  1. I wish I could change ita bit because my favorite part is seeing who becomes a dominate champion and who finally unseats them. In this game I have no one with more than 5 defense.
  2. I ran a womens only game using only the C-Verse females and deleting all the men to make a very quick running game. Already in 2014 and my only complaint is the obvious: The women tend to retire around 31-34 years old and after 31 their skills start to plummet. Couple this with them hitting their prime around 29 and you have a bunch of very short title reigns. I know why it's in the game like this, but man, it kind of sucks trying to build these female fighters to only enjoy them at the top for a year or two. On the other hand, the quick roster turnover is interesting. Edit: So many sex tape scandals...
  3. I notice the best way to use hype is when you poach a big star from another company that has no or regional popularity in your region. Hype them big time, put them against two mid range people as tune up matches and they'll jump to national pop.
  4. Once again maintain Tri-State Supremacy with NYCW. Keep it old school.
  5. I have a theory to try and keep sim times low as long as humanly possible. So my game is in 2022 and simming between shows is getting to be too much for me. I'm going through the other companies and noticing that OMEGA and TOP end up causing a lot of new fighters to be generated and when you get far enough, those fighters become regens just adding to the fighter count for companys I don't care about. Further KDMFC, XCC, BCF and WEFF tend to all hit International level. In my opinion KDM FC should never hit above Low Level National since it also struck me as a no frills, street fight type company. XCC and WEFF should never be above mid level national since they're niche. BCF should never be above High level national. Sigma should be the only company allowed to challenge ALPHA-1 and GAMMA. I'm going to set those settings. I'm also going to disable New Companies, new teams and Generated Fighters. If I need either, I'll populate them myself on a case by case basis. Organic biographies and local naming will be disabled as I heard that those take up memory and can slow the game. My only concern about this is Mexico. Mexico tends to have a ton of fighters who now wont probably be doing anything. I'm going to try this out and see what happens. If a company dies, I'll just repopulate the region with a new company. I might also swoop in to bail out companies. We'll see how this experiment goes. Edit: I also considered eliminating all super heavyweights, but I'll hold off on that for now.
  6. Same. That's why I do a King of Indies title so I can still track those who came out of my system but it doesn't really mess up my history.
  7. I basically make my titles called "Heavyweight King of the Indies" and when they stop poaching me I retire the titles and create my official ones. I'm currently in 2022 of my XCC run with an added Women's flyweight and a Welterweight division. Ollie Rockmetteller was my breakout star, completely owning the Bantamweight division and making 27 straight title defenses from 2002 to 2016. He lost two straight to Martin Backlund (who is in his second reign with 10 total defenses) and then retired. A great fighter and the first inductee to the XCC Hall of Fame and he even made the MMA Hall of Fame. My big regret is that I didn't capitalize on my second biggest star, Lightweight Shusui Ikoma, and didn't run enough shows in Japan. The dude was a prennial champion making over 15 total defenses over 4 reigns including his final reign which spanned 5 years and 12 defenses and always avenged his losses. He's dropped his last 4 matches though and I think it's time for him to retire. My Welterweight division is definitely weak and we just had our first champion to make a single title defense and he barely scratched it out. I'm having fun with the regens and we restarted our reality show, Next XCC Titan. My big problem is that it takes like 5 minutes to sim in between shows.
  8. So I had a great C-Verse idea which in hindsight may not be a great idea. Basically, Duke Hazard decides to open a performance based women's company in the midwest, but the catch is it seems he's only hiring the most physically attractive talent, leading some to speculate that this is just a way for Duke to surround himself with beautiful women. And of course, I made the rule that the the 3 workers on my roster with the highest sex appeal are getting pushed no matter what and any free agent with a sex appeal of 75 or higher is a snap contract. Could be interesting. Known because I mostly play "training promotions" where developing talent is my goal and I like to see who is growing and who isn't.
  9. I always add a character that I make Shane Sneer's son. I call him Scott Sneer and give him around the same stats as Shane. That's who I would be.
  10. Did you get this belt design from a... certain show... that used to be popular... on youtube... that a certain "Jim" used to guest on...
  11. <p>Playing in BCG in October 2017. Have a tv deal for my tour and events but it's early afternoon on one of the Japanese "3" stations. </p><p> </p><p> I'm capping myself at regional for now until I have 4 million in the bank which should be another 2 or 3 years, and then I'll make the jump to cult. I'm turning a profit of about $80K a month but I'm keeping my roster fairly lean. I only offer 3 touring contracts a tour to foreigners and my incoming young lion class is about 6 people. I'll do another class next year and it looks like it'll be about 4 people.</p><p> </p><p> I bailed PGHW out once, giving them $750,000 to prevent them from going out of business and flooding the market with their talent who I wouldn't be able to afford. However, I just checked the editor and both GCG and PGHW are in debt to the tune of $250,000. They're going to go out of business fairly soon, however I think now I'll just let it happen. My personal rule is that I'm going to just stay the course with my core group of guys (I was able to hire back Big Bruiser Findley after GCG had to cut him due to budget) and build with my young lions.</p><p> </p><p> Ideally, the goal is to bring back the traditional touring schedule as the anti-modern japan movement and restore the Lion. </p><p> </p><p> By the way, all my workers are capping pop at around 54. Is this because I'm regional and my tv deal sucks?</p>
  12. <p>I did the "grind to a TV deal" gimmick and now i'm in July 2016 and I'm making a profit of about 10k a month. My roster is extremely lean.</p><p> </p><p> The problem here is that I'm getting EVERYONE poached from me. It's horrible. My roster turnover is ridiculous and I have no idea how these other companies are keeping such huge rosters. I'm about to lose Findlay to GCG and I'm so livid because he's a cool monster Gaijin.</p><p> </p><p> The real issue is that my new signees who are going to be my backbone of the comapny are still young lions and I don't want to job the leaving guys out to them since they're all... old lions.</p><p> </p><p> BCG is definitely fun, especially once you get TV and it's stabilized. It's just really difficult because I'm literally afraid to put the belt on anyone who isn't loyal to me.</p><p> </p><p> I renamed Torii to "Machine Gun Torii" and I have Torii and Blast in a stable called "Machine Gun Squad." I'm looking for a third member.</p><p> </p><p> I also am keeping the rule that only Japanese workers can be signed to non-touring except for one gaijin who will be main event pushed and I only sign 3 foreigners to touring contracts each tour.</p><p> </p><p> Art Reed is my new gaijin, so we'll see how long that last. Rokuemon seems better in this game as he's putting on fairly good matches but I have my eye on him.</p>
  13. The story marches on. The field looks set for some great match ups in the SCCW Championship Tournament. Each group has some heavy hitters, so something has to give. Also, the Tag Team Championship Scramble looks to crown the best Tag Team in the South! And what is Paul Steadyfast up to after his first round loss to the Ice Man? Prediction Box for the LOLs
  14. <p>How do you guys build new stars. I want to push guys like Dillon, Parker and my new call ups, but they start so low in pop. </p><p> </p><p> Do you guys give them wins up the card with the "keep opponent strong" gimmick?</p>
  15. LOL don't worry about that. TEW actually got me into Japanese Wrestling. I knew nothing about it when I started booking PGHW in TEW05. Hopefully it does the same to you. There's a lot of good stuff out there.
  16. Here are my big predictions: MAW is thriving and is the first stop for the majority of above average wrestlers. I see them intentionally remaining small. PSW has either completed the revolution and has a TV deal or they're completely gone. I think that they're going to have a small TV deal but struggling. USPW is basically current WWE, SWF is Ruthless Aggression/ Attitude WWE and TCW is ROH. I think TCW will be solidly Cult, but will have lost almost all of it's stars. SWF will be on an upswing and USPW will still be the #1 promotion but they'll be in trouble and dropping fast. SOTBPW will be gone and Mexico will basically be a power vacuum. BHOTWG will still be number 1. GCG and BCG will either merge or BCG will overtake GCG and GCG will close. I think PGHW dies after the tsunami, but I know it's Adam's favorite company so I'm not sure. WEXXV stays alive defying the odds but is small. WLW takes the slot PGHW was in and is the company that can potentially overtake BHOTWG. Europe and England I don't care about usually. One thing to remember is that, while the CVerse is a reflection of the real world, it has to be crafted to allow people to do different challenges and goals. It's why WEXXV has stuck around (allowing people to play a promotion where they can run japanese death matches), why you had BCG and PGHW resist the Modern Japan Movement (so you can continue running touring promotions), COTT was created (DOTT was so popular and it's fun running an NWA-type alliance), etc.
  17. <blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Rayelek" data-cite="Rayelek" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="41263" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Looking for a new tag name for the Good Ol Boys, they're going to be a War Machine rip off to go along with The American Cobras as a reDragon rip off, and Hudson Drake & Morgan Malone as The Dynamite Club, a Young Bucks rip off.<p> </p><p> Also any ideas for someone signable at the beginning of the game who could seem like/ be The Briscoes?</p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Blue Collar Crush</p><p> Teamsters</p><p> Country Breakfast</p><p> </p><p> Edit: I have one for you. Maeda died and I applied for ownership of BCG and took over. On a whim, I noticed tried to buy GCG and noticed I could, so I pillaged them took their championships and bunch of workers. Now I'm running a GCG vs. BCG story with the Golden Circle faction vs. the Black Lions faction. The idea is that I'm going to unify the belts to form new belts. However, I want new belts and need names for them. The idea is that it's not necessarily a BCG vs. GCG unification, it's more that GCG is finally coming home.</p><p> </p><p> Keeping that in mind, any ideas for names for the new, unified belts? And should I change the company name?</p>
  18. OK, 1 year into my BCG game I accidentally hit cult and was bleeding money. 8 months into my Cult status and I've finally become profitable with literally 30k left in the bank (I made literally $400). I'm making 250k in PPV revenue which is helping immensely, so all is not lost. I had to be smart with my shows and my workers. I'm hoping to be able to ride this for a while and save up some money before going to National where I'll be battling WLW and BHOTWG. I seem to have the cult scene locked down with Machine Gun Torrii and Funakoshi being my aces. Financewise - I'm keeping my wages sub 200k. Making 250k in PPV and tickets and 50k in TV and 90k in merch and 150k in sponsorship. Rokuemon Matsushita has been a MASSIVE disappointment. I gave him a challenger series run with the belt and took it off of him in favor of Hirobumi Takimoto, who I'm also, albeit a little less, disappointed in. Bunrakuken Torii has been my champion since day 1 but he's going to drop it soon to Funakoshi. Blast Ikoma has settled in as a perennial Upper midcard gatekeeper. PGHW release Tsurayuki Kamachi in December 2016 and I snapped him up and he's got great chemistry with both Funakoshi and Torrii so he's a main event mainstay (for under 1500). The future finally looks bright for BCG in October 2017. Let's see what happens. Edit: Also, PGHW just released a ton of midcarders (who for us would be solid UMC) but since I'm trying to keep the wages down, I'm not touching them yet. Maybe I'll start rotating guys, (make a few cuts to overpaid MC and LMC and bring these guys in).
