Preshow

Mark Youngblood v Kelly Kiniski w/Sir Oliver Humperdink

Well what a stinker, even for a dark match. Not a whole lot to say here.

Youngblood wins by pinfall after hitting a leaping tomahawk chop to the head at the 2:34 mark.

Road Agent Notes> Well this was our attempt to get these guys some work. Usually they play second fiddle in tag matches. Mark with Wahoo, and Kelly with One Man Gang. It may need to stay that way for awhile yet. Sir Oliver did some good work at ringside in the corner of Kiniski. Unfortunately the crowd crapped all over this one.

Nikita Koloff v Brad Rheingans

A little better effort then the first one. Nikita with a decisive win by pinfall after nearly taking Rheingans head off with a Russian sickle at the 3:34 mark.

Road Agent Notes> Nikita has the look. Now we just need to dedicate the ring time to his development. Have been thinking of sending him out in trade to CWG if Jim would okay it. This will hopefully help get him the needed experience he needs for his development. And Brad could see some time back in the AWA, as Fred has inquired recently about possible some talent trades.

Gordon "Hello folks and welcome to another edition of NWA Championship Wrestling. I'm Gordon Solie and this is my broadcast partner Bob Caudle, and have we got a great show in store for you all tonight! "

Bob "That's right folks, tonight you will see three championship matches as the National TV title, the National Tag Team Titles, and in the main event the Mid Atlantic Hwt Titles are contested."

Gordon "And also, we will see two more matches in the National Hwt Title Tournament Pool decided as Larry Zybszko takes on his partner in crime The Spoiler and Roddy Piper faces off with the mysterious Hooded Man. Should be a great show, you don't want to miss it!"

Interview with Jake Roberts.

"Each week I come out here and beat the living crap out of whoever they put up against me. And each week I see you get a free pass, Masked Man. How long are you going to duck me? When will I get a chance at regaining my title? My patience is running thin; soon I will not be able to control my urges!"

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/JakeRoberts2-1.jpg v http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/MikeRotundo-1.jpg

Jake Roberts v Mike Rotundo

Not as good as match as I had hoped for. Both tried hard, just never could get the crowd into the match. After a relatively even contest, Roberts hits a short armed clothesline and gains the pin at the 5:47 mark.

Road Agent Notes> I don't know what was up, but Jake was really off tonight. This kept the match from going over as well as it should have despite the fact that these two have pretty good chemistry.

_________________________________________________________________

Interview with Ole Anderson and Stan Hansen.

Stan "Whoweee, Ole we gets us some real life cowboys tonight! I ain't got into a good scrap since that ole knock down drag out we got into down there in Tucson last year!"

Ole "Shh Stan, the authorities don't know that was us, remember?"

Stan "Ahh shoot, Rock, I forgot. Dagnabit. Now I done got myself in a bad mood. Good thing we got these here cowpokes to kick around tonight!"

Ole "I hear yeah Stan. And look no face paint!"

Ole Anderson and Stan Hansen National Tag Champs v The Long Riders

Really good match. Lots of rough and tumble action. Alot like a bar fight. With the champs in control and well on their way to retaining, out runs the Road Warriors led by Paul Ellering. They slide into the ring and attack the champs! The match is declared a dq and awarded to Ole and Stan at the 4:07 mark.

After the bell the Warriors continue the attack on the champs until loads of backstage staff finally separate the two teams and restore order.

Road Agent Notes> Decent match to further the ongoing storyline. The feud is starting to catch on with the crowd and continues to build heat.

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/MrWrestlingII.jpghttp://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/GCW_TV.jpg v http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/OneManGang.jpg

Mr. Wrestling 2 National TV Champ v The One Man Gang w/Sir Oliver Humperdink

Very good match. The mat technician versus the behemoth. In the end the experience of MW2 won out as he was able to wear OMG down enough to hit the Million Dollar knee lift and get the pin at the 4:50 mark to retain the title.

As the match ended, Jake Roberts made his way out the the broadcast podium to join Gordon and Bob.

Roberts clapping "Bravo, well done there Masked Man. I'm impressed. Now if you'll stop hiding and ducking me, why don't you try and see if you can do that to me? Oh I know why, because you know that you can't. When ever you stop being scared; I want my title rematch. Sooner rather than later. "

Road Agent Notes> OMG was off his game tonight, but the match still went over well. Sir Oliver did some good work at ringside as usual. OMG showed some improvement in the technical aspects. He looked pretty good. I may just have to get him away from Kelly and see what he can do. The Roberts/MW2 feud is going along well. I like what I am getting from both at this point.

Interview with Larry Zybszko.

"Hooded Man, I am growing tired of this whole charade. Everyone knows who you are. I don't know why you are being allowed to compete in this tournament. My lawyers are looking into that as we speak. As far as we are concerned Spoiler. Remember who pays the bills masked man."

Match in the National Hwt Title Tournament Pool

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/LarryZybszko2.jpg v http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/TheSpoiler4.jpg

Larry Zybszko v The Spoiler

Great match. These two started out apprehensively, and then after the blood started pumping, they forgot all about alliances and focused instead on the task at hand. Zybszko proved to be too much as he weakened the big man down and then slapped on the Guillotine choke and got the submission at the 5:40 mark to notch another win.

As the match concluded, the camera catches the Hooded Man in the upper reaches of the Gymnasium watching the match conclude.

Road Agent Notes> Larry looked good out there. This match lifted the crowd. I should have had it further up the card. Oh well. The tournament pool continues. The crowd really pops at any appearance of the Hooded Man. They don't know whether to like him or hate him.

_________________________________________________________________

Paul Ellering and the Road Warriors make their way out.

Paul "Alright you old farts; it's time to stop running and face the music. These two here are the future and their time is now. So it's high time you put those titles up on the line and then you can both make your way to the old folk’s home where you belong!"

Hawk "WHATTTTTAAAAA RUSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

_________________________________________________________________

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/IvanKoloff-1.jpg v http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/JayYoungblood-1.jpg

Ivan Koloff v Jay Youngblood

Good match. These two are true professionals. Koloff with a Russian sickle and the pin at the 11:40 mark.

After the match, Nikita runs down and jumps in the ring. Bam sickle from behind. Ivan and he continue to beat Jay down. Ivan is yelling at him "Where's the other Indian? If he is a true American hero, where is he?"

Ricky Steamboat and Mark Youngblood run out and chase the Koloffs off.

Road Agent Notes> While good the match wasn't quite as good as I was hoping for. Hopefully this furthers the storyline I have building.

_________________________________________________________________

A video is played that highlights the whole National Hwt Title saga. From The Spoiler winning, the selling of the title, the initial tournament, the emergence of the Hooded Man to the Tournament Pool.

_________________________________________________________________

Interview with the Hooded Man.

"Zybszko, you come out here ranting and raving about how I shouldn't be allowed to compete in the tournament for the National Title? Ask yourself a question would you? Why should you be allowed? After all, you seem to have been the one that got this whole mess started. You couldn't win the title, you had to wait for a crony of yours to do that for you and then you paid him for it? What part of that qualifies you to compete for it? Have you ever earned anything on your own merits Larry? Before this whole saga is done you will put to that test to see if you are truly worthy of being the National Hwt Champion."

Interview with Roddy Piper.

"You know what Gordon? That dude gives me the willies. Something not right with him under the hood if you know what I mean. But anyway, it's time to kick his a** once and for all and move on in this thing. "

Match in the National Hwt Title Tournament Pool

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/apocolypse2.jpg v http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/RoddyPiper3.jpg

The Hooded Man v Roddy Piper

Great match by these two. They battled all over the ring, outside the ring, up the ramp and back. Back and forth, very even. Just when it looked as if Piper was going to put him away, he hits a forearm clothesline out of nowhere and covers for the pin at the 14:52 mark.

Road Agent Notes> The matches in this tournament pool keep getting better and better. This match got the crowd on its feet. For the first time in awhile they were solidly behind Piper. This is going to be interesting to see how it plays out!

_________________________________________________________________

Interview with Ric Flair.

"WOOOOOOOOOOO!! Gordon, it is good to be back here in the great state of Washington. WOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I just have a few things to say. Race, I'll do your little dance at the Clash. I'll kick Slater's a** one more time. But after that I get you. No more crap! I'm sick and tired of your song and dance. It's high time you put the Gold on the line. Walk that isle, WOOOOOOO!!, just you and me pal. Where I will style and profile and once again leave the NWA World Hwt Champion. WOOOOOOOOO!!! You see to be the man, you have to beat the man; and pal you don't have what it takes! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

_________________________________________________________________

Interview with Ricky Steamboat.

"Dory, tonight will be an extremely difficult test for me. I go up against a legend. A former World Hwt champ. But I myself am no slouch myself. I hope you don't think this is going to be a walk in the park. That Mid Atlantic Title will look good on my waist along side the World Tag Team title belt."

For the Mid Atlantic Hwt Title

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/DoryFunkJr2.jpghttp://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/MACW_Heavy.jpg v http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q81/theoutlaw321/RickySteamboat-1.jpg

Dory Funk Jr MA Hwt Champ v Ricky Steamboat

Excellent main event. These two can put on a show. Back and forth action for over 19 minutes. Steamboat starts to take control. He whips Dory into the ropes setting him up for a cross body block, when he is tripped up by Terry who has made his way down to ringside. With this Dory regains his senses and Terry joins him in the ring. They take it to Steamboat. Calling for the bell and the DQ at the 20:21 mark. Funk retains. The beatdown continues until the locker room empties and order is restored.

Road Agent Notes> This match lifted the crowd. The overall performance skills of Dory Funk Jr are improving. This was a great choice as main event. We will parlay this into the next step in this building feud.

_________________________________________________________________

Interview with Harley Race.

"We'll see about the outcome at the Clash. But to go further on something that you said, you forget who holds the Gold. Who calls the shots. That's me. You don't get to make demands, determine what happens. That's up to me. You get through Dick and then if there is anything left of you; we'll talk about whether or not you get your shot or not."

The phone was ringing as Huston opened his door. He chuckled. Thinking to hisself 'I wonder who that could be this early?'

He answered already knowing who was on the other end of the line. "Good morning, Huston Hartsell."

"You sorry son of bitch, you are just begging to go to jail aren't you?"

"Well good morning to you to Vince. What can I do for you this morning?"

"How many times are you going to have to be warned about screwing with me?"

"And when are you going to realize that your threats don't have any effect on me?"

"You know what was agreed to in the settlement!"

"Yeah, I'm full aware of the provisions that it contained."

"And still you continuously violate the agreement?"

"I'm yet to violate any of the terms of the agreement Vince. If I had you'd have hauled me back into court before I could think twice."

You know that you are violating it damnit!"

"How so? Please tell me."

"By using my talent on your shows!"

"That's not a provision of the settlement and you know it."

"You know what was intended!"

"Maybe you should have better lawyers Vince, so that they can read your mind and make sure everything that you intended would have been put in there?"

"You're signing their death warrant just like you did Paul's."

"So you're saying that you intend to run Antonio and Carlos out of business now?"

"If you use them Thursday, then yes, that is indeed what I'm saying."

"Good luck there Vince. Maybe you should pick one fight at a time. Seeing as how you're having a hard time winning any of your current ones."

" Why don't you ask Paul at the end of the week who's winning that one?"

"I'll take care of Paul, don't you worry about him."

"I'm warning you, don't use them or else."

"Or you'll blow my house down? Hehe."

And with that he hung the phone up. Knowing full well he was playing the game of his life.

ahahahaha... just how it should be. Vinnie Mac ka-ka-ing himself.

Heh, just a side note, I'm doing law at the moment in my studies, if the intention was for talent not to be on each others shows and you agree to that the contract's still enforceable through implication (at least down here)... I love law.

But I love it man, great stuff, screw him into the ground fo shore fo life.

The provision in question was that the NWA couldn't negotiate with talent on roster for the WWF for a period of time. It says nothing about talent trades. The negotiations are with the other promotions not the talent. Hehe. I love technicalities. :D :D :D

did not just copy paste from colt, ofcourse I want Rocky Johnson to win, that would be nice.

I didn't mean to make it sound like or imply that you didn't make the picks. You have differences. That's not what I meant at all. I just wanted to make sure that you wanted Rocky and that you wanted the finish the same.

The reason I ask this (and I think keef or tristram can attest because it was in one of their diaries) is that I did that. I copied the matches from the last post above me and made my picks and left the comments on there from whoever it was that I copied the post from. I picked one guy and the comments were talking about the other guy winning! lol :o

By the way, are you old enough to have seen Rocky as Sweet Ebony Diamond?

hehe, yeah, that's a bad mistake to do. Lol, I did not see it before now, that it was ColtCabana who wrote "Not a clean win though (DQ)." I did just copy of him because he was the first to respond to your prediction. I was never gonna write the same as he did. My bad :p

Mate, I don't remember that, all I do remember is you couldn't pick your nose when it came to tips...deadset, you were atrocious :D :D Flame that biatch.
