I'd be careful about making threats you can't back up. I won't deny your recent run has been good, great even. But the thing is, I wouldn't call it PERFECT. So hang tight onto second best and focus on keeping hold of that because if you try chasing perfection you will suffer. With Revolution coming up, I think it's time you were reminded of your place. It's about time your timeless women's title run came to a perfect conclusion at the hands of a true virtuosa. (We're also going to beat up Danielson & Osprey for fun too)

Nobby_McDonald
ZERO HOUR OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND 'The Anaconda' Jack Perry (with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts) v 'All Ego' Ethan Page In a decent match, Perry defeated Page in 10:30 by pinfall with a Canadian Destroyer. 52 'CEO' Mercedes Moné v 'Native Beast' Nyla Rose In a decent match, Moné defeated Rose in 9:34 by submission with a Bank Statement. 60 Moné far out performed Rose 66-43 Kings of The Black Throne (with Julia Hart) v The Lucha Brothers (with Alex Abrahantes) In a great match with a decent crowd, Lucha Brothers beat Kings Of The Black Throne in 11:43 when Penta pinned King with an Assisted Fear Factor. 78 - match of the night Fénix out performed everyone else (86, Penta next best 76) REVOLUTION 2024 Sunday, week 1, March 2024 XL Center (Hartford Civic Center), Hartford, Connecticut (15,564 capacity) Live on pay per view and subscription channels Announcers: Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone versus AEW WORLD TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass (champions) v Mogul Embassy (with Prince Nana) Our opening contest is our first championship match of six tonight and it turned out to be a big come down from the quality of the final match of the Zero Hour pre show. The best team on the night got the win and the champions made defence number twelve of their titles. The end came in 9:14 when Max Caster pinned Toa Liona with a Mic Drop. 52 Bowens benefitted from public support. Caster benefitted from public support and being flavour of the month. Alex Marvez is in the backstage interview area with one of the challengers for Samoa Joe's World Championship, 'Hangman' Adam Page. Marvez asks Page for his thoughts going into the main event... Page says he wants back what he once had... the World Championship... and he's learned he will have to do whatever it takes to get it. 53 versus OWEN HART FOUNDATION WOMEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND 'The Professor' Serena Deeb v Anna Jay Disappointing given it was on pay per view, it would be the kind of TV match you might spend some of it flicking through your phone and looking up what labiaplasty means. Deeb is clearly the better wrestler and it showed in the match as she advanced to the Second Round in 10:02 by pinfall with a Spear. 47 Deeb benefitted by being in amazing form. Lexy Nair is backstage with World Championship challenger Swerve Strickland and his manager/associate Prince Nana. Lexy asks if Swerve is ready for tonight... Swerve says he is ready, he is more ready than he ever has been... he has worked his ass off for years and years to get to this point and he's not going to waste it now. 57 Strickland and Nana benefitted from a hot catchphrase. versus AEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 'Freshly Squeezed' Orange Cassidy (champion) v Roderick Strong (with Matt Taven, Mike Bennett & Wardlow) A considerable improvement on the first two matches on the main card, this saw some decent action. Cassidy had the better of the match, but Strong worked his way into it, partly thanks to distractions from Taven and Bennett at ringside and the looming presence of Wardlow. This led to him winning the International Championship in 11:46 by pinfall with a Sick Kick. 64 Cassidy and Strong don't click and the match was a little awkward. Cassidy benefitted from a hot new move. A video package plays showing the history between The Don Callis Family and Le Sex Gods. 44 versus STREET FIGHT The Don Callis Family (with Don Callis) v Le Sex Gods After a couple of minutes of wrestling, the match broke down into a wild brawl with a lot of weapons that went all round the inside of the main arena. The action went to the stage, where all four men were battling. Guevara ducked a charging Takeshita and drop kicked him off the stage and through a table below. Jericho then smashed Hobbs with not one, not two, but three chair shots. He and Guevara then got a table from backstage and put Hobbs on it. Guevara climbed up the gantry... and leapt off with a 450 splash... however he was clearly in pain following the move and was holding his forearm, which seriously hinded him for the remainder of the match. Jericho checked on his partner, which allowed first Takeshita and then Hobbs to recover... Leaving Guevara to be attended to by the medical team, Takeshita and Hobbs took Jericho back to the ring, beating him with weapons and hitting him with double team moves. Jericho was in a bad state... The fans are in shock as Konnan strides to the ring... and is not alone... Not only has he reunited Santana and Ortiz, he also seems to have recruited Rush and El Hijo del Vikingo. They slide in the ring as Callis, Takeshita and Hobbs now realise what Sammy Guevara's plan must have been. What must be a new LAX then attack The Don Callis Family, with Konnan attacking Callis himself, laying them to waste with some high impact moves and some hard hitting weapon shots. The win for Le Sex Gods becomes a formality in 12:57 when Jericho locks the Walls of Jericho on Takeshita, who passes out. 51 Guevara suffered an arm injury in the match. Konnan has debuted with a Gangsta gimmick, rated great. Takeshita benefitted from being flavour of the month. Chris Jericho celebrates in the ring... kind of... he gets his arm raised by Rick Knox but he doesn't really know what to make of Konnan and his new crew helping him out, especially two former Inner Circle members. Guevara has managed to make his way back to the ring, carrying his right arm awkwardly. Konnan hands out new LAX t-shirts to his new crew, who all put them on and raise their right arm in the ring... except Guevara who holds his new shirt up with his good left arm... while Jericho rolls out of the ring and walks up the ramp, looking back with a look of somewhat confusion. 56 A video plays showcasing the history between TNT champion Christian Cage, Daniel Garcia and the now injured Adam Copeland. 59 versus AEW TNT CHAMPIONSHIP 'The Patriarch' Christian Cage (champion, with Killswitch & Nick Wayne) v Daniel Garcia (with Matt Menard) Cage has been in fine fettle of late and he continued his strong performances tonight. Garcia wouldn't go down without a fight, kicking out of a number of Cage's signature moves before getting back into the match and starting to cause serious problems for the champion, who nearly lost the title a couple of times. With Garcia in control, Killswitch caused a distraction, which was enough for Cage to hit a low blow, followed up by a Killswitch to win in 13:50 by pinfall. Cage makes defence number three of the title. 64 Cage benefitted from being in amazing form. A video package plays showing the history between Blackpool Combat Club and FTR. 47 versus Blackpool Combat Club v FTR A really good match between a well established and two time former AEW Championship winning team and two individuals who are tough as nails and work very well together in the Blackpool Combat Club. This was as hard hitting as it was good on the mat. There wasn't much that was fancy, it was good quality, physical action. The BCC got the better of FTR in 18:02 when Castagnoli pinned Harwood with a Neutralizer. 72 A video package plays showcasing the Women's Championship match and the history between Toni Storm and Deonna Purrazzo. 42 versus AEW WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 'Timeless' Toni Storm (champion, with Luther & Mariah May) v 'The Virtuosa' Deonna Purrazzo These two have had quite a story over the past couple of month, and they finally settled it one on one at Revolution. Purrazzo wrestled a very good, calculated match and out wrestled the champion although couldn't put her away. Hence Storm kind of stole the win in 16:20 by pinfall with a Storm Zero. The win was clean though and the Timeless one made defence number four of her title. 66 Storm and Purrazzo have pretty good chemistry. Renee Paquette is backstage with the AEW World champion Samoa Joe... Renee asks Joe for his feelings going into tonight's championship main event... Joe says while it's a disgrace he has to face two challengers tonight... in the end it won't make a difference as he will kick two people's asses instead of one and walk out still the World champion... and he warns the mysterious masked man in the black hood that if he gets in the way, he'll get an ass kicking too. 71 versus 'American Dragon' Bryan Danielson v 'Switchblade' Jay White Interestingly and happily, The Gunns stay away from ringside for the entire match. Unexpectedly, the match, despite having decent wrestling, looked awkward. Also unexpectedly, Danielson lost. White got his biggest win of his AEW career in 16:53 by pinfall with a Blade Runner. 63 Danielson out performed White 64-53 Danielson and White just don't click at all. White benefitted from being flavour of the month. Footage plays of the history between the World Tag Team champions Darby Allin and Sting and their opponents tonight, The Young Bucks... 55 versus AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TORNADO MATCH Darby Allin & 'The Icon' Sting (champions, with 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair) v The EVPs ...except Matthew and Nicholas Jackson aren't introduced as The Young Bucks. Instead they are introduced as The EVPs. The match was crazy, with a lot of crazy dives, liberal use of chairs and ladders and even Sting dove off a ladder onto The EVPs. The craziest spot of the night though was when a pane of glass was laid across two rows of four chairs. Nicholas Jackson was laid onto the glass by Sting and Darby climbed a ladder in the ring... jumped off the top and through Nicholas and the glass with a crazy Swanton Bomb, taking them both out of the remainder of the match. This allowed Sting to end the match shortly after in 11:41 when he submitted Matthew Jackson with a Scorpion Deathlock. The champions make defence number two. 63 Allin out performed everyone else (70, next best Matthew and Nicholas 54) A hype video plays charting the storyline between MJF and Will Ospreay. 58 versus MJF v Will Ospreay Many people have been looking forward to this match, perhaps moreso this one than any other on the card. They didn't disappoint as they put on a superb show, MJF's performance in particular being outstanding. Yet the brash former World champion lost the bout as Ospreay prevailed in 20:22 by pinfall with a Hidden Blade. Ospreay's stock just keep rising and it's another AEW top level star he's defeated. 72 MJF out performed Ospreay 88-78 A montage plays showcasing the history of Samoe Joe, Adam Page and Swerve Strickland, as well as Joe's title defences since winning the World Championship. It's time for the big one... 52 versus versus AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP Samoa Joe (champion) v 'Hangman' Adam Page v Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) Some great action though it wasn't the high quality everybody really wanted and perhaps expected. As is usual with three way matches, there were times when each wrestler recovered at ringside and there were a lot of times when pins and submissions were broken up by the third man. The finish though was not typical of your usual three way match and had echoes of a recent edition of Dynamite. With all three men recovering on the mat, it probably didn't come as much of a surprise when a fourth man made his way to the ring... Yes, the man in black with a black mask showed up again... and again he carried two chairs down to the ring. He got into the ring and once more placed one chair in the middle of the ring. He then backed up into one corner still holding the other chair as the three competitors in the match slowly hauled themselves upright in each of the other corners. Adam Page wasted no time in grabbing the chair on the mat in the middle of the ring and first swung it at Joe, dropping him, before then doing the same to Strickland. The title looks like it is going back to the Hangman with both Joe and Strickland laid out. However... the man in black walked forward and smashed his chair over the head of Page, dropping him like a shot. Samoa Joe was the first to stir after the three chair shots, slowly crawled over to Adam Page, draped one arm across his chest and Mike Posey made the three count. Joe makes defence number three of the World Championship and all thanks to the msytery man in black. 67 A still dazed Joe is given the title belt by Mike Posey and he rolls out of the ring. Prince Nana is attending to a groggy Swerve Strickland and he slowly makes his way out of the ring. Adam Page slowly gets to his feet in the ring with the assistance of Posey and as he comes (somewhat) to, he looks at the mystery man in black stood in front of him. Page asks him "Why?" and the man drops the steel chair he was still holding... only to do an all too familiar kick to the gut... and followed up by a Stunner. The crowd are silent in disbelief as Page is again laying on the mat... surely not..? Sure enough, the man removes the hood and then the mask... Steve Austin has been the man in the hood under a mask! He is given a mic, he stands over the fallen Adam Page and simply says "Never trust a rattlesnake" as the fans are going ballistic, in a good way. 74 Show rating: 70 AEW gained popularity in 1 region. Nobby_McDonald
NEWS Sammy Guevara suffered a Broken Forearm at Revolution. He can work through the injury, though it will affect him for around two months. Malakai Black, Ethan Page, Powerhouse Hobbs, Nyla Rose and Bishop Kaun returned clean drug tests at Revolution. Steve Austin has been revealed as the mystery man in black and it can now be revealed he signed a 3 year contract with AEW. Bobby Gunns has won the wXw 16 Carat Gold tournament. Marius Al-Ani has won the GWF Light Heavyweight World Cup tournament. Nyla Rose has hit back on social media at people who have been body shaming about her size. Her posts have gained a massive surge of supportive posts from other users taking her side.

Nobby_McDonald
When I thought about having a mystery fourth man in the World Championship storyline, I was originally going to go with MJF. But then I found I could sign Steve Austin. Obviously he's not going to be able to wrestle and it's not in his usual character to be a mystery man like that, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity. And MJF out performing Ospreay so convincingly, yeah I didn't see that coming either... nor Kings Of The Black Throne v Lucha Brothers being match of the night on Zero Hour.

Nobby_McDonald
PRE SHOW Big Bill & Ricky Starks beat Top Flight in 10:24 when Bill pinned Darius with an East River Crossing. 62 DYNAMITE Wednesday, week 2, March 2024 Alaska Airlines Center, Anchorage, Alaska (5,000 capacity) Announcers: Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone We start the show with an angry 'Hangman' Adam Page in the ring. He says he is very pissed at what happened Sunday night at Revolution and if it's not Swerve Strickland stopping him from winning back the AEW World Championship, now it's Steve Austin... He calls Austin out to "sort it out like men"... Austin never backs down and sure enough, out he walks and he gets into the ring, never taking his eyes of Page... Page says he should kick Austin's ass right now... but for two reasons he won't... one is Austin is a legend and he respects him... two... it would be too easy... Austin comes back by saying that in his day, Hangman couldn't hold a candle to Stone Cold... but it's not his day any more... age and injuries have caught up with him and Austin says he can't fight like he used to... so if Hangman wants a fight with Austin, Austin says he will give him a fight at The Big Gamble, AEW's next pay per view where Page can fight Austin's hand picked opponent... Page agrees and demands to know who it is... Austin tells Page he's not learned a thing from Revolution... he's going to have to wait and see who it is like he did when Austin revealed himself at Revolution. 70 v AEW LEAGUE The Spooky Club ('The Icon' Sting (World Tag Team champion), Malakai Black & 'One In A Billion' Satnam Singh (with Sonjay Dutt)) v Timeless Ensemble (Darby Allin (World Tag Team champion), 'Absolute' Ricky Starks & 'The Patriarch' Christian Cage (TNT champion)) Interesting... the AEW World Tag Team champions against each other in AEW League action and they did have a minute or so when they squared off against each other and they did fight before tagging out. The match was decent and ended when Timeless Ensemble showed great teamwork in 6:51 and Starks pinned Singh with an Assisted Roshambo. 61 Sting seemed off his game. Singh performed far worse than anybody else (26, next worst Sting 50) Dutt did good work at ringside. Starks benefitted from being flavour of the month. Cage benefitted from being in amazing form. In the backstage interview area, Alex Marvez is with Jon Moxley... Marvez says Moxley asked for this time, so over to him... Moxley says he beat Joe last week in AEW League action... he's going to beat him again tonight in the AEW League... so Joe, if you have the balls... put the World Championship on the line on Collision this week. 55 v 'CEO' Mercedes Moné v Taya Valkyrie (with Johnny TV) A decent match that Moné dominated almost from bell to bell. The victory for her ended up being comfortable as she beat Valkyrie by submission in 10:41 with a Bank Statement. 65 Moné far out performed Valkyrie 75-44 Moné is getting better at her gimmick. In the AEW boardroom in Jacksonville, Tony Khan appears in a pre recorded segment. He says he has a big announcement about the next pay per view. It's The Big Gamble and it will feature two Big Gamble matches. These are four way matches when the World Championship and Women's World Championship are on the line... the champions will defend their titles against three challengers who each have to gamble something to enter the match... with the winner walking out the champion and whoever loses the fall loses either their gamble or the title. 50 v 'The Redeemer' Miro v Scorpio Sky A decent match between two former TNT champions where Sky put up a much tougher fight for Miro than some might have expected. Interesting, Miro's wife, CJ Perry came out to ringside. It's known she is looking for a client... but was she watching Sky or checking on her husband? Also, Tony Schiavone announced on commentary that Tony Khan has signed Samoa Joe versus Jon Moxley for the World Championship on Collision. Back in the ring, Miro ended this contest in 8:53 by submission with a Game Over. 54 Backstage and Lexy Nair is conducting her AEW League report with the team not in action... this time it's the turn of Team WooItsNathan. Kip Sabian says there isn't much to say... Anna Jay says it's dreadful that 15 matches in and they haven't got a single point. The Butcher looks like he is ready to devour someone. 36 v AEW LEAGUE Black Lotus (Jamie Hayter) v TV Network (Tessa Blanchard) A decent match though it did suffer from Hayter and Blanchard not clicking, which made it awkward at times. Hayter has been hugely impressive since returning from injury and continued this by defeating Blanchard in 12:48 by pinfall with a Curb Stomp. 55 Hayter out performed Blanchard 56-42 Hayter benefitted from public support. Adam Copeland is backstage with Renee Paquette. Copeland says it ate him up inside that he couldn't be in the match at Revolution... Renee asks him what next... Copeland says it won't be long until he is back to competing and that it's time to settle this once and for all with Christian... so at The Big Gamble Copeland says he doesn't want to be in The Big Gamble match... he wants Christian Cage... the TNT Championship... in an I Quit match... this is it Christian... this is where we end. He is seething as he finishes talking. 66 v 'The Ocho' Chris Jericho v 'The Murderhawk Monster' Lance Archer A decent match and while Jericho tried to out wrestle Archer, Archer was more successful out powering Jericho. This led to a win for Archer in 9:52 by pinfall with a Blackout. 53 Archer was really off his game. After the match, Chris Jericho, clearly feeling the affects of being beaten by Lance Archer, stays in the ring and calls out Sammy Guevara... Guevara comes out and Jericho wastes no time asking Guevara what the hell happened at Revolution... why he sought out Konnan and his cronies for help in a fight they were going to win anyway... this prompts the LAX music to play and Konnan lead out his new version of the Latin American Xchange as Santana, Ortiz, Rush, El Hijo del Vikingo and also Diamanté join Guevara in the ring. Konnan says LAX have Guevara's back as he is one of the crew... Jericho isn't stupid, he knows this isn't a situation in his favour and decides that discretion is the best action as he exits the ring to leave LAX standing in it. 61 Konnan is improving at his gimmick. v AEW LEAGUE Team Swerve (Samoa Joe (World champion) & Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)) v The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society ('American Dragon' Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley) The first of two big league matches tonight and a great match. All four men put in a high level performance and the match could have gone either way a few times. In the end, Moxley earned his second win over the World champion Joe in a week, this one coming in 16:44 when he submitted him with a Bulldog Choke. 76 - match of the night Jim Ross conducts a sit down interview with former World champion MJF and Will Ospreay following their match at Revolution. The two men show respect for each other and comment on what a great match it was... MJF says next time the result will be different... Ospreay says hopefully they will meet again in the future, but the outcome with be no different bruv. 73 v AEW LEAGUE The Peak of Perfection (MJF, 'Switchblade' Jay White & Killswitch) v The Golden Lion Club (Claudio Castagnoli & Lucha Brothers (with Alex Abrahantes)) A good match, though not quite up to the league match that preceded it. Killswitch was found wanting somewhat with the stellar talent in the ring with him and again Fénix was tremendous. It was perhaps expected then that The Golden Lion Club won in 17:09 when Penta pinned White with a Fear Factor. 72 Castagnoli seemed off his game. Killswitch performed worse than everyone else (48, next worst Castagnoli 64) White benefitted from being flavour of the month. Show rating: 72 AEW increased popularity in 24 regions. Attendance: 3,663 TV rating: 1.19 (895,462 viewers and 1,585,945 overall) Dynamite was the best AEW show in 2024. Joe & Strickland versus Danielson & Moxley was the fourth best AEW match in 2024.
