For the week ending Sunday Week 1, March 1983

New TV Schedule Out!

The new schedule was released. The following shows were all cancelled: ICW AllStars; Championship Wrestling; WWF Championship Wrestling; ITV World Of Sport; CMLL; Wrestling From Florida; World Wrestling Council; Puresu Chukel; and Mid South Wrestling. There have been no comments out of the promotions as of yet. More on this story as it comes available.

Orndorff done with NWA!

In an shoot interview of sorts with our reporter rjhabeeb; Paul Orndorff had some real disturbing things to say about NWA Head Booker Huston Hartsell, Jim Crockett Jr and the rest of the management of the NWA, INC. He has not worked since mid Febuary as a result of displinary action due to failure to follow storylines and failing to show up for scheduled events. He won the Georgia Hwt Title in the debut show for CWG at the end of February. We contacted NWA headquarters but did not receive a response.

Interview with Head Booker Huston Hartsell

Our special reporter, cmdrsam, conducted an interview with Head Booker Huston Hartsell after Caged Heat on Sunday. He was repeated asked the details of the deal struck between the NWA and the WWF. He was vague to say the least. Inside reports point to three major agreements in the deal. 1)There can be no attempt on behalf of the NWA to hire workers under contract with the WWF for a set period of time(believed to be 6 months.) 2)That the contracts of the Wild Samoans will be allowed to expire and no attempt will be made to resign them by the NWA. 3)Some sort of agreement on the availability of Andre the Giant. The details on that one are sketchy, but it is believed that he would work dates with the WWF if there was a conflict between the schedules of the two giants. More details as we know them.

WWF Championship Wrestling Loses It’s Time Slot!

In another blow to the company in it’s battle with the NWA, the WWF’s TV show lost it’s time slot. Mr. McMahon is said to not be taking this well.

Another week another loss on Thursday night

The WWF's weekly PPV again lost out to the NWA's on Thursday night. The buyrate for In Your Neighborhood was 0.10 as opposed to the NWA's 0.13. Sources have said that this is a sticking point with head man Vince McMahon. And he has been in a very bad mood backstage. Stay tuned.

The Assassin #2 w/Paul Jones v Angelo Mosca Jr

Not a very good match even though these two had excellent chemistry(go figure.) Assassin #2 won with the torture rack at 3:50. The lack of pyscology hurt the quality of the match. Paul Jones did some good work at ringside. This match brought the crowd's mood down. E+

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/NikitaKoloff-1.jpg v http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/VinnieValentino.jpg

Nikita Koloff v Vinnie Valentino

Another poor effort. Nikita dominated this match, taking the pin fall after delivering a vicious Russian sickle at 3:26. These two put on an awkward bout, not clicking at all. Another match to bring the crowd's mood down. E+

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/MikeRotundo-1.jpg v http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/MagicDragon.jpg w/http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/GaryHart.jpg

Mike Rotundo v Magic Dragon w/Gary Hart

Finally a decent match. These two put on a good display. Rotundo picks up the win by pin fall after an airplane spin at 6:47. Hart did some good work at ringside. Magic Dragon could use something to freshen his character. C-

Gordon and Bob welcome the audience to the show. They highlight the matches scheduled for this evening. They tell everyone that we will be seeing the tag team bout pitting the team of Wahoo McDaniel and Mark Youngblood v The Privates(Kernodle and Gagne.) And the main event of Dory Funk Jr defending the MA Hwt Title against Jay Youngblood.

Interview with Gary Hart and his stable; Kabuki and Magic Dragon.

"Gordon, ladies and gentlemen, before you stands the future of this profession. The Great Kabuki has just rid this promotion of that trash Jimmy Valiant and in the process secured the MA TV Title. This is only the beginning. With The Magic Dragon and Bugsy McGraw we have big plans for the future. Just wait and see. Unfortunately tonight, Mr. Rheingans is standing directly in front of the mysterious one." Gary Hart and Magic Dragon are improving in performance skills.

The Great Kabuki MA TV Titlew/Gary Hart v Brad Rheingans

Good match between these two. Kabuki really looked good in this matchup. I see promise in the young Rheingans. Kabuki hits Rheingans with the heart kick and the pin at 5:58 for defence#2. C+

Gordon makes the announcement that Angelo Mosca will be retiring at the end of the month. Mosca comes out and speaks.

"I'd just like to thank all you fans for the support that you have showed me. Whether you cheered me or booed me, I did my best. My body just can't handle the pounding day in and day out anymore. Thanks, I'll always remember you guys." Mosca is improving in performance skills.

Interview with Paul Jones and The Assassins.

PJ "I'm sorry to hear that you are retiring Angelo. We've had some good battles over the years haven't we? But don't think for a moment that I will let my monster take it easy on you." Paul Jones is improving in performance skills and is showing more charisma.

The Assassin w/Paul Jones v Angelo Mosca

Pretty good match between these veterans. King Kong puts on a good show. But in the end the Assassin catches Mosca while he is distracted by Jones. He hammers him with a forearm shot to the back of the head. He rolls him up and gets the pin at 5:55. Not enough selling shown. C+

SS "Hey maggots! Listen up. I'm not real happy with the performances that I have been seeing since I have been wounded. If you two don't shape up, I'll ship you out and get me some more recruits. "

The Privates "Yes Sir Sgt Sir!"

Wahoo McDaniel US Hwt Champion and Mark Youngblood v The Privates w/ Sgt. Slaughter

Not as good of a match as I had hoped. Wahoo controlled the match while he was in there. When he tagged out, the Privates used quick tags and isolated Youngblood in their corner. Finally, Wahoo couldn't take it any longer. He stormed the corner and cleaned house. He went to lock in the Indian Death Lock and Slaughter jumped up on the apron to distract the ref. Wahoo released the hold, and went over and delivered 4 vicious chops to Slaughter's chest causing Slaughter to fall off the apron. He returned to Gagne and locked the Death lock on and secured the submission at 9:01. Wahoo looked excellent out there. Gagne was slowed by his injury. Gagne is improving in performance skills. C
