  1. <p>Parallels 15 for Mac for sure (especially if you are on Catalina). If you are a student or have a student in your household, you can get it for $40 (50% off). I'd recommend installing Windows XP Pro w/Service Pack 3, use it in 'Coherence' mode, and keep the virtual machine offline to prevent any security issues (outside of licensing / unlicensing). </p><p> </p><p> Depending on your Mac, the virtual machine will use a lot of resources for Windows 7 and 10 (because those OS need 2GB of RAM and quad-core at a minimum to operate well). Using WinXP allows you to customize lower virtualization hardware. TEW2016 runs flawlessly and loads extremely fast using dual-core and 1GB RAM. Running a Windows 10 VM will use over 2GB of your Mac system because its utilizing so much for the OS that you don't need. Running WinXP will use far less, allowing for you to run TEW and whatever else you want without a hiccup. The WinXP VM will also take up much less storage space. </p><p> </p><p> I also messaged Adam a month ago to confirm that WinXP would still work for TEW2020 and he confirmed that it would.</p>

Man this sucks."</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Bad ass you went to a 'Mania though. I've only ever been to one PPV and it was Summerslam 2006 in Boston. I was 17 years old at the time and my oldest brother was 25. It was the first PPV for both of us. It was awesome because he used to take me to house shows as a little kid and our mom would drop us off. Hogan vs Orton is definitely what I remember most from that PPV. And Sabu/Big Show being so terrible. Although, nobody expected anything from that match anyway. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
  3. Well, it definitely gives Wrestlemania 11 some company. To be fair, WM11 wasn't even that bad.
  4. <p>WM has basically been a weird training / practice edition. It just doesn't feel right. The only saving grace last night for me was Taker vs AJ and that's for obvious reasons. Fan interaction is literally what made wrestling what it is. Matches have changed on the fly because of the crowd. Its just really hard to immerse myself in something that seriously looks like a YouTube tryout match with glorious production. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jaysin" data-cite="Jaysin" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="25169" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Just watched the Evolution episode of Ruthless Aggression, I now totally understand why Jindrak never got a push in WWE. He was just as immature as Orton.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> But that doesn't actually justify him not getting a push considering Orton was pushed all the same. If anything, the episode proved what so many people believed for years and that's Triple H held people back based on personal reasons. Jindrak and Orton were basically acting like HHH and HBK, but that's not the image HHH wanted. Evolution had to be everything DX wasn't. Don't get me wrong, I love HHH and he's always been a favorite of mine. But that episode was 40 minutes of proof that HHH held guys down as we all expected.</p>
  5. RVD vs. Cena at One Night Stand in 2006. That banner hanging from the rafters "IF CENA WINS WE RIOT". The minute I saw that, I knew it was going to be one of the coolest matches I had ever seen because of that crowd. And I legitimately believe if Cena had won, he wouldn't have made it out of that building alive. I have so many wrestling favorites but that one match with that crowd is one of those ultimate "holy shit" moments for me. The crowd kept throwing his shirt back. It was priceless.
  6. Still playing TEW2016 off and on. Working (got that essential thing going on) and doing college courses online. I mostly have a WCW 2001 save going that's currently in 2007 (yeah, I tend to play long saves).
  7. He was pushing his age in 2016, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him bring the gimmick back in 2020 as a farewell tour of sorts.
  8. Download the WMMA5 demo and run it. That will give you an idea of exactly how TEW2020 will function on your screen.
  9. Well, the end of April and the rest of this year seems to be all scheduled for me now.
  10. No deaths in my state. Very limited spread and seems like its the most populated areas. Maine is very rural but Cumberland county is an overcrowded area which is the hardest hit area where I live. Nothing in my county or any people around us but school is closed until April 27th, possibly the rest of the school year. For me, personally, this is an inconvenience and massive pain in the ass. My son was just starting to really get into a good rythm with school (he's in kindergarten). My wife and I both work in health care and we have to work, although I would still work regardless. https://i.ibb.co/3hDdMfM/Annotation-2020-03-25-080941.jpg I personally think those at higher-risk should be confined to their homes, everyone else should be able to live their lives freely. This COVID-19 spreads like strep throat and any other illness that sweeps through a community. Handwashing, covering your cough, staying home when sick. Those are all BASIC things that everyone should have been following before this even started. And I'd love for the news to actually report that COVID-19 doesn't actually kill anyone. It makes you sick, your immune system can't fight it and you get a bigger illness like the flu or pneumonia.
  11. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="D16NJD16" data-cite="D16NJD16" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="46105" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Pumped right back down</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Saying that he planned to release one ahead of time but wasn't able to is better than an outright "no" in my opinion. It also doesn't seem like a pre-editor is all that much needed. The conversion from 2016>2020 seems like it'll be fairly easy with minimal adjustments to begin playing. If that's the case, mod makers should be able to fill in those blanks easier than before. You'll have a one-week head start before the full release and almost anyone who has ever followed this series knows that RW mods take time. Nobody expects 50 mods on day 1 and anybody that does has really high and unrealistic expectations.</p>

He's all set now and I've told my parents to bunker down. In Arizona, they have shut down schools, bars, restaurants, movie theaters and other areas where people gather. Stores are still open and most office businesses are functioning (even if people are working from home).<p> </p><p> Hopefully the social distancing will help prevent the quick spread, but I'm not sure how long this can keep up. If we do this for 2-3 months, a lot of small businesses won't make it. After this first push, it would be great if we could setup an infrastructure to allow the elderly and at-risk adults to stay home (ie, system to bring them food and supplies), but let younger people under 40 go back to living their lives. I guess we will find out</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Same exact situation here in Maine. Not a whole bunch of cases. About 50-60 confirmed, a few have fully recovered and close to 3,000 negative tests. Schools shut down for two weeks originally but are now closed until April 27th. I'm hopeful that if it continues we can figure something out like you suggested.</p>

  14. You can create this if you truly want to through narratives. You wouldn't really be able to force companies to stop running shows but you could do a lot of narratives to mess with the wrestling industry, economics, company popularity, etc.
  15. Once the masses get their hands on it and start doing all sorts of untested things, we'll break the game I'm sure. We always do. That's why the one-week public trial with 30 days in-game of playtime usually works really well (I'm assuming we'll get that again). By the time it releases for sale, most big bugs have been caught and patched. And then we'll get minor updates to fix bugs that pop up here and there. That's how I expect it to go anyway. I'm really pumped!!
  16. It's too bad he doesn't release a stand-alone editor for those mod makers who want a headstart. I forget what year he did that, but it was a long time ago at this point.
  17. Sorry to sound brash, but I'm someone who is entirely opposed to something like this. Growing workers and seeing the fruits of my labor are an important aspect of this game for me. It isn't so much if Bret Hart is a 97 or a 100 in submissions but if Bret is a 98, what is Sting? Does he get to be great at submissions because he did a mirrored Sharpshooter? Or someone like Sandman? I think lumping skills together is a really bad way to get people invested in the workers they are pushing. For someone like me, who doesn't play a lot of big companies, overness means nothing to me. Seeing workers progress and stats go from a 10 to a 65 means more than I can describe. That's what this game is for me down to its core. It isn't about putting brawler vs brawler or good psychology vs good psychology. Its finding random pairs who can bring out the best in each other. That random chemistry between workers that you never expected and you can't ignore. The massive stat jumps because someone struck gold. Without the stats behind these guys, I don't see myself wanting to book anything. Nothing will differentiate them. The stats that workers have also tie heavily into the match types that you book.
  18. I've honestly been pretty impressed. I've liked the inside look at the replay reviews. Something we will never see during an NFL game. As much as the NFL stole from the XFL the first time around, that isn't something we will ever see. I wasn't a fan of hearing the play call just because it seems cheesy. We don't need THAT much inside information. No doubt it's different but I wasn't a fan of that aspect. I think the officiating in general has been really well done and they are clearly trying to produce quality games that aren't full of slow stoppages. I'm really not that surprised by the quality of the games because these are all legit football players who have some pretty legendary coaches. These are guys who have been NFL backups, guys who went to top schools but weren't drafted, etc. The XFL would have been the perfect place for someone like Tim Tebow to come out of Florida too. So many other talented players who get cut short because they either don't have the tools the NFL wants or never had enough exposure to even be noticed. I watch a lot of Mike Golic, I used to love Mike & Mike In The Morning. Now I watch Golic & Wingo in the morning (I work overnights so I get out when the show comes on). Something he said about the XFL on the Friday before the first game, "the XFL is great for fans who want more football and most of all its great for the players who desperately need a place to play."
  19. Let's not get that debate going again. I think Mat and Chain wrestling should have been combined but Submissions should still be separate. It isn't a deal-breaker by any means but not something I entirely agree with. I think all of the new attributes we can assign to workers will make up for that. Those will give a lot more detail and bring the characters to life. I can absolutely understand where you are coming from but I'd love to see some real statistics that show how many casual fans play the TEW series. I'm sure a ton of casual fans played EWR and a lot of them still do play EWR 4.2 to this day (heck, I even have the zipped file on my computer after all of these years). But I'm not so sure that the casual or even all hardcore wrestling fans play TEW. Its a very specific game that has a lot of moving parts. Its also a lot harder for someone to jump on board a game like this without ever playing it. The learning curve is difficult for this series and that has nothing to do with the stats people have.
  20. My women's division usually consists of 4-10 people with one singles title, depending on the size of the promotion. I've always used it as a secondary act and a way to calm the crowd down in between the excitement. Although, I have had the occasional stellar match and I have had women get massively over at the same time. When that happens, it's hard to ignore and I end up doing more with them.
  21. Contracts have been completely redone. Way more possibilities. http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2337657#post2337657
  22. You can get around this by running as a 'minor' brand and setting it to B-shows only. The attendance will be lower and popularity won't grow as fast. It will simulate what you want right now in TEW2016. I only know this from running global CVerse promotions with developmental companies and a minor brand to call them up to before hitting the main roster. TEW2020 will allow WWE and NXT to run properly because of what Derek_B said. NXT would be a developmental company that can be run by the user character in TEW2020. That's a major feature that I'm thrilled to use. That's how my user character's career is going to start, running a developmental company.
  23. Went to fire up a real-world save for the first time in years and realized you have so many people in the Hall of Immortals that truly don't belong. Most of the pople you have are at best Hall of Fame contenders for the promotions they worked for. HOI is supposed to be the very best of the best. Once in a lifetime type talent who made it to the very top of the biggest companies. Two glaring examples: Sabu and America's Most Wanted. Sabu absolutely belongs in the ECW Hall of Fame. America's Most Wanted absolutely belongs in the IMPACT/TNA Hall of Fame. But neither belongs in the Hall of Immortals. Mike Awesome is certainly not a HOI candidate but he's set to "inducted". John Henigan too? I could literally list 100-200 workers who don't belong on that list. It's supposed to be an exclusive type club, not something everyone gets.
  24. MAW. I just like the approach they take. Old-school wrestling with no b-------. I enjoy running smaller companies. MAW has been my favorite company since TEW2008 (the first year I started playing with the CVerse, TEW04, 05, 07 I always used mods). Crazy to think its been 12 years with that database...
  25. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10ISO Get the Windows 10 ISO. You can download it now without needing a Windows computer. Before you had to download a media creation tool to download Windows 10. You'd use the tool to create a ISO for a disc or a bootable flash drive. This downloading the ISO directly is completely new. Windows 10 install through Parallels is flawless. Just skip the product key for Windows. You can use the full version of Windows without using a product key (with preferences and settings not able to be changed). Microsoft allows this on purpose. If they didn't want people to be able to test out the OS, they wouldn't allow you to bypass the product key in the first place or they'd lock the OS after a set amount of time, which they don't do. I own two different Windows computers in my house, which is how I had the ISO file originally. I just bought this MacBook in late October and I was scrambling to figure out the TEW fix due to Catalina. This isn't a real fix due to the price but its a really nifty program that runs flawlessly and allows you to do much more than TEW on a Mac.
