Using it now my my new NYCW playthrough</p>
  2. First, I love this game. I keep coming back to it. Booking GAMMA, I'm in March 2006. We're the number 1 company with ALPHA hot on our heels. The problem is, I don't have a dominate champion in any weight division. In the middleweight division, I thought it was going to be Adam White, but after his 3rd title defense, he tested positive for TRT, so I stripped him of the title. Speaking of, it seems like all my big name fighters are popping on the drug tests. Helio and Jake Keane both popped twice in a row, so I'm having them fight and if they pop, I'm cutting both of them. I run a clean organization here. The Super Heavyweights aren't built up yet but we're getting there with Teddy Glossop and Kel Ryan basically trading the belt to each other. I'm triyng to add a women's featherweight (heavyweight) division but building their pop is difficult and there aren't too many women in my game. Thinking of doing a reality show to spawn a bunch.
  3. I think the end goal of NYCW is to become a regional powerhouse. It should be a company where you're at 55 pop in the Tri-State and 20 pop everywhere else. I think the sweet spot is 2 events per month, maybe with a touring week every few months in New England or Great Lakes. I think the key is to stay away from broadcasters. Once you broadcast, you tie your worker's pop and they can get poached quicker. The goal is to create the next Bruno Sammartino, not the next Hulk Hogan.
  4. I love NYCW and always have an active game with them. The problem is, they're in a very strange spot wherein they outgrow their current workers very quickly. The current crop of main eventers get outpaced by the guys you can eventually bring in and at around the two year mark, even with only running a show a month, you'll notice that there are so mny better workers who fit the old school style. The truth is, NYCW is a company that should never really be above small size and all my games seem to fall apart as soon as I get a broadcasting deal.
  5. You can turn off a lot of the settings to play in sandbox mode and you can intentionally raise their stats in the edior. Think Piper should be cutting Grade A promos? Raise his entertainment skills all to 95. Gimmick effects can be turned off and ignored for the most part. A lot of the issues seem to be based on the mod your using. Not saying you can't feel the way you do, just trying to give you some workarounds you can use to play how you want.
  6. The only thing I hope is that he can speed up the day to day speeds. Otherwise, WMMA5 is probably the closest he's going to get to the "perfect game." At this point, I hope he can make a boxing sim. There hasn't been a good one in a long time. Title Bout 2.5 has so many issues that prevent me from playing it.
  7. I don’t think momentum is supposed to be crippling. It’s real usage is to stop new signees/ workers in no real storylines who job from shooting up the card. I think I’d hate it if it were more difficult.
  8. This happened to me with a really fun BCG game. I decided to do their tournament in the style of the G1. WOW was that a bad idea. I got up to day 5 of 11 and gave up.
  9. I notice when I start booking weekly shows I become immediately less interested.
  10. What are E&C's current popularity? What are their match average grades. What road agent note on who are you using? This game to me seems the easiest TEW game to organically grow pop.
  11. Yes, I think it's the most fun way to play and I love it when a guy who I hired specifically to be a midcarder shoots up in pop and basically forces me to put him in the main event.
  12. Interesting. This is a pretty realistic line up. Question, who had the tri-state regional belt in between the two Masked Stranger runs? Here's mine for comparison: NYCW November 2020 NYCW Empire: Tennessee William (x3) NYCW Tag Team: Rich and Famous (x1) NYCW Tri-State Regional: Richie Riggins (x1) NYCW King of New York: Sterling Whitlock
  13. I usually never ask for graphic requests but.... I created an avatar, Scott Sneer, the son of Shane Sneer. Can someone do a stable logo for The Sneer Corporation? It was Shane's monster heel stable that he started in every promotion he managed in.
  14. I meant that the fact that the IRS sent an investigative team to look into wrestling is evidence that theyknew it was a work.
  15. As part of my TEW ADHD, I made a 50% prestige dojo and attached it to a new company in Sur, Mexico. Female only. I'm making the luchadora version of MAW.
  16. I don't think so. Evidence from the IRS investigation revealed that the government did indeed know Wrestling was a work by 2016, and if the government knows it, it must be common knowledge. I also think we can view DAVE's popularity as evidence that the average fan was aware since elaborate hardcore matches would necessarily require the workers to be in on it and cooperate. The obvious parallel to Vince is Richard Eisen, but I don't think there's ever an explicit admission that it's a work. I think it's safe to assume that by the mid 90s, based on the companies that were appearing and had evolved (see the Tri-State War) the average fan was aware of the worked nature of wrestling. A very interesting question though.

AKA, I just made this system a staple of my promotion because it builds stars so easily.. <img alt=":o" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/redface.png.900245280682ef18c5d82399a93c5827.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Little embarrassed the more I talk about it haha<p> </p><p> I sign all of the people over the hump on the unemployed line with way too much popularity to 3 Month pass the torch contracts. I usually pick 4-5 at a time, cause there are plenty to go around and you might need some of their pop for stars down the line. They do the job, despite morale issues, no questions asked, in every match. This brings anyone from Unknown to Recognisable and is something that companies should do in real life. Bring in a star to put over everyone humanly possible until the fans quit asking who they are. There are plenty of veterans on my roster that actually have a home (Thomas Morgan), but I'm more talking T-Rex, Platinum... they shall retire looking at the lights as far as I'm concerned.</p><p> </p><p> I have proper jobbers too, but jobbers can't build stars. <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> This is literally what I do and what I think is the closest situation to real life.</p>
  18. <p><p>There are a bunch of high pop guys unemployed. Filter by pop 40-100 in the USA and you'll find them. </p><p> </p><p></p><p> Also, there's always a bunch of 60-70 guys that end up going free agent within a year, so you'll be able to hire them too later on.</p></p>
  19. That's a lot of belts. It might be easier to tell us who ISNT a champion
  20. SCCW June 2021 Brady Prince is champion once again! Brady Prince beat Jack Griffith when Jack rewarded him with a championship match after Brady helped the champion fight off the dastardly duo of John Bradley and The Gambler. The match was very respectful and Brady managed to pull of the clean victory and become champion. Cockroach Carter Continues Destruction The marketing nightmare know as Cockroach Carter has run rampant in the midcard of SCCW. Recently putting away young blue chip rookie Pepper Pelton, Carter now turns his gaze to the SCCW Championship and it's aging holder. The New Tennessee Outlaws Capture the Tag Gold! The team of SCCW original Whiskey Jack and newcomer Buzz Reid were bestowed the title of the SCCW originl tag team when Herb Stately made a shocking comeback and offered to manage them. Herb's guidance was well founded as The New Tennessee Outlaws beat SCCW original team The Maryland Alliance, and they look hard pressed to be beat. Surprising Duo Catching Fire! The Blackwater Mercenaries, a team comprised of veteran wrestlers Desert Storm and Sgt. Bubba Lee West has won over the crowd and is becoming extremely popular with little to no push. Rumors are that SCCW owner and son of the original founder, Scott Sneer himself has noticed and may offer his brand of leadership to them. Jason Patterson Tipped For the Future! Rookie southern boy "The Oklahoma Thunderbolt" Jason Patterson has won the crowd over. In his year and a half with the company, the charismatic good ol' boy has won the hearts and minds of the crowd with his great matches and great promos. With a solid endorsement from SCCW Original Jack Griffith, Jason looks like he'll be the one to watch for years to come.
  21. After messing around with some other companies, I'm starting a new save with the latest patch. My starting strategy is to bring in older, higher pop workers who basically usually stay unemployed until they retire to put over my younger lower pop workers. Heavily utilize the talent trades and loans with COTT to job to my territory guys. Matches between NYCW true borns should be a big deal. Eventually I'll want to land a TV deal to AT LEAST have my events televised. That why, I'll be gaining pop across the country and it makes the talent trades easier. My end goal is to have enough where I can set up a dojo and truly make an NYCW pure breed champion. I really want to see if one of my NYCW true born guys cn get signed by a big company and become world champion.
  22. <p>I'm recreating a renamed Babes of Sin City in the C-Verse.</p><p> </p><p> Give me rules! The wackier the better.</p>
