PRE SHOW
Hook beat Jake Hager in 7:37 by submission with a Red Rum. 54

AEWSaturdayNight2.jpg.506770e77d9acaee3d2da9eb35c7e0c3.jpg
COLLISION
Saturday, week 3, March 2024
Daily's Place, Jacksonville, Florida (5,500 capacity)
Announcers: Kevin Kelly, Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone

To start the show we have a table covered with black cloth and two chairs set up in the ring. Dasha Gonzalez stands at one end of the table. She announces we are going to have the contract signing for the I Quit match for the TNT Championship at The Big Gamble... first she introduces Adam Copeland, who makes his entrance and takes a seat... then she introduces the TNT champion Christian Cage who walks down to the ring flanked by his Patriarchy, Killswitch and Nick Wayne... Cage starts by saying that Copeland has always been a coward, he's always backed down from fights, he backed down from the fight at Revolution... Copeland retorts by telling Cage he's never quit anything in his life, whereas Cage always takes the low road, always looks for the cheap option, always looks for the way out... Cage grabs a pen and tells Copeland there is no way he is letting go of his TNT Championship as he signs the contract... Copeland snatches the pen off Cage and signs the contract immediately, saying he knows that Cage will quit at The Big Gamble... and he also knows what Christian Cage is about to do... Copeland says that he knows that Cage will set his two lackeys on him, but he's prepared for it... and Daniel Garcia and Matt Menard slide into the ring and stand beside Copeland... So Christian, says Copeland, it's a fair fight... but Cage calls back his Patriarchy and they slide of the ring... Copeland says "I thought so... cowards" before his music hits. 52
Christian Cage was fantastic.
Adam Copeland looked excellent.
Nick Wayne performed poorly.

Abadon1.jpg.097167100cd8c250948514e09cef4969.jpgEmiSakura2.jpg.7f2915caf144c2898de0135e08ce66d0.jpg v RubySoho3.jpg.00c954b7e490299cc68691c1d6769f53.jpgWillowNightingale11.jpg.fd5905180c85c5614ca52a0ea1edc39b.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Spooky Club (Abadon & Emi Sakura) v The Golden Lion Club (Ruby Soho (TBS champion) & Willow Nightingale)

Throughout the match there was no doubt that The Golden Lion Club were the better team and their superiority was converted into three points in 7:26 when Soho pinned Sakura with a Destination Unknown. 45

In the backstage interview area, Renee Paquette is with Jamie Hayter. The former Women's World champion says she wants her championship back and is using her number one ranking to enter The Big Gamble... if she loses then she loses the number one ranking. 60

Diamante1.jpg.06ec58b15dbd836ae3cceb1f78525255.jpg v TessaBlanchard2.jpg.ca65033b8951446a81ef2f6ccb637184.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Team WooItsNathan (Diamanté) v TV Network (Tessa Blanchard)

This was disappointing of a match, more so given Blanchard's reputation and the fact she is a former Impact World champion. She did enought to win though, it coming in 9:11 by pinfall with a Piledriver. 40

Alex Marvez is now in the backstage interview area and he is with Alex Abrahantes and Lucha Brothers. Alex says they are excited to be facing the Icon at The Big Gamble and it is an honour to challenge him and Darby Allin for the World Tag Team Championship... though he adds not to confuse this excitement with not taking this match seriously... they are and a tornado tag match where anything goes is right up their alley... Cero Miedo. 53

DaltonCastle4.jpg.80c16a4b7bbf43af2b711224e88060a1.jpg v Bandido.jpg.409288881365d99a9ef72f7fe9154258.jpg
OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN'S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Dalton Castle (with The Boys) v Bandido

An improvement on earlier matches, though that wasn't too difficult and this still wasn't too good. Bandido was making his return from injury and he did looked pretty good, and won with seemingly something to spare in 8:25 by pinfall with a Revolution Fly. 52
Bandido out performed Castle 58-41
Castle was really off his game.

It's Lexy Nair's turn in the backstage interview area for her League Report and this time it is with table topper The Peak of Perfection, who now include new signing Adam Page who has replaced Killswitch. MJF says they are exactly where they expected and should be, the perfect first place... Jay White says that is where they stay... Deonna Purrazzo and Thunder Rosa say they are proud to be top and as the only two active women on the team... while Adam Page says he is delighted to have signed for the league's best team. 74

MercedesMon(4).jpg.5a5832ac344c20987afb698be74a27b6.jpgRosemary(13).jpg.5e650d11c10c4179b71479866c76e497.jpg v ToniStormTimeless.jpg.21eaef5b91828776fe1b27b5dbb1b869.jpgSaraya6.jpg.529bef1684e40e279e2972d9bee7291b.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Team Swerve ('CEO' Mercedes Moné & Rosemary) v Timeless Ensemble ('Timeless' Toni Storm (Women's World champion, with Luther) & Saraya (with Harley Cameron))

A much better contest with some decent wrestling. Moné and Storm did most of the work for their respective teams and in the end it was Moné who came away with a major statement victory in 11:12 when she submitted the Women's World champion Storm with a Bank Statement. 59
Moné out performed everybody else (71, next best Storm 59)
Saraya was penalised for being in poor form.

The backstage interview area is busy tonight as Alex Marvez introduces his next guest... Chris Jericho... Marvez asks Jericho what is going on between him and Sammy Guevara and where do Don Callis Family and LAX fit in... Jericho says he doesn't know... Guevara has not been returning his calls or replying to his messages and he's learned he can't fight Don Callis Family on his own... and he knows he can't trust LAX and they have even more numbers... so he's going to stay out of their way for a while, which leads him to The Big Gamble... he says he needs some action on a big show... so he issues an open challenge for The Big Gamble... anyone who wants a shot at The Ocho, come step up. 56

AEWTagTeamChampionship.jpg.e6f88785e654afdf07ebe1c8448fd88a.jpg
DarbyAllin10.jpg.09db8b235c56a88a316ff8a9c36b2062.jpgSting2.jpg.a72c3efb696944e7ca907149f8295955.jpg v TheButcher(11).jpg.d3239a1daba9077389feeea5bb1209a3.jpgTheBlade(1).jpg.f15a5050cef325816fb3c70840c9e1d4.jpg
AEW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
TORNADO MATCH
Darby Allin & 'The Icon' Sting (champions) v The Butcher & The Blade

A weapons filled match that saw everybody except Sting bleed, it kept the fans entertained and was well received. The champions made defence number three of the titles and it was in large part due to the impressive Darby Allin. He sealed the deal in 11:44 when he pinned The Blade with a Coffin Drop. 65
Allin out performed everybody else (74, next best Butcher 55)

Backstage interview area again and Renee Paquette is with former Women's World champion Hikaru Shida. Shida perhaps spies a chance... Toni Storm has just lost to Mercedes Moné who will now be in line for a title match... so Shida says she challenges Storm for the title on Collision next week. 54

KonosukeTakeshita.jpg.9198dafb7b19b74915132c787e17fc34.jpg v EddieKingston3.jpg.290612a7b798efd34ab62d340459f445.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Black Lotus ('Alpha' Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis)) v The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society ('The Mad King' Eddie Kingston)
A really good match and one that was perhaps just going the way of the better technical wrestler over the better brawler... until out of nowhere Kingston nailed Takeshita with a Huracan in 12:48 to win by pinfall. 69
Takeshita and Kingston have pretty good chemistry.
Takeshita benefitted from being flavour of the month.

In the parking lot, Steve Austin is seen in his black custom Smoking Skull pickup truck, ready to leave the arena. As the cameraman films him, he winds the window down and he is asked on his thoughts on the main event between Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland... Austin says they are both two S.O.Bs... but he gives the edge to Danielson as he has more big match experience... now if you don't move I'm going to open a can of whoop ass as I have somebody I have to see... 68

BryanDanielson.jpg.0901a72452ecfb29c5e3dffc8658ef6e.jpg v SwerveStrickland(1).jpg.cec7d6cd79805e0c75264262d85525d5.jpg
'American Dragon' Bryan Danielson v Swerve Strickland
An excellent match between two top class wrestlers who both gave their all and put in a quality performance. There wasn't a lot between them... though in the end it was Danielson who gained early momentum before The Big Gamble as he earned victory in 17:36 by pinfall with a Busaiko Knee. 77 - match of the night
Danielson and Strickland have great chemistry.

Show rating: 73
AEW gained popularity in 13 regions.
Attendance: 4,611

PRE SHOW

DYNAMITE
Wednesday, week 4, March 2024
Generic venue in The Maritimes, Canada
Announcers: Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone

We start the show with The EVPs Matthew and Nicholas Jackson entered the private locker room of Steve Austin... Austin asks what the hell they want... The EVPs go on a charm offensive, saying they have the highest respect for Austin and everything he has done for and achieved in the business... and if anyone knows the business it's The EVPs... so The EVPs say they want to do some business with Austin and Brandon Cutler appears with a crate of beer... Austin says talk to the Jacksons as he opens his first beer... and Cutler bustles the camera man outside. 73

TheButcher(2).jpg.4bbcbc9aec050ac276b3931deaa6a28b.jpg v JayLethal.jpg.48cbf509750ef102919014a24124cf1b.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Team WooItsNathan (The Butcher) v TV Network (Jay Lethal, with Sonjay Dutt)

A decent match and Lethal was out wrestling Butcher, only for Butcher to use his brute force to gain the advantage. The Butcher managed to get the win in 8:57 by pinfall with a Flaming Yawn. Team WooItsNathan have their first three points at the eighteenth attempt. 54

In the parking lot and we see Don Callis Family getting ambushed by Latin American Xchange as they arrive at the arena. Don Callis goes running for the hills as his charges get mauled by the entire LAX - Santana, Ortiz, Rush, El Hijo del Vikingo, Sammy Guervara and Dralistico - with Konnan urging them on. They leave the Family in a heap as LAX head inside the arena. 43

MercedesMartinez.jpg.0462e8886de3c78c34e7c704554c768b.jpg v YukaSakazaki3.jpg.3ac56500d5aac9daf3b2f3e65ad9ce91.jpg
Mercedes Martinez v Yuka Sakazaki
A decent match though it is one that will more be remembered by others who appeared. With Sakazaki in apparent control of the bout, Konnan for some reason came down to the ring and distracted referee Rick Knox. This allowed Thunder Rosa and Diamanté to roll in the ring and attack Sakazaki. These attacks behind Knox's back allowed Martinez to get the victory in 9:03 by pinfall with a Fisherman's Buster. 53
Diamanté turned face, which was a success.

In the backstage interview area we see a smiling Renee Paquette... she says she is about to introduce somebody who has been the cornerstone of the AEW women's division...
BrittBaker.jpg.0bb3d5dce174f66d1acf326f2b802baa.jpg
Dr Britt Baker D.M.D. is back and she has Jamie Hayter and Rebel by her side. Renee asks Britt how she is... Britt responds by saying she's had a very difficult few months, off with a bad injury that took a long time to heal... but she has healed... and Britt reveals that she will be back in action on Dynamite next week as the small but vociferous crowd chant "D. M. D." 64

Sting2.jpg.5da2c51b6399ffb52440f05e1956faaf.jpgMalakaiBlack16.jpg.a62355214d23dee5bed29608c2ecd95f.jpgSatnamSingh.jpg.8f2466913e70e70bdcb58db93b076181.jpg v SwerveStrickland(2).jpg.a65d98082d376439075f1489104b5638.jpgNickNemeth(1).jpg.8ce45a86c140afb39ab0beb86831f02e.jpgSantana4.jpg.76ecc5687faf1fe7083406d809bb333f.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Spooky Club ('The Icon' Sting (World Tag Team champion), Malakai Black & 'One in a Billion' Satnam Singh (with Sonjay Dutt)) v Team Swerve (Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana), Nick Nemeth & Santana (with Konnan))

This can be considered somewhat of an upset as although Swerve Strickland had control of a large chunk of the match, it was The Spooky Club who came away with a win in 9:36 when Sting submitted Nick Nemeth with a Scorpion Death Lock. 46
Strickland out performed everybody else (74, next best Black 60)
Singh was far worse than everybody else (19, next worst Sting 48)

We go backstage where Lexy Nair is now in the backstage interview area with all of The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society. Danielson says they should be doing better... fifth place and only eight wins from nineteen matches isn't good enough... Moxley wants the team to fight... to die for their cause... Kingston and Yuta say they are willing to do it... Deeb says they are tough ladies and up to the job. 58

JackParry.jpg.c4e7567f6edb7132e7cd9f46430e1930.jpg v MikeBennett2.jpg.e330ce442b207a98816acee45bf7eeb8.jpg
'The Anaconda' Jack Perry (with Jake 'The Snake' Roberts) v Mike Bennett (with Matt Taven, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong & Wardlow)
For a while, Perry and Bennett had a decent and even match. However, the numbers game was always against Perry and if one member of Undisputed Kingdom wasn't successful in causing a distraction or landing a cheap shot, then another was. That was until Jake Roberts reached under the ring and pulled out a python. Suddenly all of Undisputed Kingdom except for Wardlow went running up the ramp, with Cole and Strong in particular looking very afraid. This got Bennett distracted as well and Perry capitalised in 10:59 to win by submission with the Snare Trap. 53

Following a commercial for snakediscovery.com we see a freaked out Undisputed Kingdom behind the backstage curtain, well freaked out except for Wardlow who seems to be the only one not bothered by snakes. Adam Cole says it's bullshit and an unsafe working environment where snakes are allowed to be brought into arenas and he demands that Tony Khan bans them in arenas... Roderick Strong goes on to say that if snakes keep appearing then he will refuse to appear on shows. 52

AEW WORLD TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP
The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass (champions) v Dark Order

A decent crowd the wrestling wasn't as good as people expected, particularly the veteran Ass who didn't look good. Despite this he managed to get the job done in 9:35 when he pinned Reynolds with a Fameasser. 56
Ass was really off his game.
Bowens and Caster benefitted from public support.
Caster benefitted from being flavour of the month.

After a commercial for hyrdocortisone, we stay in the ring and LAX's music hits. Konnan is seemingly near omnipresent tonight as he makes another appearance, walking to the ring followed by Thunder Rosa, Diamanté and Mercedes Martinez. He gets a mic on tells everyone they have witnessed a birth tonight... the birth of women in the LAX crew and he has recruited the three most street wise women in AEW... he says that not only are LAX going to take over the men's side of AEW, they are also going to take over the women's division too. 59
Even though women joining LAX was well received, Konnan turning face went badly, as he not long ago debuted as a heel.

Fenix9.jpg.b199e5f7bd182b8e13c84e0bd1bd0bcb.jpg v Christian3.jpg.8d6c6ba0bddeccb52e8e29e82f79ba82.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Golden Lion Club (Rey Fénix (with Alex Abrahantes)) v Timeless Ensemble ('The Patriarch' Christian Cage)

A great match. Fénix's performances since the start of 2024 have been consistantly tremendous and this continued here. With the run he is becoming one of the bona fide top stars in the company. The sly Cage used a lot of his tricks and was impressive himself, but in this form, Fénix is going to take some stopping. He got the points in 14:38 by pinfall with a Meteora. 80 - match of the night
Fénix out performed Cage 82-71
Cage benefitted from being in amazing form.

Prior to the main event, Alex Marvez is with MJF. Marvez asks MJF what his thoughts are on the main event... MJF replies simply "we will win of course"... but he tells Marvez he doesn't want to talk about that... he wants to talk about The Big Gamble... where he is entered The Big Gamble and he is willing to put his AEW contract on the line to enter. Marvez is pleased he has a scoop. MJF turns to make his entrance for the main event. 61

AdamPage11.jpg.c17df2d0f07432d97be0011a8ff51666.jpgMJF10.jpg.a90bdbcca928c5b69c9c2046139224cf.jpg v KonosukeTakeshita1.jpg.fd5407e26f2d8c795aa83a3ade942b75.jpgMiro(5).jpg.990a300c3321a32ef50ebc79dde5beba.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
The Peak of Perfection ('Hangman' Adam Page & MJF) v Black Lotus ('Alpha' Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis) & 'The Redeemer' Miro)

How could the main event top the preceding match? It couldn't. It was good, but after the Fénix v Cage match, it simply didn't compare. Takeshita had an off day, which allowed The Peak of Perfection to pick up an easier victory than it should have been when Page pinned Miro in 15:21 with a Buckshot Lariat. 69
Takeshita seemed off his game.

Show rating: 70
AEW increased popularity in 15 regions.
Attendance: 717
TV rating: 1.16 (875,201 viewers and 1,546,550 overall)

Dynamite was AEW's 11th best show in 2024
Fénix v Cage was AEW's best match in 2024
The show drew the 4th highest AEW TV rating in 2024.

RAMPAGE
Wednesday, week 4, March 2024
Broadcast on Friday, week 4, March 2024
Generic venue in The Maritimes, Canada
Announce team: Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Chris Jericho.

Christopher Daniels is in the backstage interview area with Renee Paquette to start this week’s Rampage. Renee asks Daniels how he feels about tonight’s main event… Daniels replies that while he is a veteran and near the end of his career, he is still hungry and still motivated to win titles… and tonight he will beat Roderick Strong to win the International Championship. 52

OWEN HART FOUNDATION WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Billie Starkz v Diamanté (with Konnan)

Diamanté won despite Starkz being on top for more of the match. It was a disappointing contest overall, and Diamanté got her win in 7:55 with a Code Red Power Bomb. 40
Starkz out performed Diamanté 43-31

Backstage and AR Fox wants a match next week, saying he hasn’t had an AEW match in three months… and he calls out Gravity for it next week. 36

OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Kip Sabian (with Penelope Ford) v Daniel Garcia

A poor match, perhaps a little surprising. Garcia advanced in 10:09 by submission with a Sharpshooter. 48

Roderick Strong is now in the backstage interview area with Renee Paquette and he has Matt Taven, Mike Bennett and Wardlow standing behind him. Renee asks Strong for his thoughts on tonight’s title defence… CHHRRRIISSSSSTOPHER… You’re against The Messiah tonight, you have no chance against The Messiah of The Backbreaker… then at The Big Gamble we can go and kill some snakes. 56

OWEN HART FOUNDATION MEN’S TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND
Powerhouse Hobbs (with Don Callis) v Wheeler Yuta

Another match that could have been better but it was even with Hobbs’ power game and Yuta’s speed being played off against each other. Yuta beat his much bigger opponent by technical submission in 10:52 with a Yuta Lock. 49

We now see Keith Lee backstage and he makes a challenge to Big Bill for a match for next week on Rampage. 61

How well Fénix has been doing in this save, I wouldn't say him beating Christian Cage is an upset. He's doing that well I'm considering advancing him to the World Championship picture in the not too distant future.

There were others I would consider an upset from Dynamite. Sting, Malakai and Satnam beating Swerve, Nick Nemeth and Santana is a little upset, given Malakai hasn't really done much in this save and Satnam is truly awful, plus Santana is having an LAX renaissance. Then also, The Butcher beat Jay Lethal.

COLLISION
Saturday, week 4, March 2024

To start Collision, a short video plays showcasing Kenny Omega's time in AEW and ends with a graphic saying he is back in action next week.

AEW LEAGUE
Team WooItsNathan (Anna Jay & Diamanté) v The Peak of Perfection (Thunder Rosa & 'The Virtuosa' Deonna Purrazzo)

Interesting that in the week women are admitted into LAX for the first time, two of them face each other in AEW League action. Also interesting is that Konnan is nowhere to be seen as he is in Mexico. In terms of the match, The Peak of Perfection were far superior and duly wrapped things up in 7:59 when Rosa pinned Jay with a Reverse DDT. 51
Diamanté was really off her game.

Athena is in the backstage interview area with Renee Paquette. Renee asks the Ring of Honor Women's champion how she is and why she is on Collision... Athena replies that she is very well... and she's on Collision to announce that she is entering the women's The Big Gamble match... and to enter it she's willing to risk her Ring of Honor Women's Championship... Renee wishes Athena good luck. 62

The Patriarchy v 'Rated R Superstar' Adam Copeland, Daniel Garcia & 'Daddy Magic' Matt Menard
A decent match and one where Christian Cage did his best to avoid Adam Copeland and to a large degree of success. When Copeland did finally get his hands on Cage, his brutal looking offence only lasted around 15 seconds before Killswitch and Wayne attacked him from behind, leaving him to need to tag back out.
The end came in 10:04 when Cage pinned Menard, illegally using the ropes for leverage. 59
Cage benefitted from being in amazing form.

We go backstage where Don Callis is with his Family and Alex Marvez. Callis and his Family are pissed off following LAX's assault on Dynamite, but with Konnan in Mexico and LAX seemingly not around, they aren't particularly concerned... Quite the contrary, as Don Callis challenges Konnan to a match at The Big Gamble... thankfully he's more specific when he says it's a trios match where Hobbs, Takeshita and Fletcher will destroy whichever three street thugs Konnan puts in front of him... because when it comes to wrestling and not gang warfare, everybody knows Don Callis Family will win. 47

MercedesMon(8).jpg.76d5712f4e9680dfdf0593c57caa6a01.jpg v TessaBlanchard.jpg.114101692c6e0b609fb2536799e827a3.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Team Swerve ('CEO' Mercedes Moné) v TV Network (Tessa Blanchard)

A decent match, though it was clear from very early on that Moné was far, far better in this contest. Her dominance led to victory, but credit to Blanchard for being tough and staying in the match for as long as she did. Moné's win came in 10:55 by submission with a Bank Statement. 66
Moné far out performed Blanchard 77-44

Lexy Nair is here for her bi weekly AEW League report... this week she is with The Golden Lion Club. Chris Jericho does most of the talking, as usual when he is with a group... he says they are doing well in the league, 2nd place and 14 wins out of 19 matches... now they have to chase down The Peak of Perfection to get that top spot... and he knows he has a team capable of doing so. 51

KonosukeTakeshita6.jpg.a0f2a3244323b3549ef6dd6d6d29f126.jpgMiro(6).jpg.320ad98366afa87a91a01034b4f3edb1.jpgDustinRhodes_alt.jpg.ab40361675574ee4f3e3866c7e0731ee.jpg v MalakaiBlack12.jpg.03b5e8d0edca1f5b6d978fa780c2d0ae.jpgSatnamSingh.jpg.b6b32d623ecfa682f18acd3930ec3524.jpgDanhausen18.jpg.99af4eb76389683bfbc23c7cf9446c6d.jpg
AEW LEAGUE
Black Lotus ('Alpha' Konosuke Takeshita (with Don Callis), 'The Redeemer' Miro & 'The Natural' Dustin Rhodes) v The Spooky Club (Malakai Black, 'One in a Billion' Satnam Singh (with Sonjay Dutt) & 'Very Nice, Very Evil' Danhausen)

This was another one sided match and was actually pretty decent, possibly because it was pretty short. Miro scored the win in 5:48 when he submitted the giant Singh with a Game Over. 55
Singh was far worse than everybody else (24, next worst Danhausen 44)
Takeshita benefitted from being flavour of the month.
Danhausen benefitted from public support.

Tony Khan is in the production truck, where he says he has an announcement... he says now we have all four competitors for the men's The Big Gamble match, next week on Dynamite there will be a The Big Gamble tag team match where the World champion Samoa Joe will team with Swerve Strickland to take on Bryan Danielson and MJF... Khan says he can't wait for this one. 74

AEW WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
'Timeless' Toni Storm (champion, with Luther & Mariah May) v Hikaru Shida

Shida was impressive her and the former champion caused the current champion a lot of trouble and on a few occasions nearly won the title back. Storm was able to cling on, fight back and ultimately retained in 12:43 by pinfall with a Storm Zero. 63
Storm and Shida have pretty good chemistry.

Dark Order are backstage. John Silver say they are disappointed not to leave Dynamite as the new World Trios champions... Alex Reynolds says he wished they were champions... Evil Uno says they lost that night and they will get another chance... but then he changes tack and sends out his best wishes to former Dark Order member Preston Vance who is sitting home with a concussion... he says La Facion Ingobernables have abandoned him by running to the new LAX... so Preston... come home... there is space for you in the Dark Order... 35

JayWhite12.jpg.855c1cc79ced4f38d141b7f633676097.jpg v MarkBriscoe.jpg.acb76ae7d74da06a9b41891e5d90b571.jpg
'Switchblade' Jay White (with The Gunns) v Mark Briscoe (with FTR)
Seemingly a smart move by Mark Briscoe to get FTR to come to ringside as their presence at ringside kept The Gunns from engaging in any shenanigans. This led to White and Briscoe being able to have a really good one on one match and one where there was a bit of an upset as Briscoe got the win in 10:13 by pinfall with a Froggy Bow. 69
White out performed Briscoe 71-59
White and Briscoe have pretty good chemistry.
White benefitted from being flavour of the month.
Briscoe benefitted from public support.

The EVPs come out to the ring... Matthew Jackson starts their business tonight that following on from Adam Cole and Roderick Strong's legitimate complaint about safety in the work place, snakes are banned from ringside for the International Championship match at The Big Gamble... Nicholas Jackson says there is another reason they have come to the ring... they had a really good chat with Steve Austin on Dynamite and they want to welcome him to the ring...
Steve Austin walks down to the ring already carrying a four pack of cold beers... he slides in and Nicholas Jackson goes to shake his hand... Austin ignores him... "What?" says Austin which quickly starts a "What?" chant from the crowd... Matthew takes over and he introduces Steve Austin as the new General Manager of AEW... to which Austin flips him the middle finger, kicks him in the gut and drops him with a Stunner... Nicholas looks dumbfounded and Austin gives him the same treatment... He gets a mic saying he is nobody's yes man, especially to two long haired dorks... He grabs a can and climbs the ropes... but just as he is about to open it, Adam Page has slid in the ring and hits him across the back with a steel chair. Austin falls to the mat face down... and Page hits him across the back twice more for good measure... before standing over a fallen Austin, his right foot on his back and his right arm holding the chair above his head. 72

AEW LEAGUE
The Bryan Danielson Appreciation Society ('American Dragon' Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley) v Timeless Ensemble (Darby Allin (World Tag Team champion) & 'Freshly Squeezed' Orange Cassidy)

A lot of people expected BDAS to out wrestle and beat up their opponents here and while they certainly did out wrestle them on the most part and certainly beat them up a lot, everybody knows that both Allin and Cassidy are far tougher than they looked. They absorbed BDAS' offence and managed to pull three points out of the bag in 17:14 when Cassidy pinned Danielson with an Orange Punch. 74 - match of the night
Cassidy benefitted from having a hot new move.

Show rating: 72
AEW increased popularity in 14 regions.
