. Who will be the only one left? Who will win the Rumble?

Key for Predictions:
Who will be the young prospect that will debut in LSW? [2 Pts]
The Gonzalez Family vs David Stone, Jared Johnson [1 Pts]
Southern Stinger (c) vs Maverick Martin in a No DQ match for the LSW Brass Knuckles title [1 Pts]

Who will have the most eliminations during the Texan Rumble? [2 Pts]
